Great spot for casual hangout! Visited on a Friday afternoon; they accommodated my friend and I although we didn’t have reservations. Had the chicken & fries… it was delicious! Bottomless mimosas for $23 (with purchase of an entree). My only critique is that they would not substitute orange juice for another flavour in the mimosa.
I came for brunch and had a lovely experience! The ambiance is so so cute, and also had ventilation and plastic deciders you for covid safety. The food was presented beautifully— very aesthetic. I got the French toast, which actually came out in a cube! It was a little tough/dry in comparison to other French toast I’ve had, but I loved the novelty and aesthetic presentation of it. Totally worth getting to try something new. Staff were very friendly too. There is a time limit (90 min) on your table, but they do a nice job of mentioning it beforehand rather than coming to kick you out.
First and foremost, I want to thank Jose for his amazing hospitality! He was kind, patient, and attentive - genuinely made us feel welcome. The decor of the rooftop was lovely, cozy, and perfect for date night. We ordered the calamari, havenly chicken, gnocchi, chocolate fondue, as well as some cocktails. The cocktails were delicious - very heavy handed on the alcohol! The calamari was perfectly fried. The gnocchi and chicken were both incredibly savory. The fondue was a perfect ending, and so very cute! We even noticed that they do cute things for birthdays!! Definitely recommend and will definitely return!
We spent the evening on the rooftop at Haven and it did not disappoint. They have a full service bar, with mocktails for the kids, a great view, and once the sun was down at 5:30 or 6, they opened the top for even better views. Our food was ok, but we also selected some of their more affordable dishes: the White Pizza and the Margarita Pizza with chicken, along with the Vodka Penne. Each was fine, but not the best we've had. Didn't matter. The kids enjoyed the Blueberry Crush mocktail, several, and we enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc. Combined with stellar service from Thomas and the great views, this was our favorite evening spot during our 6 day stay in NYC.
Everything about this place was great, there is nothing that could've possibly been better. I appreciated that the kitchen was not open yet at the time our visit but we were able to order cocktails while we waited. The food and drinks were great, the service was great... walking distance to times square. Also loved the lobby downstairs.
This is a gem in NYC. Located on the rooftop of Sanctuary Hotel you can get cozy with other New Yorkers, grab a few drinks and eat great food. The staff here is wonderful.
We had tickets to a show and decided on The Haven for lunch before the show. I made a reservation the day before. The vibe is so chill and trendy. The server was so accommodating. The food was soooo good. We started out with some mock tails. They have bottomless mimosas. We had the Havenly Chicken and the Crabcakes Benadict. So good! Right there in the theater district. I will definitely go back.
Very nice place, I dont have a reservation but they accommodated me and was able to sit at the bar and have had a nice chat with their lovely and friendly bartender. All of their staff are wonderful, they reflect the great costumer service standards. I will definitely be coming back to try their other menus.
Stayed at the hotel "Sanctuary " and went up to eat. Amazing. Great service and really good food. Special thanks to "Cansu" our server. Amazing young lady. Thanks for a great night.
Haven Rooftop delivers an incredible brunch experience in the heart of NYC. The highlight? Their French toast, stuffed with luscious blueberry cream cheese, is a decadent masterpiece. The balance of tangy berries with the creamy filling, nestled inside perfectly caramelized bread, is unforgettable. The rooftop setting, with its panoramic city views and cozy-chic vibe, makes every bite feel indulgent. From the attentive service to the vibrant yet relaxed ambiance, this is brunch done right. Five stars for a meal that’s as stunning as the skyline!
Today I spent some time with my family members in this beautiful restaurant. We had some wine and the charcuterie board and we had Luis as our server. The experience of this trip to New York it’s gonna be unbelievable. Thanks Luis for the great hospitality and recommendation. We’ll be back again.
Any time we're in NYC we make a point to come to Haven. The vibe is so welcoming and the food is fantastic. We loved it so much, we planned an event for 30 and the staff was so accommodating. Can't say enough how wonderful it was!
Great place with amazing atmosphere, tasty food and nice service, Jonathan was taking good care of us, making sure we’re comfortable. All staff were friendly and welcoming. We were there for lunch, tuna tartare and salmon with lentils are so amazing. Highly recommend! And don’t forget to order spicy Bloody Mary;)

Beautiful setting during the day. Very bright space with huge windows. Perfect for brunch or lunch. There is a limited menu for luch so can't speak to the experience for dinner or drinks, but can say the setting is great earlier in the day.
