Reasonably priced, quick, awesomely delicious food.
This place is great! Fast and delicious
Go-to lunch spot. Never tried the American menu though.
Awesome food tucked all the way in the back of a bodega
Delicious Bibimbop! Still miss Korean food from Hawai'i but it really hit the spot. Highly recommend!
They're awesome! That's my breakfast go-to place in the mornings; it starts my day off right with a cup of coffee or juice.
great food, great service, plenty of vegetarian options
Solid stop for Korean food. The kimchi jjigae is ace.
Amazing korean food options. The staff is kind and will be back for more!
This place slaps for breakfast. Ask for bacon on the side with fried jalapeños and onions.
Very quick (like surprisingly fast) and amazing bibimbap!
A quick and tasty lunch spot, somewhat hidden inside a standard salad and sandwich joint.
Love my sandwich and my tea. It was a great experience and service.
This is my go to place for lunch near my work. Korean dishes are on point.
Wonderful place to get a bite to eat with a friend or by yourself very much enjoyed😊😍😍😍😍💖💞💚💜💙💛👍👍👍👍⭐⭐⭐⭐
Really delicious and affordable no-nonsense Korean food
Korean food in the back is so tasty. Seems to be family run. Seating area is great, good location to grab lunch.
I usually get the spicy pork with vegetables over rice and every one of the kimbob I’ve tried has been great. I just want to keep exploring the menu!
Great, affordable Korean lunch counter tucked into the back of a deli. I was so glad when I found this place again after it moved from its stand-alone storefront on 8th Ave. Highly recommended!
Took a while for the food to come out, but when it did it was beautiful present and tasted as good as it looks, a true gem near midtown can recommend 5/5
If you’re looking for quick, affordably priced Korean food, this is a great option! However if you’re seeking a vibey dine-in restaurant, you’re better off elsewhere. The kimchi pancakes were yummy!
This is some of the best-priced Korean food in Chelsea and my go-to to-go bibimbap spot
Solid high quality Korean deli. $15 inc tax for Bulgogibob. Well spiced and good portion.
Sometimes they take a while to complete the order, but the food is always great and the staff is friendly. Reasonably priced as well. Perfect choice for a cold rainy/snowy day.
Tasty and well priced, my favorite Chelsea lunch <3
Food was good, no frills 1 person shop. I got the yukgaejang! Super flavorful and hearty
Quick and efficient. You're in an out with your order. Secret: they have yummy kimbap here. I used to go here when I worked in this neighborhood.
It’s a real Korean mom and son operated gem. They put a lot of love and care into the food and gotta say it’s better than K town
Portions are fantastic, food quality is great, and the taste was excellent.
We stopped by to grab some korean food here. It was excellent. Very kind owner and staff. Strongly recommended!
Basically this is my favorite place to get kimbap in all of nyc. (Always go here after I get a tattoo) The selection is amazing. I've been going here for years. Everyone's so nice. And the food is always made fast.
Favorite Korean takeout. The woman behind the counter is so nice. All the kimbap is delicious.
I was surprised that my tuna roll was cooked tuna and not raw, but I ate it with a positive attitude because the staff were so kind. The roll also had fantastic pickled radish. The atmosphere is fun bc it’s New York deli vibes but you’re having Korean food.
A true hidden gem located at the back of this deli with some old school New York seating. Prices are more than reasonable considering the location. The most delicious Galbi-tang I’ve ever had with sweet owners.
Loved the kind woman at the counter, she was thoughtful enough to ask how far I was going so she could properly insulate the bag for a long commute! Soup was delicious, happy to support a small business.
Super authentic and delicious Korean food in the back of a bodega. Dont let location deter you. Some of the best Korean food I’ve had in New York City. A must visit!!
This is by far my favorite Korean take out place it’s truly a hidden gem. Their kimchi fried rice is really flavorful and especially when you add spam to it. Their budaejigae is also excellent and very flavorful. Yesterday I just tried their bibimbap and it is so fresh and flavorful, they add seaweed which makes it extra tasty and are even tho it full enough to put your bibimbap in a larger container with rice separated so it’s easier to stir and keep the ingredients fresher. Their kimbap is also tasty too. Absolutely recommend this place!!! The Korean section of this is located inside their normal deli in the back.
It's great that they have a non-spicy option for bibimbap for those in our family who can't handle spicy food. Great for takeout.
