Finally for the first time in a long time, I was able to get a steak tostada! I felt like I was in Food Heaven. The pina colada was perfectly balanced. The guacamole was a mild spice and it was made perfect it had just enough kick that I like. My server and bartender Andreas was so welcoming and friendly. I even got to meet the owner who is very sweet and kind. It was amazing and the photos don't do it justice. You have to come here and try everything or just about anything your heart desires.

Tequila Chito's is a superb customer-oriented restaurant. I easily made a reservation for about 20 people to celebrate my birthday. Tony, our host, was friendly and very accommodating. The food was also great (it is truly authentic Mexican food)!! I got some cake and a birthday shot of some kind that was on FIRE. I loved it all and I would totally go back the next time I visit NYC 100% Tony, thank you again so much. I really appreciated everything for the celebration!!

Loved it. I was sad because the menu was limited due to COVID, but my food was great! The cook even came out to see how we wanted our food and came back to check if we needed anything else. The drinks were also good and it wasn’t too pricey.

I won't say that it is the best restaurant in the world, but it is one of the few places in New York where you can have a quiet bite to eat, have some cocktails or beer, and what can I say about the food, it is very tasty, my only complaint is that the food portions in the orders are very small, I invite you to dress in the Chelsea neighborhood in NYC.

This is a nice cozy place for some good Mexican food. I was recently on a trip to Mexico and this place really took me back. The wait staff was very attentive and kind. They always seem to have a drink special going on so this is a great pre~game spot. And they don't skimp on the alcohol by the way. Food was tasty and portions were on point, not too much not to little. Price point is good for the amount of food you get and the guacamole is made fresh at the table to your liking which you can't beat. All in all I would definitely recommend this place.

12/2022: was in need of some Mexican, so i came back only to find out, there's NO gas in the building. So the menu is very small and mostly appetizers. I had a margarita and was on my way to find dinner. Was told probably 2 months until the gas is back on... So ask before you sit down. 2018: Stopped in for a late bite. Had the chili (photo). It was good and a good portion! At least a pint :) so I was happy. The chips were good, as well as the salsa. My waiter was really good, he brought me a free small dish of guacamole, how nice! The margarita was good as well... I could actually tell there was tequila in there! ;) It's been a while since I've eaten here... But have been coming here since 2010. Happy that things are a bit better then in the recent past. I'll be back soon.

This is a great place with happy hour throughout the day on nights and weekends! A really cool spot. The food is good and the staff is always nice and friendly. It seems I almost always sit in Eric's section and he is always great. It is alway a fun time there and it is lively with music but not so loud that you can't carry in a conversation when the restaurant is crowded. There are television screens for those that want to watch the game.

Saturday 5/27... 7:30p.m arrived about 5 tables being served extremely short staffed ( 1 behind bar 1 waiter 1 cook) took 15 minutes for menus then 20 for water to arrive after having to ask a second time, the waiter was overtasked between helping kitchen and managing the tables and running the drinks from bar..... food took 1 hour + to come out, food was seasoned well but ... the steak enchilada topped with cheese had a few pieces of cheese on top and little sauce inside and out and was very dry ,sad to see at $25 ! I use to come here frequently before covid and was eager to support it after. I dont know if i will be returning.....

Food wise, there isn't much of an option. Food is way over priced for the portion size and quality. $14 for a small cup of guacamole and salsa tasted like spicy tomato sauce (the guac was good tho). The taquitos asados were $5 per and was only a tiny tortilla with plain chopped up chicken with a side of chopped onions, cilantro, and salsa Verde. The tostada was decent but was also small. However, the drinks are really cheap and are good.