I had an amazing experience at Haven Rooftop! The atmosphere was vibrant, the and the service was top-notch. I especially want to give a big shoutout to Cansu, the bartender, for her incredible cocktails. Each drink was crafted to perfection — balanced, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Cansu’s professionalism and friendly vibe made the evening even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for great drinks and a great time, Haven Rooftop is the place to be. Cheers to Cansu for making it unforgettable!
what an incredible experience!!! haven rooftop provides a city-friendly, innovative approach towards rooftops in new york city!! if you’re not looking for a rooftop too exclusive for drinking.. bars.. or nightclub vibes… this place is amazing as they offer breakfast, brunch, and a late night stop by for a cocktail after a long day. a perfect place to diffuse and enjoy a scenic ambience! kid friendly, doormen, staff, and waiters were super friendly, patient, and so on!!! you will feel immediately welcomed. i definitely recommend this place and is a super underrated new york city gem. also… a bang for your buck with amazing food and drinks options. truly amazing.. (for two people with dessert, meal, and appetizers to share was $70!!!! AMAZING for NYC)
Came for Saturday brunch to celebrate my wedding anniversary. This place is amazing. Being that we checked out another hotel we came in with our luggage. They conveniently have FREE luggage checking so that you can enjoy the lounge without the hassle of carrying your stuff with you. Unfortunately we couldn’t eat outside because they don’t open outside areas until the end of May which was disappointing when it was like 65+ degrees outside the first weekend in May but the inside ambiance is still great too. The bottomless mimosas are $30 per person and our server Louis made sure our cups were never empty. The food was also very delicious. The blueberry French toast was everything. I would also advise to add a side of bacon and eggs with the French toast to add a sweet and savory mix. My wife got the crab egg Benedict. There is also a live DJ during brunch hours which is super fun especially after some of those mimosas start hitting. They may need a small dance floor in there eventually 😂
Erik is the most amazing server ever!! He treated our party of 5 so kindly!! If you want a good waiter, ask for Erik! Alexander waited on us and was wonderful. Steven was a great bartender and made great drinks. COME HERE!!!!
I was served by Alexander and he was amazing! I came up to the bar by myself to unwind after a very full day and he made me feel so comfortable and welcome. Thank you so much Alexander you made my day! I had squid and some truffle fries and they are very generous portions and tasted amazing :) Cocktails were also amazing. I look forward to coming back here soon 😌
Rooftop 💕💕 The views were stunning, the vibe was perfect, and the food next level. The Avocado Crab was the star of the night fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite was a reminder of why I love the New York dining. Service was top-tier, and the ambiance made it a night to remember. Highly recommend for a special night out or just treating yourself!
The food was fresh and had great flavors. I ordered the blueberry French and what they brought to the table was a work of art. From the presentation to the flavor it was exceptional. We had a reservation at 11 am but it was not crowded for a Saturday brunch time. And the solstice drink was delicious. Definitely a must try.
We stopped in on a Thursday after dinner just to grab drinks. It was quiet and no issue getting a table even though we weren’t eating. Eric our server was the best! He had great drink suggestions and was super sweet and nice! Even took our picture 🤩 thank you to the manager for letting us tell you how great Eric was. We came back the next night with more friends and sat in the lounge area. Pretty winter / post Christmas vibes to just relax for drinks or a bite. Thanks for helping it make our trip fun for everyone!
Would recommend trying if you are staying at the Santuary hotel or if you are need of a little oasis while in NY area near Times Square. What made my trip experience great was the service staff. Shout out to Luis he was personable and made a great recommendation. The decor In the space makes this a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy.
A very pleasant and cozy place! The atmosphere is relaxing, and the beautifully decorated rooftop creates a special vibe. The night view is especially impressive — the nearby church is illuminated, and it looks absolutely stunning. A perfect spot to spend the evening in good company!
