Opinions de Pizza Suprema New York
I’m so glad I found this spot. I was looking for a place I could journal and write postcards to my friends while enjoying a good coffee. I got a Coquito latte with their rum blend beans and a quesito. The quesito is fluffy pastry, kinda like a croissant but stuffed with a filling similar to a cheese danish center. They have so many work stations and seating options; bean bags, work tables with desk chairs, arm chairs areas, even two swings. They play great music from bad bunny to Etta James. A huge thank you to the baristas, Brenda and Tina; the were so kind and welcoming! Love this place, definitely coming back <3
Absolutely loved my visit to 787 Coffee. The coffee was top-tier, but what really made the experience special were Tina and Bebe. They were so warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind from the moment we walked in. You can tell they care about the customers and the space they create. The vibes were cozy, the drinks were crafted perfectly, and their energy made it feel like more than just a coffee stop, it felt like a little moment of joy in the day. Will definitely be back for the coffee and the people! The matcha was amazing!
Walking by and in search of a great cup of coffee with a place I could sit, work, and enjoy the people - I stumbled across 787. It was exactly what I had hoped for. The Puerto Rican coffee with rum was recommended to me by the barista - and it was delicious. Smooth, decadent, and fully-leaded (the caffeine level was what I was looking for). The rum-infusion was alcohol free but added a wonderful flavor. The atmosphere was lovely. I sat for a while just people watching and sipping my beverage. When a table opened up, I moved over to work on my laptop for about an hour. It felt like a quintessential NYC morning. Thanks!
Absolutely loved this special secret gem! It was my first time here, visiting with my friend, and we instantly fell in love!! The vibes are impeccable, especially their upper seating area!!! I was so impressed with the top quality service we received from Sydney and BeBe and the coffee is absolutely delicious!!! It may have been the best latte I’ve had in NYC YET!!! I will definitely be back again and couldn’t recommed more!!!
The moment I walked in here I felt like I was stepping into the island of Puerto Rico! It was so welcoming and peaceful. The shop is full of beautiful art and quotes that make it more than just any coffee shop. Now for the coffee: it was amazing. I had the Coquito coffee with whiskey brew—it was spectacular!
GREAT! 787 just happened to be across the street from a great drum shop and I was thirsty at just the right moment. The coffee’s great, the people are great (Thank you, William!), and the place has a the perfect vibe to it! The whiskey-infused iced coffee was perfect - really good coffee with balanced sweetness from a touch of vanilla. Perfection!
Meant to write a review sooner but I forgot. I would give this place 100 stars for hospitality if I could. I was visiting NYC during the New Year, and I was battling an egregious case of food poisoning on my last day. Checked out of the hotel and with nowhere to go for six hours, this place became my haven for my weary self. I didn't even divulge what I was going through, but the feminine employee with the butterfly tattoo on their left hand said I could use the bathroom, drink the free tap water, and stay as long as I needed -- free of charge. Obviously I bought something later 😅 but the kindness was a blessing. Every customer I saw seemed to enjoy this place and I also enjoyed the delicious banana bread once I was steady enough to hold down food. So thank you very much to the employee -- you were my savior that day -- and I'm so sorry for blowing up y'all's bathroom like a dozen times and low-key passing out in the chair back there. The hospitality and non-judgemental nature of this place is a rare sight in this selfish world. I will definitely come back to this place if I visit NYC again, and I will soon be legal enough to try most of the menu 😅 much love 🤍
Chill coffee shop with great espresso and plenty of areas to relax or work in. Big fan of the Coquito latte. Love the mix of coconut and cinnamon. Their chicken empanadas are a delicious snack. Love the tables up on the second floor. Super chill and I got to spend a couple hours working there. Will definitely be back! Now for my standard comments. Location is pretty clean and well kept. Very comfortable and kind of homey in a way.
Taking shelter from the storm in this urban oasis was the BEST idea. Music playing in the background and warmth all around, the coffee was to die for!! William, the barista, was kind and welcoming and most importantly made some amazing drinks! There is plenty of seating on two levels as well!
absolutely 10/10, great environment for getting work done as well as getting coffee with a friend. amazing wifi, outlets everywhere + a restroom which in a midtown coffee shop is a very appreciated plus. the second floor has great long meeting tables, bean bags, and a pool table if that’s what ur into lol. staff is the absolute sweetest 🩷🩷
Found this little shop on a whim and it did not disappoint! The vibe is instantly set with tons of fresh indoor plants and Puerto Rican flags (Hello? Bad Bunny? Wya?) We ordered a Conquito & Horchata latte both with oat milk. 10/10. Cool thing about this place is that they have 3 different bean choices as well that they roast themselves. Cindy was so helpful with suggestions and handled multiple customers seamlessly and with care 🤍🖤 Would def return when I come back to NYC.
