On a business trip and made a detour to the bar to watch the world series and grab a couple beers. Totally worth it. This place is not a tourist trap. Amazing beers. Decent about of TVs. Fair price. Overall a great place to hold to 6 after work and watch a game with co workers.

I cannot recommend this place enough! The staff turned a disaster into one of the best nights ever for my best friend’s wedding! When our party bus broke down, Stout was willing and able to accommodate our party of 23 people. Claire took great care of us and even played the bride and groom’s wedding song so my friends could have their first dance. We are all very grateful for their help and hospitality with such short notice!

Had a private event for my friends 30th birthday party about a month ago and it was great! Food and service were exceptional, they went above and beyond for us the whole time. It was an open bar for 2 hours and they were very on top of getting people drinks, and we never had to wait for a refill. The manager working was there the whole time making sure everything was running smoothly checking in to make sure we were getting everything we needed. The server was great as well, always there for what we needed. Everyone at this restaurant was so nice and joyful and it really made for a great experience.

Stout was great! I got the chicken fingers appetizer and the Stout Burger with a salad. The aioli with the chicken was phenomenal; I even put it on the burger. The burger was amazing, and avocado on top was a good choice but not necessary. The salad was nicely dressed. Overall, this was a great meal with quick service and not too expensive.

Today, my friend treated me to lunch at this spot, and it was a fantastic experience. I ordered the Stout Burger with fries, and both were absolutely delicious. The fries were incredibly fresh and seasoned to perfection. As someone who prefers well-done burgers, I was thrilled that it was cooked just right. The service was outstanding, adding to the overall enjoyment. The bar caught my attention—it’s truly impressive with its design. I also loved the cozy low lighting and the thoughtful arrangement of the tables.

While I was out location scouting in the Financial District (FIDI), I decided to step into a cozy spot for a refreshing gin drink and some fries. The aesthetic of the place immediately caught my eye and added to the overall experience. The fries were satisfyingly delicious, and the gin drink was just what I needed to unwind. It's always a pleasure when both the food and the drink hit the mark. Honestly. I only come here when I’m in the financial district, and is only once or twice a month (to entertain clients) and is always lively atmosphere with a fairly wide variety of options which makes it easy when entertaining clients/colleagues and the likes. Really I just like the great draft selection and the no frills but high quality offerings they provide. A neighbourhood staple IMO. If I was in this area more often I’d probably be there just as often too

It's beyond a classic Irish pub. The ambience alone is worth to visit. Great food, excellent service and huge selection of drinks. High ceiling seems to be elegant and fascinating and makes the atmosphere very comfortable. So I think no one ever feels cramped or cooped up here in contrast to other Irish pubs. Plenty of TV are all around if you wanna watch a game. One of the best places for hanging in lower Manhattan.

Went with some coworkers and it’s a great after-work spot. We split a bunch of things: ceasar salad, hot honey pepperoni pizza, fries, all the food was great! Ate so fast I forgot to take a pic LOL. Tried a few different drinks as well, the margaritas and espresso martinis were good. Our server, Mike, was awesome! He was friendly, attentive, funny, and had lots of great recommendations when we couldn’t decide what we wanted. Will definitely be back because all the food sounded good.

This is my go to sports bar near my apt. Definitely recommend the wings and the oysters (surprisingly decent). Skip the burgers, it’s mid. They always have the main game sound on which I really like. Can’t go wrong with the drafts as well. You can order and pay on your phone which is nice but they also have servers going around taking your orders too. The service can be a hit or miss depending on the day you go. But overall, it’s my go to bar to enjoy a game, eat good bar bites and try their rotating list of beers.

We watched the Spain-Croatia game at Stout. The server who served us was very welcoming and made sure everything was all right. My husband had chicken wings, and he liked them. I had the chipotle black bean quinoa burger with sweet potato fries, and they were delicious. I recommend this place for watching sports and having a good and tasty meal while enjoying your time.