We came here to celebrate our elopement!! We were a party of 7 and got seated for lunch right away. Johnathan was our host and server and he was incredible!! So fun, so sweet, so polite, and thanked us for sharing our special celebration with Haven! He really loves what he does and it shows. The food was great… the drinks equally great. While we were there a table near us sent over a bottle of champagne which was so thoughtful and to me captured what New Yorkers are!! We had incredible trip and wouldn’t have changed a thing. So glad we celebrated here with the charming atmosphere and great company. Thank you Johnathan and team ☺️
We had the margarita pizza it was ok. The Guacamole and ships were excellent. The wings were good, the soup too. The mocktail was tasty. We love the serves and staff. They were friendly and kind. Specially to my 2 year old. We loved our experience
This was the first dinner of our trip, and it kicked things off on a great note. I ordered their version of an Aperol Spritz, which is one of my favorite drinks. Theirs is my favorite version of the drink, ever! We had the penne vodka, which was excellent. Their hummus and pita appetizer was delightful. Their filet with mashed potatoes was my daughter's favorite meal of the whole trip. The atmosphere was cool. The table was comfortable. They had a DJ, which seemed unnecessary, but not unpleasant. Their hosts made a horrible first impression. They were dismissive as if it was inconvenient that guests showed up and expected to be seated. Once we were seated, the staff was warm and welcoming.
Amazing penne Ala vodka and lobster roll! Really good service and quick to get us served! Had reservations at 9 and was seated by 8:40 when we showed up early! Reasonably priced for the atmosphere and dishes. Ask for Jonathan if you come in they are wonderful!
My friends & I went to Haven Rooftop for lunch before going to a matinee. A beautiful atmosphere and view. The Haven burger was huge and delicious with an enormous amount of French fries! One of my friends had the chicken BLT, prepared with a fried egg, unusual, but she loved it. There is a priced fixed menu for $39 but a lot of choices from ala carte menu. My only surprise was seeing my iced tea was $12.00!! I also am under the impression they charge for refills of coffee but Darina our server did not when questioned about it. The staff there are all very nice & accommodating from the reservation desk to Russell who took us to our table, very much a gentleman,. Darina from Ukraine was our server. She gave us excellent srrvice, did not have to wait too long for our food & fulfilled all our requests. Michael , I believe, the manager was very friendly , wanted to make sure we were happy with our meals & service. The restaurant has angel wings and halo on the wall, very cute and we were taking pictures of each other. Michael offered to take a picture of all of us. Michael, Russell & Darina made our dining experience and trip to NYC very special. I look forward to going back and tell my friends. They will not be disappointed! Thank you to the staff at Haven Rooftop! Hershey Schloss 12/11/2025
This is our 2nd time coming here within year or two and this time was amazing. We wanted to come for there blueberry stuffed French toast 💚💚💚There seats are softer. They have these cushions now on them. The decour changed felt more warm and welcoming. Love the flowers on the glass and everywhere. The staff seemed all friendly and kind. The food was great no complaints 😊. Thank you
Jonathan was an amazing server ! Very attentive and knowledgeable. Food was amazing ! Will most definitely be coming back :)

Cute vibes for a pre-Broadway brunch! I ordered the bottomless mimosas and avocado toast. The toast was a bit too hard for my liking, but the mimosas were good and did their job. The atmosphere is …

The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. I really enjoyed my dining experience, been here twice and will definitely come back.
Lovely atmosphere. Clean and very friendly staff. We were served by Charwen who was so friendly and welcoming it made our visit.

We had such a good time and enjoyed the “happening” atmosphere. Our food was wonderful, as was the service. Thank you so much!
Was a nice visit. view is good, service good, and food was good. I would go back. Easy to walk to and everyone was very nice.
Great brunch Menu, our waiter Daniel was great. Loved the location. Food was excellent, try the Steak and eggs & Blueberry French Toast❤️
Fabulous find lovely staff nice atmosphere and great food if we are ever in New York again would happily call in for a pleasant couple of hours
Nice place very close to Time Square. Food was amazing and drinks were great too! We went to see a show on the Broadway and went to Haven Rooftop for dinner after.
Came here for bottomless brunch to celebrate a birthday. I couldn't fault it, food and staff were lovely. Views aren't great as it's surrounded by higher buildings however the rooftop is very well …
Amazing food and bottomless Mimosas! Great views of the city too! We loved our visit! Strongly recommend going there for a couple's brunch.
Cozy atmosphere, attentive staff, decent view, tasty food, delicious drinks a bit warm for summer eating; could use a cool mist or more fans to make it worth the ticket. We enjoyed the appetizers. Meals were ok. Servers constantly bring ester but in upper 80 needed larger cups or more ice
A nice place with good service. The rooftop is not on the tallest of buildings so the view was limited to the surrounding buildings. I'm sure it's a nice place to visit during the summer as the plexiglass panels had been installed for the change of seasons.
