Opinions de L' Amore New York
I recommend the linguini vongole it was so delicious and the tiramisu they said is homemade was just perfect. Servers are so friendly, very good atmosphere. We start good our holidays in little Italy!
What a great spot! Impeccable service, friendly staff, out of this world Italian food. We got the Tagliatelle Pescatore, which was such a fantastic blend of seafood, freshly made pasta and sauces. And we also ate the lobster ravioli, which had a pink sauce that was one of the best sauces I have ever tried on any food. Highly recommended! Ayman, Elio and Andrea were simply phenomenal staff. We love L’Amore and would love to come back again!
Sat at L’amour to have drinks after doing some walking through Chinatown and we had the best time. Andrea and Walter were so nice and gave us great recommendations to do in the city. Wonderful place to hang out on a summer day, drink, eat and enjoy this amazing city! Thank you guys!
My visit to L'Amore Italian Restaurant in Manhattan was an absolute delight, especially for a pizza and cocktail aficionado like myself. The pizza here is arguably the best in New York, with each bite offering a perfect blend of crispy crust, fresh toppings, and authentic Italian flavors. It's not just food; it's an experience. The ambiance of L'Amore complements the dining experience beautifully. It's a place that melds elegance with comfort, making it suitable for a variety of occasions. The service also deserves praise – attentive, friendly, and always on point. But what really took my experience over the top were the drinks – specifically, the Negroni and Aperol. These cocktails were to die for, expertly mixed and balanced, enhancing the overall meal. The Negroni was robust and nuanced, while the Aperol was refreshingly light and flavorful. They're a testament to the skill of the bartenders at L'Amore. In summary, whether you're in Manhattan for a day or a lifetime, L'Amore Italian Restaurant is a must-visit for its exceptional pizza, inviting ambiance, top-notch service, and outstanding drinks. A gem in the city's culinary scene. Thank you for the best tiramisú!!!
One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been too! I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on this menu, and the tiramisu is to die for. Highly recommend!
Stopped in for a late lunch after a long day of shopping in SoHo. Had the cutest table outside with our own personal heater. Service was very friendly and attentive. Food was absolutely exceptional. Had the pesto gnocchi with mussels and an arugula salad. Would highly recommended to anyone. Ultra authentic Italian food made with love.
What a great meal! Fresh pasta!! The staff was amazing and did not rush you to leave after your meal. Great prices as well. The Lasagna was great the tomatoe sauce was absolutely perfect. The cheese ravioli was really good and hit the spot. I tried Birra Moretti an Italian beer for the first time and really enjoyed it. I know there are a lot of choices in Little Italy but I do recommend you try L’Amore!
Today we have the pleasure of dining in this beautiful restaurant. With the help of our server Andres we decided to try out the special seafood pasta with lobster! It was incredible, every bite of this plate was delightful. I'll dare to say that this is one of the best seafood pastas I've tried so far in Little Italy. 10/10
The food and service from the maître di calling us in to the friendly service delivered by Vincent were all incredible. This was my parents and sister’s first time in New York and we stopped in Little Italy for an authentic meal, DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Thank you L’Amore for an amazing meal and experience. I’m sorry some of the pictures do not do it justice. Their signature dish ossobuco risotto was magnificó and their espresso martini made by Juliana hit the spot! Mahalo and aloha 🤙🏽
There are a lot of similar restaurants in Little Italy and choosing one can be a daunting task. However, the host, Alex, managed to talk us into sitting at this restaurant for lunch today. It was the best decision of the day! The food is amazing, and the service is even better. Alex made the entire lunch a true delight. He continuously checked on us even though he's the host, not our waiter, and he made sure that we were taken care of at all times. I highly recommend this restaurant.
This was my first time at this new Italian restaurant on Mulberry street in little Italy. The service and waiters were excellent. Hospitable, attentive and welcoming. The prices were amazing. Food came out surprisingly fast. Prices less than I’ve paid elsewhere. I got the penne al a vodka, bruschetta and tried the lemon shots from the bar. Everything excellent. Thank you!
