Had a delightful experience for my anniversary. Heres what we ordered. All were excellent. Will List in my personal preference order 1) lamb chop starter 2) melt down dessert 3) sea bass bites 4) duck entree 5) miami cigars My wife really enjoyed a passion cocktail and I had Mony Cab. Special shout out to GM Eric Friedman ans waitress Jade who were awesome 👏
Fresh, delicious Mediterranean food, where the ingredients stand out instead of overdone sauces and glazes. Understated atmosphere, not ridiculously noisy like most too-crowded kosher restaurants. Fantastic service.
I'm glad I waited for the second time to review this restaurant - because they truly upped their game. The truffle onion soup was SO tasty and not too truffles. The burger with fries was unexpected as the last time there were no sides to any dishes; it was VERY good, and VERY filling (and my husband and I split it!). The Bronzino was fantastic. I'm not a huge fan of the *entire* creature being on the plate, but ... I'm not naive I know where fish comes from... so I' accepted the head too 😞. Ambiance was far better than last time & waitress was so kind. I definitely recommend the winter passion - was such a great mix of tangy & sweet.
The food prices are a little high, but the food is also incredible. They're not necessarily fancy dishes. It's the same style of food you can get elsewhere. But they're freshness of ingredients is unparalleled. Even simple things like a salad we're just so out of the world good. I don't even like vegetables and I loved them at this place. they were so great we requested they give us the name of their wholesaler that sells them their produce.
I would rate this restaurant higher if I could. I used to eat non kosher and I’d rate this a 10/10 on a non kosher scale. For kosher, I’d rate it a 12/10 - if was that good. The food was fantastic, and service was great. We went with my almost 1 year old and they were very accommodating and made our dining experience absolutely lovely. Their flavors are spot on from drinks to sushi to meat. This restaurant is a must for all dining types!
This place is absolutely priceless. Me and my partner were greeted by the most hospitable bunch of genuine people for our Valentine's dinner! Miguel, who took care of us, was very patient and kind and helped my partner and I finally decide on something to eat on this beautiful menu. It was difficult but after deciding we were met with a beautiful cocktail with a slice of passionfruit and some mint sprigs in it. Looked and tasted amazing. There was virtually no wait for the food and the staff made sure to check on us constantly. The food is another story, I should write a book! Had the Argentinian steak, black truffle lamb chops, and to finish it a beautifully put together lemon mousse! A must have dessert by the way. I haven’t had such an experience like this in a very long time and I cannot wait to go again. Thank you for everything
One of the best high-end restaurants in NYC. I’ve been at this place 5 times in the last 2 years. The Chef, Tal Abohav comes out to greet the customers personally. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable, the ambiance is terrific, and the food is out of this world. Been to all of the major Kosher restaurants in the city, none of them come close to Rothschild TLV, not even Reserve Cut. Highly recommended.
Most delicious food I've had. We ordered the risotto that is delicious, the Holly ravioli with amazing taste, the softest steamed short ribs. And the berry desert that is one of the best desserts I've had in a Kosher restaurant. The dishes are so cool and different, and the way the food is plated is beautiful. My one complaint I wish the portions were doubting the size, but that's cause I loved the food. If you want a great place to impress clients, a date or to celebrate, this restaurant has the best dishes. ---- Went back 😋 The cheek is delicious and supper soft.
Went to Rothschild TLV tonight with my wife. Made reservations online and we were seating almost immediately upon arriving. The waitress, Dalmina , was so friendly and knowledgeable about all the dishes on the menu. Having an allergy or two, she quickly went to the chef and spoke with the kitchen staff, who not only advised which dishes could have substitutions in place of my allergy, but she came back with a paper menu with notes from the kitchen staff and chef highlighting what not to order. After ordering three starters and being amazed at the tastes presentation, our main courses arrived. When you ask for a certain temperature for your steak, it was spot on! The side veggies were immaculate, and a perfect fit for a steak entree. Struggling to figure out wether to order desert or not, we chose to order and wow were we amazed!! The deserts looked like art and tasted like heaven. Fortunately, we got to meet the chef/owner Tal Abaov, and gave him the biggest smiles and compliments on the food of this incredible restaurant and of course that we would be writing a review about the positive experience we had here. We most highly recommend this restaurant for so many reasons and will definitely be back again!