This is a lovely venue and the server we had, his name is Luis, was wonderful! The food was good, I just wish there had been a bit more variety. The two reasons I only gave this a 4 star is the lack of variety and the experience I observed when we 1st sat down. The manager Brian was having a conversation on the floor with an employee regarding taking a break. The employee did not thing it was a good time to break and Brian said to the employee, " I don't want to hear it, go now" I thought it was rude and inappropriate to speak to an employee like that in front of people. Other than that, the bottomless mimosas flowed! I would recommend giving this place a try, but not if you are picky as the menu is limited.
Went to this place on a Friday night and if my friends didn't have reservations I wouldn't have gotten in. Reservations are Highly recommended especially if you're going around dinner time or in between Broadway show times because it gets very packed here being in Times Square. I'm giving 4 stars because the night I went the music was on point and the Playlist was a lot of C Breezy so yea they got a star for that because the vines were perfect! The location 5 stars if you don't mind a rooftop in the middle of time Square. The ambiance gets a 5 too its a really cute rooftop! 5 For diversity of staff which I can appreciate. They got a 5 for the music that night I went 3.7 for the food it's not anything to wrote home about and also the price for 1 cocktail $18s beers $9 and top shelf shots $38 so you do the math. Not sure if I'll be back but I had fun when I did go with friends in town. I'm not good doing lines even with reservations but do you ....
I had the Buffalo wings which was amazing as well as the lobster roll w/fries as my entree. The fries tasted great and were somewhat seasoned. The lobster was good as well, I wish the brunch menu had a little more variety. I enjoyed my drink. The view from the rooftop is really nice and the bathroom is nice.
It was this past rainy Friday. Traffic was not easy from our destinations. We were late for the reservation and thought we were been accommodated when they agreed for us to come up. The hostess was not not welcoming and seemed upset. That was the first sign and then we were seated at the back with no views. My company came back to this spot for the view and food since it’s been a while, pre COVID, and wanted me to enjoy the spot alongside the food and music. The seats were quite uncomfortable but we stayed since it was a rainy night and didn’t make other plans. Mind you, it was not fully occupied and for the duration of our stay, it remained so. We had appetizers and entrees, so you know we stayed a while and they could have given us a better view and comfortable seats. Zoe, our waitress was warm and full of energy, her attitude made the night better. We were not impressed with the non alcoholic beverages. Mine had alcohol even though I ordered a non alcoholic beverage. It was changed but I couldn’t drink what was brought back because it did not taste good. The food was delicious except for the tuna tartare appetizer. My company was great as we made the best of what was offered at this spot. I gave them 4 stars for Zoe and the food we enjoyed.
The restaurant is beautiful with gorgeous decorations. I love the vibe of being on the rooftop and the staff in the lobby were very helpful in getting us up and down the 15 floors. The food was good, although a bit average for the prices. The drink I got was delicious, though! I got the Mojito de Poire with pear puree. The place was packed so our server was running around, but he made sure we had what we needed. The one thing I’ll say is we noticed that there were no female servers. All the servers were male and the hosts were female. I hope this was just a coincidence and not a gender bias they intentionally uphold.
The breakfast foods looked better than the lunch foods. We had the lunch items, and they were just OK. They weren’t great, but they weren’t terrible. I had a lobster roll, and I would not get it again. The drinks were excellent, the service was excellent, and the view was awesome!
Came in for lunch on Christmas day with the family and we actually had a good experience. we had a nice seating area where it didnt feel so crowded. Rooftop was nicely decorated for the holidays - not over the top but still giving that vibe. We prepaid to reserve for 10 people and got a bunch of apps such as their hummus and pita (which was delicious), nicely seasoned truffle fries, good buffalo chicken wings, crab and avocado palette, and margherita pizza. Everything was enjoyable. for entrees there was no kids menu but we managed with the fries and penne. the group mostly got the same thing.Truffle spaghetti was good and had no overpowering truffle taste. Penne was nicely cooked as well and had good sauce. Staff was also attentive and made sure food came out timely. overall had a good experience and definitely enjoyed ourselves with the food and ambiance.