We were nearby at Canal Street and was craving for some good pasta to carb load before our Marathon and found L’Amore as we strolled down Little Italy. It’s a quiet, cosy and small restaurant with dimly lit lights and red neon signages. Service was really top-notch though - waitress were really attentive and friendly. Service was super efficient. We tried the Seafood Risotto, Chicken Alfredo and Lasagna. Not the best I have tasted but for sure one of the best meals in NY so far. Biggest win point will be their generous portions which can almost easily feed 2 adults! Washroom is clean; prices reasonable. Complimentary bread was served. Drinks were on happy hour prices too for beers, wine and cocktails. There’s alfresco dining option also but be sure to be within the bustling crowd and will be noisy. Otherwise, the setting indoors are really comfortable and more private.
Mamma mia, the lobster ravioli hit the spot on this cold rainy night. Perfect temperature, chewiness, amount of ravioli, the amount of lobster meat... the SAUCE. Enjoyed it with a pelligrino sparkling water at dinner, nothing crazy finished the meal off with some macchiato & creme brulee. Excellent service, will come back!
The food was delicious! Some of the best Italian food I’ve had. We got the spaghetti with meatballs, fettuccini Alfredo, and homemade lasagna. All we’re good and totally worth it. Prices were fair. I would recommend to anyone wanting to eat some good Italian food while visiting Little Italy.
A very nice restaurant in the very center of Little Italy. Encouraged by the gentleman from the staff, we decided to have dinner here. We were not disappointed, the dishes were very tasty. Fresh vegetables and wonderful pasta, and cheesecake for dessert. Mmmmm....Real Italy in the center of New York. We highly recommend it.
Excellent Italian Dishes!! Setup -- rolled in here for "second dinner" 😂 after having reservations at another spot in Little Italy for our first dinner. Food -- wish we had had this place for first dinner! We only got one dish, a few drinks, and a dessert and we greatly enjoyed it. We split the Penne Vodka and it was fantastic!! The noodles tasted extremely fresh and the sauce was a perfect balance. Drinks -- got a glass wine that was excellent and a prosecco negroni that was top notch! Dessert -- rolled with the tiramisu and it great! Was tough to choose between the many choices, but it was gone fast! Service -- good overall. Our main waiter who took our order didn't quite tend to us aster initial order, but another waiter made up the difference. Great recommendations and helpful. Vibe -- pretty modern vibe that wasn't married to the old school setup. More space with seating the other locale we visited. Overall -- excellent stop which has excellent Italian dishes, cool vibe, and good service!!
Came here on a whim, and I couldn't be happier. The staff were very attentive, and we never had to go out of our way for service. The menu is expansive and full of delicious options. I went for the classic lasagna, and it was divine. Drinks are very strong, be sure to ask for happy hour options! After asking for the rest of my meal to go ( portions are quite generous!), my group opted to have dessert. I went with the Tiramasu, and this is hands down the best Tiramasu I've ever had. If you're in the area, be sure to stop by!
Very nice and cozy place. If the weather is nice, have a table outside. Had the best lobster ravioli, absolutely delicious. Also took a few bites off my girlfriend’s carbonara, which was equally amazing. We were happy to have Ayman at our table and felt very welcomed. One of the best meals we had in our trip to NY!! 👏👏
L’Amore is a true gem in NYC. The atmosphere is warm and romantic, the service is attentive and welcoming, and the food is absolutely delicious. A perfect spot for a special night or an unforgettable meal. Highly recommend.
Started with appetizers, where the amount for a group was more than enough. Salads were great; seafood was abundant. Pasta plates where huge and sufficient. The service was very helpful.
Food was very nice, we had 2 pasta dishes which were lovely and a great pizza. The staff were very friendly and made us and our young children feel welcome, even gave us some chocolates at the end! Great food!
My favorite restaurant, the best in little italy! Food was incredible, we got the pasta and pizza and both were delicious. Everything was so fresh and the ambiance of the restaurant was great. One of my go too restaurants I keep coming back to.
A true authentic Italian experience! I came with visitors from Italy and they approved of the food and the service. The Chef was especially personal, spending time with our party and recommending delicious food. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!
Best Italian food in little Italy. My husband and I make food a priority when we travel. The pasta was great and The lasagna he had was so good I stole some for myself. Definitely worth a visit.
