Opinions de ThisBowl New York
Asian fusion with a delightful flair. Beautiful 3 story spot with quaint seating. Loved the grilled octopus which was so tender and paired with purple potatoes. Loved the big tuna wafer, mayo base layered with tuna. It’s like nothing over had before but decadence at its best. Crispy rice tuna was delicious. Tried the lobster roll and I’d probably pass on it next time. Other star of the show was the mochi ice cream. Tried all the flavors! Wonderful and attentive service and a special spot in SoHo.
Outstanding restaurant definitely better than the neighbors directly next to them and also a way better value. Service was fast and attentive to all request. The food was absolutely amazing. Everything we had was five stars. Will be one of my must visit spots when visiting new york.
I had an outstanding dining experience at BONDST. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt both elegant and relaxed, creating the perfect setting for an unforgettable evening. The staff was professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making sure every detail was taken care of without being overbearing. The food was simply exceptional. The sushi was among the freshest I’ve ever had in New York, beautifully presented with a balance of flavors that truly stood out. Beyond the sushi, every dish we tried was crafted with precision and creativity, showing the chef’s passion and attention to detail. BONDST is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience. Whether for a special occasion, a business dinner, or simply a night out to enjoy outstanding Japanese cuisine, this place delivers on every level. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a first-class dining experience in the city.
Just an amazing experience!!! Appetizers, entrees, rolls, desserts: everything looks and tastes like supreme artisanship. They put extreme effort into service and presentation.
Bond Street is a sleek and sexy sushi spot with cocktails and quality food to match. As a reviewer for luxury interiors, I highly recommend checking it out. The best part is how good the food is. I like the combination of flavors for the dishes. We had the tuna pizza, beef wagyu, crab roll, shrimp roll and short rib gyoza. Our server was incredibly sweet. Highly recommend trying the Japanese whiskey cocktails too. I’ll be back! Thank you BondStreet
What a find of a place for lunch across the Vessel! I was looking for a quiet place with good food and a view of the Vessel and I sure found it. Not only was the pre-fixed lunch delicious (I ordered Tuna tartar, sushi mix, and ricotta dessert) but the service was impeccable! The host took my luggage to store it while having Lunch. Then, my server Andre took special care of me and celebrated my birthday with a candle with my dessert tray. This made my day so special and memorable. Thank you very much! I hope to return again someday.
Had lunch there and the value for money is amazing. We sat at the bar and really enjoyed.
My boyfriend and I just moved to NYC and we got recommended BondSt by a friend. We pass by on a Friday to see if maybe we could snag some seats at the bar since we didnt have a reservation and Im honestly glad they didnt have any seating. Tom served us at the bar and was absolutely the most delightful person I think Ive ever come across. He was super attentive, gave us great meal recommendations, and more. I dont typically write reviews but Tom’s hospitality really went above and beyond all expectations. If you come here, sit at the bar and ask for Tom! You wont regret it Also get the short rib and red snapper tacos>>>
This was an amazing meal. The sushi and specialty dishes were some of the best I have had. Our server was absolutely amazing, with excellent recommendations and very attentive. The prices were high but we felt it was warranted given the quality and quantity. Highly recommend to anyone on a date, in a party or even for business.
I chose here to celebrate our 3rd anniversary. We had a great time at Bondst. We got 6 different cocktails ( I love smoky mule!) big eye tuna tarts Grilled octopus Spicy crab crispy rice (last time we had tuna crispy rice) Omakase (8pc) which was the best best All of the dishes were amazing! At last we had dessert and treats on the house, which made our hearts warm. Love this place, and will come back soon.
Had a nice time here last night. Service was awesome. Food was good overall, but didn't love the mushroom rice. Torro was nice. One weird thing, when we asked the Maitre'd's helper if we could get a table on the main floor, he was very weird about it and sort of pushed back. Didn't seem to want to even ask the Maitre'd about it. I thought it was a pretty normal request given the stairs were closed and we'd have to take an elevator upstairs.
As we sat down, the very friendly staff handed over some edemame which comes complimentary. We went ahead and ordered 4 apps and a bunch of sushi. The tuna tarts are a must try. We ordered the Scottish salmon tartar which was apart of their specials menu for the night which was extraordinary. We also got the crispy cauliflower as well which was also very good. We both thought that the tuna crispy rice was our favorite app. It was perfectly crispy and the tuna on top was just outstanding. We ordered a few different types of toro and each was better than the last. The fish was super fresh, the staff was all very friendly and very attentive. We ended our meal with the chocolate meltdown which was fabulous as well. I'd highly recommend and I look forward to dinning here again.
Everything about this lounge was IMPRESSIVE, from the walk in to the food . Music was vibing . The food comes out quick , so fresh , basically melt in your mouth quality . Drinks were delicious . Desert , omg I was so impressed and full of. I am now a sushi person because of this lounge . Great for date or gals night out .