Just arrived in NYC staying at The Sanctuary Hotel. After a hectic day travelling we decided to venture up to the Haven rooftop restaurant. 1st impressions, very nice dining area with views to street level, albeit it was dark outside. Shown you a table for 2 , menus presented, drinks order taken. Decided on Penne ala vodka with chicken and slider combo with a side of parmesan/ truffle oil fries. Food arrived after a short wait which was fine. Food tasted and was nicely presented. Servers were all very polite and attentive. Will definitely eat here again during our stay. Only disappointment was the over excited and extremely loud male sat at the adjacent table. Clearly he felt he was the only person in the restaurant and felt the need to film everything he was saying and eating across his social media platforms. His flames soon went out when he smashed his glass off the table. Staff cleaned up his misdemeanor in a professional manner. Shame he hung around till we were leaving. Clearly has concept or understanding of his surroundings.
This is a great little secret place! The building isn’t clearly marked & it’s only by looking at the top of the building would anyone realize that it is located in the Sanctuary Hotel. Once inside, again…we find ourselves asking for help in finding how to get there. But the dining space was comfortable & staff are friendly and attentive. A live DJ mixed upbeat music & the retractable awnings were drawn back after the sun went down. The food was delicious, but a bit pricey. I was especially surprised that the slice of chocolate cake was $25! We were celebrating a birthday so I didn’t even look at the dessert menu, I just asked for cake. It was good, but not that good.
The vibe was amazing the only thing I had ordered calamari and it was too hard not able to chew .. also the lobster roll I believe that the seafood wasn’t wash properly because it still had that seafood smell of the fish market which it was supposed to be clean with lemon y vinegar it had a. Strong smell..I highly recommend that before serving. To cleanse it well.. the wings was very delicious thou that’s my review but to over priced cook the food to perfection. Thank u .. the drinks was good 149.09 too pricy for serving lobster roll on bread
Went for brunch. Everything was tasty and fresh but with just having an omelet I don't think I gave them much opportunity to stand out. Service was friendly and good. Setting was really nice. The only thing missing was fresh air. The rooftop has a nice view but is largely sealed.
Ambience : great ambience. Seating is on roof top and we had to wait at lower level . Food : food was great. We ordered heavenly chicken, chicken wings and zelle platter . Food was tasty and hot. Every thing was as per our request. Waiter: She was nice. Took our order well and was attentive. Overall it's a nice place.only drawback was its rooftop and claims a good view which wasn't there. Overall recommended.
Having a rooftop location is always a great idea! Its a way to see the city from a different perspective and never fails to impress. Drinks are delicious and the hummus and pita is a wonderful afternoon snack. The music was the perfect volume so it can be enjoyed but so can a conversation. Definitely take your picture with the angle wings!
Came here after a broadway show. Loved this rooftop. Great vibes, Great views, decor, ambience and atmosphere. Great food & drinks quality. Delicious meal which I highly recommend. This rooftop is within the sanctuary hotel. Got a little lost getting up here (went into wrong elevator(s) , but once went up everything was nice and smooth. 90 min limit...but Great service. Staff were attentive & courteous.
Fun rooftop with nice cocktail and food options. We stopped in unplanned and were pleasantly surprised. Overall nothing outstanding but nothing bad either. If you are in the area definitely worth a trip but I wouldn’t go out of my way. When you look at the pictures on their site there is outdoor seating. I didn’t see that. We were in a glassed in and roofed area. The watermelon mule was interesting. I don’t usually get cocktails like this so hard for me to say more. The cloudtini was very lychee forward and a little sweet. The charcuterie board was simple but very good.
Came here to meet up with my friends and the ambiance was just everything. Quite perfect for brunch, really. Food was okay, it wasn’t the greatest but I wouldn’t say it was the worst either. It honestly tasted as it should taste. Ordered some wings, burger, nachos, truffle fries and sangria. I would say my favorite would be the burger. The best part of this place is the service you get from the staff though. Very kind, nice and entertaining. I truly had a blast with my friends because of their service.
I took my daughter Sunday for a birthday brunch and the food was delicious, I had a lobster 🦞 roll and she had French toast ( which was the BIGGEST FRENCH TOAST I'VE EVER SEEN). brunch comes with chocolate cake and a birthday song. atmosphere and service was excellent, I highly recommend it.
Overall, a good brunch experience with a very festive, Christmas-style atmosphere. The wait time was reasonable, the service was attentive and appropriate, and the setting added to the experience. The standout dish was the breakfast pizza. Overall, it’s worth your time for brunch in NYC!
