Opinions de Tinos New York
I really enjoy their lunch rolls, they are fresh and delicious and they have a great variety to choose from for the lunch menu. I really enjoyed their shumai and everything else I tried. The dressing on the salad is fresh, zesty and tasty. They always get my order right which I appreciate a lot because this does not often happen and so I really enjoy their delicious food. I want to try some other combinations so I can try more variety from the menu. The value is pretty great as well for the location. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and I really enjoy ordering the food knowing that it will be fresh and delicious. I’ll keep going there and would recommend that place.
Always great service, especially on work days when things are calm and food 🍱 is coming quickly from the chef 👩🍳. This is the better option for sushi 🍣 in the neighborhood, because of the size, price and quality.
I got the tuna tar tar and it was so good.
Great little sushi and Japanese restaurant. They offer a fantastic lunch deal for $10.95 where you get soup, salad and a bento box with your choice of protein, rice, dumplings and a small sushi roll. Service was fast and polite.
Great sushi!! We ordered here late one night, the food came on time, the restaurant gave us an extra roll and the fish was so fresh. Just moved to the area and I think I found my go-to spot for takeout sushi. Would definitely recommend.
The food was amazing from the sushi we ordered to the veggie rice. Everything tasted Fresh and Vibrant, and then to top it off the Dessert was phenomenal. I really enjoyed this place and will definitely be ordering from here again. Delivery was also on time. And the order was correct. My new sushi spot for sure
We have ordered here many times and every time we are blown away. The fish is so fresh. My family and I are avid sushi eaters - this is genuinely a hidden gem in NYC. And the price! You can't beat it. Honestly delicious and amazing. One of our favorites.
I've been ordering from Akami for 9 years. The food is always good and fresh. the delivery people are always so sweet!
I've done takeout here a few times and have had no complaints.
I live close to this restaurant. I highly recommend going there and having the food. When you order food it doesn’t look and taste the same as it would when freshly prepared and served. Excellent lunch specials. Honestly the best japanese lunch specials in Manhattan.
I love Akami because they offer the highest quality sushi possible for the money you pay. I don’t usually eat at the restaurant, but every order I pick up is perfect and ready on time.
This place is my go-to sushi place. Their fish is so fresh and their service is amazing! The prices are fantastic, especially the three roll lunch special. Three rolls, soup AND salad for $16. Their ginger dressing is INCREDIBLE!
This place almost never seems busy but we finally tried it and WOW it was fantastic! I particularly loved the Akami Sashimi Rolls they offer (in both 5 and 10-piece varieties) which are special rolls without any rice. I’d never seen anything like that before and it was an awesome and delicious way to have a sushi roll without all of the carbs of the rice. Will 100% go back!
Great Greek spot for dining on the Upper East Side! They serve the best Greek salad that I’ve ever had! I also ordered the kokkinisto, and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!
If you are looking for a restaurant with authentic Greek cuisine, Tinos is definitely the place you have to visit! It is famous for the fresh fish and all the traditional Greek dishes. I am a great fan of grilled octopus, and this was for sure one of the best I have ever tasted. Tender and delicious!! The stuff is beyond friendly with great energy!
Really enjoyed this place. You can tell they use fresh fish by the taste of their food. It feels like a truly authentic Greek kitchen, not touristy at all. I ordered Branzino and it was super tasty and cooked just right. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff — would happily come back.
Stopped in here for lunch and had a great experience! Cozy and warm atmosphere, very friendly service, and delicious food! We tried the veal and the tsipoura (white fish) and both were delicious and a great portion size. They were kind enough to give us a free appetizer and dessert! Will definitely be back to try more dishes and bring more people.
One of the best Greek restaurants in Manhattan for anyone looking for authentic Greek cuisine. The atmosphere is warm and simple, and the food feels true to its roots. I ordered the Bronzini, and it was fresh, well-cooked, and perfectly seasoned. A solid choice if you appreciate quality ingredients without unnecessary flair.
