Opinions de The Laurels New York
Food is absolutely excellent. And staff is attentive and amazing. Will recommend to all my friends !
This place is great!! Their drinks are good all round, including draft beers, and good cocktails. The waiters are very friendly and the decoration is always pretty and fun. The food is surprisingly excellent. One of the best features of coming to this place. I recommend the burger and the curry chicken/fries. The best app is the crispy shrimp!
The staff are genuinely the best super attentive without hovering AND they always have a great recommendation for food or drinks
Authentic and professional I felt they knew exactly what they were doing I went in with neck pain and left feeling very light the best wellness investment
Stumbled upon this bar - it’s amazing! Our server Michaela was unbelievable - so funny, kind and also loved her espresso martinis. Smashburger was amazing! I will be back
Favorite spot in the neighborhood! Love the staff the drinks and the food. Great atmosphere as well:) staple in my rotation
The food is excellent and the service is great too. I love eating there.
The laurels brunch is amazing. I just had one of the best avocado toasts I’ve ever had AND the mimosas do not skip out on the Prosecco. If u see Kevin and Amen there start chatting they are fabulous.
We had a great time! Happy hour was fantastic and bartenders were amazing!
I hosted my engagement party here. Let me tell you - I wish I could get engaged again just to be able to host another one here. The level of service and hospitality we experienced was uncanny. We felt like a part of the family. On top of that. The food was DELICIOUS and the drinks did not stop flowing. I would recommend The Laurels to anyone looking to host an event or just grab a bite in the city.
I was here with my wife two weeks ago and met the owner Kevin. He and his staff were excellent! We came in for a quick bite and a few drinks. The food was great too! We shared the Green Chickpea Hummus and Thai Chicken Wings. Both were great, nice size portions and really fresh ingredients. The chef no doubt takes pride in his/her menu. Look forward to coming back for more and getting more of a taste of their eclectic menu...there really is something for everyone! The bartenders were great too...yes, buybacks do exist here...treat them well and they will treat you well!
The laurels is great! I reached out to them on a Wednesday and was able to host my 29th birthday party with about 25 to 30 people that Saturday (just 4 days after reaching out). They were really accommodating and even though it was last minute I was able to place an order for catering platters for my party and they answered all my questions promptly. The best part is there's no rental fee or minimum spend to host a party here, they just ask that you put a credit card down upon booking as there is a fee if you no-show, which is understandable. I was a little bit nervous as I haven't been here before, but when I walked in the space was perfect for what I needed. We had the whole back area and they gave us a section of the bar just for our party to ensure we had space to order drinks from. The staff was so helpful upon our arrival and let us stay however long we wanted even though I originally reserved the space to have a three hour party, they let us stay almost fivr hours, and we're very nice about it. Food and drinks were good and service was attentive/prompt. I would definitely recommend this place for a small to midsize party or even dinner/drinks and will be back for sure!
I went pretty early in the evening, so I can't speak to the full atmosphere. But the drinks - The Laurel, in particular - are excellent. Our bartender was attentive (and attractive) and quickly followed up on any request. The steak frites was so good that I finished the plate before I realized it. Definitely a cool and affordable spot to check out.
The place is very warm and comfortable. I recommend the place and the food too. Highly recommended.
Paloma’s were on point! thank you to the bartender, Ashley - wonderful service, made my afternoon a little brighter
As a New Jersey resident, I frequent back to the city just for the Laurels. Their brunch is spectacular with the most amazing staff. Very accommodating and friendly people, the food is fantastic and the drinks are amazing.
The Laurels is an incredibly welcoming and cozy neighborhood spot that offers something for everyone at anytime of day, week, or year! The menu is creative and tasty. The staff are friendly and service impeccable. The indoor/ outdoor dining options present the perfect space for catching a game or a brunch or happy hour with friends on a warm day. 10/10 recommend. Cheers! 🥂
Food- 10/10 (please try to the short rib poutine Drinks- 10/10(Guinness drinkers make sure you stop by) Music- 10/10( one of the best locations in the city for some Irish Trad sessions) Whole staff are very friendly and the work environment is clearly healthy, and Kevin is an absolute legend
My waitress was absolutely amazing! So sweet, attentive, and made my experience so enjoyable. Truly a gem!
