Great food and service
So Fresh & So Goood! Mee dumplings are a true delight. Awesome veggie fried rice. Egg Foo Yung is highly addictive. Two thumbs up. (I never gush) 😋🍤❤️
Great food better people
Good noodles in NY. It very close to Thai style noodle.
Sadly, one can only give 5 💥💥💥💥💥 on Google Maps---if we could give more, this'd be the place that would get them. I loved Mee Noodle Shop when it existed on the very corner of 13th Street and 1st Avenue and was devastated when the building was condemned--what year was that?--and all seemed lost in the East Village without them. By the time they returned I was remarried, had two awesome, beautiful kids and this place became our home away from home--my younger kids liked dinosaurs when she was a baby and they still call her "Dinosaur." Anyway, I love the black bean tofu with hot hot sauce...and, we'd eat here every day.
fast and good. friendly waiters.
Their food is great
A wonderful neighborhood gem!
The spot for beat noodle soup ever
Best noodle duck soup in NYC
Beef fried rice was greasy.
Best chinese away from chinatiwn.
Very friendly. Delicious food. A bit expensive but Worth every penny
All of the food is outstanding! Especially the dumplings, a must visit when we are in NY!
The food is great there and so is the service.
This Place is awesome! It a nice small quaint family place. I love the service, food is always good! The waitress is hard at work making sure customers are kept comfortable, and not needing anything for long. Chuan is very attentive, and polite. Came down from the Bronx just to eat here again and take my Fiancé out to get the same great tastes I did. The Hot and Sour soup was banging! I love my baby shrimp and broccoli with egg fried rice!! <L21> The chicken and shrimp <L12> was great! GET THE HOUSE MADE MUSTARD!!!
Extremely fast delivery and very high quality experience every time. Been ordering 3x a week since I first tried a few weeks ago. The house chicken, lo mein and wonton soup are great. Excited to try the rest but can’t get enough of the house chicken. They never forget chopsticks/fortune cookies/noodle crackers either. 10/10 for Mee
I’ve only ever gotten take out here but did it religiously throughout the winter months. I have only gotten their soups which are just incredible. The Roast Duck and Chicken Soup are so good. The noodles are good no matter what you pick and I always add an extra egg for some more protein. The meat is bone in but I don’t mind because it is so damn good. The soups all come with this really tender baby bok choy and it is so comforting on a cold or rainy day. I’ve also had their wonton, egg drop and hot and sour soup which are all amazing choices when sick. No hassle, affordable, a go to for sure.
Food is fresh. Generous portions. Authentic.
I ordered delivery from them since I have been sick. This is the first meal I've had that didn't hurt my stomach in 3 days, & that I've also been able to keep down today. I feel so much better overall too after eating. I got 2 soups to help last me for awhile (portions are large), though I did try both today, which both were very good. If you would like a more flavorful soup, go for the pork with noodle. Delivery also came super quick, & delivery man was very friendly! Thank you so much!
Fast, friendly staff and an affordable lunch special yum
One of my favorite casual noodles spots. Try the roasted pork with thin noodles.
Good place, very good service. Good tea
One of the best places to find Chinese food in Nyc. Fresh food, tasty and reasonable prices. I love the place.
Superior/fresh sourced food. Well prepared. Unexpected suprise. Folks who live or work in that neighborhood are fortunate.
Great food in the east village -very warm staff. The decor is old school and interesting. Fast service, fresh noodles and vibrant vegetables. An excellent value.
Eat where Allen Ginsberg ate. Get the chow fun soy sauce chicken dry mix (dark meat). Thank me later.
I have never physically visited this store but I order delivery from them 4-5x a month. Always delicious, fresh tasting food. Dumpling soups are some of the best I’ve had and the lunch specials are a great value.
Definitely try this place. Good service every time, quick and courteous (only eat-in and take-out so far). The food has been high quality and very fresh every time. Large menu that I am working my way through. So far all the standard chinese food fare has been very good. Try the hot mustard.
My favorite Chinese restaurant. I have been eating here for decades. Thank you for being here. Food is always great.
It's a nice place to eat good soup.
Food is delicious! You can tell they make everything fresh! The staff is great at what they do and friendly!
The best spot for comfort Chinese food, with lunch specials that your stomach and your wallet will thank you for. This is a neighborhood reliable. Friendly service and quick food. Delivery, takeout, or dine in are all great options. Don’t miss it!
I've visited the uptown location before, but not the original. I was really satisfied with my food, especially the chow fun. Good service
Our kids (now in their 20s) grew up on Mee’s (the old location at 49th and 2nd). They know it’s us because we always add tofu to the chicken and broccoli!
This is the restaurant that my wife and I fantasize about living next to. The chow fun noodle soup with roasted duck is perfect. The prices are great. The service is quick and friendly. You couldn't ask for better.
Mee restaurant in lower Manhattan is an excellent place to have a meal.. price is very reasonable and delicious, waiter is gracious.. whenever anyone is in this area, please visit and stop
Great food and good service as always. Some of the best chinese food in the neighborhood.
A great place for authentic noodles. Great service, very friendly. Good prices and huge portions.
I’ve ordered from them since 2019 despite never going to their physical store. Every special instruction I’ve placed (separate noodles from soup, extra vegetables, etc) has been followed to the letter. Not sure why the recent reviews are negative, but for a place that’s always open late with cheap and good food, I think they should be better rated.
Very yummy and quick service! Very recommended!! 10/10!
Good food at fair prices. Great variety!
Chinese food thats consistently good, clean and friendly staff. We love the chicken soup and the variety of Dim sum. Portions for lunch menu are just enough. The prices are not outrageous. This location is consistently good and delivery is usually quick.
Server was very friendly and attentive! The tea they served when we first sat down was great too. The broccoli with garlic sauce is great! And the passionfruit smoothie is yummy (if you like icy-er smoothies)
Food is delicious and the owner is very nice! A very affordable places to dine in the union square area. You also get free fortune cookies! They also have lunch specials and it’s not crowded inside.
great chinese food, glad it's in the neighborhood
I’m a true regular to this place! 80% of the time, I’m exhausted from work and pick up food from mee noodles. 20% of the time, I dine in. It never disappoints!! An authentic local joint (that also have Americanized food if you are into it). But you know a place is authentic when they have white pepper on the table. You can’t have southern Chinese food without some good white pepper! My go to dish is always soup noodle with roasted duck and I get it with the wide rice noodles. So yummy! And it has vegetables in it for some health value. I speak Chinese with the workers here and they are all so lovely. I love my people 🥰. Yummy food and kind souls. And did I mention… very affordable prices? I hope that gentrification will never hit this place.
Super fresh and delicious food. Hidden gem for sure.
I’ve been coming here for years, usually for lunch when working in the area. Nice selection of lunch specials, great food and excellent service. They hit the mark with the Cantonese style noodle soups, my favorites are the Noodle with Roast Duck Soup and the Noodle & Cantonese Wonton. But my favorite is in their Vegetable section and is NOT vegetarian (neither am I, obviously). I know many of you meat eaters out there don’t even look at the Vegetable section of a Chinese restaurant menu, so don’t miss ordering the Dry Sautéed String Bean with Meat. The string beans are dry wok’d with salty and spicy ground pork. And it’s the perfect amount of spiciness, wow! Really, everything is delicious, you can’t go wrong. Highest recommendation.

