Opinions de drip coffee makers New York
We stopped into Drip on Thanksgiving morning and it felt like such a gift. It is a beautiful, intentional coffee shop tucked inside a gorgeous building, with plenty of comfortable lobby seating where you can actually sit, exhale, and enjoy your cup instead of rushing out the door. Everything feels thoughtfully curated, from the layout to the clean, minimalist bar, to the option to enjoy your drink for here or take it to go as you wander SoHo. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners, a couple who left the corporate world to build something with real meaning. You can feel that this place is not driven by money, it is driven by purpose, craft, and care. They walked us through the different beans, from lighter, brighter roasts all the way to deeper, darker options, and helped us pick out a bag of Black & White beans to take home. Our coffees were pulled on a beautiful Strada, perfectly dialed in, with silky, glossy milk and latte art that was so precise it lined up with the handle, with perfect contrast in the cup. What stayed with me most was hearing their story and seeing how deeply they dive into everything they take on. Their knowledge of coffee is encyclopedic, yet their vibe is grounded, humble, and warm. It was genuinely humbling to hear about their journey from corporate to coffee and to experience how that shows up in every detail of the shop. I cannot wait to cross paths with them again at Specialty Coffee Association or Coffee Fest one day, and we will definitely be back the next time we are in New York.
This place is exceptional on every level. I ordered a pour over and a flat white—both were perfect. The flavor, texture, and balance were spot on. You can tell they take coffee seriously here. What truly sets this spot apart, though, are the people. Gio and Chris are incredibly knowledgeable, generous with their time, and genuinely kind. They offered great recommendations and answered all my questions without hesitation. Their passion for coffee and hospitality really shines through. Will definitely make it a point to visit here anytime I’m in NY!
Drip belongs in every list of top espresso in the city. They consistently deliver expertly pulled shots and perfect textured milk. The crew is always ready with a smile and some coffee to lighten up my work day. Gio has even recommended great coffee shops in other cities and has expert brewing advice for my home setup. I consider Drip one of the best perks of my office.
Incredible pour overs and espresso! I travel all over and try and find shops that can do these things well. This is hands down the best I've had. The fruit snacks blend from Black and White was unique and delicious. I took some of the tips I got from the staff here with a couple of bags of coffee and V60 papers home, and I have absolutely improved my home pour overs. I can't wait to come back and see what they have to offer next time I'm in New York.
I went in just to get off the rain and man was it a good idea! The coffee was delicious and you could see the barista was really conscious of everyone’s order. There wasn’t much on the menu (food wise) but everything looked delicious and tempting. I had this onion cheesy bread that was fenomenal and a latte with oat milk. 10/10 on both. The place was nice, kind of the entrance to a building so a couple of people going in and out, but there were big tables with outlets if you’re looking for somewhere to work in.
One of very few places in NYC where you can get a really quality pour over. I ordered the Juan Peña roasted by Anomalous coffee. It was a banger. The retail selection is really good. Assembly, Black and White, Onyx, Blind Tiger, Loveless Coffee, and more. They even have some of the Black and White Black Label for retail sale.
Finally stopped by this location and always no doubt with their coffee. Still a to-go spot, it’s inside the building. Iced Americano using guest espresso was amazzzinggg.. nothing to complain. This coffee bean was refreshing, fruity, and lovely. No milk needed.
Another amazing experience with this coffee shop. I’ve been to their Brooklyn location and it was remarkable, so I was a little hesitant to head out to a more central location knowing how a good thing can be spoiled by expansion. However, the barista was really friendly, calm and polite. The espresso was pulled immaculately and showed the flavor profile exactly as he described it. The milk was perfectly steamed and the ideal temperature. My only qualm about it was that we received latte sized cups for our cappuccinos.
The strawberry catiope is delicious! Probably the best pour over I’ve had. Forest grape co ferment is really good too - it’s the fancier one; I’m just not so much a grape person but my companion loved it. The baristas are friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend a trip to Drip!
I recently stumbled upon a small coffee bar tucked away in the heart of our university, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! With just a few seats and an intimate ambiance, this hidden gem exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Here's why I highly recommend it: First and foremost, the coffee served here is simply outstanding. The moment I took my first sip of their cold brew, I was blown away by its rich and smooth flavour. It was the perfect balance of boldness and subtle sweetness. Whether you're a coffee connoisseur or just a casual drinker, you're bound to appreciate the quality and craftsmanship that goes into their brews. Their matcha was pretty good too! What truly sets this coffee bar apart, however, is the exceptional service provided by the young, cool lads who work here. They are not only knowledgeable about their craft but also genuinely passionate about creating an enjoyable experience for their customers. Their polite and friendly demeanor makes you feel instantly welcome, and their dedication to delivering top-notch service is commendable. They should be proud of the welcoming vibe they create. Although the coffee bar is small and cozy, it does not compromise on comfort. The few available seats are comfortable and well-maintained, allowing you to relax and savor your cup of joe. The intimate setting fosters a sense of connection, making it an ideal spot for studying, catching up with friends, or simply taking a break from the bustling university environment. However, it's important to note that due to its size, this coffee bar does not have toilet facilities available. While this might be a minor inconvenience, it is understandable given the limited space they have. As a customer, I didn't find it to be a major issue, but it's worth considering if you require immediate restroom access. (I now saw they have two other locations) In conclusion, if you're searching for a fantastic cup of coffee in a cool and inviting atmosphere, this small coffee bar is the place to be. The excellent coffee, combined with the exceptional service from the friendly and knowledgeable staff, creates an experience that is sure to leave you impressed! So grab a seat (if you can), indulge in their heavenly cold brew, and enjoy the delightful ambiance of this university coffee haven
If you are looking for third-wave coffee (single origin, lighter roasts) in Manhattan, this is the place! Chris, the barista is wonderfully knowledgeable, and they have the most exciting lineup of beans I've seen (everything from ice processed to hop infused). The Café is located inside Adelphi university but super easy to spot. Although it's not the most "grammable" cafe, it is quiet and the pourover is amazing. Not sure you really need more than that.
Great flavors, attitude and info. All around, very solid spot Just to add a bit more. On my return visit I wish I could give more stars. It’s a hub of amazing people (both staff and guests) who share passion about coffee and every part of human life that intersects it. Thanks guys!
Ladies and gentlemen: this is the best and finest coffee ☕ in NYC. Come and drink please. Wow. However: drink it in this branch and avoid the one in Dumbo. Goodbye.
Awesome crew, fantastic multi-roaster cafe. When I was last here they had a variety of Black & White, Onyx, Junto, and Loveless options. Would definitely stop again if I was anywhere close.
My favorite NYC coffee place. Good pourover, super friendly staff who obviously has a huge passion for spesialty coffee, absolutely recommend if you’re in town.