It was ok. The service was surprisingly slow even though there were not a lot of patrons in when we were there, just about when they opened. I appreciated they were vaccine checking but I was not prepared and had to get it together fast as we had just gotten off the plane. We didn't get to order the bottomless drinks because we had to be up at Broadway on Sunday Brunch afternoon and the timing was not working. The thing that didn't work for me is the lack of vegetarian options because if you don't EAT eggs, or meat, you are left with about 2 choices. and I was not there to eat the granola option. So, that was the one thing that didn't work well for me. I got the veggie burger it was more broccoli I think than anything, and being honest, not a fan! Plus the fact that every time I tried to take a bite it just kept crumbling, they definitely need to work on the texture and taste of this to correct that from happening as I think more hit the floor than my stomach. Would go back to use it for a bar, but not to eat. Servers are friendly, but just no one of our favorite finds while in Manhattan. It is clean inside from tabletops to the bathrooms. However, I went in with different expectations as did my dining companions, so we left a bit disappointed and crunched for time due to slow service.

I have always had a positive experience in stout midtown. Stout in FiDi does not even compare. The service was slow and the staff forgot our order multiple times. Since there was slow service, the food was cold. It was not crowded when we were here so don’t know what happened. The hostess was probably the best employee there. She was able to get the football game on for us and sit us in a good spot.

So-so... The Honey Badger (cocktail) was alright (that's all I ordered). Was very noisy because a game was going on and the music was on blast. I was there for another event. So I wasn't enjoying myself as much. I heard it's better when it's less busy (no major game playing). But when we went, the bartenders took forever to get to us (both to order and to receive the drinks, and even the tab).

They don't let people take tables enen if they half of the tables are empty. But a cocktail is good.

Food and drinks are alright, if a tad on the expensive side. However, the atmosphere is entirely the problem. As a place that holds itself out as a sports bar (ads outside, online, and all over the restaurant), it is not one. There were 15-20 people (out of maybe 30 in the restaurant) there to watch college football and politely requesting sound be turned on for any of the games playing. Not only was no sound played and the requests ignored, they had this aggravating low fi jazz playing loudly over the bar that made it uncomfortable to enjoy the reason 75% of the patrons were there. If you’re looking for a sports bar atmosphere or even an enjoyable place to watch a game, ignore the ads this is not the place to go.

I stopped by on a moderately busy night, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. There was only one bartender who seemed overwhelmed, despite the crowd not being too large. It took over 10 minutes for him to even notice me, and after acknowledging my order, he served multiple people who ordered after me. After waiting with no service, I decided to leave and found another bar with more efficient staff.

Nice beer selection, and your normal bar food, but when sitting at the bar (that’s not busy) would think you would have someone making sure you have a beer a little quicker.

Went over the weekend for a Halloween party and received the worst service to date. The white male presenting and white female presenting bartenders behind the main bar were extremely rude although there wasn’t a huge crowd and we waited our turn before ordering. The male presenting bartender first yelled at my friend with an attitude sense he couldn’t hear her and seemed busy so we went to the other side of the bar. He came to take my order and I ordered two margaritas with premium liquor. We paid and tried our drinks which tasted like they were made with well tequila. I flagged down the female presenting bartender and asked if she can switch out our drinks to a tequila seltzer with the premium liquor. She yelled at me saying she watched him pour it and “squeeze fresh limes” meanwhile it was definitely a marg mix (which was fine by us). She grabbed our cups and as she poured them out and yelled “such a waste” as she rolled her eyes. I’m convinced that if I or my friend were white she wouldn’t have spoken to either of us that way and I even asked her as she gave us our drinks. I have a background in customer service so I know how people should be treated and spoken to. We didn’t ask for anything free, we didn’t ask for anything extra. We took one sip of our drink and asked for something else which isn’t unreasonable. We left immediately after the exchange and took our money elsewhere. We received better service from a place that was even more crowded and higher demand.