I’m more than 15 years of traveling the globe I’m eating at famous restaurants worldwide… I may have found the best. The food was absolutely amazing. Each Japanese inspired dish was flavorful and complex. The cocktails were out of this world and in the most incredible way, it all pails in comparison to the service. Andre knew the menu in every direction and made perfect recommendations while maintaining a friendly demeanor and having fun while being a professional. I could not recommend a restaurant more and feel very honored to have eaten here!!!
This is my 3rd time dining at BondST and this was my best experience yet. We arrived Friday evening, although I had mistakenly reserved the table for Saturday. The hostesses were so gracious and quickly found a way to accommodate us, despite my error. What made our experience next level was the service Devin L provided. Devin was welcoming and gave us the best recommendations when it came to our food and drinks. Honestly, Devin provided us with one of our best dining experiences in Manhattan (rivaling the service we experienced at 4 Charles). Pro tip: Be sure to ask for the “new” lychee martini, followed by the “OG”, and order everything Devin recommends! Thank you for making our date night so special. 💕
Wow!! Everything we ordered was delicious. I don't eat meat or sea food so I had the Red Snapper Taco, amazing! Tuna Crispy Rice, mama mia so good! And the Pan Roasted Salmon, so so delicious!! I know it was a lot of fish, but each dish had it own unique flavor. They have 2 locations.
7th time being here. Food is always great quality. But out of all the times I’ve been here, Devin really made a difference. Loved his attention to detail, suggested I finally try a new dish which I rarely ever do. The yellowtail sezchuan was actually so good. Glad he suggested it. Also just super engaging and felt like I was geniunely being paid attention to and cared about which often gets overlooked in these high volume expensive restaurants
We’ve been to This Bowl NYC multiple times and have seen Will working at both locations, and he is truly outstanding. Every interaction with him has been consistently professional, warm, and welcoming. He goes out of his way to make sure each customer feels taken care of, and he represents the brand so well. His attention to detail and positivity really elevate the experience and make us want to keep coming back. Will is an absolute asset to the team, and we are always happy to see him there.
This place is absolutely incredible. Their miso salmon and miso eggplant are out of this world. All veggies super fresh and love the Asian toppings like the spiced scallion crunch or tamari almonds. Their dressings all of them are out of this world. Seriously I could eat here every single day!!!
I visited ThisBowl for the first time today and it absolutely blew me away. From the moment I walked in, Ian made the experience so welcoming. He took the time to explain the menu in a super friendly and approachable way, offering great suggestions without making it overwhelming. Thanks to him, I ordered the chili chicken bowl with half white rice, half cabbage as my base—and added avocado (pro tip: don’t skip it!). The flavors were incredible. The chili chicken had the perfect amount of heat—spicy but still rich and flavorful. The bowl was veggie-forward in the best way, with fresh ingredients that left me feeling great, not heavy. And the chicken? Perfectly cooked and tender. Everything worked in harmony, from the warm rice and crisp cabbage to the creamy avocado and vibrant spices. The fast-casual setting makes it a great option for a quick bite, but honestly, the quality of the food and the thoughtful service made it feel like much more than that. Huge thanks to Ian for making my first visit a 10/10—I'll definitely be back!
Got the OG with wasabi mayo drizzle. The bowl was great and blended well. I got brown and white rice; both were cooked to an ideal consistency. When you take a bite, the ingredients complement each other greatly. It is also very filling-3/4 of the bowl started to fill me up. The interior of the restaurant is unique. I will definitely be coming back!
I cannot say enough good things about thisbowl! After months of wanting to try this viral spot, I finally stopped in for dinner. I got lucky during the holiday week - no line for me! With the cashier’s patience and suggestions, I opted for the following custom bowl: cabbage & sushi rice, miso glazed salmon, avocado, sweet potato, cucumber, cilantro, broccoli, ginger, umami crunch, dressing on the side. I took it home, and it was incredibly flavorful, healthful, satisfying, and 10/10 on texture. Cannot wait to try another creation. Love that everything is gluten free // very allergen friendly. Every staff member was extremely polite too!
We went on a Thursday evening around 630. As the night progressed, it got more and more crowded and the music got louder than when we first arrived. If you prefer a place where you could hear yourself, this is not the place to be on a Thursday night. We shared 4 items and each had 2 drinks. While we didn't walk out feeling hungry or unsatisfied, I feel I might have gotten more elsewhere for the same price. However, as they say, it's the company that makes it fun. The service was good and we had a good time.
Love it! Gets super busy but the staff is extremely efficient and kind throughout which is impressive in itself. The kitchen is open so you can see the entire assembly line which is kind of fun. You see the whole process which makes it feel like you’re not really waiting that long at all. Didn’t get a photo of my drink but their sodas are really delicious and not too sweet. Feels super healthy which not sure if it is but who cares- it’s delectable. This whole bowl is amazing and balances out so well. The salmon tastes fresh and it’s a good portion that kept me full. Love all the sauces, toppings, textures, and flavor profiles. I love this bowl I got too much to change my order. Hard to find a place to sit but just take it to go!
