Opinions de The Storehouse New York
This bar is great. Reliable, great service and great staff. If you stop by, ask for Crane. Coolest guy working here.
Stumbled upon this place and so glad I did! Service: Phenomenal. The bartender was very friendly and attentive and (I’m a bit picky) he gave my order exactly how I asked it. Food: Very good! Highly recommend the burger. Atmosphere: There was some meetup group there and they were a bit loud, but that won’t stop me from coming again. I’m sure it happens everywhere, but also if they chose this place as their meetup spot, I’m sure they did for a good reason.
Staff was great! I had a burger and fries. My only critique is I thought the fries were way too salty. The burger was cookers perfectly and tasted great. Drinks were on point. I’ll definitely return.
Visited this bar a couple times, it was ok, had some massive appetisers which were delicious. They’re happy hour is the best time to visit as drinks and food is cheaper. A laidback atmosphere, just what you need after the hustle and bustle of New York.
The place was awesome. Great food and considering there was only one bartender the service was top notch. Food was fantastic. Had the Butternut Squash Salad with a Turkey Burger, shot of Bushmill with a couple of Maine Mo's and a couple of Road2Ruins and he even brought out an Apple Crumble for my wife's Birthday. Tipped well. He surely deserved it. Nice thick beard for an Irish Joint. Highly recommend. Best place been in all weekend.
We just happened to pass by and we're looking for a spot to get a little bite to eat. Tried their hummus with Chris and it was just delicious. They were kind enough to send us some additional crisps on request. The drinks were great as well. And we forgot our credit card on the way out. They were kind enough to hold on to it and we were thankfully able to get it back from them. So helpful! Highly recommend this place!
This place is a crazy great vibe. Bartender Crane is an absolute dawg and I’d come back after any night out.
Great bar with great service and food.
Crane was super nice with 10/10 service, best bartender I’ve met in nyc! Will definitely be back for him to be my bartender again!!!
First time in NYC spent; the last few nights going to different bars and finally, I have found the best bar in central NYC. Great atmosphere and Mike at the bar serves generous measures with some Irish humour and cheek. Great pub great atmosphere and I’ll be back again!
Amazing Irish ale house, two floors! At first we were seated downstairs in the bar area which was was happy hour loud and we were just not in the mood for the crowds and noise. Our hostess was more than pleased to seat us upstairs which was more mellow and chill, exactly the mood we were looking for. Ordered cold, cold, cold beers so they were very tasty. Had mac n cheese croquettes, amazing. Shepherds pie, on point! Fish and chips fried to perfection!! If you like Irish food and cold beers....get here!!!
A fabulous, large and lovely bar with great food, wonderful, friendly and very nice staff. No one is a stranger and fantastic music. Make sure you meet and say hello to Fiona she is fun and amazing even though she stands on her tip toes to work the computer. 😂❤ I highly recommend!
Burgers and wings are the best we've had since arriving and we wish we'd found this place earlier. Do yourself a favour, especially if you're visiting, take a side trip out of the Times Square swill and visit this place! Clean, spacious and the best food and service, with amazing prices.
Love this place, have been coming to this same establishment since 2015, while it was on 23rd street. This new location was great still. Came with a group of gals, and the bartender was super attentive, kind and down to earth very clean and cool atmosphere !
I love this place. It is open late so i tend to come in before taking my train ride home after a long shift. They have some awesome concoctions and the bartender Kenny is always very nice and attentive. They also have great homemade chips and the playlist is mostly early 2000s and late 90s rock ..... it really is a welcomed change from many of the cookie cutter bars in the city that lack originality
Loved the hour I spent here. Our group came after dinner for drinks to celebrate the holidays. The bartender was an amusing character. He didn't believe that it was one of our guys' birthday (reasonably so), nor did he ask for ID to prove it. Later another group came in, with one of the ladies wearing a birthday headband, and the bartender waved our buddy over to join him and the birthday girl for a shot. There are darts here too.
Crane was an awesome bartender and made us feel very welcome! I highly recommend stopping in for a beverage and appetizer. Eat Life my friends!
Was in town for work, came in with colleagues one day and Crane looked after us amazingly. Came back twice before leaving. Great spot.
Shout out to Sebastian! Will be coming back to this place because of him!
Food was great (buffalo cauliflower in particular). Place was slammed but Crane never left my glass empty. Cool spot in a great location, def coming back.
I come here at least twice a month. Drinks are amazing, food is delicious. Great place to hang out with friends.
I love coming to this bar. Especially when Effie and Louis are working. They are the dream team as far as customer service goes. Food and drinks are great. Whenever I come here, I am treated like family. I would highly recommend this place, you will not regret it! Effie is by far the best bartender in NYC! She makes the best Willy wonka !
What a great bar! Spent a lot of nights in here chatting with regulars, playing darts and listening to some absolute gems on the jukebox. Staff are always incredibly friendly AND of course they pour an excellent pint of Guinness!