I stopped by over the weekend since it was really a nice rooftop bar kind of day. I made a reservation, but it looks like they accept walk ins as well for dining. The restaurant itself is quite lovely and the views are stunning. The staff here is very welcoming and Erik, my server was very friendly and helpful. The brunch menu is very limited, but they had some good items. I opted for the Shrimp Cocktail and Sliders and everything was good. I just wished that the sliders would have come with a little side order of fries. The food is a bit pricey here, but that is to be expected in this area. Overall, whether you are staying in the hotel or just passing by like I did, this is a nice spot to grab a quick meal or sit at the bar for a drink or two.
I'm so happy we made a reservation for brunch. It looked so cute from the outside (we could see the restaurant from our hotel) and it was. It's of course on a rooftop, with pops of color from the flowers sprinkled throughout for decoration. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros based off the our server's recommendation and I'm glad I did. It had a nice healthy portion of avocado and the sauce was full of flavor. My friend had the bacon, egg, cheese sandwich which she liked but thought was kind of plain. But what stood out the most was the service. Our waitress Pandora was amazing from start to finish. As were all the other helping staff. The bottomless mimosas for brunch were definitely worth the price.
We had a reservation at 5:30pm on Saturday. Their systems were down but they still prioritized us and sat us in a timely manner because we had a 7pm show to catch. We were sat at a hightop table which was okay and the drinks took a bit to arrive considering we were so close to the bar however the Service wasn’t bad. We both ordered the Chilean Sea-bass with olives, cherry tomatoes, and capers for $42/each. Sadly it came just like that without anything to accompany it like potatoes or some kind of starch. Still, it was good. Id probably return for a brunch to take advantage of the daytime views.

Went there for brunch--had the avocado toast and it was incredibly delicious! The service was a bit slow and we waited too long for our bottomless mimosas, but the view totally made up for it.

Lovely rooftop location which was clearly very popular with a constant stream of new guests coming up in the elevator. We ordered a couple of sharing platters and drinks which were nice but nothing…
12/11/2025. Lunch 6 adults. Staff is excellent and very professional. Decor and ambiance is wonderful. View, ehhh. Lower than most buildings around so not much to look at for a rooftop venue. Food:: drinks excellent. The six of us shared 3 Cesar salads. Lots of romaine, 3 tomatoes, a little shaved parmesan some dressing. That's it, a little disappointing. Then we shared 2 flatbread pizzas. Also very disappointing. Just a little cheese, minimal sauce, and baked a little under done. We also shared chips with guacamole. This was even worse. Good size platter with sparsely filled tortilla chips. There was enough guacamole for maybe 6 to 8 chips. We had a good time but will not return.
Great place! Brought my mom for her birthday. Made a reservation, mentioned it was a birthday event. When we got there, we told hostess we here for birthday lunch. As you expect in the end the restaurant supposed to bring a complimentary cake with a candle, or anything to say thank you for choosing our place, but nothing like that happened. What a disappointment I had.
Awesome rooftop in midtown. We went to celebrate my friends birthday and it was perfect weekend. Rooftop was chill and not too crowded since it was Thursday night. It's a big place with good tables. They do have cocktails which were okish - not too strong/ tasty. We ordered truffle fries which were good. It's little on the pricier side but it's in city so it's common .
Ambiance/Vibe: The rooftop was nice but we didn't have much of a view from our seats, other areas had a much clearer view of the city. The music selection was nice, it was a nice atmosphere for a Saturday night. Service: Our server Axel was FUN AS HELL! (the fact that I remembered his name speaks to his service)!! He was sharp, made great suggestions, and was worth every bit of his tip! Even the men downstairs who verified the reservations, were such nice people and very helpful when we wanted to find places to go afterward. Everyone was sweet and made our night perfect. Food/Drinks: The food was appealing, and the description of the food was a lot better than the taste. The food wasn't bad but it was very much so - eye candy! The drinks were okay, as well - its the reason for 3 stars. Even the shots (terrible) but you know what, the service made up for everything! We made reservations for Haven Rooftop after seeing great reviews and with it being close to our hotel. It was in a prime area, walking distance to Times Square, Rockefeller, and 5th Ave. Despite having a reservation, we waited about 15-20 minutes for our table. Atmosphere was super cool! It had good views of surrounding areas, and gets bonus points for being seasonally decorated. Service was kind, but not very tentative. We felt bothersome for asking for basic services (water refills, checking up on food we hadn’t received yet; despite receiving everything else). Food was good, just a little bleh, and quite overpriced if you ask me. Menu could be perceived as small, so definitely look into it before reserving a table, if you have dietary restrictions.
