Jimbo's Hamburger Place

My first experience at this classic NY style burger joint. My cheeseburger deluxe was juicy, delicious and came with perfectly cooked fries. The service was prompt and friendly. Looking forward to returning!

These guys on 1st ave are very accommodating...the Food...lip smacking!!! Price!!!! well for what you get, I suppose it's worth it!!! I've been to this particular location three times and each time it was friendly and inviting.

I love this little place so much. My go-to is the grilled chicken club but their burger deluxe is hard to beat! I've also had some breakfast items and it always hits the spot. A great neighborhood staple that i'm so happy to have! The staff is always friendly and do a great job.

Cheeseburger was really good. Funny, it was too big for me. Next time I'll ask them to smush it so it's not so big. Haven't been in for breakfast in some time but I always loved their scrambled eggs and crispy bacon. Great neighborhood spot.

Small but cozy diner. Very clean. Love the esthetic. The owner was very kind and conversational. The food was simple yet very good. Reminded me of a small town diner inside to visit back in my home town. Would highly recommend.

Jimbo’s has great burgers and breakfasts. I love their BLT. The chef and owner are friendly and the chef is happy to customize your order. It’s a refreshing change from overpriced fancy burger places. You won’t be disappointed.

I stopped by Jimbo’s recently to order two burgers for take out. One turkey burger and one cheese burger. Both with lettuce and tomatoes. Took them home for my wife and I to eat. Great service and delicious burgers. Will definitely will go again. If you eat in, please note only a few counter seats and a few tables.

The burger is nice and juicy. They have the potential to make this a really great burger - just needs some mayo, onion jam and a well buttered and toasted brioche bun and it will be amazing.

So far only location i have been to that dont sell grits. Give order to exactly what we wanted and order man at shop, had an attitude and very rude.

The two young ladies are friendly but have conversations where they shouldn’t in front of customers (The young lady at the cashier’s was telling the cooker less talking more cooking customer is waiting jokingly). I ordered the Swiss burger deluxe and sub for onion rings. (Onion rings and fries are frozen and not fresh, from a company) they put the lettuce, onions and tomatoes on the side with the onion rings. The onion rings are 1.80 more…. Again frozen. The burger is simple with no seasoning and or taste. Plain meat patty. And yet they still charging more than McDonald’s for food that isn’t even great and frozen. Even if the meat was fresh it’s not grass fed and it’s tasteless… disappointing. Anyone saying the good taste good are out their mind…

The menu said $11 with bacon, but somehow I ended up paying $19, plus extra for a drink. Meanwhile, the plain burger they gave me — without bacon — costs only $8. Math was mathing… but not in my favor. And the funniest part? Sometimes people look at me — a tiny sweet Asian girl — like I won’t notice anything. But listen… I may be cute, but I’m not so cute that I can’t tell when my bacon goes missing. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, overcharged, and bacon-less — which is honestly the worst part.

I should’ve went to seventh Street burger and got a burger from that place or even a local pizza shop would of been better…..horrible place don’t go here!!