Feels like the cool place to be when in Soho and in search for lunch. Music vibes on point and a mixed crowd of working locals, students and “polished” adult characters. The concept of an elevated rice bowl mostly with miso and other asian condiments. Very-VERY tasty, combos are great. Loved the marinated almond crunch toppings. On the pricier side. Not many veg add-ons or healthy grain subs. No calorie indicators. More of a grab and go. Rotates fast but not much space to sit and enjoy, space feels a bit stripped to bare necessities.
I went on a Sunday around 2pm and ordered the Lemon-Chile bowl with salmon sashimi. There was barely a line, and my bowl was ready within ten minutes. The bowl was delicious, and a good enough portion for me. I liked the mix of flavors- it felt fresh, making it the perfect meal to have after a work-out class. My friend got the OG bowl with Salmon sashimi and also enjoyed it. There's limited seating space for the crowd the place gets, and I didnt notice any free water or bathrooms. As we were leaving, we saw the line out the door.
Very cool spot for "bowl" dishes. I went on a Sunday shortly after they had opened at around noon and there was no wait. The staff is wonderful and the ambiance is very modern with a creative vibe. Definitely a step up from Sweetgreen or CAVA. I ordered the Sophie's Way with chicken and it was good - I can't say it blew me away but definitely better than average.
The food was mid, the drinks were weak, and the service was average. Sone of the worst sushi I’ve ever had and after 3 cocktails I was still sober. This place is beyond overrated.
Food was ok, ordered the chili chicken bowl but it was lacking a bit in flavor depth. Reason for 3 stars is lack of bathroom. This looks like a new restaurant so the lack of bathroom was deliberately planning... It's not like they don't have the space for it...the kitchen area is massive... And for what? Do they really need that much space in the kitchen to toss ingredients into a bowl? No, it's obvious they deliberately dodged the law requiring a bathroom by artificially shrinking the seating capacity and building an oversized kitchen area. Pretty slick on their part but pretty very bad for their paying customers. Very poor decision during planning, had I known this place had no bathroom i wouldn't have eaten there. N
I got the spicy salmon bowl and it was very spicy — almost one-note spicy. Between the spicy jam, jalapeños, and spicy crunch, it needed something sweet or citrusy to balance it out. I love spice, but this was too much all at once. The portion size is huge though and filling, and the salmon itself was really tasty. I’m pescetarian so this was the only fish option, but next time I’d definitely custom build my own bowl to get a better balance.
I love this bowl and think it’s so tasty. Went about a year ago and absolutely loved it. Had it two days ago, it tasted a bit off, my bowl was half full and I’ve had food poisoning from it the last few days. Horrible stomach pain, eating makes it worse and can’t keep anything down. And I know a bunch of other people who have also had food poisoning from it. It was from the make my own bowl with cabbage kale and braised beef.
I have never been treated so poorly by the host staff at a restaurant. My group had a reservation last Saturday for 9:30 and one member was running a little late but they needed the whole party to seat us. The last member came at 9:39 pm. They offered us a table right by the door opened and closing constantly letting cold air in or we could wait a few minutes as another table in the back was closing out. We opted to wait as it was a birthday dinner and it was 10 degrees outside. We had stood up from our seats at the bar and were standing in the middle of the small downstairs lounge with very little space to walk. We then stood there for 20 minutes with no update from the two hosts until we asked. They did not offer to take our coats like they did other parties, did not offer us menus or water. The two hosts were talking by the host stand. When we inquired about our table 30 minutes after our original reservations the host was rude and argued with us that we declined the first table. If we had known that was the only table we would have said yes but they offered us a choice. At this point we asked if there was any space in the upstairs restaurant because we had been standing for 30 minutes and only then did they check upstairs. They said there was but the party we were waiting for was finally closing out. When we did get to our table it was cramped stools and waiters were constantly walking by above our heads in a very small walkway with plates. One side of the table’s backs was to the bar with again a very small walkway so people walking by the bar were constantly bumping into us. It was not a pleasant environment to eat. The table was very small and could barely fit our entrees. Thankfully our server Ferrari was so kind and made up for the sour start. She was shocked to hear we hadn’t been given menus yet. She did offer us complimentary rose and brought over a birthday candle at the end of the dinner. The food was good but overpriced with small portions ($32 rolls for only 6 pieces). I would not return; the host staff argued and got snappy with us when we inquired about our reservation time and did not apologize or try to rectify the situation at all.
We had a very upsetting experience at this restaurant. Our group of six ordered food, paid, sat down, and ate like any normal customers. When we were leaving, a staff member suddenly came outside and accused us of “sitting without ordering” and said we were being disrespectful — even though we had clearly bought food. What made the situation worse is that the same staff member barely paid attention when we were ordering; he was chatting with others and only calling out order numbers. When I offered to show our receipts and the food we had just packed, he refused to look. The way he approached us felt extremely unprofessional and unnecessarily aggressive. It also made us question whether this would have happened if we were a different race or appearance. The entire interaction left us feeling unwelcome and disrespected. I’m sharing this so others are aware. There are many great restaurants in the area with much better service, this was sadly not one of them.