Amazing atmosphere. Amazing service. Very cute place to celebrate a birthday. It was mine and my husbands first anniversary and they let us stay way later than closing (we were the last ones there), and surprised us with a couple of shots and a lit candle to celebrate. Was very romantic and a super sweet gesture. Order the Moroccan cigars as an app and lamb burger as a main— you won’t be disappointed!
Outstanding kosher restaurant! Very creative dishes, unique flavors, beautiful presentation and great service. I’m so glad I finally made it to check it out and I will definitely return on my next trip to NYC. I didn’t get a chance to take a picture of our cowboy steak, it was consumed before I had a chance to open my camera. Trust me it was perfect medium rare, so juicy and flavorful.
Really great restaurant we enjoyed the food soo much. And the waitress was really nice and helpful. The dessert was amazing looked like a breakfast meal but was actually all dessert. The bacon was a cookie the toast was cake the egg was some sort of pudding and mango, and it was just like a real runny egg. Amazing!!
Excellent food!! Delicious cocktails, our server Aliona was very attentive and new the menu well! The hostess sat us promptly even though we were half hour early!! Very well heated outdoor dining..Everything was cooked to perfection, the dessert was also very well made with extraordinary flavors :) we also had the apple mojito and the peach cocktail , cigars, not pictured
Even with my taste still not 100%, this was still the best meal I've had in months. Started with drinks- smoked garden and dry wind - taste, quality, and presentation all incredible! Appetizers all top notch. Risotto, cauliflower, and short rib flatbread all blew us away. For entree ribeye was probably the best steak I've had this year, on par with reserve cut as my barometer of greatness (maybe exceeding it, hopefully will get another taste soon to decide) Dessert- chocolate madness was delicious and very well put together. Service was incredible throughout, ambiance can't judge as was outside w curbside dining (but even that was well prepared)
Excellent food, we had 3 issues w our experience three. 1) Atmosphere/ decor was lacking. If you’re charging $85 for a main course, you should have tablecloths on the tables. 3 tables had tablecloths the rest were bare, felt like we were in a diner. 2) No bread was offered. Once again, for $85 mains, bread should be offered, especially because the sauces were delicious and it would’ve been great to dip bread in. 3) Lastly, they added an 18% gratuity for a party of 2. Nowhere on the menu does it say that.
The below may be a scathing review but also hopefully a constructive one for them to address certain improprieties and turn this into a sustainably successfull establishment for years to come. So here are my notes. 1. Plating is beautiful for literally every dish, however, dishes are quite disproportionate, some appetizers are enough to feed 3 ppl yet some are barely enough for 1. 2. Instead of the pate we ordered we got liver moose, was quite good but probably wouldn't have ordered if we'd had been told before, especially not at that price for 3 little scoops. 3. As far as the mains, a $245 tomahawk steak should be more substantial and have much better depth of flavor as opposed to something you grill in your backyard. 4. We got very little attention from staff throughout the evening as both the head chef and manager kept mingling and flirting with the girls throughout our meal. 5. Drinks are artful and good but prices are the highest I've seen anywhere in NYC, not justified at this level of service.
I went back to Rothschild in Tel Aviv after having an amazing experience there two years ago, but this time was a huge disappointment. Last time, the dishes were incredibly unique, creative, and absolutely delicious. We also paid a lot back then, but it was worth it because the experience felt truly special. This time, I had the same high expectations but was completely let down. The food and drinks were just average—nothing stood out. The main course, called “The Chef’s Board” or something like that, was the biggest disappointment. It was just plain grilled cuts of meat and whole grilled vegetables—no creativity, no unique flavors, just basic and uninspired. To make it worse, the dish was served on a large heated board that was placed on the table like a wall, making it awkward for us to even see and interact with each other. For three people, we ended up paying $900 for what felt like a very ordinary meal. They probably knew they messed up because they gave us free coffee, but honestly, that doesn’t make up for the huge gap between the price and the experience. Definitely not worth it—I won’t be coming back.