Awesome coffee find! Double espresso was perfect! You can choose the variety of bean. Also tried a cream cheese and honey pastry this was also great. Great vibes, close to Penn Station, and funky interior. Server/owner was very friendly. Great experience, put this one on your list of most visits if you want seriously good coffee.
FINALLY a good coffee! Brenda and her team are super friendly and create such a welcoming atmosphere. We’d been searching for a good coffee for five days, and after visiting this place, we can finally say — we found it! Delicious coffee, cozy vibes, and the perfect spot to take a break from the busy city. If you’re looking for a great coffee within walking distance of Madison Square Garden, this is the place to go! ☕💛
787 Coffee in New York truly feels like home. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The Puerto Rican Christmas music creates such a cozy, festive vibe that instantly makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy great coffee while feeling connected to culture and community. The space is inviting, the energy is beautiful, and it’s perfect for hanging out, working, or just enjoying the moment. The photos I added capture that cozy feeling perfectly. Highly recommend if you’re looking for amazing coffee and a place that genuinely feels like home
Went here with my new friend Ruth! I had never had a NY Slice before. Tony helped me out he was incredibly nice and incredibly patient with me the pizza was Fantastic!! And huge!! When the slices came out of the oven my eyes got so big I was like “WOW” highly recommend this place!!! 10/10 ❤️
I was looking for some good New York pizza, and this place absolutely SLAPS! Very glad I found this place. There can be a long line, but it moves quickly. Also mind that seating can be limited and tables can be left dirty. However, everyone there was very friendly and had some nice accents. Now onto the pizza itself: This is exactly what I’m looking for in New York. The dough was at a great texture, it can be greasy at times, but I absolutely love the sauce. Overall, I really enjoyed this place and would come back again.
Suprema Pizza turned out to be a surprisingly great choice for my very first pizza in New York. Much better than expected, it set a strong first impression of New York–style pizza. Prices vary by slice, but they’re around $7.75 each. The pizza follows an Italian-style approach with a thin crust that’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We ordered four slices in total: Suprema, Fig, Hot Buffalo, and Hot Honey, ranked in that order of preference. The Suprema slice was the clear favorite. It’s a tomato-based pizza topped with vegetables, and the bell peppers were especially flavorful and memorable. The Fig slice was also delicious, with sweet fig jam complementing the cheese well, though the jam wasn’t spread evenly across the slice, which was a slight downside. The Hot Buffalo slice was spicy and savory, making it enjoyable, while the Hot Honey slice — topped with burrata and hot honey — lacked a strong impact compared to the others. One thing to note: although they seem to normally accept cards, the card machine wasn’t working at the time, so they were only taking cash.
I only rarely visit NYC, but I’ll be coming back here the next time I visit. I got the “Fra Diavolo” slice. That was the nickname of Michele Pezza, “a guerrilla leader who resisted the French occupation of Naples” in 1798-99, according to his Wikipedia bio. The name literally means “Brother Devil.” The sauce named after him is a little bit spicy. It is often served on pasta. The slice was not cheap — about $8 with tax — but one slice fills you up. The slice is heavy, but the bottom of the crust is strong and crispy, giving a little crunch to each bite. Above the crisp bottom, the crust is thick and fluffy. Next there’s a layer of melted mozzarella. On top of that is the spicy Fra Diavolo sauce, and then a loose pile of two styles of pepperoni: some thin and curly, some thick and flat. It’s served with a strong piece of wax paper between the slice and the plate. The wax paper is perfect for picking up and eating what would otherwise be a very messy slice of pizza. I usually think the first bite of a slice of pizza is the best. With this slice, it felt like it got better as it went along — especially because you don’t even notice the slight spiciness until you’re halfway through the slice.
NY Pizza Suprema is one of those rare places that doesn’t just serve food — it serves memories. I still remember the first time I walked in, carried by the warm smell of fresh dough and melted cheese drifting out onto the street. It felt like stepping into a pocket of New York where time slows down just long enough for you to breathe. I was tired that day — the kind of tired that settles deep in your bones after hours of rushing through the city. But the moment I stepped inside, something softened. The staff greeted me with that unmistakable New York mix of warmth and confidence, like they already knew I was about to have a great slice. When I took my first bite, everything else faded away. The crust — perfectly crisp; the cheese — rich and comforting; the sauce — bright, warm, almost familiar. It tasted like care, like tradition, like someone put a little heart into it. Sitting there with my slice, I felt a small moment of peace in a city that never stops moving. NY Pizza Suprema isn’t just a pizzeria — it’s a place where you feel grounded, welcomed, and reminded of how simple joys can turn a day around. I’m genuinely grateful for every visit — for the flavor, the kindness, the feeling of home tucked inside a perfect New York slice.