Haven Rooftop is a very mediocre rooftop bar and restaurant in midtown. They have good seating and a lively atmosphere, but other than that there was nothing special to this place. Me and my friend waited 45 minutes to be seated and the view was honestly disappointing. The music was ok and the menu did not have that many enticing options. Drinks were fairly priced, though they didn't have the best selection of cocktails in my opinion. Staff was friendly and attentive. I would come here if everything else was closed or if there was nothing else to do.
My family and I had brunch at this Haven Rooftop on Sunday before going to a show. We waited over 10 mins before anyone even came to the table and when the waitress did, she had an immediate attitude. My husband ordered a cappuccino (she never brought sugar). My daughter ordered an orange juice, she never brought that either. We had to remind her 15 mins later that the juice was never provided. I will say that the food was absolutely delicious. The steak and eggs were divine, blueberry french toast was heavenly, and the brunch pizza was also good. Unfortunately, because of the service, i’ll never go back. The view was not that good from where they sat us.
This rooftop bar is located on top of a small boutique hotel. When you arrive, you check in at the front desk with a host who confirms your restaurant reservation and then asks you to wait in the back lounge. The lounge itself is cozy and nicely designed, and you do have the option to purchase a drink while you wait. We ended up waiting about 15 minutes past our reservation time before our table was ready. The restaurant is small but doesn’t feel cramped. We were seated along the edge, which offered a view of the surrounding area. Unfortunately, the view wasn’t very impressive—while it is technically a rooftop, you’re mostly looking at the neighboring office building and the hotel next door. We ordered a drink and it was not something that could be digested. The taste was really bad. So we returned it. Our waiter was kind and attentive, and the food was genuinely delicious. That said, the pricing felt very high, even for the area. While I don’t have any major complaints about the service or food, the overall experience just didn’t click for me. There was something about the atmosphere that felt off, and I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. I found myself wanting to leave as soon as possible, as I didn’t feel particularly comfortable or at ease. It may appeal to others, but personally, it wasn’t the right fit for me.
Reservations highly recommended. Our group of 7 lucked out and got a table on their top floor. Service was great and the room was amazing. Food wasn't that great. Splurged and got the Filet requested Medium and and it was over cooked and had fat on it. Another person at our table ordered Rare and her stake was also over cooked and had fat on it. Almost zero flavor. Although servers were extremely nice they never asked if our stakes were cooked properly. Even if they had come back to check we didnt have the luxury of time to have them remade. Others in our group got fish and absolutely loved it.

Disappointed with our visit. The pizza wasn't good, and the nachos were a very small portion, definitely not a plate to share. Prices were too high for the atmosphere.

BLUF: Not everyone gets a view, food average to below avg for pricing. Drinks ok. Server very friendly but absent so much we suspect they were under staffed. We can get this food anywhere but came for the view. Stopped in on our Thanksgiving city trip. Made a reservation to insure a spot. We were quickly sat once we checked in. Unfortunately Ihalf of the restaurant has a back area with limited views of anything. We inquired about a view seat and were blatantly told “No”. We started with apps and drinks. Hummus: good portion and good taste Crab/avacado: quality ingredients, onion overload in the avacado which ruined it for me. Wife still liked it. Drinks: Wife got Sangria which she liked I tried the Andromeda first: essentially tasteless except for bourbon. Was served with bagged ice. A drink of this offering/price should be mixed with a single large cube. Got the Woodford old fashioned second which I enjoyed more. Same ice though…. You really have to fix this, large cube makers are a few dollars on Amazon. Wife got a glass of wine second which she enjoyed. My party of three shared two entrees. Seabass: very nice presentation and flavor, no complaints Filet: I suspect a med to low cut but didn’t see before cooking. Nice presentation, unfortunately there were many fat pockets and much connective tissue that had to be cut around or spit out while chewing. Not typical of filet.
After waiting for 45 minutes the waitress came and said that she forgot to place our order. Horrible service the moment we walked in. If I could rate 0 I'd do that instead.

What a disappointment. Photos do not look like their rooftop, felt more like a cheesy college party with the decor, and it’s only on the 10th floor lol so def go to another rooftop bar if you’re seeking height. The food was bland, the service was terrible given that our server provided a wrong cheque to our table and told us “it’s our responsibility to look at the line items” after I already paid on my credit card. She provided the “correct bill” and was not able to provide me with proof of receipt of reversed transaction so we had to ask for the manager’s business card and her name. I don’t typically leave bad reviews as I know the hospitality industry is tough but she only had 3 other tables and it was not busy. She spent more time chatting than being present at work.