Don’t let the transplants ruin this long standing gem!! Everything was delicious and I love the complimentary hot tea.
I love this dish, I really liked the flavor.
Was a regular at the midtown location. So sad to see them get pushed out of the neighborhood. I have not been able to visit the downtown location in person, but order from them at least once a week. My family refuses to eat any other Chinese takeout. The Fees that you pay on the online ordering platforms are ridiculous, but glad to at least have the option as I am apparently we are not in their regular delivery area.
One of my favorite noodle spots to visit when in the city. Love the family vibe, they always make you feel welcomed.
I have been coming to this restaurant since they opened over 30 years ago. They are still here because the food is great and for me, it’s just a small reminder of my childhood when I spent the few dollars in my pocket on lunch specials here regularly. There are a lot of options in the neighborhood but these are the types of small businesses that keep community alive. No doubt they are a top chinese food restaurant in the area. Thank you Mee staff!
Mee Noodle, hells yeah! In all fairness I never been inside and always ordered delivery and it was always good. Everything from duck to soups. Good comfort food!

Reasonable prices customer service is also very good
Okay food, fast service
Great food! Period!
Good lo mein, fresh, correctly cooked veggies - not too soft.
Great food, good prices.
Loved it. Great meal at a great price.
Ate from them twice now. Really liked their scallion pancakes with egg, one of the cheapest in the area on GrubHub. Second time it was overcooked and slightly burned though. I also had their pork chop with lo mein, the pork chops looked odd but tasted fine I was mostly disappointed with the lo mein which tasted like unseasoned spaghetti. It wasn't even fully covered in sauce, it was mostly white with no vegetables of meat in it. Very odd. Roasted duck and passion smoothie tasted great. The brown rice the duck came with had a few rice husks in it. Probably would get the scallion pancakes and roasted duck again but with white rice
We order from them all the time. Very quick to deliver. Reasonably priced. Decent food.
Decent Chinese spot, got a duck noodle bowl which was good but not amazing.
Great delivery place. We had food there about 20x and 90% of time it was as good as the previous time. Good price too. Would go there again
Nice place for better( than "hole in the wall places) Chinese Food and noodles.
Really tasty Chinese food. Definitely recommend the lo mein!
Reasonable chinese food here for decades.
Sometimes you just want hassle free, NYC style, inexpensive Chinese food in a no no no frills setting. Mee is that kind of spot. It moved out of my neighborhood when Covid shut it down, and I missed the roast soy chicken noodle soup that got me through the winter. I am happy as a clam that I can make a quick trek down to the East Village for a hot steamy bowl. The waiter is the best, he remembered me and what I liked. I've had other dishes as well but I mostly recommend the roast meat noodle soups. The duck soup is very good. Like I said, quick cheap eats, satisfying and good noodle soups!

Great authentic Chinese food. Friendly and fast service.
I ordered pork fry rice, which was absolutely delightful, minus the eggshells in my rice.