Superb family owned pizza restaurant with excellent food at great prices. Handbags a slice and enjoy, its amazing. Lots of different options and lots of classics. A must do NY restaurant and a great place to grab a slice and a break. Very close to madisson square garden if you are visiting there.
Start with cheese or pepperoni. Simple slice beats the loaded pies here. Cash is easier. Steps from MSG. Visited a week ago 9/2025. I came in because so many pizza lists and creators recommend this spot. First slice was the “Suprema.” Good bake, good texture, solid flavor, but it didn’t blow me away. Round two was a plain pepperoni and that’s where it clicked. The simpler the slice, the more the sauce and cheese shine. The crust folds clean with a light crisp and lets the sauce do the talking. If it’s your first time, start with a plain cheese or pepperoni, then branch out. Slices were about $7 when I went. They add a small fee for cards, so cash is easier. Seating is basic, which fits the grab-a-slice pace. For a quick stop near Madison Square Garden or Penn Station, this is an easy yes. I’d come back for the simple slice and a cold drink.
A must in New York! definitely if you looking for thin, crust various options for pizza! We were looking for pizza and found this gem has been on the business for over 60 years! Like cmon a MUST! Friendly staff , they were super attentive and gave us “must try options” and they were just BOMB! I’ll be back every time I’m in New York
Wow, what an amazing pizza! I can wholeheartedly recommend this place. Even though it’s a fast-paced spot, the quality is genuinely impressive. The pizza was absolutely delicious – we tried the pepperoni fra diavolo, the mushroom pizza, and the burrata pizza. I recommend trying both the thin and thick crust options – we loved them both! We found this place by accident, but I wish more such happy accidents would happen in my life. Also, the staff was very friendly, which made the experience even better. If you’re looking for authentic New York–style pizza, this is the perfect place. You won’t be disappointed. The only downside was the restroom – unfortunately, it smelled bad and wasn’t very clean.
Such a nice place inside! The decor, merchandise, and seating was very cute. I ordered the coquito coffee and it was $8, they do not tell you about the regular espresso so they try to get you to spend an extra $3. The coffee is in a bag and $8. It was very busy and took a long time to order. They also have two bathrooms
Amazing slice of pizza — truly a quintessential New York experience. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a lineup of pies like they’re auditioning for your stomach, and yes, you can even go wild and add extra cheese. The slice itself? Chef’s kiss. Crispy, balanced, and just the right ratio of everything. Was it the best pizza I’ve had in my entire life? Honestly, no — Canadian pizza still has my heart (they flavor the crust at my go-to spot, and that’s hard to beat). But this? This is officially the best slice I’ve had in the U.S.
Is it possible to give the embience of a NYC pizza joint a higher rating than the slices themselves? I struggled with the idea, but I am going with it. I prefer my NY pizza (crust) just a bit crispier, especially the cheese slices. But that you just be me. But, look, it's a fine place, and if I were regularly in the neighborhood, I would drop by for some slices.
This is a great spot for a classic New York slice. The location is perfect, right by Hudson Yards and Penn Station, which makes it super convenient. Service is fast, so you can grab a slice and go without waiting long. The pizza itself is very good. The crust has a nice balance of crisp and chew, and the sauce is flavorful without being overwhelming. It really delivers on what you want from a New York style slice. I especially liked the burrata and meat lover options, and the mushroom pizza was excellent too. The ambiance is fine – nothing fancy, but that’s not really the point here. It’s all about the pizza, and they do it well.
Yummy in my tummy! Epic hot honey, then sausage pizza right out of the oven, and a slice of pepperoni. Was in the city for a couple of weeks and this place was right down the street. While it’s a bit pricey for an NYC - walk-in, eat and get out, pizza joint, it’s worth it. Stopped in numerous times and will hit it again the next timeI’m in town.
A cool place with lots of seating. Eclectic furniture on the first and second floors. I would come here way more often if it weren’t for their strange pricing. When you order a latte, they make you choose from one of the three specialty beans, even when you didn’t ask for it. It adds $3 to the bill. Plus their pastry (which appears to be their only food option?) costs $8 for a small puff pastry. There was no price tag for that. After staying there for a couple of hours and ordering two lattes and two small pastries, I ended up paying almost $40. As much as I think it’s a cool hangout space, I honestly wonder who can afford that. 😭
Got a Hot Honey and a Fig. Guy heating them up wasn’t paying attention and blasted the fig at the last moment with the hot honey (instead of the hot honey pizza like he should), washing off the fig spread and basil. Pizzas were still good and edible, but that’s some lame. Also, I’ve had better slices elsewhere and for cheaper. Place was super busy and did heat up those slices quickly albeit with absolutely no smiling…
