Maestro Pasta is everything you hope a classic New York Italian restaurant will be. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is attentive without ever feeling rushed. The pasta is exceptional, made fresh in plain sight, clearly made with care and respect for tradition. Every dish we tried was perfectly balanced, rich in flavor, and thoughtfully prepared. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the pride that goes into the kitchen. I highly recommend the polenta fries to start! It’s the kind of place that reminds you why Italian food done the right way never goes out of style. Whether you’re visiting the city or a local looking for a reliable favorite, Maestro Pasta delivers consistently and beautifully. Highly recommend and absolutely worth returning to.

What a great spot!! My wife and I often enjoy trying new (to us) pasta spots and this one has probably been the best so far. I had the Pasticciata and Lasagna, for which the Pasticciata gets the spotlight, it is creamy and very flavorful, it was so good I barely took breaths between each bite. My wife had the Cacio e Pepe and burrata salad, the Cacio e Pepe was also very very good, it may have a slight upper hand over everything else we ordered, great taste, creamy and overall just incredible. Most definitely will be returning and recommend you give it a try!

Maestro Pasta in New York is pure magic — a slice of Italy right in the heart of the city! The hospitality is warm, genuine, and makes you feel instantly at home. And the food? Absolutely phenomenal — come a casa. It was so irresistible that I went back four times in just one week! This place is a must-visit for anyone who loves Italian cuisine.

An excellent dining experience from start to finish. The food was authentically Italian and done really well. The interior decor adds a great atmosphere, and the staff were outstanding — enthusiastic, warm, and genuinely welcoming. Will definitely be back next time we’re in the US!

Delicious food, became one of my fav go to places in the city when I’m in the mood for pasta. The owner seems to really take his pasta seriously. Servers can sometimes make you feel rushed when taking your order, but they are not necessarily rude. I don’t take it to heart that much. Just know what you want before you get there. Food is always prepared with care and that’s what I really appreciate about the place.

Second time at this gem! Fantastic food (we have been to Italy a lot) and service. Haven’t had better pasta in the city. Highly recommend and will come back again and again. Thank you ❤️

I had only passed by before, but finally stopped in for dinner on a weekday afternoon. It was impressive to see the handmade pasta being prepared right in front of us. With both table and bar seating, it also feels like a good place to come alone. I ordered the Puttanesca and a glass of white wine, the portion was generous enough that I couldn’t finish and had to take the rest to go. The noodles were a bit thicker than I usually prefer, but overall I really enjoyed the meal.

Wonderful food after hitting the NYC with 2 kids we needed a great homemade meal. The service was friendly and the kids loved the swing benches :) We were cold and starving , fresh homemade pasta hit the spot. Lovely atmosphere, sweet staff with a great sense of humor:)

Went in expecting a good meal, but boy were we blown away! Each pasta was flavorful & bold. The Cacio a Pepe was one of the bests I’ve had. The service— incredible! Marco is an absolute gem! If the food had been mids we would come back for him alone. TY NY 💘💘

Staff is EXTREMELY kind and informative!!!! The food is FANTASTIC, AUTHENTIC & made to order!!!! They have adorable swings to sit on while enjoying your delightful meal. The staff also makes you feel as though you’re family. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back the next time we are in the city!!

This place really delivers on both food and vibe. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by the sight of fresh pasta being made right in front of you — the guy working the pasta machine is actually the same one you’ll see in a bunch of their Google photos and videos on Google maps reviews. It’s a fun, unique touch that sets the tone right away. Inside, the atmosphere is warm and cozy with string lights that add a nice glow. The service was genuinely great — super friendly staff who made the whole experience feel welcoming. Now for the coolest part: some of the seats are actually swings. Yep, actual swings hanging from the ceiling. It’s a really fun idea, but heads up — if you want to sit on those, definitely make a reservation. We didn’t, so we ended up at a regular table (still comfy though). As for the food: excellent across the board. The Bolognese was a standout, but honestly, every pasta we tried — red sauces, white sauces, different noodle types — was on point. Fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Would happily go back — just with a reservation next time so we can snag those swing seats.

Amazing authentic Italian food. Alessandro is warm and welcoming and the food truly is a meal like you have never experienced!!! You will not be disappointed! We can’t wait to come back. The coziness of the tables and swings are so unique and inviting.

Got the Cacio e Pepe and it was unreal :) super creamy, perfectly al dente, exactly how I love it. The focaccia was fluffy inside, crispy outside, totally addictive. Chill vibe, friendly service… honestly, can’t wait to go back.

Truly an amazing pasta spot! Ordered the cacio e pepe and it was out of this world. Pasta was perfectly al dente and sauce was creamy but not too rich. Owner came by to check on us and was very kind!

I just had a fantastic dining experience with my husband and our adult daughter at Maestro! Alessandro and his team are terrific - they all made us feel so welcome. The food is delicious - we could see our pastas cut just before serving (which is special and unique) and exactly as we requested. The portions are generous and the wines were great. The atmosphere is great - beautifully decorated with an energetic feel yet still easy to talk and hear just our table. We loved Maestro so much that we are now planning some private parties there. Maestro Pasta is a true gem!