While I was walking down the streets of Little Italy looking for a place to eat, Ayman immediately captured my friend’s and I’s attention with his very delicious menu and likable personality. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were very nice. The sauce on the lobster ravioli was amazing and so was the pizza. Def would recommend.
If I could rate It higher I would. MUST HAVE The food is absolutely incredible. The lobster ravioli is the best I’ve ever had ever! And I’ve tried over 100 Italian restaurants all over the country. The lasanga was amazing, classic. (Came back the next day for It). The service is exceptional. Late or early. They remember you and they take care of you. But really the flavors here are absolutely amazing. It’s exactly what you expect from an Italian restaurant and how It should be. Homemade pasta and the sauce and lasagna.
Tried it again…. Just to make sure. AGAIN - did not disappoint! Fantastic food great service. So, picked this place because it was well reviewed, with just cause!!!! I was set on the chicken francese but saw a couple of pence vodka walking in. Vincent our waiter said “ I got you” - half of each was one of the better meals I have had. Coming again next time I’m in nyc.
I can’t wait to come back! They were extremely kinda and accommodating. Walter and Vincent were amazing to have they made it feel like home. Walter’s suggestions were TOP NOTCH everything was fresh and he knew the best pairings. He made me and my family feel like we were his own. Chef Marcos cooking is to die for you can tell Marco loves his craft. 10/10 we can’t wait to come back.
The food was amazing, and the drinks were pretty strong, which is exactly how I like them! lol. Great service, I was looking for Italian food, and I’m completely satisfied.
The food here was absolutely incredible! The pizza was flawless — perfectly crisp on the crust, with a rich, flavorful sauce and just the right amount of gooey cheese. Every slice felt satisfying and indulgent without being heavy. The homemade gnocchi was an absolute standout. Light, pillowy, and cooked to perfection, each bite melted in my mouth, showcasing a depth of flavor that was truly unforgettable. It easily ranks as the best gnocchi I’ve ever had. Beyond the dishes themselves, the service elevated the entire experience. Attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, the staff made the meal feel effortless and enjoyable from start to finish. It’s rare to find a place where every element — the food, the hospitality, and the atmosphere — comes together so seamlessly. I left fully satisfied and already dreaming of my next visit.
Came here for a birthday and had a fantastic dinner. If you want to try real Italian cuisine that feels like you went to Italy, come here. Compliments to the chef and the staff for being kind and making it a great dinner. Their pastas are really good and different from other Italian places in the neighborhood. I absolutely recommend this restaurant.
Excellent experience in Little Italy, Restaurant L’amore The food was delicious from start to finish, with authentic flavors and great quality. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The service was outstanding—attentive, fast, and very friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Definitely a place I would return to and highly recommend if you’re in the area.
This is a DELICIOUS place. I tried several on Little Italy, but this one is a gem. Must go. It worth every single penny. This is my second time in NYC, the first time, I got here because of the Google ratings and it was like I got the lottery. My kids are really picky eaters and they love the pasta. The homemade lasagna is a MUST, trust me, it will blow your mind. The second time I visited, I ordered pizza and again it blew my mind, it was just delicious. The atmosphere is just beautiful, just like you see it in movie, Italian style and music, even the people from the restaurant speaks in Italian and have that Italian accent and you really feel you are like in a Godfather movie 😃
My family and I visited New York again and this time, we wanted to try out some good Italian. Do not overlook this hidden gem! Absolutely delicious, flavorful and amazing food. True authentic Italian! Phenomenal service! Molto Bene!! Recommend the Polo L’Amore(the gargonzola sauce 😍), Eggplant Parm, Chicken Parm, Chicken Marsala. 😋 Thanks L’Amore for a PHENOMENAL dinner!
Perfect as always! This place is amazing and the staff makes you feel like family. We’re locals and this is our go-to spot! Prices are amazing and food is excellent. Don’t waste your time with anywhere else in little Italy! Make this a stop on your itinerary. The chicken piccata is my favorite, but I’ve had several more items and they never miss!