I had a fantastic brunch at The Laurels The pancakes were fluffy, and the coffee was top-notch. Can't wait to return
Best. Night. Ever!! Kevin and his team helped me and my friend plan a huge trivia night for 50 of our friends and I cannot rave more about how lovely it was to work with them. They were nothing but kind and professional throughout a very busy party, helped us with setup, and made everyone feel at home. The food was delicious and filling and the drinks flowed -- everything was well-priced and still we had no problem hitting our minimum spend. Those truffle fries kept me going! The charming location is central for friends who are spread out across the boroughs/NJ too. Lots of room, and they were so flexible when we had team changes in seating and when we ran a bit late. Even when we left, there were lots of people who were flowing in late on a Monday night and excited to be there. I will be going back -- such a fabulous memory, thanks to everyone at The Laurels!!
The bar staff and the wait staff was fabulous. Had a fantastic drink and wonderful food. 10/10 recommend!!
Just walking around looking for a nice bar, and came across this one with the advertising of hot apple cider on a cold night. Ended up ordering “the laurels club” drink and it was amazing, tasted like a jolly rancher flavor (like watermelon or strawberry?) will definitely be bringing people back here
After a long day in the city, Ashley was the kindest server! The short rib poutine was amazing.
Randomly walked into this place and my server Mikayla was the sweetest ever with the best service and really made me want to make this my new local spot!!! I will definitely be back! I enjoyed an espresso martini and a rigatoni that she recommend and it did not disappoint 😃
We were back in town for a sweet 16 and came upon Laurels while going for a walk. We arrived at 10:30am ordered the unlimited Mimosas and food. Everything was great and nicely priced. We were able to sit in the patio section and open all the window. NYC had an unusual warm day of 77 degrees. LOVED it. Our waitress was very nice and sweet thank you Kierra. We were drinking the mimosas sort of fast so she just brought us a Carafe which was better for her as well. Less trips. By the time we left around 1pm they had a nice crowd.
The owner, Kevin, and his team were absolutely incredible. I honestly can’t say enough good things about The Laurels. I hosted my birthday party here with about 20 guests in the side room, and it was perfect. Every guest had a drink in hand all night, the food got amazing feedback, and the staff were super friendly. Kevin was incredibly responsive to all my emails during the planning process and jumped on any calls when asked. As someone who plans multiple events throughout the year, they made the whole process completely seamless. Whether you're planning a private event or just stopping by for drinks and food, I 100% recommend The Laurels!
The Laurels has such a warm inviting vibe the food is always fresh AND the bartenders really know their craft a true East village gem
Loved the vibe—great music, friendly crowd, and killer mimosas. Definitely coming back for happy hour
The friendliest staff and the food was very good - I usually eat at top rated restaurants but the chicken n Caesar’s salad and the artichoke dip were top notch.
I love how tasty the food is and how cute everything is From the plates to the bar Fast and attentive service and I couldn't take a picture of my food because it was too delicious.
The electrolyte-infused brunch is a game-changer. No hangover after a day of partying at The Laurels .
Ben was an amazing waiter!! Excellent service, super professional. I felt like I had dinner in Ireland tonight. Great ambience and loved the live Irish music!!
Incredible experience from start to finish Everything we ordered was perfect
Had the best time in the Laurels with Paul bartending and Kiana serving. Let me play music on request and brought great vibes the whole night!
Great new brunch spot. Conveniently located on 14th and 2av. Bottomless brunch was soooo good, we had 5 different flavored mimosas. Brunch entrees were affordable and tasty. JJ the bartender was friendly, knowledgeable and ensured we had a great visit. Stop by and enjoy all this new spot has to offer.
Wednesday trivia night at The Laurels is so much fun! Great drinks, friendly staff, and a perfect midweek plan. The cocktails are top‑notch
The Laurels is hands down the best brunch spot. The French toast is unbelievable and the electrolyte mimosas are genius. Perfect place to start the weekend
The Laurels has the best brunch in New York! The tortilla of the day and French toast are incredible. The unlimited electrolyte mimosas are a game‑changer—no hangover after brunch
This restaurant is ideal for a romantic date night. The décor is beautiful, the cocktails are creative, and the vibe is cozy. We’ll definitely be back
As a longtime resident of the neighborhood, the Laurels is a great addition. Chill atmosphere with an upscale clientele. Paul, one of the bartendars serves great drinks and runs a tight ship on the bar.