The best pour over in the city by far. They always have seating space and great, hospitable and knowledgeable baristas. They also have Black&White coffee bags for sale. Everytime I come to NYC I come by.
Though a little steep in price, the pourovers here are out of this world. They use high end coffee beans with options from washed coffees to co-ferments and thermal shock coffees. The flavor profile is absolutely spot on and the clarity is top notch. The workers behind the brew bar do genuinely seem to care about the passion of coffee and will talk to you and explain any questions you have about the brewing process and why they brew the way they do for a particular coffee. Pretty much the only place I know of in Manhattan that will produce a good pourover.
Drip is one of the best multi-roaster coffee shops in NYC. What sets them apart is the staff. Any location you go to you will meet friendly, knowledgeable and down to earth people who are willing to chat. If you are anywhere near a drip, stop in, have high quality roasted coffee made to perfection.

Lowkey spot in the Horizon Media building. They brew a Stumptown blend as their coffee and Black n White for their espresso. The drink was well-prepared but the blend itself didn’t have any notable flavors. Good vibe to chill with friends or do work.

Good pour overs but really expensive. The iced Americano was watery. Service was great! The guy with the tattoos was really nice and made good coffee. The office building this cafe is in is hilarious. Fantastic people watching. Corporate millennial vibes. Lots of cardigans and sambas. Highly recommend. And the seating is surprisingly comfy although I don't think its for the cafe.

Matcha is diluted, worst matcha ever. Waste of my money and more importantly waste of my time. Wouldn’t recommend at all…
