This place is so fun with the exquisite and unique cocktails they make. Be warned, it is highly recommended that you get reservations or you come real early or after midnight or so to get in easily or else you're looking at over an hour or so wait. I was lucky to get in within half an hour and was able to have a couple of tasty drinks at the normal bad. I heard the food is good but I didn't get a chance to try it. The coop is where all the magic happens. The atmosphere and vibe is pretty dope and lively. The drinks as described on the menu, all taste like what they are. The melon prosciutto was excellent. My favorite was the thai curry that wasn't too sweet even with the Popsicle. I got to try the Waldorf salad which was also fun and great. The staff was super attentive despite the busyness of the environment. One of the best cocktail bars I've been to.

Doublely let me in!!!!! Chicken little please. This is one hell of a "Bok-bok-bok-ba-gawk!” We came 30mins prior to opening and there was already a queue to get into the coop! So we were the first to be shown seats at the Free Range. Which worked out perfectly. We started from the free range and worked our way into the coop!!!!! Poison apple, the Pooh, P.U.T.S and Ogres have layers to kick off the evening. And when we made it into the coop we had the Waldorf salad, the Japanese cold noodle as appetisers. Finally decided to eat a salted egg chicken sandwich. To finish the night with a cold pizza and a Thai curry! What a blast. On cloud 9. I can’t feel my feet.

Really really cool spot. Overall I enjoyed everything I had, with the star being the popcorn chicken. Sadly they were out of one thing I wanted to try. I got to try both the free range area, as well as the coop. Both have different menus and both have interesting things on each. Only thing that somewhat soured the visit, is the last drink took ~30 minutes or so to come out. I believe the staff forgot about it, since a table near us ordered after and got their drinks 10 minutes before. With that said I would definitely go back.

I’ve been eagerly anticipating trying this restaurant, and I was thrilled to finally experience it with my best friend yesterday. Unfortunately, it was completely booked, but the hostess was incredibly accommodating. She explained the two different menus and the front and back bars. She suggested that if we wanted to dine in, we could enjoy the small plates, taps, and security cocktails at the front bar, which had a charming decor. The drinks were curated cocktails inspired by classic cartoons. We tried the PUTS, a cocktail inspired by SpongeBob SquarePants. It had a fruity and tropical flavor, and the more you stirred, the sweeter it became. It started sour at the top and became sweeter at the bottom, which was a unique and delightful experience. I also tried the oysters, which were the best I’ve ever had. They were complemented by a grapefruit granita, similar to an Italian icy or sorbet, and topped with green Tabasco. It was a perfect dish, and I didn’t need to add anything else. We also tried the chicken and egg, but it wasn’t my favorite because I’m not a fan of tofu. We didn’t realize it was tofu until we switched it out for the stuffed chicken. I didn’t get a picture of the stuffed chicken because I was so hungry and ate it too quickly. However, it was delicious. Despite waiting an hour to get into the dining room, which was frustrating since we knew it was completely booked, I’m so glad we finally got a seat. The back room was where we wanted to be. It was the perfect place for enjoying dinner cocktails, which were curated by specializing in food. Did you hear me? I said the drinks are made of food dishes! That’s the reason I came here in the first place. I love curated cocktails, and I don’t think they get enough recognition. They’re literally art. I ordered the mango sticky rice, while my friend opted for the red gravy. Both dishes were incredibly authentic, making it feel like we were dining on the real deal. The mango sticky rice was equally delightful, and I paired it with their renowned hot honey chicken sandwich. Honestly, it was the best fried chicken sandwich I’ve had in ages. It was perfectly seasoned, lightly breaded, and not greasy at all. The sauces, including the hot honey sauce, were simply phenomenal. Topped with a pretzel bun, it was a complete delight. My friend enjoyed the popcorn chicken, which I thoroughly enjoyed as well. The seasonings, including the white pepper, were spot on. After each bite, the spices were evident, and I couldn’t complain. The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect, with great music and attentive staff. Our waiter, Victor at the front bar and Ryan at the back bar, went above and beyond to ensure our first-time experience was memorable. I can’t wait to return and try other drinks, such as the doughnut chicken sandwich and the Keylime pie cocktail. I’m eager to discover their unique flavors.

We loved our experience. We enjoyed a tap cocktail on arrival before managing to get a seat up at the bar in the coop after about 20mins. We loved sitting at the bar, staff super friendly and happy to chat. Cocktails were amazing, we worked our way through a fair few on the menu. My favourite was the cold pizza. Snacks delicious too.

The fried chicken sandwich was probably the best fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. All of the cocktails were fun, inventive, and beautifully made. There were three of us, and we each tried three cocktails, so we got a pretty good sense of the menu. The pizza cocktail was a standout and surprisingly delicious. Yes, the line is long, but it is worth it. We went early, put our name down, grabbed a drink at another bar, and came back when our table was ready. It worked out perfectly. Overall, both the food and drinks were excellent, and the experience was a lot of fun. Highly recommend if you can snag a spot.