Absolutely fantastic food all around. We ordered in on NYE and it had about 30 blocks to travel, and we were beyond impressed with how well it traveled, on NYE no less! Everything was so delicious and flavorful. Salad -- best feta cheese I think I've ever had with very fresh and crispy veggies. I added grilled chicken to my salad the seasoning was the perfect complement. Salmon was also fantastic, cooked and seasoned to perfection. Pita slices that came with our meals were also scrumptious! 10/10 recommend and I cant wait to order from here again!
We had a few hours stop in UES so we visited for dinner Tinos restaurant. We enjoyed the authentic Greek cuisine in the heart of Manhattan! We ordered traditional Greek dishes such as saganaki (grilled cheese), Greek salad and paidakia (lamb chops). Everything was excellent, the service too!
I recently visited Tinos, and I personally think this is the best Greek restaurant in UES and was blown away by their use of fresh Mediterranean ingredients. I ordered the Greek salad, and it was absolutely delicious-crisp vegetables, tangy feta, and perfectly seasoned olives. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Greek flavors!
What a wonderful evening at Tino’s! My mom hadn’t seen her old classmate in fifty years. She and her husband came all the way from Texas, and this spot turned out to be the perfect place for their reunion. We started with appetizers to share: crispy calamari, rich and smoky eggplant, and a fresh Greek salad that tasted like summer on a plate. Everything was flavorful, generous, and clearly made with care. For the mains, I had the chicken souvlaki . It was tender, perfectly grilled, and paired with that creamy tzatziki, that you could honestly eat by the spoonful. My parents went with the beef kebab, which they couldn’t stop talking about, and my mom’s classmate and her husband both enjoyed the chicken souvlaki too, not a bite left behind! Just when we thought we couldn’t eat anything else, the staff surprised us with complimentary Napoleon dessert after we said no. Such a thoughtful and delicious gesture, light, flaky, and the perfect sweet ending to a memorable night. The service was warm and genuine, and the whole atmosphere had that easy, welcoming energy that makes you want to linger a little longer. Tino’s didn’t just give us a great meal. They gave us a setting for laughter, stories, and a reunion fifty years in the making. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for delicious Greek food served with real heart. It felt like I was in Mykonos for 20 minutes. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for excellent Greek food.
Tino’s is what makes nyc food scene incredible. Small place but packed on a Saturday night. The dips were flavorful and they didn’t skimp on the pita. Meat was tender and juicy. Spanakopita was flaky and fresh. Dessert was well balanced. If you are more than two people I would recommend a reservation since it fills up fast.
Tinos UES Greek restaurant is truly a hidden gem! The food is on another level — unbelievably fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Every single dish we tried blew our minds. The cozy, intimate size of the restaurant only adds to its charm, making the experience even more special. The service was warm, attentive, and made us feel so well taken care of. Thank you, Tony and Team Tinos for delivering such authentic and unforgettable flavors. I cannot wait to come back!
We had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the service was absolutely outstanding — attentive, friendly, and professional. The food was incredibly tasty, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared. On top of that, the staff went above and beyond by surprising us with several complimentary dishes “on the house,” which made us feel extra welcome and appreciated. It’s rare to find a place that combines delicious food, warm hospitality, and such generosity. Highly recommend this spot — we will definitely be coming back!
Found this place by coincidence just looking on Apple Maps and what a great find. It’s a cozy intimate atmosphere with extremely welcoming staff. The service was impeccable, you don’t feel rushed the waiters are very attentive. You can tell that everyone there really cares about the service they provide. The food?? AMAZING. All the vegetables and seafood we had was so fresh, and the food was so flavorful. I would recommend making a reservation especially if you’re coming around dinner time, it gets packed quick! I will definitely be coming back
We had an excellent first experience at this restaurant! The portions were generous, and the value for the price was very good. The food was absolutely delicious, offering an authentic Greek dining experience. We were also pleasantly surprised with a complimentary dessert, a delightful treat that tasted like a combination of a Napoleon and mille-feuille. Although the restaurant is quite small with limited seating, the cozy atmosphere added to the charm — I highly recommend making a reservation. We will definitely be returning!
