Great entry level omakase experience. The place wasn't busy when we went. I reckon you usually don't have to fight to get a spot there. Not super filling if you are a male but you're fine if you grab a boba and snack after. Great service though! Chefs and staff were very friendly.
The sushi was very high quality! A very well priced 17 course omakase at $125. The most notable pieces were the sweet shrimp with lemon zest and the salmon with torched salted tomato. The latter was a perfect fusion of flavor and texture that is sure to impress even the most avid omakase customers. The service was also great. They were very patient with us. They mentioned they had reservations at 7 and needed the space by then, but welcomed us as walk ins at 5:45 and did not make us feel rushed when we all arrived started an omakase around 6 pm.
Excellent omakase spot! Great value for what you’re getting. We got the 17 course omakase with a bottle of sake and everything was great. Chef was friendly and even asked for mine and my wife’s tolerance for wasabi (in case we wanted less). Loved our experience.
Wowowow! Jeffrey was absolutely amazing. The service was incredible and the food was to die for 🥹♥️ they do not play when it comes to high quality and amazing dishes here. Will be back!
Had an absolutely lovely omakase experience here. Every bite was an incredible dive in Japanese fine dining. The sushi was fresh and innovative. It ranged from melt in your mouth goodness to refreshing and airy. The sake was top knotch and the service excellent. Really great intimate time. Would come again. Highly recommend!
Really great omasake experience. Super fresh sushi pieces. chef Jeffrey is really knowledge to every pieces and welcome you with warm hospitality. the waiters are really polite and attention to detail. always notice the our needs befe we even have to ask. would recommend!!! and will be back in the future.
Sushi Lin is an excellent Omakase! Unique and high quality. Chef Jerry provided great service.
This was the best omakase experience I’ve had. We opted for the 12-course menu, and every dish was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We even ordered a few extra favorites: - Tuna with truffle - Fatty toro tuna + uni + caviar + gold flakes (my favorite) - Scallop We paired it with cloudy nigori sake. The cozy setting made it feel intimate and exclusive. Service was fantastic—the chef was warm, welcoming, and happy to chat. Highly recommend this spot for top-quality omakase at a great value. Can’t wait to return!
From the moment I sat down at the sushi bar, I knew that this was going to be a unique dining experience. The chef greeted me warmly and asked if I had any dietary restrictions or preferences. We had the 17-course option. Lin was our chef of the day. Each course was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The fish and other ingredients are very fresh. Lin explained all the dishes as he served it, providing insight into the ingredients, flavor and technique used in its preparation. One of my favorite course was the salmon sushi topped with tomato. The melt in your mouth and the flavor of it incorporate very well with the salmon. The service throughout the courses are outstanding! Overall, it’s one of the best dining experience I have ever had.
Overall very good experience. You taste the freshness in every piece, and there is great creativity in a couple of the pieces as well. The king salmon with tomato on top was an interesting idea and very delicious. The service is friendly, and is definitely on the faster end as they do more seatings, but for the number of nigiris you get with the price, there is great value. The quality of food here does not lose to some of the Michelin-started sushi places in the city. Will be back.
This was an amazing sushi experience. Is it hard to find great affordable omokase in the city. The atmosphere of the restaurant made you feel so relax. The sushi chef Lin was nice and explained to us the different kinds of fish. Came with my friend and we were both pleasantly enjoyed all the food. A must for any sushi lover who are looking for great sushi experience and great quality fish. We will try the 17 course omakese next time:)
Absolutely amazing experience at Sushi Lin. The sushi were outstanding, the atmosphere warm and cozy, and the personal touch from the chef was so unexpected and special. A favorite in the city and I’ll definitely be back!
Came here to celebrate my birthday and it was such a nice experience. We had the 17 course omakase and the sushi fish was super fresh and well paired with interesting flavors. Our favorite was the one with tomato (that looked like bacon)! It was also super nice to talk to the chefs — they were great and recommended some other omakase spots around the globe. Thank you Jerry and Jeffrey!
I agree with the great reviews here. I think that there are a lot of good sushi restaurants that have great fish and excellent materials. This one stood out because of the interesting combination of flavors that they used on each individual piece. We got the 12 piece Omakase. Some of our favorites were the Hamachi with Shishido on top, the the fatty tuna, they had a piece of sushi with a fried tomato on top that was interesting, and the scallop had zest on top which added a complexity that I enjoyed.
Such a great experience! This was genuinely some of the best sushi I have ever eaten. The presentation was absolutely beautiful. Fresh fish, beautiful combination of flavors and very nice service. I would definitely recommend this spot to others!!