We were in New York for two days and decided to visit this restaurant. Everything was very delicious. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the service was excellent. Even though we were a large group, everything was well organized and attentive. The owner personally took great care of us, which made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming, like home. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back.

My son and I walked into Maestro Pasta for a quick bite with no expectations and we were very pleasantly surprised when we were promptly seated at the bar and taken care of in a warm friendly atmosphere like we eat there every night. The surprise of this restaurant is that it is in a very touristy neighborhood, yet it has the feeling like a restaurant you could eat at regularly and always be satisfied/delighted with your food. We had such a nice experience. The menu was full of pleasant surprises and yummy choices. The service was friendly, available, pleasant, and proud of the beautiful food that they were making and serving. I look forward to going back and taking my GF, starting with the artichoke appetizer as a nice prelude to the homemade pasta.

Simply excellent! I got the Pav Bhaji (extra Pav of course!) and Aam Panna. It’s medium spicy to taste with perfect balance of spices! I would ask for extra butter next time and also the bread to be a little less toasted. I like it a little softer. Ralin was amazing! Great customer service and the ambiance was warm! Great date night spot!!

The food was exceptionally flavorful and well-balanced, with clear attention to quality ingredients and presentation. A great place for some great food. Open late which is always a plus. Food is fresh. Love the box it comes with. Got the samosa chaat and saag Chana. Both were great. Got roti and rice with pickled onions. Also came with daal but not sure why I didn’t like this daal. Seemed watered down but it came with it so I wasn’t bothered. Definitely the saag Chana was a hit. Will be coming back.

Omg I loved this place. So cute and trendy and clean inside. The sweetest staff ever. So patient explaining everything they have. We got thumbs up soda which is an indian coke and the best mango lassi in nyc. Thick and sweet n tasty. I will say all the sauces were fantastic. The vada paav sandwich came with 2. The bread toasted and vegetarian potato patties were outstanding. Get the sauces and pour it on. Epic food. The spicy paneer bhurji roll outstanding. Tasty with the fresh green sauce. The Kathi bread phenomenal. Every is made to order and quality. Every ingredient and texture is tasted. The shrimp tikka masala box 10 out of 10. I ordered with the bread roll, rice and onions. Huge portions here. The shrimp fresh and sauce was buttery n sweet. The chicken seekh kebab was outrageous in every good way. Huge, fresh and flavorful. I saw them making it in the back. That came with a light green sauce rice and bread too. Yummy. So much heart and quality in every bite. Will definitely be ordering to go and or deliver but I’d come in again. They are open late. Ten out of ten! Not greasy or salty. Just perfect.

Masala Times is where NYC meets Mumbai 🇮🇳✨ Bold spices, smoky kebabs, and street food flavors that hit every single time. Located in the heart of Greenwich Village, this spot brings the true taste of India straight to NYC streets. The Chicken Acari Kebab? So tender it melts in your mouth. The Chicken Tikka Masala box? Comfort in every bite. And the Shrimp Biryani? Packed with flavor that keeps you coming back. 🍤🔥 Perfect for late-night cravings (open till 4 AM on weekends!) or a midweek comfort food fix. Service is quick, the staff is friendly, and the Bollywood vibes make the whole experience even better.

woke up with a crazy craving for indian food and ended up at masala times. cashier was super friendly and helpful explaining any part of the menu and giving recommendations based on your taste. a tiny bit of a wait and not necessarily cheap depending on the dish, but WORTH IT, the portions are sizable and satisfying with amazing, authentic flavor!! i will be back 😤

Been wanting to try some quick bites here for a while now. Finally had the chance! Easy self serve kiosk to order your food. Got the vada pav and tandoori mushroom roll. Amazing spice mix in the roll, felt like I was back in Mumbai! The vada pav was just like any other Indian takeout. They also gave us soda on the house for making us wait longer than usual! I’d say spice levels are mediocre (even “spicy”), for someone with a decent heat tolerance. Price point is great for the quality and quantity. Def recommend the roll and I’ll be back to try the paneer/dal combo.

this Indian spot in Greenwich seriously delivers! If you’re craving authentic Indian food that hits all the right notes, you have to check this place out. We started with a Mango Lassi and Aam Panna, and both were incredibly refreshing. The keema pav was rich and satisfying, and the achari kati roll packed bold, tangy flavor in every bite. Definitely a standout! We also tried the Chicken Tikka Masala, and it was amazing — the chicken was super tender, and the curry was creamy, rich, and perfectly spiced. The biryani — absolutely mind-blowing! Perfectly spiced, aromatic, and blended beautifully. Finding good biryani is tough, but this place nailed it. Highly recommend if you’re in the area — come hungry!