Friendly service but the ingredients are not really fresh
Food was ok. Nothing to write home about.
Pretty good food Chinatown food in lower Manhattan.
Food is excellent, I usually order Seamless, never an issue. I got a coupon for Uber Eats and it took an hour and a half. Won't be using that again!
Good place for fried rice & noodle dishes. Reasonable prices.

Food not as good as other two Mee Noodle.
Wanna know what the definition of RUDE IS? Call, and place an order for delivery, the woman is horribly rude, I placed an order, and there was a discrepancy, when I called to speak about it, she HUNG UP, and this is not the first time either!!!! They’re cheap with the amount of food( for dinner portion) and, expensive, but, the rudeness is what is disturbing!!! I will not be ordering from this restaurant again!!!!
GOOD OLD DAYS MEE has been gone!! Seriously over priced mediocre as best Chinese food. I really don't understand their price point and attitude. Entires come with small white rice like other Chinese restaurant but, be careful, you need to buy $14 full priced fried rice if you wanna exchange it. And fried rice comes in only one size. No small one. 14 dollars for fried rice? Same price of entry? AND FOODS ARE JUST AVERAGE!! I miss good old days MEE...
Very disappointing. I ordered a bowl of roast pork and seafood soup with wide noodles. It was not only bland, the crab and fish balls were artificial, but the noodles were a soggy over boiled mess. The waiter was polite and attentive. But, I definitely won't go back, especially since it was $13.50!
the driest roast pork I've ever had. no flavor at all! My chicken corn soup order also had a very strange after taste... it was almost sour? Very weird for a chicken corn soup, I had to stop eating it because I was afraid of food poisoning. I don't know what happened with my order, as the other reviews seemed so positive on here. I wanted to give this place a try, but I ended up spending $45 for a stomach ache... I can't recommend this place based on my experience. I have no intentions of ordering here ever again. To clarify, I've ordered these dishes multiple times from different restaurants over the years... I know how they should taste... this is a far cry from china town level of authentic chinese food

As one who grew up eating real Chinese food in Singapore, the soy sauce chicken noodles (dry) that I had here was severely disappointing. Good portion but noodles was almost tasteless, chicken was way below average, chilli sauce was not spicy at all. The kitchen should re-evaluate their cooking!
I never had wonton taste like meatball before, their outlook like wontons but inside are totally different story. l surprised they call that is wonton, hope that they will make a real wonton on next time when I stop by.
Below average food combined with terrible service. They forgot to send one of the items on my order then refused to to refund or replace; told me they would credit me later... called back and said they had all ready replaced it and I was lying.
BE AWARE; This restaurant was closed on January 6 2025 for a number of days by the NYC Department of health due to MAJOR food safety and heath violations, including mice, roach and sewer fly infestation; inadequate cleansing of food preparation areas; inadequate temperature in food preparation; stained, unclean clothing worn by food handlers; inappropriate storage of pestisides and the manager not possessing a certificate of extermination. These violations show a grossly egregious lack of any regard for the health and well being of their customers. Therefore, as former frequent customers, as well as our neighbors, will cease doing any business with this restaurant, regardless of whether they corrected these serious violations.
Got food poisoning from takeout here
Worst experience ever. The roast pork noodle soup was bland, the roast pork was not juicy at all, the noodle soup was just noodles in water. The soy sauce chicken portion was ridiculously small, flavor was just mediocre. The most flavor from this meal came from the fortune cookies. If you want big portions with more flavor for less money, go to any restaurant in Chinatown.
Ordered many times here. Today's meat was rubbery and unedible. Person I ordered from told me I was the only one complaining, for which I replied I have a right to. I paid for it. She refused to do anything to make.it right...not even resend that portion of the order. I was then told "maybe Mees Noodle is not your style". Unacceptable customer service. Will never order from them again. They clearly dont respect their loyal customers.
Bad behavior
Only a vegan could possibly like this bland, over priced "food" that takes 45 mins to an hour to deliver. #1 Chinese is just a few blocks away. Its literally HALF the price and way better quality.
Horrible tasteless food. Threw everything out . Worst egg foo young. Sweet and sour soup ick
We ordered at this place but I feel the lady is very very rude on the phone! We also did order all the time but I don’t know why???? I used to work with the restaurant industry before and I treated people is the same because I love my job! However, you shouldn’t hang up your customers phone call! Bad customer service ever!!!! Pls we hope u understand it!!!!
This is one of the most racist restaurants I know. They have a very bad staff and as a black I was not treated like an human. Honestly I don’t recommend this restaurant to anybody
Spent almost $80 for delivery with seamless. Cold sesame noodles were good, but chicken dishes and dumplings were disgusting. Stay away. I’m so sorry for the horrible review, the place has always been pretty reliable, not this time.
service is unbelievably rude. I left an $1 tip on a $14 meal (about 8%) because the waiter slammed the check on my table before I had even finished eating. He got upset about the tip, then actually changed the bill and added $2 himself. The food wasn’t even good bland and dry. I ended up leaving $2 cash on the table as a way of saying I’ll never come back.