Best Korean lunch spot in the immediate vacinity. Great food, fast and friendly service and more-than-fair prices for a hearty, tasty meal. Best for take out, though there is a modest dining area inside.
Small korean restaurant located inside a deli so may be hard to find at first. You order at the place and then bring a card to the deli to pay. The lady at the counter was very nice. Bulgogi kimbap ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: not a bad kimbap but nothing that will blow your mind.
Outstanding Korean food. A New York moment to sit in a bodega eating fantastic homey and authentic food. Can’t recommend enough!!!
Hidden food gem place. Was craving Korean food and came across this one online. Had sweet and spicy pork cooked with kimchi i guess, pork dumplings and slow cooked non spicy beef soup. Loved all of those. For sure recommend.
I’ve been coming here for years! The soon doo boo ji gae is a delicious and filling vegetarian dish. The portion is well worth the $10 price. Service is always quick. Best food on 23rd street! :)
I eat lunch here every day No fuss, all good
We are tourists and wanted some affordable but good Korean food. Kofoo is a little gem in this busy city. Amazing flavours and so fresh! Like my grand mother just cooked me a home cooked meal. Good portions and very affordable.
This was our favorite Cafe when we stayed in Chelsea. Excellent Korean Food but also a lot of other made to order choices including Bagels, subs, soups, and breakfast items. We ate there every morning and by day three they knew my coffee order and had it ready. Our favorite item was their Everything Bagel with strawberry cream cheese.
I accidentally put the wrong address when I was ordering via Grubhub and it was my fault. The owner extremely nice and tried to deliver my food to my work, so that I could have warm Korean food. The food was delicious and reminded me of my grandma’s food. I will def order again.
This my favorite Korean takeout place for the last 3-4 years. I have ordered food multiple times and have never been disappointed. The food is fresh, good portions and authentic. They make other food that's also very good. They're always friendly and the place is clean.
I think the photo says it all. Tuna kimbap simple and tasty, ddokbokki taste like my mum made it. So comfy cozy and friendly. Diner is simple and not luxury or anything but it’s comfy cozy and friendly like the food.
Perfect for a quick and delicious meal! This is a very cozy and simple place to get some lunch or dinner. The korean food in here was so good for the price. I got the spicy tuna and avocado gimbap and tteokbokki. Both were done in about 5-10mins of ordering and made nicely. The lady at the counter was so kind. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for an easy quick meal. ☺️
The pork dish is a 5 but the chicken is a 3. They are very generous with meat portions, but the chicken was a bit dry & not seasoned very well. Service is quick and very friendly. Note, I substituted salad for rice.
A cute little mom and pop type convenient store/ deli the spicy Kimbap reminds me of one I used to eat at Super 88 next to BU many years ago such a comfort at a great price
I haven't been here in a long time, but the food is still just as delicious and of high quality as ever and the prices are still incredibly affordable which is surprising.
I got the Soondubu jiggae & a spicy tuna kimbap. The kimbap was okay, i’ve had better. But the soup was absolutely amazing and heartwarming. They gave such a big portion!
A great fast food korean with pictures of every dish posted on the wall for those of us not experts in korean cuisine. I thought it would be a good idea to ordee wasabi shrimp shumai. It is true to its name. Very strong wasabi flavor but delicious! My meal came with complimentary kimchi and HOT sauce. I also ordered the beef bibimbob. I love how korean food makes good use of vegetables. The meat was warm but everything else cold. Overall very good!

Good for reasonably priced Korean food when you want a new lunch option!
Never had any issues, always order the ramen soup and it’s always delicious 😋
Good Korean food in the back of a deli. Solid place for lunch.
Quick, friendly, easy. Don't let the less than renovated appearance fool you, this place is great!
Great bagels and quick service. But I didn't enjoy the coffee.
Nice place and very good food.
If you are in the area this is your lunch choice. With the mix of deli grill, juice bar, and asian specialty menu, everyone is sure to find something in your group.
A great spot to get authentic Korean food at lunch or after work. Today I got the bulgogi and kimchi kimbob and it was a pretty decent amount of food - 12 kimbob pieces! The kimbob was packed with bulgogi, kimchi, crunchy cucumber, carrots, and egg.The sweet bulgogi with the spicy and vinegary kimchi was a perfect balance of flavor. Sometimes after work on a cold day, I’ll order the soon du boo jigae and beef, which comes with white rice and a side of kimchi.