Before I start, my wife and I arrived as walk-in 45mins after they opened and we had 3hr wait. Not to mention it was really cold outside. We opted for seats at The Coop. Naturally we had really high expectations. The drinks and food were great! The cocktails were inventive and we really enjoyed them. We had one drink that was too sweet but they pulled it from our bill. The food was delicious and came out really quick. Also the space was beautifully designed. We really enjoyed ourselves, but the wait made it tough to consider a revisit.

Came by to check out their drinks on a thursday night after work, you have to choose between the old menu or the new menu when you walk in. My group went with the new one in orange because the other old version in black would be a two hour wait, we had a party of five but could only get seats for 4 by the bar so we had to rotate seats and take turns standing on the side. The menu was really cool and there's a mini game you can play to help you randomly choose a drink, we all think it's rigged, because all of us kept getting the number 4, i ended up trying four because that was also what the bartender recommended as a fruity drink, but I didn't like it so I traded with my friend and he got like a coffee drink. Donut chicken sandwich looks cool but is skippable and has a spicy kick to it, i found out that it was coming from spicy pineapples which was interesting. Hot honey sandwich was pretty good. Our seats were still not ready for the other bar by the time we finished and every time we asked the waiter, it's always a 30 minutes or 45 minutes additional wait even though it's already past the two hours estimate we got since 6pm. The seating arrangement felt really messy. I think this is one of those places where you would try once and probably won't go back again for me. And definitely not worth the two hour wait. I also couldn't understand why they wouldn't just serve all the drinks at the place and would have to split it by the front and the back seating... that really didn't make sense.

We didn’t have to wait too long to get in, maybe 20 minutes. The food was decent but nothing overly special, one of the chicken sandwiches was a lot spicier than expected though! The drinks were okay. Overall, it didn’t live up to expectations but we came because it was named one of the best bars in the world, so it was still a cool experience and we had fun!

Was a little disappointed. The salted egg yolk sandwich was dry and fairly average in taste. The hot honey sandwich had no taste of heat nor honey, and was not a fan of the green sauce. Food was surprisingly filling though, and the service/atmosphere was great.

I wanted to love it more but it was just ok. Glad I checked it out though. No reservation, started lining up out front at 4:30 and got seated in back of bar right at 5pm. Yay. I really didn’t like how all the drinks are premade. That means no substitutions or bartender showmanship. Seems criminal for $20+ each. The cold pizza drink was interesting but that’s about it. Lots of drinks have milk or egg in it. The mushroom poppers were very disappointing and tasted like shiitakes on some puff pastry. The chicken poppers were good though. Would recommend that or the sandwich.

Went to Double Chicken Please for dinner, and the experience was nothing short of interesting. The restaurant/bar opens at 5 PM, but even by 4:30 PM, there was already a snaking queue outside (refer to image). It took around 30 minutes before I reached the service staff at the front door. The space is divided into two sections — “Free Range” and “The Coop.” Free Range serves as a casual waiting area and bar where you can enjoy creative cocktails before getting a table inside The Coop. At Free Range, the cocktails were truly unique — inspired by cartoons and playful concepts. My friend and I tried Side Kart, Pocket of Sweets, and P.U.T.S. — all of which were refreshingly inventive and fun. Once seated inside The Coop, we ordered the Salted Egg Yolk Chicken Sandwich. The chicken patty was large and nicely battered, but I would’ve preferred a more generous amount of salted egg yolk sauce. The drink menu here is arranged like a full-course meal — starting with appetizers, then mains, and ending with dessert-inspired cocktails. We tried the Japanese Cold Noodles, and it was mind-blowing — it tasted exactly like cold soba! Definitely the highlight of the night. We also tried the Key Lime Pie and Cold Pizza cocktails, but those were just okay in comparison. Overall, it’s a fun and creative concept, blending cocktails with culinary themes in a sleek setting. That said, the price point is on the higher side, and while it was worth experiencing once, I probably wouldn’t rush back. Rating: 3.5/5 ⭐️

I was at this place mostly for the drinks, but had the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich as well while I was here I'll mention the drinks to start off. I tried a bit of all the 6 we ordered, and most of them were fine - with the Key Lime and Mango Sticky Rice being the standouts. None of them were overly special, though I also got the chicken sandwich, as mentioned. There were some things to like about this. One was that the bun was toasted really well, and had a good amount of oil/butter over the top and on the inside. I liked the pickles as well. The chicken also wasn't dry at all - it was really well cooked. A lot of juiciness was present on the inside. The green curry sauce was interesting, although I'm not sure it worked all the way for me. The problem was the complete lack of crunch. When you have a chicken sandwich, having it be crispy on the outside is so important, because unlike fried chicken, the buns soften up the bite, which makes the crispiness just that much more important to stand out. When you get it wrong, like done here, the meat has a similar texture to the buns, which just results in soft bite over soft bite, which is just not that enjoyable. A lot of fast food chicken places are able to get the crunchiness done much better than I've seen here, so I was very disappointed by the lack of a good texture This restaurant is expensive. Each drink is basically 20 bucks at a minimum, and the chicken sandwich is also around that. The portion sizes are not huge either Given how popular this place is, I expected either the drinks or food to be a lot better than they were. There's too much other good food & bars in New York to be waiting at a reservation here. 6/10
