Delicious pastries and well done cappuccino.
Wonderful place that I frequent. Great coffee, great food and friendly service. I recommend the Vietnamese sandwich (bahn mi) or the french onion soup! Their pastries are delicious and so fresh. Nice outdoor seating, complete with a hut. Mainly I’m posting to add these photos of their pastry flavor menus for myself :)
Delicious food, and excellent wine choices. Very good for lighter food, soup and a salad, and has a to-go area with espresso drinks and good pastries. Bathrooms are clean and accessible, this is good for morning through evening meet ups or food to go. Not good for work, they do not allow computers, go elsewhere for that.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I had the omelet and it was delicious. They also have really good desserts and coffee.
Excellent pastries and light fare. A great place to grab a quick bite. I loved their almond cake - just melts in the mouth.
This is a wonderful little French restaurant. Up front is a cafe with excellent coffee and classic french pastries. In the back a deceptively large dinning area with a cozy inviting atmosphere. The fireplace gives the feel that you're eating in someone's home and it's quite inviting. The food is always excellent, delicious french fare that is always plated beautifully. A great place to have a taste of France.
Truly some of the nicest staff in NYC - their menu is GREAT and they have a verity of vegetarian options for us no-meat people. The omelet was VERY fresh. We happen to be sitting and enjoying our meal when an elderly woman (on her way to dine at the cafe) had fallen and 4 of the staff ran to help her. They were really kind (which should always be the case). One of the waitresses, Iris, was so kind she even gave me two macarons for assisting in the matter- and WOW they were incredible. I'll definitely be back.
The menu choices at this place are clean, healthy (mostly!), and delicious, and the presentation is good. The main dining area has a skylight, which means it feels airy and light like a French cafe should. It can be a bit loud when it is full, but the food is too beautiful to interrupt with much conversation, anyway! (Getting quiche and pastries to go is also a tasty (and speedy) option.)
Ambiance (5/5): Lovely little café with indoor and outdoor seating. Some serviced seating as well as order at the front and sit yourself space as well. The bright colors and openness gives the café a lot of charm. There's foreign products along the inside of the store (not sure if they can be purchased). Service (5/5): The staff was super friendly and struck conversations while we dined (not forcefully so). They have regulars with dogs who come to visit and love the staff too. They were quick to attend to us. We would have sat for longer but we were politely told to give up our table at around the hour mark to seat a bigger party :( Food: Eggs Benedict (5/5): The $23 plate came with a nicely dressed salad with veggie variety and well done fries that were cooked with the perfect crunch! The eggs benedict hollandaise sauce was a bit too tart for my preference but otherwise cooked with a perfect runny poached egg. My friend had their crepe that looked pretty good. Definitely will want to return to try the rest of their menu!
What a cute spot! Everything we ordered was delicious. (Honestly, maybe the most tender steak I've ever had.) The restaurant itself is intimate, quaint, and cozy. They have a little storefront/cafe where you can buy cookies, macarons, and other cafe commodities in the front and then restaurant seating in the back. It was a charming experience from beginning to end.
Came here with my family for Brunch. I ordered the Croissant du Moulin, which was pretty standard - egg, bacon and cheese sandwiches in a croissant, with a side salad. The side salad was kind of bland, but it was fine. Overall, it tasted like something one can get from a deli, nothing special. I also tried some of the omelette and lamb sausages (which I really liked actually) from other plates. The main attractor of the place is definitely it's cozy atmosphere and wonderful service! The employees are super welcoming, which makes it a fun spot.
Le Moulin a Cafe, cute french bistro , serves various variety of pastry and macarons and serves wonderful brunch menu croque madame was delicious and fried egg hit the palette with a side of salad and vinaigrette balanced the becemel. Also Le burger Du moulin( sirloin burger)cooked as requested with side of fries and Earl gray tea. If your in the area give this cafe a try, your palette won't disappoint.
It is a cute cafe with a nice interior and lots of space at the back. The food is decent but not exceptional. I have had way better croissants. The price is rather high for this type of brunch restaurant and I can think of many other places in UES that I would rather go.
I’d love to give this place five stars because there’s clearly been a lot of care go into crafting a lovely space, but as spacious, clean and comfortable as it is, I was disappointed by two things today. One is, please do not charge $13 for a “fruit plate” with only melon and a couple of grapes. Honestly. The second thing was the attitude of our server, Alberto. He was very pushy, rather rude and made us feel like we weren’t able to relax, frankly ruining our experience.
Over priced and not very authentic. Brittany buckwheat crêpe looked more like a burrito. (See picture. Google what it should look like.) Avocado toast with fried egg was under par for over $20. It was over $160 (before tip) for 5 people. They included a tip AND they trick you and ask for another tip when you pay. Take note of your receipt!!!
Rude and expensive. I tried the Éclaire au chocolat which was tiny vs traditional sized ones and at $6.50 was too expensive. As to quality is was good but nothing more. I noticed many other pastries were similarly mini sized vs other bakeries in Paris or NYC. As a reviewer I was taking pictures until someone came up to me and ordered me to stop taking pictures which is their right as business owners however he made it sound like we we were in North Korea and I was taking pictures of a military base!! That fits other reviews of rude service. The place looks cute and inviting however not for me anymore. Of note they don’t accept Amex and for disabled access there is a step to enter the cafe so they might have a ramp for wheelchair access but I don’t know. I hope you have a better experience than I did.
I very rarely leave bad reviews but I was so disappointed in this cafe. Food took over an hour to arrive at our table despite ordering soup and a pre made quiche. They didn’t provide any explanation for the delay, nor were we given anything to address this. Pea soup was watery and bland. Felt like it was poured from a supermarket box. The quiche was good but also not fully cooked the way a quiche should be. I will not be returning.
