Opinions de Tajin New York
Flavor Taste is a fantastic deli spot in New York! I ordered the protein omelet and it was absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, the ingredients tasted fresh, and everything was cooked perfectly. The place was also very clean and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Definitely a great choice if you’re looking for a tasty and satisfying meal. Highly recommended!
Good breakfast. Reasonable prices for breakfast and coffee. Tallboy cans of beer are expensive, $10.18 plus tax. Friendly and helpful staff.
Wonderful place with a lot of different options. Anything from smoothies and Açaí bowls to burgers. A fantastic Caesar salad. Super nice people. Great place to go close to the One World Trade Center.
It's a deli with superb food. My wife and I celebrated our 40th anniversary in NYC, and this was our goto breakfast. The omelets and rolls were great. We also had their paninis (tuna and Monterey chicken) , delicious. What was really nice was they played or favorite radio station KLOVE. The place was immaculate and had a fresh bright, comfortableness to it, as much as a breakfast place can have
This place is amazing. The sandwiches are fresh and delicious (get the #5 with extra banana peppers and thank me later). The coffee is great and they have a huge selection of drinks and snacks. Service is good too - don’t waste your money at expensive places, go to Flavor Taste.
Flavor Taste was our go-to breakfast spot while staying at a nearby hotel. Their bagel sandwiches and coffee were consistently excellent. They also have a solid selection of packaged food and drinks. In addition, the staff is friendly, and it's an inviting space.
Delicious food, great service and it has everything you need when the hotel wants to scam you out of your money. Forget room service and overpriced diners in that area this is the place to go.
Great 24Hr diner. Lots of options. Fresh ingredients, customisable menu. Thanks for the early morning bfast burrito, team 😋
I stopped by this place on Greenwich and was really impressed! I grabbed a fresh juice and a panini both were delicious. The juice was super refreshing and tasted like it was made right on the spot, and the panini was packed with flavor and perfectly toasted. Great spot if you’re looking for something quick, healthy, and tasty. Highly recommend!
We were looking for a place to get lunch down in midtown manhattan. We chose this place and were extremely satisfied with the food and prices .
Clean and shiny deli with amazing sandwiches! Everything is fresh, delicious, and made with care. Definitely one of the best spots in town!
Great food. Fast service recommend to anyone visiting the area!
This place was great! Fresh made juices and smoothies, also delicious options. The service was amazing!
Great 24/7 spot with just about everything you can think of. The staff is super friendly, its very clean and well kept, and they have seating too.
Excellent deli in the area. Exactly what we needed. They have everything. Super clean and the food is amazing.
Great service healthy food and open 24hrs detox juice and smoothies are amazing don’t pass this place up.
Best manager there I have ever seen
I have been coming here for over 20 years. Always great food and service. This is a real authentic mom and pop Mexican restaurant & bar. I especially love the mole enchiladas.
The food, drinks, and waiter were amazing! You get a lot of what you order, and the overall restaurant had a very cozy and comfortable vibe.
Great spot! Excellent service, the food was delicious and high quality ingredients. The price was very reasonable. Overall, great spot! I’m definitely coming back!
Very accommodating for a large party. Margarita's are fresh and amazing. Food was perfection. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.
Tajin is a Mexican restaurant next door to George’s, an American restaurant, both very near the Rector Street stop on the 1 train. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the chicken enchilada platter (2 enchiladas) with yellow rice and black beans with extra green sauce on four occasions ($18.95). All four experiences were positive. The two enchiladas are large and filled with shredded white chicken meat and a bit of pimento and are covered liberally in melted cheese. The portions are generous and completely fill the plate. I had ice water to drink. The meal was very tasty. I added some habanero green bottled hot sauce that was on the table which added a pleasant heat. There is a complete bar available.
Lovely experience - great food with wonderful and genuine service. Super accommodating and helpful. And the margaritas are delicious (and effective!) - you want Mexican? Just go already !
Breakfast here was GREAT. Coffee was good too. Service was really friendly and inviting. Definitely recommend hitting for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
We stopped in here for a late lunch while on vacation with our family exploring the city. The service was top notch. I forget our waiters name, but he was 30ish maybe, tall, thin, lactose intolerant. Haha. Anyways, I got chicken enchiladas, a pretty staple item on Mexican menus, and I have ordered it plenty of times, in plenty of places. I was not prepared by just how wonderful these would be. The best flavor, with bubbly, toasted cheese on top. Absolutely hands down the best I have ever had. My husband said the guac was fantastic (I’m not an avocado fan). Everyone else was very pleased, including my picky teenager (she had steak tacos.) 10/10, would highly recommend!
The restaurant is small, but the staff is friendly and the food tastes great! During my visit, we had the Carne Asada and the Chicken Enchilada. This is a ground floor establishment with no stairs at the entrance, making it wheel chair friendly. There are vegetarian options on the menu, and the staff is accommodating. Their Pina Colada also tasted great.
