Amazing experience every time! ALI, the owner, and the teams at the Washington Heights and Columbus Avenue locations truly go above and beyond due to his leadership! My friend and I have some interesting salad specifications, and they handled everything with incredible attention to detail and great customer service. What really stands out is that Ali personally makes himself available by cell if customers ever have questions or concerns—something you never see from a restaurant owner. These guys are absolutely amazing. I genuinely order from here often and have never had a single issue. Maybe it's luck but there's no other feeling that makes me feel more blessed than spending my hard earned money on amazing food. The quality has never been lacking and their food is always fresh.
I’ve been coming here at least once a week for the past two months since I moved to the area, and this place has truly become a favorite. The food is consistently delicious, the portions are generous, and everything is prepared quickly without ever feeling rushed. What really sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Every single interaction is filled with kindness, respect, and genuine care. The way they speak to customers and the warmth they bring into the space makes you feel welcomed and valued every time you walk in. It’s rare to find a team that carries themselves with so much decency.

Great place, they’re efficient and good servers! the place is spacious too and has good seating. Alejandra is very friendly and a great cashier, I always have a good experience when I come here ^^
I’ve ordered from this spot quite a few times! Every time the food has been hot and delicious. The chicken tenders are HUGE and the secret chick’s sauce is so good. I’ve also ordered the fish platter. I love how crispy the outside is and the flavor is on point for me. I would recommend ordering your sauces on the side if you do takeout!
I came here a few times and each time was pretty good. This my 2nd time getting fish the first time fish was delicious, fresh, and cooked right. This time the fish was fried way too hard and very very dry. Did not look or taste fresh at all. Feel like I wasted my money UPDATE***** Already reached out to the owner who was very nice and professional in which he said he will make it right. A++++++++ Service.. rating change from1 to 5 stars for that!

This place is always clean and worth coming and enjoying a meal weather dining in (limited space) or taking out. What a nice staff, amazing service, good prices and great portions.
The three chicken tenders with french fries combo is to die for these tenders are big,juicy and will definitely have you full. This place since it opening has been jampacked. It ain’t hard to tell why. It’s awesome and they’re open late.
This was my first time ordering from here via Uber Eats, and I was very disappointed. I ate from many halal food carts and restaurants over NYC, so I know the food very well. My food arrived cold, and there was barely any white sauce on the food. I asked in the order notes to kindly be heavy on the white sauce but that didn't happen. The lamb was tasty, but unfortunately due to the lack of white sauce and cold food, it ruined my lunch. Please pay attenton to order notes in the future.
Take my review with a grain of salt, as I don't eat meat, but I enjoy this place, but it's not my go to halal spot. I always get the falafel platter, and I'm always waiting forever for the falafel to be ready. I do like that you can assemble your own platter, but service is pretty standard. Food is pretty good, but the wait time really gets to me sometimes.
Late night halal spot, open till 4am. Decent size menu, chicken or lamb platters, gyros, wings, chicken sandwiches etc. good service & extremely convenient. Small seating area.
The guy that scooping the meat and rice is being cheap with the portion! And charged you extra $1 for the fries that used to be free with the combo. But other than that ,the food is good👍🏽
They hook you up on the wrap but the flavor was not there. I don't eat meat or dairy; they add milk to the tahini sauce. Yeah I wasn't crazy about the food. That's me though. I looks very clean inside too.
😞 Whenever I go to New York City, I always make it a point to pick up food from Chicken and Platter in Harlem. Their food has always been delicious, and they’ve consistently made the platters with great taste and care. However, this time I was really disappointed. When I got home and opened the platter, I noticed that the portion was significantly smaller than usual. While the quality and flavor were still the same, the quantity had been reduced noticeably. They really need to consider this, as consistency in both taste and portion size is important to loyal customers like me.
Just your basic fare. A little bit of everything. Hamburgers, chicken wings, gyros, chickpeas, baklava. The place is new and spotlessly clean. The food is decent. The fries are nice and chunky. Service is good. Only 3 small tables for sitting. So this is more of a takeout place. All drinks are canned. No fountain sodas here. Lots of grilled meats to choose from. Kitchen is hidden in the back so not sure if it is frozen or made in house. The hamburger patty was overcooked and dry.
Ordered the cheeky fries from here and of course it was good. Recently ordered the lamb salad and it was pretty disappointing, the grub hub description says “Freshly homemade salad comes with Lamb and our delicious Mediterranean salad (lettuce tomato, cucumbers, onions) lettuces hummus, chickpeas, olives, cheese,coselow & corn” there were barely any tomatos or cucumber, no olives, cheese or coleslaw, hummus or chickpeas. Mostly corn and bean salad doused in white sauce.
Food is great, but they prioritize delivery orders over customers that came to the store. I am always waiting 20 minutes or more for just one dish when I see dozens of other dishes going into delivery bags. Doesn’t feel fair to leave the customer waiting for so long who decided to show up. Otherwise, delicious food
Inconsistent food, 3-4months ago food used to be very good, used to be a good quantity and quality for the price. Now quantity has reduced and so does quality. Very inconsistent. Sometimes you get lucky you get better food other times you'll regret wasting money on it.......... Date: 12/19/2025 Thank you for replying Halal chicks & platters.
Order $150 worth of food and couldn't customize one order and always late. You need to talk to your impolite sandwich bagger, the cashier and preparer was all good. The Nashville came with a lot of hot sauce. Asked for one platter to be served with pita without rice for extra cost and was impolitely denied.
Make sure you speak Spanish or are an influencer if you want decent service at this place. After 25 minutes of waiting for my food, when I go to the counter and ask what’s up, the lady at the counter screams something at the kitchen and prints me a refund slip. I was too stunned to even react. Edit: To the owner of Halal Chicks and Platters, thank you for your prompt response. If only your restaurant staff were as attentive and responsive as you are in responding to reviews, they would realize that I asked for a falafel over rice platter and not fish. I am a vegetarian, but please thank your staff for the unexpected generosity. I will be in touch if the refund doesn’t come through.
15 dollars for a platter don’t get fooled by this. I used to get food from here everyday for the past couple of days the portion is literally 30 percent less than what I used to be. I think this is under new management. Won’t come back. The other spots are much better.
I ordered on online and got my food after 1 hour and 20 minutes. Food was cold and falafel was not cooked well it’s smelling. Also they didn’t give me napkins and tishue😢