This place knows how to do brunch right. The tortilla of the day was delicious, and the pancakes were fluffy and rich. Bonus points for the hangover-proof mimosas
We came as a group of 4 people for brunch on a Sunday and the weight staff was extremely accommodating. My salad had a little too much dressing for my taste, I asked for more greens to add and they brought it over immediately. The rest of my friends had different meals and leave great reviews on taste, quality and quick service. We highly recommend this bottomless electrolyte brunch, it was a hot day and it was perfect for a summer brunch get together.
Visited the laurels with a voucher and it was only short of spectacular! I was not expecting much because of the value but I was wrong. My server Mikayla was very friendly and made us feel welcome instantly. I’m not usually one to write reviews but this is an exception! She recommend the short rib hash and took her time telling us what her favourite drinks were and what she suggests we have, she was not wrong thank you to the laurels and milayla for making our evening so enjoyable and tasty, we will be back!!
Came in during the day for a quick drink and it was a great experience. Great prices on their happy hour menu and our bar tender was awesome.
I stumbled upon this place cause my sister is having surgery near by, I didn’t even realize they had just opened until I sat down and ordered. I got two drinks and the hummus plate, everything was really fantastic. The hummus plate was gooorgeous, I ended up snapping a picture. Very tasty and fresh. The za’aatar pita was 🔥 My sister will be in recovery for a couple days so I’ll def be back during my visit to NY. Highly recommend. Great food, really nice inside, wonderful bartender! 10/10
As a longtime resident of the neighborhood, the Laurels is a great addition. Chill atmosphere with an upscale clientele. Paul, one of the bartendars serves great drinks and runs a tight ship on the bar. He and owner Kevin, make it a point to get to know the folks in the neighborhood and make all welcome. Recommend you all check it out.
Absolutely loved my experience at The Laurels. The staff was friendly, and the live music added a great vibe to the evening. A must-visit
Just celebrated my engagement at The Laurels over the weekend. Communication with the "Events" team was smooth and they ensured I had everything I needed. The space comfortably accommodated our group of around 70 people, with private access to both the main bar area and the outdoor space (an unexpected bonus!). My friends and family had an amazing time and haven’t stopped raving about the food and drinks.
The bartenders are always lovely, I have found it a great spot to stop by for lunch to relax for a second. Decor is great, ambiance is nice, the drinks are amazing. Ashley and Micheala especially are amazing. Good spot!
Incredible food, beautiful holiday decorations, bartender Sean was very warm and inviting and awesome to chat with. Definitely will be back!!
We dropped in for a drink and a quick snack before seeing ASSSSCATS at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater across the street! It was a cute busy Friday and the place was happening! Beautiful people everywhere! The wings were fantastic! My husband had a non-alcoholic drink and I had a fancy cocktail! Definitely a cute spot for the winter but it looks like a grand spot for the warmer months with their outdoor seating! Highly recommend!
I was fascinated by their service; it's so elegant and peaceful. They have great food and the coffee is top-notch. Definitely my favorite place.
We hosted a birthday party at The Laurels and it was fantastic. The staff was attentive, the brunch menu was delicious, and the cocktails kept everyone happy. Five stars all the way
I love this place. The atmosphere is truly intimate and perfect for a night out with friends or a date. Their brunch menu is absolutely delicious, and their cocktails are simply amazing.
I came here for brunch with friends and we were blown away The French toast is out of this world crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and topped with the most delicious berries. And can we talk about the bottomless electrolyte mimosas Genius idea. No hangover, just good vibes. The staff was super friendly and the vibe was perfect for a chill Sunday
While the prices are slightly on the higher side, the quality of ingredients, portion sizes, and overall dining experience justify every penny. The wine list was thoughtfully curated, offering something for every palate. Leaving the restaurant felt like stepping out of a well‑crafted story—pleasant memories and a promise to return
The experience was very good. The service was attentive and fast. We tried the Mini Laurel Sliders and they were a hit, with juicy meat and soft bread. We will definitely return.
Just had a fantastic meal at The Laurels in NYC! The smash burger was incredible—juicy and perfectly cooked, with all the right toppings. And their lavender spritz? So refreshing! But the best part was our server, Ben. He was super attentive and made the whole experience even better. If you go, definitely ask for him!