I go to this bar all the time, the food here is really good, especially the store house burger! The bartenders are friendly. I always go to Effie the bartender she’s so nice and makes great margaritas! It’s always a blast coming here with my friends. I definitely recommend coming here if you need a place to eat, drink, and have fun with your friends.
I recently came in and had a couple of beers and a BADASS quesadilla. Crane was absolutely awesome and had a great knowledge of the products and made sure I was taken care of by the chefs, my girlfriend ate the cauliflower meal and they made sure to leave any allergy issues out of her food as well. I will highly recommend the establishment not just because they have a great variety of drinks, but the food was ON POINT!!!
Crane might be my favorite bartender in NYC. Instantly makes you feel welcome, attentive, funny, super genuine, everything you’d want when you walk into a bar.
Storehouse is awesome to have a good time with friends but it gets more perfect when Effie is there!! Profesional and kindness in one person!! I loved her!! Best employee!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Visited NYC from Columbus, Ohio. We were staying in chelsea and happened upon this bar. Didn’t plan that this would be the place we went every night, but my friend and I had the best time. Service was great, the bartenders were so sweet and attentive, they have TouchTunes so you can choose your own music. We will be coming back asap to come back and visit the bartenders/our new favorite bar. Thank you to everyone there for making us feel welcome!
** Five stars for the Guinness, ten stars for Sebastian. ** The Storehouse might be an Irish pub, but the real attraction is Ecuadorian. 😛 If you: - like a hot Latin stud - who pours a perfect Guinness - with Guinness foam art -- from shamrocks to the sexually explicit 🔥 - who makes you want to order something stiff - who is trilingus trilingual Then you need to stop by the Storehouse. Go see Sebastian. Tip him well.
I had a wonderful time in this establishment. Effie was an engaging and vibrant bartender that made me feel welcome as a solo guest. Sebastian picked up where she left off and I couldn’t have had a better experience here. The wings were great and the Guinness was proper! Give it a try if you’re in the area!
We really enjoyed Storehouse! The service was good and the food was tasty. We had the fish and chips (great coleslaw!) and the Vegetable Pot Pie.
I only had beers at the bar but they have a cool menu. Definitely worth a trip.
Great place to go for food and drink. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly bartenders, especially Cane.
The draft Guinness is on point and the service from the bartender was lovely. I went there alone and sat at the bar, and was welcomed and made to feel very comfortable. The food was good, and the atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect and enjoy from an Irish sports bar.
Ive been to this place multiple times and can say with full confidence that this place has great food (The image is of their fillet tartar which was perfectly done and extremely fresh), and a good selection of beer but what puts this place over the top is the amazing staff. Servers are terrific. Bartenders are amazing. They are friendly without being over bearing and pay attention to all their guests. The atmosphere is great as well i love the high ceilings. It makes it feel veey open and even if there are alot of people you dont feel cramped. This is by far my favorite place to go after work and have a quick drink ... or even two.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month i swing by this joint to put down a double G&T with my buds and brothers. The place is large enough to accommodate many large groups of people at the expense of looking like many of the trendy craft beer restaurants ive seen in PA and Ohio suburbs. Theres no pretention here though. The toilets are clean and the old bay seasoned french fries are flipping awesome.
Storehouse is one of the most hospitable and friendly atmospheres you can find in New York City. It was initially my after-work spot, but I’ve become a long time customer since then. Crane is one of the friendliest people, let alone bartenders, that you’ll come across. Come here for a great bite and comfortable atmosphere.
Great atmosphere, relaxed with good screens to watch the Winter Olympics.
Highly recommend for group celebration or just happy hour. We had about 20 people in separate area with a great bartender Caroline & it was perfect for us to mingle and enjoy drinks and hearty food. Fabulous atmosphere, staff & made the event perfect.
Listen you want to have a good time come here and hang out with the bartender Crane. Not kidding he was the best person I’ve met in nyc. I have never met a harder worker than him. He will make your night. I promise you. If I could give 6 stars I would
We stopped in yesterday while working our way through the city -- the Happy Hour on a Sunday certainly caught our attention. Place wasn't too crowded, so we huddled up to the bar and had a great time before heading back to Baltimore. Caroline, our server/bartender, was super friendly and checked in with us regularly. We would go back.
I love coming to Storehouse! All the bartenders are full of personality and treat you with so much respect. It almost makes you feel like family. Shout out to Sebastian, Crane, Kevin, Kenny, and Effie for making me feel so at home. If you’re looking for good food, good drinks and even better company, I can’t recommend anywhere more than Storehouse!
