Opinions de Manhatta Albee Square
We had an absolutely incredible experience at Manhatta for my friend’s birthday! From the moment we walked in, the entire staff made her feel so special—everyone went out of their way to congratulate her. We were lucky enough to get a stunning window seat with a breathtaking view of the city. There was even a thoughtful birthday card waiting for us on the table! The food was of the highest quality and the service was flawless. They truly know how to make an occasion feel grand. Highly recommend!
We had dinner at Manhatta, located on the 60th floor of a skyscraper in the Wall Street district, and the experience was impressive overall. From the moment you arrive, the welcome is highly professional. The hostess team, maître d’, and sommelier all contribute to a very polished and well-organized atmosphere. The service is attentive, refined, and genuinely professional throughout the evening. The view is truly spectacular. One side overlooks the Brooklyn Bridge and Brooklyn, while the main façade faces Uptown Manhattan, showcasing the iconic, glittering skyline in all its glory. At the entrance, there is a stylish and functional bar area with a stunning backdrop view. Walking to the right, the restaurant opens into an L-shaped dining room with approximately 30 tables. The staff-to-guest ratio is excellent, and service flows smoothly. They offer a 3- or 4-course prix fixe menu. Each course (starter, main, dessert) includes about five options, which keeps the selection focused and prevents the menu from feeling overwhelming. The concept feels standardized, elegant, and based on quality ingredients rather than excessive variety. My wife and I both chose the four-course menu. I started with the raw shrimp, which was excellent — easily the highlight of my meal. I then had scallops, followed by a vegan main course that, unfortunately, felt underdeveloped and barely cooked — surprisingly so, to the point that it felt almost unfinished. I ended with a chocolate mousse. I paired my meal with a mezcal-based spicy cocktail, which was well balanced and enjoyable. My wife chose burrata as a starter, a lentil-based dish, tagliatelle, sea bass as her main course, and sorbet for dessert. She paired her meal with a Blanc de Blancs champagne, which complemented her dishes beautifully. Overall, the food was good but somewhat mediocre in execution, with a few highlights (especially the raw shrimp). I would rate the food 4 out of 5. However, the atmosphere, views, and the professionalism and friendliness of the staff easily deserve 5 out of 5. A unique and charming touch: the restaurant provides binoculars placed around the space for guests to enjoy the skyline up close — a thoughtful and memorable detail. Additionally, the small “bites” served between courses were delightful and well executed. In summary: go for the view, the ambiance, and the impeccable service. The food is good, but the overall experience is what truly stands out.
The view is so awesome! The sun comes out after we sitting at the table! Services is so warm. The food is so so delicious! My very first time beef burger, great taste! It is couple special occasions we celebrate today, best decisions made to come here. Cheers!
Incredibly charming experience. The staff are incredible and the food portions blow other high-end dining out of the water. Quality is remarkable. Strongly recommend the Counter seating and the Octopus. As others note, beautiful views. All around recommendation.
The view of the city is amazing and manhatta knows it; they have binoculars placed around the restaurant to take in the views. To go along with the sights, the restaurant has a really amazing menu with great seafood. The prize however is the burger which is spectacular. My sister and mom who aren't typical burger connoisseurs highly enjoyed it. Do yourself a favor and slice the pickle and add it to the burger, it brings the acidity that completes the meal.
I can’t say enough about this restaurant. From the moment you walk in, the experience is exceptional. The coat check gentleman was an absolute pleasure to speak with, escorting us up in the elevator before we were warmly greeted at the restaurant. Everyone genuinely seemed happy to be there. The views are stunning, the staff just as amazing, and you never feel rushed—you’re truly able to enjoy every course at your own pace. I would absolutely recommend coming here.
Manhatta is a high-end, 60th-floor restaurant in Lower Manhattan (28 Liberty St) operated by Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group. It serves New American cuisine with French/Japanese influences under Chef Jason Pfeifer, featuring stunning 360-degree skyline views. The venue offers prix-fixe dinner, a la carte lunch, and a robust cocktail/wine menu. Key Details: Location: 28 Liberty St., 60th Floor, New York, NY 10005. Cuisine: New American (upscale). Menu: Prix fixe dinner, a la carte lunch, extensive wine/cocktail list. Atmosphere: Modern, romantic, panoramic views of the harbor and city. Dress Code: Business casual or chic. Manhatta is considered a premier spot for special occasions and business dining in the Financial District.