An absolutely incredible experience again! The chef always shows out with his spectacular dishes. Service is the best in little Italy and it feels like home and you are treated as family. I feel like I just went on a trip to Italy, that authentic, that fresh, and that delicious. I highly recommend this place
A Perfect Thanksgiving Dinner in Little Italy!!! We chose L’Amore Restaurant after the Thanksgiving Macy’s Parade because of their wonderful reviews, and we are so glad we did. Even with so many restaurants available, L’Amore delivered everything we hoped for—and more. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was exactly what we wanted. The music, décor, and charming Italian design made us feel like we were truly dining in Italy. The owner/manager was incredibly attentive and detail-oriented in how he welcomed and hosted his guests. His warmth made us feel right at home, and that meant so much to us as we were celebrating our family Thanksgiving dinner there. L’Amore is the perfect example of a mom-and-pop restaurant that pours heart into everything they do. We can’t wait to come back!
I had an amazing experience at L’Amore Ristorante! The lobster ravioli was absolutely delicious rich, flavorful, and easily one of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time. The service was just as impressive. Our host, Alberto, set the tone from the moment we walked in. He was welcoming, attentive, and made the whole experience feel special. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food and top-tier service!
Best Italian food in NYC! The chicken piccata is INSANE! My husband had the lobster ravioli and I kept sneaking some from his plate. He and I had their lunch special and our ticket was SO INEXPENSIVE. Incredible service & wait staff, friendly interactive chef, and blissful environment. This is our new local spot! Would give 10000/10 if I could!
Truthfully the best food I’ve ever had. I was grateful to be able to thank Chef Marco for the delicious meal. I had goosebumps with each bite. And the tiramisu is the best I’ve ever tasted. The servers are wonderful and the restaurant itself is homey and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant when visiting Little Italy.
What a wonderful experience! Chef Marco’s food was beyond delicious — you can truly taste the love in every bite. The manager was warm, attentive, and gave me amazing recommendations that made the meal even better. The waiters were also friendly and professional, always making sure I had everything I needed. I’ll absolutely be coming back — 10/10!
Pretty decent espresso martini. The pasta was drowning in sauce, which made it super heavy. The bruschetta toast was way too crunchy and kind of took away from the toppings. The meatballs were just okay—honestly, I was hoping for better since it’s an Italian spot.
Service and atmosphere were good. Two out of the three cups at our table used for water were dirty which was a bit concerning. Food was fine as well but I’ve definitely had better… + Shrimp scampi is a nice and simple dish with subtle flavors + Calamari was crisp and fresh - Carbonara was overloaded with sauce - Bolognese was mid
I felt like the food here was lovely, the lobster ravioli was really good and my husband really enjoyed the chicken parmigiana. The food was rich and flavorful. The only pet peeve of mine was that they gave us a dinner menu during lunch time and we had to ask for the lunch menu where the prices were significantly more affordable. They did also come with a 18% gratuity built in! Make sure you read that before tipping extra
Wife and I came here while on vacation and figured we would order a pizza to share. The waiter was really nice but told us the pizza was small and we should probably order two. So we ordered two pizzas and when they came out they were bigger than expected based on his description. Sure I could eat the whole thing and be fine if we weren’t doing anything the rest of the day but considering we were walking all over the city it was definitely too much food. Which that’s on me I probably should have trusted my instinct. The pizzas were good, the crust was very good. If you are planning on doing what we did and walk around the city after eating. I’d suggest sharing a meal.
Amazing Italian food in little Italy. I had the best falling off the bone veal I have ever had; the youngest daughter ate half my meal, lol. Risotto and sauce makes me drool think off it now. Everyone cleaned the plate. Service was a young kid we had to wave down a couple of times, but good. Atmosphere was very home-like, he makes you feel like your visiting family. Try it, you will love it.
Food was good- portion size was amazing, especially for NY. The Linguine Vongole had ample clams and a huge portion of linguine. I was hoping for a bit more garlic as it was a little bland, but still good. The Caesar Salad was also huge, but it was drowning in dressing. Fortunately the dressing was great, but get it on the side if you don’t like your salad over-dressed. The spaghetti carbonara was delicious, again a sizeable portion. We finished with the Tiramisu which was recommended. As expected it was delicious- good balance of flavor. The service was excellent.
First time at L'Amore and it was exactly what I wanted—warm, welcoming, and delicious. The gnocchi were pillowy and the sauce was perfect. Korra was so sweet and made the whole experience feel special. Highly recommend for anyone craving classic Italian comfort food!
