They good was great, the utensils packaging was great. Wish the space was bigger with more seats. The customer service was fast and easy. As for the price i think it was fair. And their homemade tea was delicious as well. Can't wait for people to try it out.
After calling two places prior to this one, I am so glad they were both closed. The food came fast, was warm and very fresh. I love how they don’t drown the boneless ribs in that red sauce. The rib meat tasted perfect. Thanks for the great service.

I used to go to this place everyday after school, absolutely adore the service, always treated me with smiles with conversations and gave me extra packets of chips with my soup. The lo mein is amazing. Highly recommend
Had been walking around all day and was looking for a place to pick up and take back to time share. Asked the doorman for a recommendation of where he would go. The food was amazing. And when I heated the leftovers the next day - the pork fried rice was even better. That isn’t something you find a lot. Would definitely recommend.
I moved to the UES over a year ago and I still cannot find a Chinese take-out restaurant as good as East Palace. I miss it soooo much. I had no idea that I had been so lucky for all those years living on 42nd Street and having them near by. I used to order about once a week and the food was always excellent, tasty, fresh and delivered in record time. I miss it so much that I am thinking of walking the 50 blocks just to pick up dinner for tonight. It's really that good--trust me!!!
Always super fast and tasty! Beef with mixed vegetables, pepper steak, and fried scallops are my favs!

Enjoyed lunch. Large portions, tasty fresh food and good service. I had the bento box.

This has been my recent go to for Chinese take out (I pick up). The hot and sour soup taste fresh and is chock full of what H&S soup should be full of. My other go to's have been the pint size portions of meat, chicken or pork and mixed vegetables...perfect size for one. Had the pork chow fun and the cold noodles with sesame sauce and both were good as well. So far all has been very consistent in taste so for now these will be my go to's.
Okay, so my husband and I are ardent Grand Sichuan Eastern fans for our Chinese Food fix.. But today we were getting back from work and the rainy-chilly-gloomy weather forced us to get food which was warm and quick and close to our apartment- and we zeroed in on East Palace which is a minute from where we live. This place should not be judged by it's Green shabby billboard and interiors which are minimalistic and usually don't have many people dining in (a reason for my initial hesitation to go here). We got two hot and sour soups "to go" and for $2.55 each I would say the portion was pretty good. By the time we got home, the soups were still piping hot and I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor- perfect hot and sour balance and the accompanying crisps added a little something something. I also realized that the reason for the seeming lack of people in the restaurant is because this place is mainly for take-out or delivery. I am looking forward to order food from here the next time we plan to eat Chinese although for dine-in, Grand Sichuan Eastern is still my preferred choice. Also, the proud "NO MSG" signs everywhere add a sense of reassurance that the food you're getting is made from good ingredients.
The hot and sour soup and steamed pork dumplings were quite good. Everything else wasn't great but still edible. I'll be back.
Chicken with Chinese broccoli was delicious. You can actually taste the ginger and garlic. Highly recommended.

My order: -Kung Pao chicken (large) -Steamed vegetables (small) (Each of these items came with small white rice) The good: the service was very fast. The bad: There was little to no kick to the chicken. The veggies were alright. And all for $25. What happened to the days when Chinese food was cheap and good? Maybe I just didn’t order the right thing.

Tex-mex place, mostly take out. Not a lot of seating options. Prices are good, food is decent. Get Home made iced tea!
Food is pretty good prices went up too much maybe because of the pandemic King chicken with broccoli garlic sauce is very good

A waste of time and money. You cannot put certain sides/food together even if willing to pay as a rule... fine. If for any reason you would still like to purchase read on. I grabbed the food and left. As I'm going to the area where the utensils and condiments are. I decided to just take duck sauce no utensils. They're unsanitary. Ketchup platters some looking a few days old. To clarify i already paid for the food so, no forks but fine. Back at the desk I was completely mad. I ordered a sweet and sour chicken. There were more unnecessary vegetables in the sweet and sour chicken than actual sauce. The container the chicken was in was cracked. The chicken not cooked nor breaded right. A waste, a complete waste. In the name of being positive I tried to eat it, but my palate for food can handle charred not burnt food. I couldn't do it. The rice is untouched. I'm not going to risk it. Poor show . One star for accepting credit cards and the cold grape soda that helped wash away the attempt to eat this food.

Trash Chinese food with oddly flavored noodles, undercooked dumplings, and stale meat. $20 a dish. 2/5 stars as a lunch spot.
A fellow customer made repeated and vulgar threats to physically assault me. I made repeated pleas to the restaurant staff to handle the situation and protect me however they all watched silently while smiling. Because the restaurant does not care about the very own safety of its customers, everyone should not enter its premises.
Today I ordered Sweet and Sour Pork Lunch special instead I got breaded chicken with nasty sour sauce on the side. There was more breading than chicken. The nasty-es thing ever. Never again
I just found a bug in my food. They have good food this was my third time ordering and my first time finding a bug. Two baby roaches in my chicken with broccoli. I'm beyond grossed out.
Food is mediocre, but what's worse is the short and stout lady who works the counter. Apparently she thinks it's ok to be sarcastic with her customers, shouting sayings like "are you home? Your food is ready!" She also rushes customers into ordering.