Good Korean food! A hidden gem in the back of a deli. Used to be a stand-alone little place on 8th Avenue before moving here. Try the spicy pork, the bulgogi, or the duk man soup.
May not have ordered the right dish because I thought the chicken breast rice set was decent but a bit too basic to enjoy. Liked the concept of a no frills Korean canteen in the back of a bodega but perhaps I’ll try the kimbap next time.
I fell in love with KoFoo's Hot and Spicy Noodle Soup with Seafood. There omelette rice combo is amazing too and your always giving enough food to share. My only complaint is the wait time. I wait long sometimes in person and when I deliver. I think your best bet is to call ahead and then come in and pick it up.
This is a Korean place located inside a diner. There’s a good variety of food to choose from, and the bibimbap was good. Portion was just right, and flavors were on point. Missing a fried egg though!
Food tastes like a meal from your grandma or homey vibes if I had to explain it. It's a very casual spot. The shop is located inside a bunch of other stalls. There's very limited seating, so take out is ideal if you're close by. Theres no bathrooms here either. The kimbap and soups are SO fantastic. I crave it. I felt like the portion for the squid was very little, but the flavor was so good. Duk bok ki was ok - I wouldn't say it's the best, but the omlete rice, kimbap, and yuk gae Jang was just so good. Soups are in bowls bigger than your head, and it comes with a side of rice as well. It's definitely a hole in the wall, and the owner running is very kind.
This is a cool, quick little dive for good Korean. The food is quite authentic, and very reasonably priced. If you plan on sitting down, be ready for some culture. I really enjoyed the Udon soup
It’s not a place to dine in, but food was good. I went there for lunch. There was no line and it took them 7 minutes to prepare my order to go. I ordered kimpab with tuna and avocado, it was tasty. Total price was around $15 which is a bit more than I expected but it was enough food for lunch.
KoFoo is a Korean food spot located inside a larger deli mart. Their food was pretty decent and got the job done. We stumbled into KoFoo for a quick bite after the first restaurant we went to would have taken too long to serve us. We ordered the udon with beef and the omelet rice with beef. The udon came out nice and hot and was satisfying on a cold day. The broth was tasty. We paid extra to add beef but there wasn’t very much of it. The omelette rice was tasty. There was much more beef added into this dish than the udon. The rice was satisfying but a little on the buttery/oily side and was a bit much after a while. Both dishes came with kimchi which was delicious.
I ordered the kimchi fried rice and the tteokbokki. I loved the kimchi fried rice, but the tteokbokki wasn’t worth it. I’ve made tteokbokki before, and there wasn’t enough rice cakes inside. I paid 10 dollars for it. The kimchi fried rice one the other hand was worth every penny. Just upset that I found paper inside my rice. I will be coming back, I just hope I don’t find any more paper in my dish.

Delicious gelato! Very friendly staff... I tried three different flavors and had a chocolate cookies and cream / pistachio... Hit the spot... Not thrilled about the 3% credit card fee.. Apart from that, tremendous!

Used to be a Blimpies, but now a focus on Korean Food. A little pricey.
Too expensive for mid korean food
The food was ok. I saw a large, dead roach on the ground in front of the cash register. I wouldn't feel comfortable eating here again due to hygiene reasons.
The Korean food is really good! I got the spicy rice cake, and it was better than most places I've been, and the portions are large, which explain why they're a little more expensive (was around $8 for spicy rice cake). My friend got the chicken Caesar salad for around $9(for the regular size) and there was barely any spinach--it was mostly croutons and chicken. Very very salty, so I would not get it here again. Rather small seating area, with not so great ambience. Better to take your food down the block to Madison Square Garden and enjoy the cute dogs and the sun :)
No-frills place serving delicious Korean food sold at reasonable prices. Service was pleasant but rather slow during the early evening of our visit, when there were only a handful of customers around. Our wait time was 20 minutes. The dining area is functional but not the most inviting. No restrooms.
Ordered the spicy stir fried squid. The food is not bad but portion is on the small side. My order total with tax came out to $13.01. I had cash so I gave the lady $13 thinking she would let the penny go. She kept counting the money for a while, and I figured she must really wanted that penny badly. Advice: pay with credit card.