I planned a semi private event here for my birthday and I cannot tell you how much I regret it — coming from someone who’s only left positive reviews for businesses, it takes a lot to leave a review like this. I was working with Janine Asiff the Events and Sales Manger and had a terrible experience. She was curt and passive aggressive with her responses while making it seem like she was doing the most/ being super accommodating — making it seem as thought we should be grateful for even letting them host our event even thought we were spending over $100 per person. Some of the things we discussed were not even provided — no linens on tables, pictures of the event space/ seating, welcome beverages on arrival. Additionally the event space for their semi private events was pretty awkward. Per pictures I saw on instagram/google reviews (as any request for clarification on event set up was ignored) I assumed they layout would be casual/lounge style, dim lighting and lively with space sectioned off for us however it was a seated dinner directly facing the party which made things awkward. Was told there would be top 40s playing but this was absolutely not a vibey rooftop. The bathroom was also in our area which meant everyone from the restaurant was walking in to our space or standing around to use the restroom. The only redeeming aspect of Haven was the staff working there and their cocktails. Food was really not even worth ordering. And if I had known how difficult it would be to work with the Event manager before signing the contract I would have selected a different venue in a heartbeat.
Unfortunately, our experience at Haven Rooftop was extremely disappointing due to the behavior of staff members Stephanie and Ken. Stephanie was immediately rude and dismissive. Instead of politely explaining that reservations were required or directing us to the main check-in desk, she told us the bar was “full,” despite the fact that there was not a single person seated at the bar. Her tone was unwelcoming and unnecessary. She then told us to speak with Ken. When I calmly explained to Ken that Stephanie had been rude, his response was dismissive. While I understood and respected that we did not have a reservation, I made it clear that rudeness was not acceptable. Ken stated that he had instructed Stephanie to send everyone to him and openly acknowledged that “yes, I know she’s rude,” yet could not explain why that behavior was acceptable. When I asked who was in charge and requested to speak with the manager, Ken raised his voice and repeatedly said, “I’m here, so I’m in charge,” refusing to provide a manager’s name. He then told us to leave and accused us of trespassing, which was completely inappropriate given that we were simply asking for basic accountability and professionalism. At that point, Richard stepped in and attempted to de-escalate the situation. He was respectful and professional and acknowledged that Ken’s behavior was inappropriate. He also informed us that the manager on duty was Michael, who was on the rooftop. Unfortunately, by then the situation had already been mishandled. What made this even worse was Ken speaking negatively about me and my family to other patrons afterward, which is entirely unacceptable. I own my own business and understand customer service standards well. It is disappointing that individuals like Stephanie and Ken are placed in guest-facing roles, as they do not represent a respectful or well-run establishment. Staff members like Richard are the ones who should be leading. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the behavior displayed during this visit.
The food was horrible. Ordered the calamari it was way over cooked and it smelled like it was turning. Order a filet medium and it came out well done. At which point I was frustrated and left the place without eating. The server was very apologetic and in general there was nothing wrong with the service. Chose this place for my birthday, and it totally ruined my birthday. Never again.
Worst service I have experienced at any restaurant. 3 different servers because no one wanted to take the order. TOOK ALMOST 40 minutes to get any food ordered. Told 2 people we still haven’t ordered. Food was good but not worth waiting so long for. Over $100 wasted on a terrible experience. No remorse what so ever. Do not recommend.
Reservations don’t matter to them, we still had to wait 35minutes for our table while we got attitude from the 3 hosts/hostesses. The wait staff upstairs were in a rush. Our waiter didn’t even remember our order, forgot 2 items, didn’t bring us waters when we asked twice. Barely came back to the table to take more drink orders for the kids. Your’re paying for a view but can barely see anything. Definitely NOT worth the money let alone the time. Eat at McDonald’s, it’s a much better & friendlier experience. Do not go here, you’ll regret it. The food was an absolute disappointment. Wings were burnt & inedible, fries had an obnoxious fake truffle smell/taste, charcuterie board looked like it ran through a grinder before it got to us, salad barely had any dressing & had giant uncut romaine leaves, flatbread pizza was hard as a rock. There is simply nothing positive to say about this restaurant at all. Avoid at all costs. Expensive, obnoxious staff, horrible food. Do not go there