Arrived on a Thursday evening for a birthday dinner. The service from the moment you enter to the second you leave was well thought out. The pieces that stood out to me the most were the uni, the toast with the caviar and tuna and the sweet shrimp. The chefs create a unique perspective of traditional omakase that adds their own twist and flavor to each bite sized sushi they put in front of you. It’s like sitting in the front row of NYFW, it keeps you on your toes! The pieces were on the smaller side, more rice or fish would both be appreciated. The service was very quick, but the chefs were able to execute efficiently.
I had nothing short of a phenomenal experience at Sushi Lin Soho. The mouthwatering ensemble of inspired dishes would leave you wondering which piece “exactly” is your favorite. High-quality sashimi and sea urchin, great vibe and affordable. Highly recommend!
Il Corallo Trattoria is an authentic and cozy Italian restaurant with a small but carefully curated menu. The Fettuccine Molisane is one of the enduring classics from the menu. Always delicious and the sun dried tomato adds such a rich depth to the cream sauce. The pizzas are wood-fired and are 12in across, very good with good amounts of cheese. The Taglierini Sorrento is also another one of my favorites, ample servings of seafood and the squid ink pasta has a nice seafood flavor to it. Only complaint is that the restaraunt can get pretty packed and it can get a bit stuffy or crowded with people being very close to you.
II Corallo Trattoria is a hidden gem. We stopped here randomly on a day we were walking through Manhattan. From the lunch special, to the apps, to the service (ur server Fidel was a standout). The spot is a bit tight l, but the food, service and atmosphere were exemplary. Prices were also very affordable.
We came back after a while, and this place did not disappoint. The pasta was amazing — perfectly chewy and flavorful. The customer service was great too. We were first seated at a four-person table, but a lady later asked us to move to a two-person table that was closer to the outside. It actually worked out even better since it was such a nice day. She apologized and kindly offered us a glass of wine and dessert on the house, which we really appreciated. She definitely didn’t have to do that — even just covering the dessert would’ve been generous. Her hospitality really stood out. Overall, a great restaurant.
Came here for dinner with a party of 4. We had a reservation, but had to wait a few minutes to be seated. Honestly the host was super accommodating and communicative, so it wasn't a big deal. The restaurant was very busy. Our service was prompt, the food was fantastic and reasonably priced. This place is in fact one of the better priced restaurants in the neighborhood. The decor artwork by multiple artists, showing series of works on the walls. The food came in a timely manner and portion size was just right. I really have to highlight the Lemon Sorbet that we ordered. It was beautifully served in frozen lemon skin. Absolutely stunning presentation.
I tried their signature squid ink pasta and the carbonara—both were just okay, nothing too special. But the service here is excellent, and the desserts are amazing. The tiramisu in particular was outstanding, one of the best I’ve had. The absolute highlight though was the Adriatico seafood stew, it was honestly incredible. I’ve never had seafood cooked so perfectly and flavorful. That dish alone is worth coming back for, and I’ll definitely be ordering it again next time!
The seafood here is the highlight— especially the Polpo grilled octopus appetizer, which was beautifully charred, tender, and full of flavor. It stood out as the most memorable dish. Portions overall are generous, making it a solid value. On the downside, the space felt overly packed, our corner table was uncomfortably tight, and it was quite loud. Service was average. I’d come back for the food, but the atmosphere left something to be desired.
MUST TRY!!!We visited Il Corallo Trattoria today and were completely blown away — not just by the food, but by the thoughtful service. We ordered the black taglierini seafood pasta and the burrata with heirloom tomatoes and pesto. First of all, every single server was kind, attentive, and genuinely knowledgeable. They asked if we eat pork because the original recipe included it — something hardly anyone ever checks — and we don’t, so we truly appreciated that they adjusted the dish for us. They also made sure to ask about our spice tolerance since the pasta had heat. It’s the little things that matter. As for the food… I’ve been to Rome, and I still think this seafood pasta was better than what I had in Italy — and that’s not an exaggeration. The heirloom tomatoes were incredibly fresh, nothing like the bland store ones. And they offered as much fresh parmesan as we wanted, no upcharge, no fuss. Can’t recommend this place enough. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. UPDATE: second visit in the same month!!! Its the only place that I’ve satisfied for the second time with the quality, portions, taste. They have the kindest stuffs
When I was in my 20s in New York, I visited this restaurant without hesitation when my friend came or had a meeting. It's been about 12 years since I last visited this restaurant, but the taste and atmosphere remain the same. It's been a long time, but I had a familiar face, so I asked if he was there, and he was there, too. I think he was the CEO. 😊 I think there's a reason why it lasts long. I was happy to have a place to remember in a faraway country. My English was not good, so I translated it haha. 여기 정말 오래된 곳이에요! 그럼 인정 아닙니까?! 맛있고 분위기있고 추천합니다 👍🏻👍🏻
Amazing food and amazing service. It is very cute inside and they have a nice upstairs area that would be great for a party.

