Opinions de Skyline Deli New York
Great neighborhood bar. They only have beer and wine. Great atmosphere. Great music.
A gem on this earth. Will forever bring friends here on Friday night for Monique, the immaculate vibes, and awesome drinks. This bar is a HK staple, and yes pocket bar is great too, but back pocket is 10x better. The community, wholesome. The vibes, electric. The bartenders, best there ever was. Literally Weiwei and Monique be putting in the work. Dancing, performing, making everyone feel welcome, and literally running the entire bar by themselves. My glass is never empty, there is always a good song on, hit it at the right time of night and everyone is out of their seat singing along. Could not recommend this bar enough to anyone looking for a perfect night out.
Ok so my friends and I decided to try this place since the bar we were originally going to meet up was too crowded and let me tell you it was the best decision of the night! Our bartender was a gorgeous girl name Moe and she was soooo helpful and so sweet and so much fun! She really made the entire experience a night to remember! Mo provided such great energy! She was simultaneously making drinks and playing dj from her own incredible playlist and hyping everyone up and dancing for us while also making sure we got out free popcorn snacks! She was a one woman show and we loved it! She had the entire bar dancing and singing along. It was like one of those movie scenes where a bunch of strangers become friends for a night and just truly have fun together and it was all due to her being such a positive energy! I asked her when she works and she said weds thru sat I believe because my friends and I definitely want to come back and see if we can experience this magical night again. Absolutely a million times would recommend! I give this place all the stars!
Love Back Pocket! Go to spot for great wine, great ambiance, and great company - be that with friends of the lovely and talented Monique. Crowd is normally good vibes and the music is always fun - expect many singalongs!
Back Pocket Bar in NYC is one of those hidden gems you stumble upon and can't help but love. My wife and I come at least once a month. It's cozy, with a great crowd and excellent music playing all the time. Everyone sings along to their favorite songs. The selection is just wine and beer, but it's a good one. Whether you're looking to start the night off right or wind down after a long day, this place is perfect. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a laid-back spot with great vibes and even better tunes.
Went with a couple of friends to catch up. Loved this place! Great wine and interesting drinks - especially the Sake Lemonade. Fantastic atmosphere with good music and a lively vibe yet still good for conversation. Will definitely return. Wine around $15/glass.
Such a cool little spot! Super easy to miss but definitely worth a visit. Love the fact that they give you some popcorn to snack on. Best thing is also that they have frozen Aperol spritzes. Amazing! Now for my standard COVID comments as of September 2022. No masks being worn but it’s no longer mandatory. Pretty small location but felt comfortable while it was not too crowded.
Overall rating: 4.8 Always a joy to visit. Drinks are top notch and bartenders are so nice! I like to come on a Saturday afternoon and just read a book. The popcorn is also so good and the drinks are very reasonably priced. Definitely have to come back when I get the chance.
We stayed just a block away from this bar on our trip to New York. My wife and I stumbled into it while looking for a place to grab some drinks. Very small, but a super cool atmosphere. This ia a beer and wine venue. The bartender was super fun and welcoming. We had a few drinks, played three rounds of bingo and had a blast.
Amazing vibes always. Never ceases to amaze that Mo can run the whole bar alone never missing a beat and still give the level of personal attention to every patron. Caution: you will lose your voice singing along to all your favorite songs.
Such an inviting location. Great music, great vibes, great drinks . Mo was phenomenal and made this such an awesome experience. She went above and beyond to help us celebrate our bride to be 💍! 1,000 % recommend
We loved the vibe at this place. Great music. Simple drink menu of wine & beer. Friendly folks at the bar. Everything was chill. Spectacular service from Mo & Tiffany. Raffle night was a blast ! Don't want to tell too many people about this place. Want to keep it cool & intimate.
My absolute FAVORITE bar in NYC. This is the type of place you go to meet people and sing your heart out. Not a piano bar, but might as well be. A place you can go to truly be yourself and enjoy your evening. No pretense, no bad attitudes, just fun. The bartenders are fantastic and incredibly kind. 100% would recommend.
Such an amazing find in the heart of the Big Apple! It's places like this that make a night out in NYC so much fun. The staff are extremely hospitable and the regulars are super friendly. Love the wine and beer selections too. Don't miss out!
Such a gem! I love the vibe, friendly service and great drinks. Plus, it's great they're serving wine fresh and sustainably with reusable steel kegs. Look forward to visiting again soon!