I booked Manhatta during our stay in New York, but on arrival realised I’d somehow managed to book the wrong day – entirely my own fault, and I’m still not quite sure how I did it. Despite it being 8pm on a Saturday night, the team were incredibly accommodating and managed to find us a spot in the bar area after a short wait, which was made much more pleasant with a couple of cocktails. Considering how busy it was, this was no small feat and very much appreciated. We ordered the duck wings, fries and the lobster roll, all of which were excellent. The wine was also superb – from memory, a Pinot Noir that paired perfectly with the food. The views from the restaurant are quite honestly some of the best in the world, and combined with the quality of the food, it made for a fantastic experience. I’d love to return and try the main menu next time – I’ll just make sure I book the right day.
Great spot for a special occasion or a nice night out. I (very politely) requested a table by a window when I made my reservation and we were seated at an amazing booth for two. Service was lovely. Coat check available before you head up in the elevators. We will be back!
10/10 all around. Went here for Valentine’s Day without a reservation and was ok for standing room initially. Within 30 mins they sat us at a small table and the service was excellent. Staff was so friendly and very polite. The views were breathtaking, such a romantic and intimate restaurant and bar setting and great for conversation. The cocktails were some of the best I’ve had in the city, truly. And food/cocktail prices were honestly pretty standard/reasonable for NYC fine dining if not less. Overall really enjoyed my experience here and we’ll definitely be back again soon :)
One of a kind dining experience with an amazing view. The true contemporary cuisine represents NYC beautifully. I personally loved the subtle touch of Korean flavors mixed in. The cocktails were amazing too.
Absolutely incredible experience at Manhatta! It’s rare to find a spot where the food actually rivals the view, but this place nails it. Being 60 floors up with a 360-degree look at the city is breathtaking, especially as the sun goes down. The meal was standout from start to finish. I highly recommend the ribeye and the honey toast with Asian sweet potato dessert was unbelievable. There was flavors on top of flavors in every plate. The service was unbelievable and they have it down to a science. If you're looking for a "wow" spot in New York for a great meal, this is definitely it. Can’t wait to come back!
Went here for my anniversary and everything was amazing from start to finish. The servers came by our table many times to assist and brought each course in a timely manner, and refilled our wine glasses without us having to ask. The food was really delicious and there was a lot of it, we almost didn’t finish the dessert course. They also put a note at our table and extra dessert at the end which was a really nice touch. Well worth the money
Manhatta is hands down one of the best New York wedding venues if you’re looking for stunning city views, incredible food, versatility, and a space that feels like a perfect New York experience for guests. I’ve had the pleasure of capturing multiple weddings here and each time it amazes me how beautiful it is. Couples can make the space feel unique to them with design elements and Elevate Green Events always does an amazing job in this space! Them along with the Manhatta service team have my vote as the best in the city.
Beautiful space at the 60th floor. Entrance is outside the building with its dedicated bank of elevators. Restaurant opens at 11.30 and you wait outside if you have the first seating. Expansive views of the financial district and the bay, although it was snowy and foggy during our visit, so unfortunately, very limited visibility. Menu is very well composed, portion size is appropriate and flavors spot on. Highly recommended.
I've never been to a fine dining restaurant before. But, it was my parents' anniversary, so I decided it was worth a shot. The staff custom made anniversary cards and provided us with complimentary desserts as well. Everyone was very nice and accommodating, really warm atmosphere coupled with the view of NYC 60 stories up. The food too - although they weren't the largest portions, everything was delicious. Some dishes had a bit too much sauce and saltiness for my liking, but you cannot deny the quality and craft that goes into it. While it is pricey, around $140 for the four course set, I would still recommend it for special occasions if you want to celebrate or ball out for once.
The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. We arrived about 30 minutes late due to traffic, but the restaurant kindly held our reservation. Although I had requested a table with a view when booking and we were initially seated at a regular table, the waitress was extremely kind and moved us to a window table as soon as one became available.
Excellent food, amazing setvice, and jaw-dropping views. The kitchen is fully exposed to the dining room, and the cooks add their professional chatter to the noise of the dining room. The food is perfectly executed and is, as expected, amazing. The staff are professional but also funny and engaging, a nice switch from the "stuffy" service at this level. They could very easily lean heavily on the views for their ratings and reviews, but the restaurant stands on its own regardless of altitude.
I visited Manhatta in New York City and had a truly pleasant experience, especially with their tasting menu. The restaurant sits high above the city, and even though I didn’t get the exact window seat I requested, the panoramic views were still stunning and added so much to the atmosphere. The dining room felt elegant but relaxed, making it perfect for a special night without feeling overly formal. The service was polished, attentive, and knowledgeable—exactly what you expect from a Michelin-recognized restaurant. Courses were timed perfectly, arriving smoothly without long waits or feeling rushed. The tasting menu itself was beautifully curated, with each dish thoughtfully prepared, balanced, and full of flavor. Portions were just right, and the pacing made the entire meal feel like a well-designed experience rather than just a series of plates. The vibe was calm, intimate, and ideal for enjoying both the food and the incredible skyline. The staff handled everything smoothly, from seating to explaining dishes to adjusting small details, and the overall quality made it absolutely worth the visit. Even without the perfect seat, Manhatta delivered an exceptional, memorable evening with remarkable views, refined dishes, and excellent service.