We found this restaurant by pure accident more than 20 years ago. Now we go every time we visit NYC. The service is always great and the dishes are wonderful.
Enjoying Il Corallo for over 20 years. The food is excellent, generous portions at a remarkably good price. It never disappoints.

Authentic and delicious! We visited from Houston in July, 2025, and the dishes that we had were very good. This is coming from a person who normally is not a fan of Italian food (e.g., pizza and pasta) and someone who doesn't even like most Italian restaurants outside of NYC. Moreover, this place is definitely better than the typical Little Italy tourist traps in NYC. The service was warm and friendly. Just a heads up for summer visitors: it gets very hot and humid inside, and the restroom is quite small. We were very uncomfortable inside, and that's the only reason for the four stars. Still, the flavors and textures are 10/10. P.S. Although my son loves Italian food, he doesn't like zucchini, and he wouldn't eat mushroom or eggplant. Surprisingly, this time he ate a few slices of my pizza and said it was quite good.
I had stumbled upon this place as I was walking and decided to go in as a solo date. Off the bat the aesthetic of the place is so cute and homey. I had ordered the Whipped Ricotta that had honey & Calabrian chili oil. That was so good especially with the bread. The honey really was a good touch. I then ordered as an appetizer the Polpo. That one was okay, it needed a little bit more salt and the olives were a little too overpowering. The Octopus itself was really good. As for the Main, the Spaghetti Carbonara was 10/10. So delicious and creamy. I would 100% come back to get it again. Lastly for desert was the Sorbetti Ripieno, all I can say is yum yum yuuuum!! The presentation is so beautiful and the taste was so wonderful and refreshing 10/10. Overall I would come back again with a group of friends as well.
You will never pay attention to this place when you walked past it until you stepped inside. Immediately you were transported back to a trattoria in Italy, compact and lively with delicious dishes awaits you. We got a pizza to share and each got a plate of pasta for ourself. Love my spaghetti vongole, the clams were big and juicy but i wished my spaghetti (cooked to al dente) can soak up more of the sauce. My friend who love lemony pasta raved about his seafood lemon spaghetti. End of the night we just have no room for dessert. Thank you to the server who took care of our table, warm and friendly.

The service could be more attentive as we had to consistently signal to get servers' attentions for ordering, water, etc. However the food is great. I especially loved the texture of the pizza.

An okay-omakase experience for the price. Most of the pieces’ flavors are overshadowed by the sauce and I don’t really taste the fish themselves. The tomato, scallion and garlic in several pieces added interesting notes. They charge a processing fee for credit card transactions, so be prepared.
The set was just mediocre. I have had much better omakase in the city at the same price point. The torched tomato course was the most special of them all. Decent experience but I was not overwhelmed by it. I likely will not return again.
Squid ink pasta was great as the pasta itself was great and the seafood was also good. However the beef risotto was not something I could eat.. don’t know why but the taste was so pale and the rice didn’t seemed to have any flavor… The beef itself may have been the problem with it not being good quality… again don’t know why but isn’t good… Hence finished all of the pasta but not the risotto… Will recommend the pasta, But beware of the risotto.
Came here on a whim after walking around the area. Ordered the Mussels, Spaghetti Carbonara and Pork Milanese. Mussels had good taste- loved the spice and the bread that came with them. However the carbonara for me was lacking. The presentation was beautiful, but the sauce was too thin for my liking. The Pork Milanese was also okay. In terms of service, our server was great- very friendly and always checking in. Overall, we ate everything, and didn’t complain nor send back the meals, but will not be returning.
I really wanted to like this place, especially after seeing all the glowing reviews—but unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to the hype. The food looked beautiful when it arrived, and I was excited to dig in, but the first bite was disappointing. The seafood was actually cooked quite well, but the pasta was a letdown: bland, mushy, and just not enjoyable. For the price, I expected something a lot better. The atmosphere was also a bit uncomfortable, with tables so close together it felt like we were dining with the neighboring party. That said, the staff was lovely—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I wish the food had matched their energy. Maybe it was just an off night, but I left feeling underwhelmed.

food: we got the 12 course omakase. our favorite was their signature piece (salmon tomato), so we ordered extra; but a different chef made it, and it wasn't as good (it was falling apart and there was a little bit of rice). this was our 2nd time at an omakase, so we're not too experienced. idt omakases are for us though... it's just not filling enough, and we're not as appreciative of sushi as we should be. service: staff was attentive, always refilling our water. they were able to accommodate us when we arrived earlier than our reservation since there was space. they also gave us a free slice of cheesecake for my early bday celebration (it was a bit frozen though)
