Opinions de Pho Avenue New York
I stopped into Pho Avenue in Midtown East a place that delivers every time. It’s small, low-key, but it has the kind of neighborhood feel that makes you want to duck in any chance you get! The staff was quick and friendly, and my bowl of beef pho came out steaming hot in just a few minutes. The portion was generous, and they don’t skimp on noodles or herbs. That said, the broth leaned more on the mild side, clean, light and delicious! If you’re in Turtle Bay or Midtown East and craving something warm and comforting, Pho Avenue hits the spot without the wait or hype of bigger restaurants.
Food was absolutely delicious! Staff was very nice. We walked by and the menu caught my eye. Plenty of seating inside, nice lighting and decorations, smelled divine and you could tell everyone was enjoying their food. Ordered the catfish spring rolls, duck spring rolls and pork spring rolls, all were delish! The bun cha is a MUST GET!! Added the egg which was a nice touch! Got the Vietnamese coffee and Thai iced tea, both nice and strong and sweet. Definitely would go back to try the pho next time!!!
Nice to have a new pho place in the neighborhood Got the summer rolls and flank/brisket pho. Summer rolls were decent. Pho portion was great, much more than I expected. Really enjoyed it! Prices were very reasonable too. Would come back.
Beef stew pho and beef ball pho were both really delicious. It did taste like they took their time preparing the broth, probably cooking from bone too. Visited here on a Saturday at 4pm, and we were the only ones here (until around 4:20). The food came within a few minutes after ordering! Definitely a hidden gem.
This is a great little place! The waiter was prompt and the food came very quickly after we ordered it! Pictured is the tofu summer rolls, tofu banh mi, and a pho. The tofu was deliciously seasoned! The portions were good for the price too. Overall great place for Vietnamese!
I came around 1pm on a Thursday and it was rather busy, but I didn’t have to wait too long for a seat, maybe 5-10 minutes. Since moving to NYC, I have been searching for a good beef ball pho spot and this has just made it to the top of my list. I loved it! Everything was fresh, came out hot and quickly. I also enjoyed this with a vietnamese iced coffee, which was prepared well. Other than it being noisy for a lunch hour, the place was clean and well lit. I enjoyed my solo dining experience and will absolutely come back again, especially in the winter time when I crave a warm bowl of pho. My only request is for them to add the beef ball pho to their Uber menu as I would love to enjoy it in the comfort of my home.
Found this hidden gem right around the Hilton I was staying. Tiny but cozy establishment. Service was top notch but their Pho was ultimately amazing! Come hungry because their Pho bowl’s are huge and full of flavors! Ask for extra lime and cilantro. Makes it even better! Definitely will be back if I ever stay around this same hotel. Highly recommended!
Get the Combo Banh Mi sandwich here!! Great price great quality. Food came out quickly as well. Ample seating and cozy atmosphere. The generous condiments are a great touch as well.
The staff were friendly and food was great! So glad to have a cozy lunch spot near work. The pho was great and their appetizers were good too!
Newly opened spot with excellent Vietnamese food. Their pho is huge, you’ll be full for the entire day. I tried their new dish Bún chả which is like dipping noodle & it was yummy (especially the meat patty). Very clean and has friendly staff.
Amazing food. I got the Bahn mi and it was delicious, My son got catfish with rice and it was made so well and my niece got pho and she loved it. All amazing meals so we will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

Nice restaurant! Good food. I loved how fast everything came out. I ordered the pork spring rolls and flank pho. Literally only reason for the 4 stars and not 5, it's because my appetizer and entree came out at the same time. I just like to enjoy them separately.
I needed some lunch…late in the afternoon and was wandering after too many hours at the office. Classic pho, delicious, had the catfish. And I swear that I’ve sat in the same furniture at the Pho whatever # it was on 3rd Ave and 39th for a couple of years.
Pho Avenue is a reliable lunch spot for satisfying and flavorful pho. Expect a bustling atmosphere and wait times, especially during peak hours. However, the generous portions and delicious broth make it worth the wait.
I have came to this pho place multiple times already. The place serves absolutely amazing tasty pho with different toppings you can choose to add and other good Vietnamese dishes. Also the environment is clean. Overall good place to get pho. 👍

Wasn't expecting to find a pho restaurant in this part of midtown but it was cold and we were hungry; a good bowl of pho sounded perfect. There were a few people eating inside and the locale was bright and roomy; not much to the decor but pleasant enough There wasn't very much to the menu; basically different variations of pho; including catfish which was a first. The staff was friendly. Our phos came out very quickly after placing our order. The broth was REALLY mild and the portions of flank and brisket were VERY small and dry.. The beef balls were very good as well as the portion. The spring rolls took forever to come out. We thought they had forgotten about them and were about to cancel them when they were finally served. They were really good, but came out about 20 minutes later than our pho. We were full by then. Overall, our experience was ok. Would I return? Probably not; n'or would I recommend unless it's on a cold winter day and you're hungry.
Decent pho with nice ambience but slow service. Had Flank and Brisket pho (16 USD) here and would love to have it again, as their beef is really delicious and the noodle portion is large. However, the soup is rather mild in flavour and there is little amount of vegetables given. Overall, a pleasant place for those craving Asian noodles but not an extraordinary place.

i got this for lunch (affordable btw, $11 and decently sized) but was dissatisfied. the bread was kinda hard and i don’t think there was mayo or any moisture in this sandwich which made it dry and hard to eat. by the time i got to the half ends the bread was so crunchy and tough. maybe their pho and other items are better but definitely not this chicken banh mi
Service was quick and staff was nice. Food was quite bland. We ordered - grilled chicken sandwich - which was on the sweeter side. Didn’t enjoy as much Pork chop Dry noodles - they were quite bland. Grilled chicken rice - The chicken was quite dry. Didn’t enjoy Pork Pho - this was quite good.

Had lunch today with a few friends. I was genuinely excited to try this Vietnamese place since I am Viet and from Jersey. I was very disappointed. The workers, and I assume the owners of the restaurant, are not Vietnamese. I asked for cups of water but was told there is no water available, tap or bottle form. However, when I looked around, several tables had glasses of water. Additionally, the girl working there was rude and gave no thought to orders. My friend is severely allergic to cilantro, so when we asked for none of it to be added, we assumed there would be none. There seemed to be extra cilantro. Additionally, the food was dry and sour. Disappointed is an understanding to be honest. Would not go here.