We visited this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary during our trip to New York, hoping for a special meal — and it truly was. From the moment we entered the first floor to finishing our meal on the 60th and leaving again, we experienced exceptionally warm and attentive service throughout. The food was a creative mix of fusion dishes — unique, flavorful, and unlike anything you’d find elsewhere. Unlike typical American food, nothing felt heavy or greasy, which we really appreciated. Even our 9-year old daughter, who usually eats very little, absolutely loved it and ate so well! Highly recommend the Hamachi Crudo, American Wagyu, and Green Circle Chicken with Kimchi. The view overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan skyline is simply breathtaking.
I visited Manhatta twice during a recent business trip from Ireland, and both visits were absolutely outstanding. On our first night, we arrived without a reservation and were asked to wait briefly before being escorted up to the bar area on the 60th floor. We were initially seated at a table back from the bar, but when seats opened up, the staff kindly offered to move us right up to the bar — a thoughtful touch that really set the tone for the evening. The views over midtown Manhattan at night were spectacular, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to return the next evening, this time with a party of eight. Once again, the staff were friendly, professional, and accommodating. After a short wait, we were brought to a beautiful corner alcove with an incredible view through a massive window — the kind of view that makes you just stop and take it all in. A little while later, our server came over and asked if we’d like to move to a couch area. To our surprise, he brought us into the Bay Room — normally reserved for private events — since it wasn’t booked that evening. He gave us a spacious couch area with the most breathtaking view looking west at sunset over Liberty Island. It was truly magical, and without a doubt one of the highlights of my entire week in New York. The ambience at Manhatta is spot-on: background music at just the right level, great for conversation, and a fantastic selection of cocktails and drinks. But what really makes this place stand out is the people — the staff and management. They’re professional, thoughtful, and genuinely kind. It’s clear the whole operation is very well run and guest-focused. I can’t recommend Manhatta highly enough. It’s an elegant, well-managed venue with world-class views and even better service. I’ll definitely be returning the next time I’m in New York.
Visiting Little Italy in New York City with my family was like stepping into a small slice of Europe right in the heart of Manhattan. The moment we walked down Mulberry Street, the atmosphere felt lively, colorful, and full of character. Italian flags hanging across the street, outdoor seating areas, and the aroma of garlic and fresh tomato sauce instantly made us hungry. What I loved most was simply strolling together and exploring the many snack outlets and restaurants lined up one after another. Small bakeries displayed cannoli, biscotti, and pastries that looked too good to resist. We stopped to try fresh cannoli filled on the spot — crispy shells with sweet, creamy ricotta inside. It was absolutely delicious. The restaurants offered everything from classic pasta dishes and wood-fired pizzas to seafood and rich lasagna. Many places had outdoor seating, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Sitting there with my family, enjoying authentic Italian food while watching the crowd pass by, felt special and relaxed. The drinks were just as enjoyable — refreshing mocktails, Italian sodas, espresso, and cappuccino that completed the meal perfectly. There were also small souvenir shops and specialty stores selling Italian sauces, olive oils, and sweets, adding to the cultural charm of the neighborhood. The entire area had a warm, welcoming vibe that made us slow down and truly enjoy the moment. Little Italy is not just about food — it’s about culture, tradition, and togetherness. Visiting with my family made it even more memorable.
Great ambiance, would be a cute date spot with the nice views! My friend and I did the the 4 course meal. I ordered the burrata, octopus, duck, and the an Asian toast dessert. Everything tasted great overall, but wasn't a huge fan of the thick breading on the octopus. Dinner took almost 3 hours, which felt a bit long, but service was attentive the whole time.
Came here and ate at the bar on Thursday night; the bar was already quite packed by 5:30 PM, but we were able to snag two seats. The cocktails are really good and creative. I got the Leaves of Grass and the Diamond Dogs, and both were very easy to drink. For food, we shared a chopped cheese and a burger. Both were delicious. The chopped cheese was definitely quite fancy (lots of shaved truffle, but not too much to be overpowering), and the filling was flavorful and rich. The burger had a nice char on outside but was juicy on the inside. For dessert, we had the coconut mousse, which I liked despite not being so into coconut. Service at the bar was laid back and friendly, and it was fun to watch the hecticness of the bartenders making so many cocktails. The views of the city from the 60th floor were also stunning.