We went here with friends who had booked this restaurant for us. The food was forgettable, nothing bad but no flavor or seasoning besides butter and cheese to be honest. It’s in a touristy part of town (little Italy) and you could maybe stop for a quick meal if you are in that part of town and really hungry and can’t find reservations anywhere. But I won’t recommend this to any one who knows their food. The service was polite and quick.
Let me start by saying for an Italian res in little Italy to use fake olive oil is a big no, the oil they have on tables no way on eart has any olive oil and if it does it’s mixes with some kinda. Vegetable oil or something,Calamari was really good pizza was good as far as sauce and good quality cheese, the crust not all that, service wasn’t good at all tho, they didn’t check on us not once, maybe because tip is already included
The reason for three stars: 1. They judge book by cover, all were provided with napkins where we were given paper napkins. 2. The welcoming guest or calling from the road is respectful but leaving no one cares. 3. Doesnt give you much time or explain properly. 4. Over hyped, the prices not to bad however clearer notice would be good
The place was empty on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered cheese sticks $16 for four-they were greasy and personal pizza's $26 each, peperoni was okay. I also ordered a house salad but could not eat it all due to it being old. As a first-time NYC Tourist, I would not recommend this place as a first option.
We thought the food was good. We ordered the clams and they were super tasty. Steak was a good portion with lots of veggies. I don't know if it's authentic Italian or not, but we liked it. The only issue I had was that they had tacked on a 3% convenience fee that was not mentioned before. It was only taken off when I brought it up and that we were paying cash. I feel like the fee is a cash grab and somewhat marred our experience. I suggest they either just reflect that in the price of food or not have it altogether as it doesn't look good.
Stopped in for a late night dinner and was excited to try a traditional Italian restaurant. Our server was a super nice older gentleman. We said we wanted the frutti di mare and he recommended a ‘special’ that they were having with lobster and frutti di mare for 2. We thought why not? No price was ever discussed which is partly my fault for not asking. The frutti di mare by the menu is $41. If you double that for 2 it’s $82. Then if you add a lobster you get however much. But again…the server said it was a ‘deal’ or a ‘special’. There wasn’t anything special about the price of this ‘special’ as when the bill came we were charged $110 for this meal plus the $15 for the bruschetta altogether we paid $162 and walked away feeling duped and taken advantage of. If we would have known the price before hand we would have never ordered the meal. Just be careful not to get taken advantage of as we just were. Food was truthfully an 8/10 and absolutely delicious. Service and atmosphere 3/5 stars because of how we were taken advantage of. Actual table service was great with great attention paid to our glasses and tidiness of the table.
Sadly disappointed with our meal. It was our one treat meal out on our trip, service was great but the food was just ok. Expectations were very high and just too many disappointments. We ordered a salad which was decent, nothing amazing, pappardelle bolognese and pizza. The noodles were fantastic but the bolognese sauce sadly reminded us of chef boyardee, almost exactly. The pizza again was decent, but nothing extraordinary. I guess what topped off the disappointment was the automatic 18% gratuity, and a $3 service fee, for no idea what? If we were a large party I’d understand, but it was only my wife and I.
We chose L’Amore for lunch hoping for a relaxed Little Italy experience. The restaurant was not busy at the time, and while the service was polite, we did feel rushed during our meal. When a restaurant isn’t busy, allowing guests to enjoy their time a bit more can really help the place feel welcoming rather than empty. The food was okay—pleasant but not particularly memorable—especially considering the prices, which felt on the expensive side for the overall experience. One thing to note is that a convenience fee was added to the bill, which we weren’t expecting. Overall, it was a decent stop, but it didn’t quite have the warm, leisurely atmosphere we were hoping for during lunch.
I went to this place on christmas and it was cozy vibes inside. I ordered the calamari to start and i have to say this is my worst experience with calamari. The calamari was hard and thin and the portion size was just disappointing. I also ordered a pepperoni pizza, pappardelle bolognese, and a tartufo. The pizza could’ve been more charred but it was good and the pasta was pretty good. The tartufo however y also disappointing, it had a flavor of smth else which i couldn’t distinguish and was honestly not worth it. The service was nice although there is an automatic 18% gratuity. I dont know if i would come back but if you guys ate planning to come do NOT order the calamari and tartufo.
