Opinions de Haru Sushi New York
Had dinner here with coworkers and had the pleasure of being severed by Nina who was absolutely amazing. She was very knowledgeable of the food option and was very attentive, plus the food was on point. Christopher the manager also dropped by and checked in a few times while also sharing a few laughs with him a couple staff members . We'll definitely return in the future.
I simply must say that after coming here for years that it’s time that I give it an A+ review after stopping by yesterday. My wife and I enjoy it even better than the old Haru spot. Old timers in NYC def remember that great vibe at Haru but I’ll say that the GM Chris here at RA has kicked it up a notch since taking over the helm. Dj last night was excellent, lots of people both locals and tourists were coming into the restaurant after 5pm. The staff and more importantly our bartenders were both attentive and on top of their game throughout the night as we stayed there for over 3.5 hours at the bar. Time goes by very quick over at RA and that certainly isn’t a bad thing. Food on point every time we have come no matter if sitting at the bar or in the main dining area in the back. Shout out to Adrian who was slinging drinks all night long behind the bar and kudos to the team over at RA. Keep doing your thing…always a pleasure coming into the restaurant.
RA Sushi was a great experience from start to finish. The staff and manager were extremely attentive and genuinely kind. Annie went above and beyond to take care of our table and made sure everything was perfect. The restaurant was clean, the ambiance was fun and inviting, and the food and drinks were excellent. Definitely a spot I’d recommend and would visit again.
I have been to the RAH sushi in Pembroke Pines, Florida and now in New York City time Square and I can honestly say the one in New York City Time Square is the best Adrian was so attentive and the manager was just absolutely phenomenal. The DJ that they hired was absolutely fabulous. We love Sophia and it was just an amazing atmosphere. We will definitely come again.
Great location, just steps away from Times Square. The interior is stylish, and the red tones give the restaurant a really cool, vibrant atmosphere. The food was delicious and definitely worth trying — I would absolutely come back. My only suggestion is about the music. The day I visited, there was a DJ playing, and while the music itself was good, I was expecting something a bit more in line with Japanese vibes — softer and more relaxing. The volume was also a bit too loud for my taste. Overall, a great experience and a place I would definitely recommend.
What an AMAZING dining experience we had after arriving from Washington DC! The Manager Christopher welcomed us at the door, we asked to be seated at the bar in which we received PHENOMENAL service from Tiara! The DJ arrived at 7pm and it was a whole vibe! The sushi was fresh and quite tasty! We will make it a point to drop here everytime in the city! Thank You!
Superior atmosphere pairing with a perfect date night, girls night or business casual vibe. The music choice was great because of the live DJ. Our bartender Tiara had great menu recommendations. The GM Chris was walking around each table giving an even more personable experience to all of us. 10/10 can’t wait to come again.
This establishment run by GM Chris is welcoming, professional and delicious! They have wonderful happy hour specials from 3-6 & 9pm till closing. What caught my attention the most is how welcoming the GM is. He saw to it that all of our needs are met. If you are a fan of Benihana then think of as a twin sister but with more variety of fresh sushi. Open late and conveniently located in Times Square.
We came in to town for a show and on a Saturday night with only a couple hours to spare we're able to get a reservation into this fun, hip and absolutely smashing sushi restaurant. As a sushi snob, I hold places to high standards and there was no disappointment at all. The staff were all friendly and attentive and the sushi was delicious! We got a couple specialty rolls that were packed with flavor and the sushi/sashimi plate where the fish was fresh and perfect. We came away stuffed and it cost no more than I'd pay back in St Louis, which, for a hopping place on Manhattan says a lot. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for fresh and delicious sushi!
Came here with some friends for a casual lunch on a Saturday and, despite being a literal 30 second walk from Times Square, it was surprisingly empty! There were tons of menu options and the happy hour specials looked excellent. I had the black pepper teriyaki wings and cucumber avocado roll, both of which were good. They didn’t blow me away or anything but it was still enjoyable! My boyfriend also enjoyed his poke bowl. Quick service and solid food, although maybe a bit overpriced for what you get. Overall though I would come back!
Me and a friend stopped in this restaurant for lunch. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted and sat at a booth. Levi was our server and he was nice! We had the tasting menu and we ordered: Spritz Up Your Life Old Fashioned Garlic Edamame Ra ckin Shrimp shrimp Tempura roll Ra ckin Roll Sake Flight Hibachi Filet mignon and chicken Seafood Udon Toasted Cheesecake Chocolate Brownie The food and drinks were so good! My favorite was the Udon! All in all an amazing experience!