I really enjoy coming to this spot, it has become my favorite in the area. My friend Dave recommended me and I love it ! The service is great from the bartenders especially Effie. Mike the owner when he’s around is great energy ! Larry is honestly the best cook I have encountered. From the steak frits to the grill cheese with tomato soup… finger licking good ! They have a wide range of drinks and their happy hour is 12-7 !! There are sports entertainment all around ! Including a projector!! 2 bars !! Seating for groups !! I just love it and I make the trip from the Bronx anytime I want to have an amazing time !!
Very accommodating staff. They changed channel to a different game at the bar when I asked. Service was great and both bartenders were really friendly.
Got the burger for lunch. It was A M A Z I N G. Seriously, cooked perfectly, bun toasted perfectly, lettuce and pickles cool and crispy. My only complaints - the music was SO loud. Not just loud but SO loud it was almost impossible to think or hold a conversation. Just the bartender was serving, and service was good.
This is such a rare NYC gem. Great prices and great people. The tall guy behind the bar with the beard- wish I got his name- he was so kind and so welcoming without knowing us. My boyfriend and I had a great experience and I highly recommend to anyone coming through
We were there for the El Classico screening. It’s a good sports bar for fine afternoon. The staff were friendly with quick service. The house lPA was 3.5/5.
My husband and I came in to visit after a recommendation from a place we were staying at. Crane was awesome! The vibe was a great time, food was amazing- and I’m already thinking about what we will order next!! Thanks for the great service!!
I had an amazing dining experience at Storehouse NY! The juicy Angus burger combined with crispy chicken tenders was a delightful indulgence. The flavors blended perfectly, creating a mouthwatering symphony in every bite. To complement the meal, I enjoyed a refreshing beer on the side. The friendly service provided by the waitress effie added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Don't forget to tip your waitress for the exceptional service! I'll definitely be returning for another satisfying and delicious meal.
Everything I want in a NY bar. Great music. Great people. Great ambiance. The prices are good and so are the fries. Stop by if you’re walking by and you won’t be sorry. It’s a neat spot that nobody bothers you at and that’s my favorite. I can just exist here without needing to have discussion and conversations, BUT if I want to that’s available as well 💜
I had a very good lunch experience here. When it first opened, I was a bit skeptical based on the prices, but recently I noticed they introduced a happy hour and lunch specials. I tried the lunch special for the first time today and it was great. For $16 you get an excellent burger, perfectly cooked w. cheese, caramelized onions, and bacon, a side of high quality fries, better than bottled ketchup, and a solid, crisp pickle. You also get a beer or glass of wine, and not Bud Light either, it was BP Toasted Lager. All in all, a great lunch for a decent price. The service was perfect. The space is very nice, super high ceilings with classy finishes. There are huge TV screens if you want to watch sports. I will definitely come back for a game or for happy hour.
Nice calm location with great comfort food and decent service. Prices are good, and the happy hour specials are very nice. Sit at the bar during the afternoon for best service.
Good pub with great staff!!! A large but standard New York style Irish pub. Busy for happy hour and Weekends. The classic pub food tastes homemade and is delicious- try the Steak and Guiness Pie! Ask Effie to make you one of her Spiked Iced Coffees, but only have one cause two will put you on tune floor!
Good Happy Hour and their food is yummy. Great burger!! They have veg options. Cocktails can be a bit pricey but very tasty!! They have a fairly large selection of whisky, as well.
Nice little bar - as others have said, the amount of natural light you get throughout makes a surprising difference compared to lots of these type of places. Good screens, good service, good selection of drinks. Food is just okay and it's NYC prices - $125 for three rounds of NA beers, a turkey burger and five wings.
The food was good. Went here as a pitstop before our company team holiday activity. Chicken was good quality, but lacked flavor. Great sliders. Strong drinks; love it. Overall - nice place to check out if you dig a slightly elevated sports bar vibe.
It's a Kansas State Bar, not mentioned anywhere on their website. So they showed their k state football game no one cared about over the Yankees world series game. Food was passable.
It’s a bit of a local dive bar. We came here for drinks and to talk. We grabbed a table top near the bar and ordered chicken fingers – they were ok. They didn’t have the brand of beer or hard liquor we wanted (Modelo and Belvedere vodka) but we settled on Stella Artois and Grey Goose. It was a little noisy at first. The highlight was the bartender who was very attentive and the service was great. Not sure we’d return.