The place is pleasant, the food ranges from good to very good, but the service is a scam. We sat down for lunch, and when it was time to pay, they charged us using the dinner menu, which is at least 20% more expensive. When we pointed it out, they treated us poorly. In the end, they charged us the correct amount, but with an attitude as if they were doing us a favor. We definitely won’t be coming back.
My family and I were visiting from AZ and this is not authentic Italian. Hostess in front definitely got us inside thinking the food would be authentic or “hand made” but - no. Alfredo sauce lacked flavor + had almost no salt (sad to say I would have rather had Olive Garden), pizza was nothing special was very greasy on top and bottom, pasta did not taste hand made at all, and table we were seated at was so small. Was not spacious for a family of >5 people. Will definitely be trying a different place during our next visit to NY. Disappointing as it was expensive especially after every add-on to a dish.
0 Stars - Earlier today, 2/9, around lunchtime, five coworkers and I went to L’amore Restaurant to celebrate a coworker’s birthday. What should have been a simple, happy lunch turned into one of the most horrifying dining experiences I’ve ever had. After taking only two bites of my cheese ravioli, I immediately noticed the texture was off. Then I felt it, a snap and crunch in my mouth. I spit the bite back onto my plate and was horrified to see half of a waterbug or large cockroach mixed in with my food. Using my fingers, I pulled what was still in my mouth out onto the plate and found roach legs, part of the head, and a visible antenna. I had already swallowed part of it. Yes. I ingested part of a waterbug. My coworkers inspected the plate and confirmed exactly what I feared. This wasn’t a mistake. It was absolutely a large waterbug. We immediately alerted the waiter. His response? He looked at the plate, then looked at me in a way that strongly suggested he believed we planted it ourselves. No concern. No apology. No “are you okay?” He simply grabbed the plate and walked away to the back. That reaction alone was almost as disturbing as the roach itself. We all stood up and left immediately, completely disgusted and unable to even consider eating anywhere else after what we had just experienced. Our coworker’s birthday celebration was completely ruined. And in hindsight, it all makes sense. When we first arrived, a worker was standing outside begging people to come in. Against our better judgment, we gave the place a chance. This is what we got. The irony? The bathroom was sparkling clean. Maybe the kitchen could use even half of that level of attention. If you’re thinking about eating here, do yourself a favor and stay far away. The sanitary conditions are clearly questionable, but even worse is the complete lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic care for customers. This place doesn’t just serve food, it serves disgust. Steer clear.
I usually don’t even bother writing reviews, but this place forced me to warn others before they waste their hard-earned money. I’ve tried momo, chowmein, biryani from countless places, but THIS? This was absolute garbage. For the price they charge, you’d expect at least edible food—but what they served tasted like something thrown together without care, flavor, or freshness. Honestly, McDonald’s for a fraction of the price would have been 100 times better. And let’s talk about the price… $60 down the drain for food that didn’t just disappoint—it felt like a scam. The flavors were off, the quality was trash, and nothing was worth even half of what they charged. Save yourself the regret. Save your money. If you’re craving good momo, chowmein, or biryani, literally ANY other place would be better. Eating here is not just a waste—it’s an insult to your taste buds. 💀 FINAL VERDICT: Don’t walk, RUN away from this place.
I have never had such a bad restaurant experience. The waiter — likely the owner — didn’t even greet us. Instead, we were laughed at for not ordering drinks. The food was slammed onto the table without a word. At the neighboring table, a completely wrong dish was served. While we were still eating, my girlfriend’s plate was taken away with the last bite still on it. Without any request or comment, the bill was suddenly thrown onto the table. The restrooms were disgusting and clearly not cleaned. I have never experienced such a disrespectful and unpleasant way of treating guests. Absolutely not recommended.
There was a really bad smell in the restaurant and the food is so overpriced for the quality and what you get. We paid $17 for four mozzarella sticks that tasted like they were frozen and then deep fried. We ordered four pasta dishes with chicken, a salad, and mozzarella sticks and ended with a $250 bill. The pasta were bland and watery and my friend got a really upset stomach. We were really excited to try Italian food in little Italy however felt very disappointed in our experience.