Favorite bar in Hell’s Kitchen. They have struck a chic balance between intimacy, approachability. Perfect for close conversations during the week and fun dances on the weekends! And free popcorn?!?(^◇^)
The vibe in this bar is AMAZING and definitely because of the service. You walk in to a candlelit bar, a great playlist, and Mo- the most interesting, fun, bartender ever. She kept the drinks flowing, supplied accessories to add to the experience (we were celebrating a bride to be), and a never ending sing-along. Definitely a top notch experience. Drinks available wine, beer, and a delicious cider. There's also popcorn to snack on
Everything bagel is so good! Love the cream cheese!
I have gone here twice. Both times food came out hot and tasty. Good portions for price and service was great.
I love this place. Mango and the rest of the team are great. They have a huge selection of freshly prepared food items and juices, available 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. They're also great with online ordering, being very communicative about anything they might have to change in the order because of supplies. The Cali Chopped Cheese is delicious.
Cute spot great vibe! Candle-lit and dark. Wine & beer menu. The Sunshine IPA was super bitter though, and felt kind of expensive! ($11). Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Free popcorn is a nice touch. Cozy for sure! The height of the seats felt a little bit off with the high tables. Server had us clear the wrong bill which was not too big of a deal, but with only 4 or so customers, I think maybe that could be avoided in the future.
Fun little bar but tiny and super loud so plan to come here if you wanna drink and sing with your friends and not necessarily have a conversation of any kind!
I’ve had really wonderful experiences here. The bar is small, and bartenders here generally make the occasion feel warm and community-oriented. It is jovial and silly and warm. The selection of beer and wine is also excellent, and the free popcorn is a cute touch. Recently, a friend and I were having beers and catching up here. The bartender was friendly and attentive, and she seemed to imply she wanted to take a shot with us. She did this a few times, and we agreed to. At the end of the night, however, we found she had charged us for each shot. We expressed some surprise. She sort of shrugged and said “we do this thing called upselling.” We paid, of course, but the experience felt underhanded and strange in retrospect. Something to keep an eye on! Otherwise, a charming gem in West Manhattan.
Chopped Cheese is good, but if you think paying $6.50 for a BEC is normal then all power to you. This store's prices are insane, $1 for ONE banana? I guess no one questions it but please don't let tariffs get you robbed lol the bananas in a bag at the grocery is still just over a dollar. On top of that, they kinda pick and choose when they want to be friendly. There are other great delis nearby for cheaper cost and better taste. If you have money to blow then this is a good spot. If not, do better for yourself and your wallet and walk another 5 minutes to the other corner store and better food
Not the best customer service as other reviewed mentioned, exorbitant prices and not even mid tasting sandwiches. They have a large variety of drinks, foods and are in close proximity which is how they primarily make their capital. Apart from getting a snack here and there, I will not be patronizing this store. $3 for a BAI / vitamin water?! Also, they tax their foods. The deli on the other side does not, ridiculous. I understand that costs are rising for everyone, but price gouging your customers is crazy work!
I had just purchased the breaded chicken cutlet sandwich and I only ate a few bites when I realized the meat was turning. I threw out the sandwich. Will not be ordering from this place ever again!
I somehow pissed off this deli be careful. They are rude, short, and get exacerbated when they deal with you. I ordered bacon egg and cheese on roll salt snd pepper add mayo. I got a sandwich with no mayo. Next day same order this one had mayo but also hot sauce. Todays order took the cake, it tasted totally off and I explored the sandwich to find little bugs mixed into the eggs mixed
The people who work here are so nasty and rude it makes you never want to shop here no matter how convenient. There’s a girl and a guy who work the counter the girl has a nasty attitude and acts like everyone who comes to shop there personally came to ruin her day. The boy is usually there at night and he’s usually more focused on whatever sports game is playing on the TV you gotta wait for him to finish before he speaks to you. The guy making the sandwiches makes horrible sandwiches stingy with the ingredients like they’re not charging $10 for a sandwich that should be $6. They don’t tell you the prices for anything and even if you get the same thing every day you will pay something different every time. They are just not worth it. One block down there is a better deli where the food doesn’t come with a stink attitude to ruin your meal.
This used to be a good deli I really don't know what happen... I order this morning at 8am and didn't receive my order until 9:20... a hour and 20 minutes wait just for a sandwich and a orange juice... when I called this morning a rude women pick up the phone was so disrespectful, the first thing I said was the sandwich has to be really hot and i got a really cold sandwich instead. I used to order twice or even 3 times a week from this place and there was a different girl that was so nice and a really good worker. Won't be ordering again.