Extremely non accommodative staff. On asking for extra chair, we faced so much rudeness. Didn't even stay for the food.

Never coming here again. I've given Stout enough chances and even held some company events with them. The service is awful. Came by and waited at the bar for 10 minutes where bartenders spent time wiping glasses and talking to each other at the far end of the bar where there were no customers. I can understand if they are busy or short staffed but this is a common thing with them. Never giving them my money again. Hope they go out of business.

Interior is too dark to see what you’re doing (great on Sat night, terrible at 5pm on Monday). Service was confusing, with our server being attentive at times and then disappearing for long periods. Chicken sandwich was tasteless and dry. Couldn’t finish it. Won’t be going back.

Customer service it no the best..... Fish and chips it's no bad but is not like UK . Burger was really good....

Weird restaurant. A mix between nice place and weird extremely loud sports bar with small weak drinks. If you want a conversation with the person sitting next to you pick somewhere else. Service not great. Wouldn't ever come back. Food was okay. So if you're looking for a meal, weak drinks, and a side of headache, this is your spot.

Frustrating experience. We were forced to leave early because of a band that clearly didn't know how to read the room. After complaining about the lack of applause, they decided to turn the volume up to a deafening level just to be noticed. Watching guests cover their ears and ask to be moved while the band doubles down on the noise is just bad business. Our server was sympathetic, but it’s disappointing that management didn't step in to rein in the ego on stage. A total lack of situational awareness from both the band and the venue.

Nice spot in Lower Manhattan. My company holds an annual event there. However, this place gets a low review because I went there with a friend afterwork last year and the bartender overcharged us. As mentioned, we went afterwork, which is 'happy hour.' The bartender didn't give us the 'happy hour menu' but the regular drink menu. It wasn't until we received our second round of expensive drinks that my friend inquired if these were 'happy hour' prices. That's when the bartender said no and provided us with the additional menu. That turned us off. My first and last time going there with friends. There are so many other options nearby.

We went there last Friday Dec 19th 2025! The overall experience at this restaurant was unacceptable. The food quality was barely acceptable and does not merit even a one-star rating. The service was particularly poor. Our group repeatedly had to ask for basic necessities that should be provided automatically. Utensils were not brought to the table, despite multiple requests. Blue cheese dressing—specifically requested for the chicken wings—the server just forgot we asked for few times., and ketchup for the fries was never provided. No napkins were offered at any point. Even soft drinks were served without straws. Additionally, the dip served with our chips had an extremely hard surface and was impossible to break or eat, making it completely inedible. The servers frequently disappeared, and we waited approximately 25 minutes simply for utensils and condiments. This was especially frustrating as we were part of a group gathering, and the lack of attention significantly disrupted the experience. Overall, this establishment demonstrated a serious lack of organization, attentiveness, and basic service standards. I would not recommend this restaurant based on our experience. Horrible! Horrible!

My food was not ready and was told to come back in 15-30 mins. I come back in 35 mins and was told that the health inspector is still looking into their kitchen so i can either wait or come back in another 15-30 mins. Huge waste of time in the middle of a workday just to grab a “quick lunch”

The food came faster than the drinks, and the drinks were not made as ordered. The food and drinks were too expensive for this. It took 4 times asking to get us water, we could NOT track down a waiter for the life of us, and when the food came out, some food was missing and the fries weren’t salted. Fries weren’t salted? That’s insane! But the wait staff was very very kind, just not always responsive. They all seemed stressed so maybe it was an understaffed night? Management should do better.

We came for a bottomless open bar at 12 and they cut us off. The bottomless brunch ended at 3:00 and we paid over $700 for 12 people. Everyone that needed to go home went home. Everyone else stayed for the Yankees game at 4:00. By 5:00 the bar cut us off for no reason. They acted as if we were reckless and causing a scene. Will never come back to this location. Horrible customer service