Tino’s is a wonderfully inviting and absolutely delightful and delicious Greek restaurant on First Avenue between 90th & 91st Street and. We were welcomed by Tino who took our orders and personally made us feel like we were old friends. Within minutes of our 6pm reservation, the entire restaurant was filled with guests, many of whom seemed to be familiar with their wonderful menu. If you sre thinking of coming, you’d be smart to make a reservation. I had the lamb chops that were perfectly prepared. They came with crispy fries. My wife had the branzino, which was also delicious. And to my surprise, all the dinners come either a delicious cake, that was phenomenal. While we live 30 blocks south, we’ll be returning very soon. I forgot to mention thatcwe started with a huge Greek Salad and a plate of humus and other dips served with warm pita! And if you’re celebrating a birthday, the restaurant darkens and the fireworks begin! All the guests joined in singing happy birthday to the lucky recipient!
LOVE this place!! the lady/ hostess it’s so nice and sweet and even gave us free desserts. The octopus was the best and it was so flavorful. We had the pita with the different dips and the pita was so warm and the dips are so tasty. The grilled shrimp was good and the Greek salad was fresh crispy and delicious. Will be coming back - such a lovely service and food.
We went here on Valentines Day and they served a prixe fixe menu for $65 per person that was so filling we had to bring items home. Everything was so delicious and the service was great. Their dining room has a narrow walkway that I thought was going to be a bigger issue than it was but just be mindful of this if you have limited mobility. Very good atmosphere and the dessert was great.
Yorkville gem!!! After hearing all great things about Tinos for years, we finally visited for dinner after 4 years, and it did not disappoint. We ordered pita with spreads, jumbo shrimp, Greek seafood paella, grilled white fish, and lamb chops—all of which were excellent. While it’s not Michelin level cuisine, the dishes are perfect as a neighborhood - family style restaurant. The manager was incredibly warm and welcoming. Although we were rushed during peak hours, he graciously offered us take out dessert as an apology. Super lovely restaurant—will definitely be back!
Ordered through the website and my lunch special was delivered within 30 minutes. Good quality fish and I’ll be happy to order again.
I ordered the shrimp bento box. The shrimp looked like it was seasoned but really needed more flavor. I really wanted to add salt. Same for the tempura. Sushi was pretty good as was the salad and soup. Portions were good. I expected more. Oh well. Service was great though.
Came for a quick lunch as it is right around the corner from my hotel. Nigiri and sushi roll were bland. Miso soup was also quite lacking. Fish was definitely not as fresh as I would expect at a sushi restaurant. Wegman's to go has fresher fish. Rice was dry/hard.
Cheap sushi, get what you pay for. The food is cheap, but it also tastes cheap too. Sushi left a weird taste in my mouth, and I suspect that the fish wasn't fresh.
Ordered food from here today and I am not sure if they were having a bad day or it was just me, the fish was off and I mean literally off, the seaweed was tough as leather. I have no idea why and the whole thing tasted rancid. even the rice tasted weird, I Literally took apart 1 roll and tasted everything individually to make sure, I was not going mad. I am not sure what happened but if you are thinking of ordering might wanna save your wallet. P.S There are a lot of good reviews online for them so I honestly believe it was a mistake and a bad day but they are never seeing a dollar of mine again ........ The two missing rolls are the one I ate and threw up and the one I took apart
I don’t write reviews often, but this place made me so sick. I got the lunch special from here. It tasted okay, but I couldn’t finish it - it was too chewy and salty. Within a few hours I was so violently ill I couldn’t keep water down. I was sick all night and it took over 12 hours for me to be able to drink water again. It’s been almost 24 hours and I still haven’t graduated to food. I do not remember ever being this sick from food before - seriously concerned about the health and safety of the kitchen here. I didn’t even get anything raw.
Waited more than 20 minutes for food. Salmon rolls are weirdly sweet. Chicken is overcooked. Too much jalapeno in teriyaki.