Ate here from a Groupon coupon that provided 2 entrees and 2 cocktails. I got the EV nightshade which was really sweet and delicious with Thai wings. Service was nice, we got there around 11 ish and I was surprised that the restaurant was empty on a Friday morning!! I’m including pictures and I would rate this spot 10/10 and would recommend to other people
I’m a native New Yorker living on the west coast now (aka missing New York), and when I visit home The Laurels is now my official first stop to satisfy those been-away-too-long blues. It’s just quintessential NYC. It has everything you’d want from a classic Irish pub, but it’s so much more than that too: outstanding cocktails, a whole cafe menu, excellent food (try the fried shrimp they’re suspiciously good), and a classy, spacious, open-air atmosphere that feels sunny and somehow nostalgic even if you’ve never been there. You’d also be hard-pressed to find more genuinely good-natured (and genuinely Irish) management: walking in there feels friendly and welcoming. If you haven’t stopped in yet… well, get after it. It’s the kind of place you want to be a regular. Sláinte 🍻🍹🍸.
I found this place through the app "Pulsd" where 2 people get 1 entree each and bottomless drinks for $39! I believe you can also find the same deal on Groupon. Reservations were easy to make by dming their instagram or through Resy. It wasn't pretty crowded on Saturday noon so we got to sit where we like. The inside of the restaurant was cute and had ample seating. I went with their eggs benedict and potatoes and thought it was great! I liked how they didn't drown it in hollandaise sauce similar to what other places do. The spicy sriracha hollandaise wasn't too spicy and added a kick of flavor. Although I do with the portions were a little bigger, even by adding a bit more potatoes. The bottomless mimosas were strong to me! After 4 drinks I started feeling "happy." With the pulsd deal I believe you can either choose between mimosas, peach bellinis, and bloody marys. Service was attentive and made sure our glasses were kept full. Bonus: they have super clean and restrooms and theres also a nice park 1 block down in case you need to recover lol
I’m so excited this new place has popped up in the east village! First of all, the setting is so pretty and romantic. The food is so fresh and flavorful, and the cocktails are to die for. 10/10 recommend The Laurels Club drink… so yummy. The service and people are lovely. Will be going back for date night and with friends!
Went to this spot for a work happy hour. The reservation process was extremely easy and the owner was so accommodating since most people were coming from work, we were going to not arrive all together at the same time and they were willing to adjust. The food and drinks were good! Happy hour pricing was honestly great! there were 6 of us total and got multiple drinks and the bill was quite reasonable. The place itself was small but the decor and ambiance were nice. They also had trivia night during the time we were there which was fun! Our group ended up winning first place and got a $75 gift card for our next visit.
Overall rating: 4.2 Okay spot in union square / ev. I went to watch the Super Bowl and it was a chill spot. I got the spinach and artichoke dip and it was not good. It was very healthy and there was little cheese 😭😭 I was hoping to veg out but alas I mostly just ate spinach. My friends got the fries and said they were good. I’m not sure if I would come here again, but it looks like it’s popular for brunch. Seems like a better place for 20s than 30s, but that’s just my opinion.
My friend and I came for appetizers and the Thai chili wings did not disappoint! I would come back for these for sure, perfectly sweet, tangy, and crispy. The sliders were a miss and would skip those next time as they were quite soggy. The atmosphere was a little quiet but it was a cold winter evening and honestly made it a nice spot to catch up with friends. Happy hour drink pricing was also pretty great!
This is a cozy pub like restaurant and bar in the EV, with an Irish touch as the two owners are Irish! They had incredible Christmas decorations up. The food was high-quality with generous portions. I will have to come back to try their bottomless brunch! The short rib poutine was fantastic.
Little bar/restaurant in a super convenient location. Great for drinks after work or a snack in the summer outdoors. Food and drinks are kinda exactly what you expect, nothing super stand out but does the job. Very expansive menu with a bunch of cuisine options too. Burger was actually pretty good! Would recommend for a casual vibe
Went for a brunch on a random Saturday afternoon. The place was pretty full but luckily I found a last minute reservation. We were seated outdoors. The food was great and the bottomless mimosas were pretty strong. They were out of peach for the Bellini’s which was slightly disappointing to us, but we had a good time overall.
We went here for brunch and had a burger and Mediterranean Grilled Chicken sandwich. The burger was a little spartan and I wasn't keen on the flame grilled pattie, it just tasted burnt to me, but do understand some people like that. The grilled chicken sandwich was pleasant and the fries that came with the dish were nice and crispy too. It was nice and quiet since it was past 2pm when we arrived at the restaurant and the server was nice and very efficient.