Nice restaurant with view from 60 floor. Best to have window seat tho. You can expect about $200 pp. There is coat checkin on ground floor before going up. Staff are service were attentive and friendly. Food was salty and the sweets too sweet for my taste. This was during their taste menu as of jan 2026
Came for a birthday. Atmosphere is absolutely incredible- great lighting, background music, and energy. Luxury feel without being over the top, and of course the view is great. Tortellini, splendid, sweet shrimp was also great, and drinks were well balanced. Service was 10/10. Only reason for 4 stars is the main dish duck was a bit too chewy and overall dishes were very good, just not making me go “OMG”. That being said, the duck which is in duck salad side dish was perfect- this was the stand out.
This location elevates your dinning experience to 60 story heights and levels. My family and I did the 4 course meal with cocktails. The drinks were excellent. The dishes were all very good to great. The raw shrimp, tuna, lobster and steak were my favorites. Get ready to drop $1k for family dinner, so make sure this is something everybody will enjoy.
Mi Gente!!! Como estamos? (How are we doing?) I will start with the ambience. We came in the night. The city lights illuminated the dark skies and sitting next to a window was a pretty magnificent experience. The music was at an appropriate volume. The lighting, warm and matches the dark tone furniture, they decided to go with. For the young kiddos it is very Instagram worthy. The service like every other restaurant of this caliber, it is right on point. They’re very tentative and have staff walking around periodically making sure that all your needs are being met. Your main waiter is very knowledgeable about the food and the surrounding buildings. Key point I would like to make you aware of: For this restaurant they expected you to know your food choices from appetizers to desserts when they ask, “you what would you like to eat?” I personally like being told if I would like a dessert after I’m done eating my main entrée. I will say that they do state a disclaimer prior to serving you though. They will state that they are a 3 to 4 course meal type of restaurant and they do expect you to state what you like. I would also like to add that prior to coming to our reservation. I was in contact with the staff through email and requested to be by the window and they accommodated my request. I would like to remind mi Gente always be courteous to your staff. They are hard-working people. The food: This is not a trap. I promise you. Choose your three or four course meal depending on how hungry you are, and then ask them to pair the wines with the food. It is an additional 75 bucks. You will not be disappointed every single wine pair was excellent. I have nothing but excellent comments to says. As an appetizer, please start with a tuna it was very savory and with the wine pair, it almost completed the dish. To the main entrée. I would like to say that I was a bit disappointed. Do expect small portions, and a lot of flavor in your main entrée. I got the ribeye. There was A LOT of smoky, salty, and savory taste in every bite from the sauces. When you got to the steak, it was flat in flavor. No rich steak flavor to it. Now I would like to add that this location is a Michelin star recipient. I can see how they receive this star. The fact of the matter is you are dining at a Michelin star restaurant. So it is worth the experience. Lastly, I think I’m gonna add this to my reviews. How much I spent: $424, for the 3 course meal and the wine pair. Well, I hope if you guys do decide to come to Manhattan and dine for the evening. I hope you guys have a good experience like we did.
Beautiful location. The waitress was very "New York". She was very intricate in planning the timing of dishes as they come out. The menu is a set menu with either three or four courses. Everything that came out was very unique. Definitely a science behind each plate. Views were amazing. Absolutely splendid.
Disappointing Experience at Manhatta: Poor Food and Unprofessional Service I recently celebrated my sister’s birthday at Manhatta, and I must say it was a deeply disappointing experience. We had made a reservation well in advance, anticipating a memorable evening, but unfortunately, that was not the case. To start, the food quality was far below expectations. Each course, from the appetizers to the main dishes, was not only small in portion but also lacked flavor and quality. At $120 per person for a three-course meal, we expected a far superior dining experience, but the dishes were simply unappetizing. Another major issue was their policy regarding outside cake. We brought our own cake for the celebration, but were shocked to find that they charged $8 per person just to bring it in. When we attempted to have the cake sliced and served, they attempted to charge us again, this time $8 per slice. This felt not only unreasonable but also quite exploitative. To make matters worse, there was confusion with our course selection. Despite opting for a three-course meal, we were initially billed for four courses, and only after pointing out the error was it corrected. This left a sour taste in our mouths, as it felt like an attempt to overcharge unaware customers. The service was equally disappointing. When we chose to not leave a tip due to the poor experience, the waiter questioned us about it, which was unprofessional. Tipping is optional, and this kind of behavior was unacceptable. Additionally, the wait staff and hostess seemed frustrated with us for not tipping, which only added to the discomfort. We also faced issues with seating. We had requested a window-side table, but were initially seated farther away and only moved after half an hour, with the condition that we had to leave by a certain time. This disrupted our celebration and left us feeling rushed. In summary, while the view from the 60th floor was indeed beautiful, the overall experience was marred by poor food, unreasonable policies, and unprofessional service. I would not recommend Manhatta for special occasions.