Lovely little spot with plenty of character! We stopped in for brunch and left very satisfied. Fair prices and the workers made me feel welcomed from the minute I stepped in. The girlfriend is vegan which can be a nightmare when eating out. However, they are very accommodating with the menu and she was able to eat. The meal was worth every dollar. Ivan, our server, was wonderful and very helpful. Do yourself a favor and stop by if you're in the area!
Authentic Mexican food!! This restaurant is around the corner from the 1 Train and R/W stop off the Rector street stop. The food is pretty authentic. I ordered take out but I have dined her before. This has been around for some time so they are doing something right! Service was quick and very friendly! Definitely highly recommend this place!! Check them out!!
Mexican is not one of my favorite genres, and it's primarily because the combo of my texture-based palate and the crunchy shizzle that hangs out in a lot of the food isn't an ideal fit. If I like a Mexican place, it's usually because it's very, very simple/no frills, and that's Tajin in a nutshell. I came here with my Skipper for lunch on Friday, which was a miserable rainy day, the kind where you're venturing out MAYBE one or two blocks from the office. The walk from the office took approximately three minutes, and we were able to get inside with minimal dampness. I don't think it would be fair to call Tajin a dive; (the Skipper might disagree based on her recounting of a horrendous bathroom visit) but it's a pretty basic interior, with some sugar skull-esque art on the wall, and almost a diner vibe when it came to some of the tables/seating. We sat towards the back, which had a view of the bar area where the waitstaff lingered, making it very easy to get someone's attention for a drink, the check, etc. This might not be a selling point for a ton of people, but I was THRILLED to look over, say, the quesadilla section of the menu and see two or three ingredients per item. You start to lose me at a certain point when the items are covered in peppers, onions, etc., so when I saw that the chicken quesadilla contained nothing but chicken and cheese, I didn't hesitate. The quesadilla showed up within a few minutes, and hit the spot. As you can see from the attached, it came with a small pile of guac on the top, which I spread around the top. The guac was a LITTLE crunchy for my taste, but was relatively smooth. Definitely some solid comfort food on a day where I barely remembered what the sun looked like. I also ordered a few passion fruit margaritas; the Skipper is far more educated about these matters and recommended I get the tajin rim (I of course obliviously went into this place not knowing what Tajin meant) which jived perfectly with the drink - nice little nip to go with the sweet. I'm pretty ambivalent about margs, having had a ton of bad ones that practically sent me into insulin shock, so it's always a pleasant surprise when someone mixes them properly and you don't end up crashing later. It was light and tasty, and I'd absolutely get it again. This is probably two or three blocks from a pretty hardcore touristy area, but it certainly gets some of that foot traffic. As a result, they could definitely charge more for the food/drinks but I thought it was very reasonable for the neighborhood. The Skipper had a glass of wine that was $9, the margs were $12, and my quesadilla was around $13, I believe. Given that there are nearby restaurants that unhesitatingly offer $40/$50 entrees, you could do a lot worse to your wallet if you wanted to. We're adding this one to the list for future visits. Convenient, cheap and tasty.
So! Not San Diego by any stretch of the imagination! I’ll apologize for this review but if you know a real Quesadilla, you know what you are looking for. The place is great and staff is awesome. The quesadillas, not so much… I’ve had cardboard that tastes better. Eatable, yes. Enjoyable, definitely not. SoCal kid speaking here. If you have not been to San Diego, then this is great!
Since the reviews looked pretty good, I decided to come for a late lunch on a weekday. The server got my order wrong (brought me chicken instead of beef), but they were friendly and the mistake was rectified. The restaurant has a nice outdoor area for when the weather is nice. The food, however, was rather lacking in both flavour and presentation. The flavour of the California Burrito I ordered was quite bland.
I ordered an omelet with chicken, spinach, mushroom and hash brown on the side. At the end I received ham, beef and pepper and potatoes on the side. When I come back, they said I’m supposed to check what I received. Loony. On top of that, the food was tasteless and I had stomach pain after that. Please avoid.
Not sure how this place has 5 stars. It’s awful. Don’t let the nice looking store fool you. Terrible, slow and rude service. I asked for the turkey avocado sandwich. Guy says they’re out of turkey. I can see several different types of turkey right in the deli case, but okay. Then he says pick something else on the menu. I said why don’t you tell me what you have because I clearly can’t pick right. So he goes chicken quesadilla. I said okay fine. The menu says it comes with chips. I ask him what kind. He goes what? I said what kind of chips does it come with? He goes it doesn’t come with chips. I said it says right on the menu it does. The chicken was very dry, not fresh at all and not good tasting. Also way overpriced. Don’t go here!