We arrived on a Sunday around 2:15 pm. The female server mentioned she was new and didn’t know how to make a Long Island Iced Tea, which should’ve been a red flag. We had a Groupon for brunch, but it wasn’t clear in the ad that it only covered one drink. So, we decided to upgrade to the bottomless drink package. My partner ordered the chicken sandwich, which looked great, and I went with the steak and eggs. The steak was fantastic, but the green eggs didn’t seem right. I mentioned it to the server, but she just responded with an “oh.” As we were getting ready to leave, we asked for another bottle of mimosas. The server said no, and the manager kindly explained that we were already getting a discount with the Groupon, so we couldn’t continue drinking on that deal. I found that response a bit off-putting. Overall, while the steak and sandwich were good and the bar had a nice atmosphere, the service and policies could definitely use some improvement.
I really want to put a 3.5 but they don't have that option. Groupon is what got me going here for bottomless brunch on Saturday afternoon. I got the brisket hash and we ordered our drinks which the option was mimosas or Bellinis. The hash was good and filling I'll give them that. As far as the drinks go they was weak, kind of expected that since it was bottomless more juice than anything. Our server was ok could've been a bit more friendly or bubbly but I guess that's New Yorkers for you. Glad they didn't do an auto grad and we just had to pay taxes on the Groupon. Overall it was alright just need a bit more improvements in some areas.
The Laurels Layout/atmosphere *Bar area (fake greenery hanging from ceiling); high tops; two booths; green color palette; Irish influences Food/drink *Aged Tenderloin Steak Sandwich (Gruyere cheese, arugula, caramelized onions and black garlic aioli on ciabatta bread) with French fries - OK; steak in big chunks; cooked properly but no signature flavor instead the onions & aioli were the dominant taste; bread held up; fries were dusted with Parmesan (not a fan)
Not worth a visit and definitely not a cocktail bar. Cocktails were overly sweet to the point you couldn't consume them (which we didn't after and single sip). Staff was great and attentive, but even while 1/4 full you couldn't hear yourself think. Plus add the fact that there was toilet water overflowing from the bathroom, this visit was a huge disappointment. Would call this more a college bar than anything and other comments were definitely not accurate.
I got FOOD POISONING from the steak! My boyfriend’s parents also got food poisoning. Please avoid this restaurant!!! I was throwing up all day and had terrible stomach pains. I got the Aged Tenderloin Steak HandHeld with fries. The fries were bad and not seasoned at all. My guess is that they don’t keep their meat at a food safe temperature and the meat goes bad, but they serve it anyways. They also gave my boyfriend a reused pizza and randomly put red pepper flakes on it and he asked for a plain cheese pizza with no toppings and the waitress confirmed, saying it will not have any other toppings! The first pizza came out less than 10 minutes after we ordered which was odd. Then the waitress tried to argue with us and said “oh we always put red pepper flakes is our normal plain cheese pizza”. Like, no? So we reordered another pizza which they actually seemed to make fresh since it took over 15 minutes after the rest of the food came out, but it was burnt and they STILL couldn’t just give him a PLAIN CHEESE PIZZA. They randomly topped the plain pizza with Parmesan cheese. To add to this terrible experience, the meal was over price. $120+ for 4 people. The service was ok. The atmosphere was ok too, but was smaller than we expected. It’s not really a dinner place, more of a lunch and bar place. I would give 0 stars for food if I could as this was a horrific experience. I went there on Friday night and it is now Sunday morning and I’m still having stomach pains. DO NOT GO HERE! AVOID!
I had high hopes for this restaurant and was looking forward to dining here after attending an event nearby. I ordered the pasta with shrimp, and was surprised when the shrimp arrived on skewers, which felt unusual for a pasta dish. Upon arrival, the shrimp had a noticeably strong fishy odor, but I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, the first bite had a distinct ammonia-like aftertaste. I tried a second piece to be sure, and experienced the same result. At that point, I chose not to continue eating. It was a disappointing experience, especially given the expectations I had for the evening. The waitress was very nice and offered a round of drinks on the house. However, we left and went to another restaurant because I was still starving. I’m praying I don’t get food poisoning.
Saltiest burger I've ever had, with a dry bun. Couldn't taste any other flavors. Place was empty, but the waiter never refilled our glasses. He offered at the end of the meal. We asked for more water, and he left us a carafe.