Went here for a dinner date with my boyfriend before walking around Times Square. We got the Titanic Roll and Spicy Tuna Maki roll, and they were superbbb. It seems like they typically take resverations, but we walked in and they sat us immediately regardless with excellent service. The chips and salsa were amazing with a twist to the salsa. It’s a little on the pricier end, so keep that in mind. However, they have amazing menu options and mocktails are tasty and great! For the price, the sushi, atmosphere, and service is definitely worth it.
Visiting NYC with my son and bestie. We decided to grab sushi and went to RA as it was close to our hotel in Times Square. The food was delicious. The drinks were crafty and tasty. Our server, Nicole, was so sweet and helpful. She helped my vegetarian friend find safe choices on the menu, and was perfectly attentive. Somehow, she always knew when we needed something and appeared like a magic fairy. It was such a good experience that we will likely return before our trip is over.
Went to restaurant during vacation for New Years 2026. Restaurant was nice. Food was ok. got the Filet and Chicken and Chicken Teriyaki. Filet and Chicken dish meats were dry and flavorless. Teriyaki was much better. Sushi was good. Waitress was excellent and service was great.
RA Sushi in Times Square is a lively and vibrant spot that makes sushi fun! The atmosphere is upbeat with a modern, energetic vibe—perfect for a night out with friends or a casual date. The menu is full of creative rolls and fresh sushi, and the cocktails are inventive and well-crafted. I tried the miso Chilean seabass roll (if available) and a few signature rolls—everything was flavorful and beautifully presented. Service was friendly and attentive, though the place can get a bit noisy during peak hours. Overall, it’s a great option if you want high-quality sushi with a fun, social atmosphere in the heart of the city. I’d definitely come back, especially for happy hour specials!
My drink of choice was the strawberry seduction for $17. It was really good, just wish the drink was bigger. I ordered the fried steak bowl for $19 and added shrimp. Each shrimp was $1, so you can choose how many shrimp you would like to add. The fried rice now was good. It was a bit on the dry side, so I asked for some soy sauce. The hibachi there is really expensive starting at $40 a plate, but they don’t cook the food in front of you. I would most definitely go back during Happy Hour.
we made a 6:30 reservation because friends had an 8:00 show. We were not seated until 6:47 --a theater district restaurant should honor reservation times. one we were seated we waited 30 MINUTES for water. The server was terrible. she took the order from two of us and then got distracted and walked away without taking the third person's order - we had to run after her to get her to come back to the table. And then she was basically absent the rest of the meal -- never checking in. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! The food, however, was quite tasty. But there are plenty of sushi restaurants in NYC with good food and good service. I will not return to Ra Sushi.
I don’t often leave reviews, but I’m still losing sleep over the value of this dinner so I need to warn someone else. Overall the food was pretty good, sushi rolls were tasty, hibachi was good, drinks seemed a little weak but tasted good. But overall I would say everything was…. Unremarkable. And I suppose it’s NYC and near times sq, across from the lyric theater, so prices are going to be a bit high. But I think this might be the most expensive dinner I’ve ever bought, and it tasted just like any other regular sushi place around. Nothing that made us think, wow this is high-end. Same little chopsticks you tear out of the paper and break apart, 1 large dining area with tons of tables stuck close together… I know, it’s self induced, the prices are on the menu, and we ordered a fair amount of stuff… but a pre-show dinner for two: 1 appetizer, 1 small soup, 3 sushi rolls, 1 hibachi dinner, 2 drinks and 1 beer, after 18% tip = $283. Coulda gone to our local spot like 3-4 times for the same meal… anyway, if this sounds like a totally reasonable price to you, then come give it a try! Maybe I’m just out of the tax bracket of most clientele.
Super disappointing experience. The food was subpar. Presentation was subpar. The service was subpar. It took over 10 minutes just to get a side of sauce. Employees were nowhere to be found for about 20 minutes during our dinner. The floor was completely empty with no service for the longest time, even though there was only four customers in the restaurant. We wanted to sit at a table and they said no because it was closed and then 10 minutes later they sat a different family there. Overpriced and not at all enjoyable. Would not recommend.
