Wow! Just Wow! Can't say enough about this place. Came to celebrate my friends birthdays and we were all super impressed with the service, the atmosphere and especially the food! We all ordered a different plate and shared and couldnt decide which was our favorite, they were all so good and packed with so much flavor. The staff was so friendly and very attentive. Highly recommend this place for some flavorful jamaican cuisine 😋
This is the best Jamaican spot I've ever been to in my life. And I have been to many an authentic spot. Service was spot on. The food was amazing. And the atmosphere was perfectly fine and quaint. I'm so happy to have been blessed to experience this spot. I had the Jumieka sampler: Curry goat, oxtail, and jerk chicken, jasmine rice, rice and peas, and some really fresh coleslaw. The sorrel and ginger beer are the bomb! Will be back very soon.
Very clean, the atmosphere is super comfortable. The staff are very nice. The food was 10/10. Everything we had was amazing. I LOVE the jerk shrimp skewers the sauce is amazing! The oxtails were a 10/10. My partner had the curry chicken and it was really good. Whoever cooked this food you’re amazing. Every time I come from Philly this will be my go to! ❤️❤️❤️ FYI … Prices are fine to me. The grocery store prices fluctuate every week so complaining about prices is diabolical. 🫨 I’ll b back
Good Jamaican eats right here!! The Curry chicken and jerk chicken with plantains was excellent! My server was friendly and courteous! The atmosphere was pleasant with good vibes. Highly recommended For some good Jamaican food.
Loved coming to Jumeika Grand visited there first location and found out they had Grand. The staff are friendly and the portions are filling. The house made ginger beer top tier!! Shoutout Chef Kemis
Jumieka Grand Restaurant – A Must-Try for Oxtail Lovers! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jumieka Grand Restaurant, and I have to say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, but the real star of the night was the food. I ordered the oxtails with Jamaican rice and peas, and it was nothing short of perfection. The oxtails were tender, juicy, and packed with rich, deep flavor—you could tell they were slow-cooked to absolute perfection. Each bite melted in my mouth, with just the right balance of seasoning and spice. And then there’s the rice and peas—hands down some of the best I’ve ever had! The rice was perfectly cooked, fluffy yet hearty, and infused with that authentic coconut and thyme flavor that ties everything together beautifully. Every forkful was pure comfort. Beyond the food, the service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. If you’re craving authentic Jamaican cuisine, especially oxtails done right, Jumieka Grand is the place to be. I’ll definitely be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend!
Ran into this place totally by chance. Really good and authentic. The braised oxtail is simply superb! Will definitely be coming back.
Very Good Real Jamaican Flavors and Spice. Lovely, accommodating and fun friendly waitstaff. We frequent this place and bring friends. You should as well. Delicious - Jerk Chicken - Cod Fritters - Oxtail Stew - Curry Goat - Beef Patties - Caribbean Cole Slaw (no mayo, Thank you very much) Enjoy! 🎊🎉🥂🇯🇲💚💛🖤 Irie! 🇯🇲 💚 💛 🖤 🌴 🌞
At Jumieka Grand, the passion for service shines through. The friendly staff is dedicated to making each dining experience memorable, offering recommendations and sharing stories behind the dishes. The restaurant’s commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients means that guests can enjoy the true taste of Jamaica, with every meal prepared using the finest local produce and authentic seasonings.
I love me some red snapper, and the steamed snapper was great. Tell them to give it a kick if you order it. The wing appetizer had a great sauce but the meat was a little bland. The homemade sorrel was amazing. Just the right amount of ginger. I'm glad I came here.
Kemisha provided such outstanding service and was so helpful. We had ox tail, goat, chicken, lamb. It was so fresh. So tender. So perfectly seasoned. This will be our go-to spot. The upstairs is adorable too!!!
Absolutely phenomenal! The service was great and I loved the athmosphere and meaningful decorations. The jerk chicken burrito was so juicy and flavorful! Just enough salt & the mix of the hot sauce and mayo is phenomenal. The burrito bread was also great- not too hard and not too soft. I would highly recommend this place!