Tried the Paneer Bhurji combo platter, which came with dal, rice, and paratha—though the paratha was flour-based rather than wheat-based, which is the norm at most other restaurants. The chaat papdi appetizer didn’t look too appealing, so we skipped it. We also ordered the Paneer Tikka Roll, which was more like a Kathi roll, and tasted very good. The Paneer burjhi was on the sweet side owing to cream used in its preparation. Overall, the food was good, not very different compare to other restaurants except for the yellow dal, which tasted quite good.

Masala Time in Greenwich Village near NYU's campus is an absolute gem, and I can't recommend it enough, especially if you're craving a late-night bite with authentic and flavorful Indian street food. What truly sets this place apart is the fact that they’re open till 4 am, which makes it the perfect spot to grab a delicious meal during sehri time—whether you're winding down from a night out or looking for something satisfying in the early morning hours. The ambiance of Masala Time is warm and welcoming, with an authentic vibe that immediately transports you to the bustling streets of India. It's cozy, with a relaxed atmosphere that invites you to linger and savor the diverse offerings on their menu. The best part? Their commitment to serving halal meat options, with the exception of their chicken tikka. This is a huge plus for those of us who are particular about halal food choices, and it's comforting to know that they prioritize quality and integrity in their offerings. We decided to try a variety of items, starting with the Kathi rolls and box specials. The Kathi rolls were bursting with flavor, each bite offering a perfect balance of spices, tender meats, and fresh ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the Chicken Malai Kathi Roll, which was rich and creamy with a delicate blend of spices that made it incredibly satisfying. The chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy, wrapped in a soft, warm paratha. If you're into grilled meat, the Chicken Malai from the grill is also a must-try. It's marinated to perfection, with smoky flavors and a soft texture that practically melts in your mouth. Next, we had the Unda Bhurji, which was a flavorful scrambled egg dish with a rich, spiced gravy. The eggs were fluffy and the spices were spot on—just enough heat and flavor to make each bite irresistible. It's a comforting dish that pairs beautifully with naan or any of their bread options. The Paav Bhaji was another standout. This street food classic was well-seasoned, and the mashed vegetable mix had a perfect combination of textures. Paired with the buttered paav (bread), it was a deliciously indulgent treat that I couldn’t get enough of. The Samosa Chaat was another highlight of our meal. If you’re a fan of chaat, this dish is a must-have! The samosas were crispy, and the combination of spicy, tangy, and sweet chutneys over the crispy pastry created a delightful burst of flavors in every bite. It was a perfect appetizer or snack to share. What really impressed me about Masala Time was the variety of dishes available. Whether you’re in the mood for something grilled, fried, or comforting, they’ve got you covered. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure our experience was smooth from start to finish. And even though they were serving late into the night, everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. In summary, Masala Time is a hidden gem near NYU that offers a wide range of mouth-watering Indian street food. Whether you're there for a late-night snack or a full meal, you can count on the quality of the food and the convenience of their late hours. The Kathi rolls, Unda Bhurji, Chicken Malai, and Samosa Chaat were just a few of the standout items we tried, but everything we had was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Don’t miss out on this spot—it’s definitely worth a visit!

An impeccable experience from start to finish! Ever since moving to New York, myself and my husband needed to find a Desi place that hit the spot! This was in! From the starters to mains to the sweet dessert and the mango lassi…WOW! The taste, the spices…unbelievable! The food is so full of flavour and so wholesome, it truly was a journey throughout the meal and we were absolutely blown away! The service was incredible and the place is so lovely with great music and it truly feels like you’re in a different world. This is a very special place and somewhere we will be visiting a lot!

Maestro Pasta is such a cute place. Very small with moderately limited seating, but I was able to walk right in and get a table for 2 at 7pm on a Saturday with no wait. It was so neat to see the pasta being made right in front of you, and the atmosphere is so great. The service was amazing, VERY quick to deliver the meal and drinks, and very friendly. I got an espresso martini which was very delicious (just note, it is more on the expensive side, almost the same price as my meal) but it was amazing. Unfortunately, I felt like my food (Bolognese with fettuccine noodles) was lacking. The portion size was great, definitely MORE than enough food for me (enough for 2 meals), but the taste was not was I was expecting. It was quite bland and underwhelming compared to the environment. Overall, this was a good place to visit and I had a good experience, I just wish my food was a bit more flavorful.

We were hungry and thirsty while walking down this street, and decided to eat here. Definitely worth it. They hand made their pasta in front of our eyes, and the sauces were creamy, flavorful, and great portions as well. The place is small, but looked like you stepped into a little bit of Italy. Waiters were incredibly friendly and nice, and served with efficiency. Would come here again, definitely worth it.

Fried Artichoke hearts was a great starter and the garlic aioli was great. Tiramisu was surprisingly dry but not the worst, not enough coffee flavor. Tartufo with fettuccine was the best pasta dish, Anolini Pasticciati filling was flavorless but the sauce was good. Tartufo focaccia was super filling and tasted great but it was really heavy, I didn’t expect so much cheese and sauce. Atmosphere was amazing, food was good, service was all right.
