We chose this place for a weekend brunch due to it’s close proximity to the Beacon Theater. We were looking for a casual French bistro. What we got was so much more. Elegant, welcoming, beautifully decorated. The meal more than exceeded our expectations. We loved everything, from the amazing salad down to perfectly crisp frites accompanying the angus hanger steak with peppercorn sauce. Our server Amanda was attentive without being overbearing. Would recommend this place to anyone.

We had a lovely breakfast here! The gluten free bagels were delicious and the eggs were great! We also went to happy hour and devoured the chicken pea fries! Yummy! The drinks were delicious and festive.
Amanda was a very attentive and lovely server. The hanger steak was delicious the cheesecake devine and the espresso martinis made it all wort the trip.
Everything was simply phenomenal. The cuisine, with its clear French influence, exceeded all my expectations. I had the best escargots I’ve ever tasted an absolute delight. The steak was incredible, perfectly cooked, and the salmon with quinoa is one of those dishes you absolutely shouldn’t miss. And the desserts… wow! The crème brûlée was the perfect finish truly outstanding. They also offer a great selection of wines and excellent cocktails. I highly recommend starting your dinner with a Smoky Paloma or a Passion Fruit Margarita, both perfect to set the tone for the night. A place I’ll definitely keep coming back to.
Both the best AND the cheapest breakfast I found in Manhattan! Variety of breakfasts between 18-22$ including eggs, salad, potatoes, bread, meat, small juice and coffee! Friendly for gluten sensitive people (they have a GF bagel) Great service Would come again and recommend to others. The only little thing for improvement is that if I am being offered a cappuccino within the options of the hot drinks, the menu or waiter should mention it's an additional cost because I was sure it's included.
Nice Matin is a fine "à orientation française" (French-oriented) café & restaurant. It has a rich & inventive selection of appetizers & entrées. The service is very good. My servers for b-fast, Mikayla & Daniel, were terrific. Moreover, NICE Matin's GENUINELY fresh squeezed orange juice is a glorious thing; esp., considering the orange slurry served at almost all NYC restaurants and hotel b'fasts - including most of the elite hotels here. .... As it turned out, I had occasion, today, to enjoy also lunch at Nice Matin. I started with the tuna tartare. The tuna was very fresh & appropriately chopped. The sauces with which it was infused & paired were well-balanced & zesty. Two small suggestions for the tartare: Firstly, the ponzu marinate/infusion could be bolder. By my lights, rather, it SHOULD be bolder. ;} Secondly, the dish might improve with some crunch to it. Finally, my main course was the burger with fries. I passed on the truffle aioli & had the fries with neither salt and nor seasoning. An order of "no seasoning" seems to flummox even very good restaurants; nevertheless, in this case, my excellent and ebullient server, Gable, got the order correct and it arrived as ordered. Overall a good burger with good fries. A meal the inimitable Clark G. himself would have enjoyed greatly.
We ordered from the late-lunch menu. I had escargot, fries, and a Bordeaux; my husband ordered the truffle-cheddar burger, which was delicious. Since it was happy hour, our meal came with a complimentary hors d’oeuvre tower. Our server was pleasant and attentive.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Nice Matin! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was outstanding. Our server, Amanda, was exceptionally kind, attentive, and made us feel truly cared for throughout the evening. The duck leg I ordered was fantastically delicious - perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. Every bite was a delight. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food, cozy ambiance, and genuine hospitality. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Visited this French restaurant after watching an off Broadway show. We walked in and was promptly seated. We ordered many appetizers WITH ENTREE and desert. Foodserver Enrique and Amanda were very attentive. The sommelier was informative and guided us to a great wine that night. Overall had a great experience.
We ordered the French toast and the avocado omelette. Both were very good. French toast wasn’t too sweet, it was just right. Omelette was delicious. Portions were bigger than expected so that was a plus. Hot coffee was good, we asked for honey on the side to sweeten it up as they don’t have any syrups.
Great experience! I’ve walked by so many times and decided to come in to try finally and I’ve had such a pleasant experience. Patricia was attentive and gave us great recommendations. Food was exceptional. Will definitely be back.
We celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary at Nice Matin on a rainy evening, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Caitlin’s genuine personality and thoughtful service made the evening feel extra special. The cocktails were crafted to perfection—balanced, creative, and a perfect start to the night. Each dish was beautifully presented and every bite was delicious, showing both care and artistry in the kitchen. Thank you to the team at Nice Matin for giving us such a memorable celebration. We’ll cherish this evening and look forward to returning soon.
The family had a pleasant time at this attractive French restaurant. Several of the family members started out by drinking espresso martinis. I was told that they were wonderful. The rest of us started out with the fava bean hummus and the chickpea fries. Both of which were quickly consumed. For our main dishes the family split between having paillard de poulet and steak frites. All I can say is that the chicken folks and the steak contigent were both satiated. Nonetheless, I had to try the apple tart and was not disappointed. We also noticed that Steve Schirripa aka Bobby "Bacala" Baccalieri of the HBO show The Sopranos was in attendance. The staff and service were exemplary. The restaurant also had nice outdoor seating.

The breakfast was very bland, the petite potatoes were more wedged like what you’d get at a Denny’s, the food had no flavor, the pastries were outstanding, and the espresso and cappuccinos were fantastic, but some of the other dishes were definitely left wanting.