The bar? Fantastic. Drinks on point, playing, vibes are good. But then… fate called. And by fate, I mean my bladder. And that’s when the adventure began. I start walking toward the bathroom, totally unaware of the trauma my senses were about to endure. Halfway there, my nose twitched. Something in the air shifted. I took another step and WHAM — Let me be VERY clear: This was not a normal “someone didn’t spray” situation. This was a biological event. Years of trauma, never cleaned up after the murder type work. Think of the worst porta potty you’ve ever experienced at a music festival. Now imagine it’s Day 3. The sun is at full power. Everyone has made terrible life choices. That porta potty has seen things that cannot be forgiven. Now multiply that smell by four. Then let it simmer indoors. That is what greeted me before I even touched the bathroom door. Both bathrooms, too. Men’s and women’s — toxic unity. It smelled like: A sewage plant and a dumpster had a baby… and abandoned it. Someone boiled cabbage, gym socks, and used tampons in a Crock-Pot. A raccoon ate Taco Bell, lost a fight, and died in the walls. A frat house bathroom after dollar tequila night... Someone microwaved old fish in a Tupperware and left it in the office kitchen... died and no one ever threw it away. The bar was great. But the bathroom? The bathroom is where Febreze goes to die. Send help. Send maintenance. Do something. Otherwise, it was pretty chill.
If you want to be taken advantage of this is your spot. Either getting overcharged on your order, upped on your tip until you catch it, or what is believed to be one of the co-owners who bartends there following you into the bathroom to make a move. I'd like to assume the drinks themselves are safe but that's an unsafe assumption given the behavior and that it is an apparent trend based on reviews that aren't a weird pop of five star reviews with nothing to say other than how great the bartenders or owners are. Don't worry though, the owner that makes himself known will pay lip service with the generic feel good responses on here while those same issues continue.
Terrible bartenders, the men who work here have the attitudes of a female.
The staff wouldn't take a photo of us and overcharged another and regularly brought the wrong order from the QR menu
We walked in and bartender literally ran over and refused service bc my friend ran to the bathroom and the rest of us didn’t even get a chance to order and when we went to order he tried to up charge the hell out of us for a drink….worst ever DONT GO HERE
Hi, I just wanted to say I don’t think it’s right to charge 10% extra just for paying by card. That’s not fair to customers, and unless it’s clearly posted and legal, it shouldn’t be happening. Please consider changing this policy.
I stopped in on a rainy Wednesday after work (approx 6:15). The apparent ‘bartender’ was busy heating up McDonalds French fries for co- workers- completely ignored me and the man sitting next to me who kept saying “excuse me?” To try to get his attention. The bar was completely deserted after he finished distributing the reheated fries to his friends. I left. This happened 12/11/2024. There’s a lot of other bars in this city.
On St. Patrick’s Day, my friends and I visited this bar where we were met with an unwelcoming atmosphere. The bartender Caroline was dismissive from the start, making us feel unwelcome. When we addressed our concerns with the manager, CRAINE we realized he had already sided with the bartender, assuming we were the problem. Rather than listening to our experience, he responded with aggression and indifference, stating that his priority was his employees—not his customers. The interaction left us feeling disrespected and even somewhat profiled, turning what should have been a festive outing into an uncomfortable experience. I wouldn’t recommend coming to this bar .
Asked for an amaretto sour it came out too sweet I asked that bartender if I can get a beer in stead he starts to school me about the way it made And I can tell you when you get this kind of drink your throat not suppose to burn He used too much syrup Then exchanged it for the smallest beer possible 15$ for a good amaretto I will gladly pay but a bad one
Was treated with hostile agression upon entry by the server Caroline before even ordering drinks. Due to this asked for the manger Crane to come over and he completely dismissed my groups complaint and proceeded to talk over us saying he has the best interest of his employee. Would not recommend coming here unless you want a horrible experience and rude customer service.
When I went to the StoreHouse, I ordered a burger and fries through a QR code menu which I also paid through using Apple Pay. The food was fine, but what WAS NOT OKAY was when I went to check out the total was $20.00 on the dot, but the day after when I went to check the charge, tax was added (which is understandable) but an 18% tip was also added. Keep in mind that a tip was NOT DISCLOSED when I checked out on the app. A 18% tip would be fine IF it was included on the charge PRIOR to me checking out and buying my food AND if I had actual service by a waiter who took my order AND asked if my food was to my liking. I have no problem paying what came out to be a $5 tip, but it has to be deserved by ACTUAL SERVICE, and you HAVE to know you are paying that tip before agreeing to pay (because if you agree to pay for your food at one price and the restaurant charges your card another price without you knowing about it, that is fraud). I called them to ask about this days ago asking to speak to the manager briefly and haven’t heard of them since. I have no problem paying a tip when it’s deserved and I know I’m paying for it, but it’s the PRINCIPAL of DEFINITIVELY agreeing to pay to one amount, but your card being charged more.
Charged me for a friend's drinks in addition to my own even though he already paid cash for them. Very disappointed.
First at all, one of the things that never should be allowed in the premises is customers insulting another customer, even if there are friends with staff. Allowing anyone to call a person who is a female a man and attacking them it is not a situation that should be allow in any place. Regardless of work Ethic, I came here to have fun and a drink, to get into a situation where a person is being insulted it is not appropriate. I think the world of influencer content has its limitations yet again it because friendship with staff should not hurt patrons that are coming in. Definitely won't be back.