UPDATE: i have been here a couple of times and its a decent lunch spot. Food times have increased as more people are finding out that this place is inside the Deli and lines are getting longer. Still one of the few spots where you can get a decent meal for under 10 bucks in the area. Last meals include bibimbap and bulgogi. the bulgogi was not as great as always, meat was a bit tuff and fatty. Will update the review once i try them again and see if they improved the meat cut. OLD REVIEW: Love the variety of plates, cheap meals and filling. From the basic Korean staples like bibiimbob, bulgogi, yuk gae jan this place has it all. Quality of food is just a tad below ktown but its not bad at all. I saw a lot of koreans eating here, thats a sign that the food is legit.
I ordered spaghetti with meat sauce here, and not only was it cheap and quick, it was also really tasty. You can’t go wrong with cheap corner-store Italian food in the city. They had all kinds of cafeteria-style bites with seating, so it was easy to sit down and enjoy a good, affordable meal.
I got the spicy tofu stew and it was pricey. After tax, it was around $15 with no meat included. If you want any meat, it’s extra $$. Taste wise, pretty mid.

I picked up and the food I ordered didn't contain the soup, but the wrapping paper is already wet And the staff is a little unfriendly when I pickup my order
Price to high.quality of products very low.i won't feed a pig.vegetables must of the times are spoiled.and when customers complain the get bend it out of shape.
I am disappointing at the quality of food. The Korean food is made in the back by one man while the rest of the store sells sandwiches and salads. Service is slow for a quiet sunday without another customer and not an enjoyable place to sit and eat. The atmosphere is dreary and dated. The quality of Korean food was poor. I ordered Blugogi rice , spicy avocado sushi and a kimpop and they tasted terrible. I am not comparing the food with good authentic Korean food in flushing or k town, but it should be at least passable. Rice was stale and the meat was difficult to eat. I came on a Sunday, so maybe it’s leftover food from the week. The reviews here are misleading and the high reviews are the only reason why I came here; never again and misleading. 4.4 is way too high for the lack of quality of food.
The opening time is wrong. Waste time driving there but they closed nobody. Have to get other food here but taste really bad
Worst place ever. Placed a delivery I messed up the avenues , they told me they couldnt deliver to me because I messed it up and didnt refund me the $. I couldn't pick up because i'm with 3 children! They dont care about their customers.
Place is in a deli.Food was not good at all. Over that it was bit pricey compared with the quality.
I ordered restaurant yesterday and spent about $40 on three plates of food. The order came quickly but once I started eating my chicken dish was undercooked and tasted very funny so I called back the store and told the owner and she proceeded to call me a liar about it. So I go out of my way to go to the restaurant even do I order delivery to bring back to food to show her that it is undercooked. Once I get there she proceeds to open my plate and tear each piece of chicken with her hand and her asking me ‘does this look uncooked to you’ and put the chicken in my face. She repeated that about 12x. I kept asking her for my money back and she kept making a big deal until i called my boyfriend and she gave me my cash. This morning i have food poisoning. This establishment is horrible no kind of customer service and im honestly shocked shes in business. Dont do it to yourselves dont eat here!!!!
Terrible service! Came by for a sandwich for breakfast before my shift. When I arrived to work with my sandwich and finally had the chance to sit down and eat it, I was given the wrong order. I asked for turkey and was given tuna instead. I called to ask for a refund as I was already clocked into work and couldn’t leave to bring back the sandwich, in order to receive the correct order, but was told that I couldn’t get a refund and must return back to the deli to get my sandwich remade. I explained to the owner that I couldn’t come by until my lunch break which is only thirty minutes and I’m five blocks away from the deli, therefore I didn’t want to spend my lunch break waiting to get my order fixed because the deli worker made a mistake. Additionally, the lady at the cashier LIED to the owner saying I argued with them about the price of the sandwich when I simply asked why it was $11.29 for a turkey sandwich. No argument was made. This establishment has poor customer service and the employees here need to work on their attitudes.
Staff was very rude and unreasonable when making a mistake and misinterpreting my order, insisting on making me pay more for a mistake that they did. Although the food was indeed good, the attitude of the workers there has driven me away for my first time there. They were straight up rude, disrespectful, and wouldn't admit that they were the ones at fault. Paying almost $10 for a meal that was half the price is insane.