After trying the food here, it brought back fond memories of my travels to Jamaica. My co-workers and I were discussing where to grab some Caribbean food, and Jumieka Grand felt like the perfect spot for today. Our server, Kadeem, seated us in a cozy corner without me even having to ask, which I really appreciated. She was super attentive and genuinely interested in hearing about my trips to her homeland. I ordered the oxtail plate, and let me tell you—the food was beyond amazing. I didn’t leave a single grain of rice on my plate! The oxtail was tender, well-seasoned, and left me wishing I had a bigger stomach because my eyes wanted more, but I was perfectly satisfied after that plate. My co-worker ordered the curry chicken, which I got a taste of, and it was also delicious, but I’m sticking with the oxtail as my favorite. My only mistake? Forgetting to thank the chef—protect that person at all costs! I’ll definitely be telling my other co-workers about this spot, and I’ll be back the next time I’m in the area.

I love this place nice area, nice staff. I enjoyed my time there. My niece told her uncle and I about when she learning her cooking services but we couldn't go then but it was on our list. It was worth going we wanted to order everything on menu. The drinks was good. I order coconut drink it was good that I was feeling good lol walking not so well. We are going try when it is warmer and bring family. I enjoy my time.
The food: AMAZING The people: AMAZING The atmosphere: 101/10 I don’t even know where to begin other than the regulars and staff who were absolutely the kindest people I have ever met. I highly recommend the Curry Goat with rice and peas and the Ox Tails were absolutely delicious as well as the carrot and black cake. Everything was fall off the bone tender and mouth wateringly tasty. It was an amazing experience being in a little slice of Jamaica with amazing people and I will absolutely come back!!! ——— from sadness
Amazing experience at Jumeika Jamaican Restaurant in Manhattan! We ordered the oxtails meal with rice and peas and cabbage, and everything was cooked perfectly. The oxtails were tender and full of flavor. We also tried the coconut corn and a beef patty. Both were delicious. To top it all off, we finished with a cream soda. No complaints at all. Special shoutout to Ricky, who helped us out. He was very polite, helpful, and made the experience even better. I especially loved the cabbage. It reminded me of how Haitians make pikliz, so flavorful and well seasoned. Definitely coming back. Highly recommend! Sorry forgot to take photos. As you can see we were really hungry. Don’t worry they’re not cheap with the gravy!

This place has some pretty good and delicious Jamaican style food. They serve oxtails! The service here is outstanding, as the servers are attentive, friendly, and courteous. I love every single bite of the shrimp pasta rasta! The oxtails were pretty good as well, no complaints on that. The one caveat about eating here is the price of the food. You can easily spend $100+ when dining for two. The shrimp pasta rasta cost $35 and the oxtails was about $38. Add on a couple of drinks or desserts, and be ready for a $100+ tab. The food taste and quality was great, but the price was a bit much. I was thinking of getting dessert with an extra scoop of ice cream, but decided against it when I was informed that a extra scoop of ice cream was an extra $10 for a $15 dessert already. I would consider eating here again when I have cravings for Jamaican food, but I wouldn't eat here regularly due to the cost.

Got the Rice & Peas and Jerk Chicken through Uber Eats but it came warm which quickly went cold so I want able to thoroughly enjoy. I thought coleslaw was too sweet and interfered with the taste of the rice & peas. The Jerk chicken on the other hand was as authentic as they come and the quantity was equally generous.
Food is fresh and tasty although portions are a bit smaller than usual. I recommend the salmon; so well done and with just the right level of spice to cater to all ages, and tastes. I opted for non-alcoholic beverages and I invite you to try their sorrel juice. The wait staff are very hospitable. Clean space, quiet and welcoming atmosphere.
The servers were very nice and kind. Some of the best I've had the pleasure of being waited by. The presentation was really nice and the drinks were great. the best sorrel I've ever had. The food looked great but it tasted okay. Especially for the price which felt like you were paying for the aesthetic more than the taste
Tropical salad was the best thing we ordered, everything else tasted only ok but it might be a personal preference.

The oxtail was amazing, juicy and tender. The rice was okay and the veg was nice. Chicken wrap was okay, def not worth $20. The salmon crab cake was meh. Oxtail was definitely the star and what I would recommend.
Not good or authentic. Flavors are alright. Rice is terrible. When a sampler is $50 you expect it to be better than decent. No plantains with the sampler either. Disregarding price, the food is average.
