Opinions de Zizi's Wine Bar New York
Great authentic middle eastern in FiDi. Hard to find oddly. GREAT wine selection. Servers were great and knowledgeable and easy to talk to as well. Jess nailed every suggestion and her and the other server, served a very busy restaurant with ease. The manager seemed hardworking too. I'll be back. All the food we got was good. Well done kitchen.
The crazy baba is the only babaganoush I want to eat. This stuff is crazy good. The cheese platter is sooo good and the halloumi is perfectly done. The bread, the lamb, the za’tar chimichurri — it was all tasty (so good I forgot to take a pic). Wine list was good — I had a very earthy Malbec.
Mediterranean menu with a creative touch. Loved the simit (Turkish bagel). Food was pretty yummy. The food menu at the FiDi location is a bit more limited than the mid midtown location which is a full restaurant.
What a great place!!! I was sitting at the bar on a cold afternoon (24°) and the vibe was amazing. The selection of wine is unbelievable, and priced totally fair. The food is so good, most of the menu is made of small plates, which allowed me to try different dishes, I love them all. I really liked the cauliflower with Tahini, it's baked and not fried - so good and healthy. The service was professional, the server was knowledgeable about the wines and helped me select the right one to go with my food. Really recommend!!! Update... It sounds crazy, but they got better. The opened a new sitting area, a small nook, super romantic and cozy - perfect for the winter days
Thoroughly enjoyed some delicious small plates like halloumi and overnight lamb. Can’t wait to go back to try more of the menu. Wine was top notch, service was excellent, and the vibe is somewhere you want to sit and stay a while.
Laid back, calm, cozy, classy. This place is a great addition to the financial district. Nice wine selection, I tried the cheese board and the halloumi, you have to try it, exquisite combination with your favorite wine, I had their Merlot. I took pictures after the rush of taste buds. Thank you Noa!!! 😊
One of the only wine bars in the area and honestly a gem of a find. Good wine selection, good food, and great music to lend to a different vibe that’s been missing from the FiDi area. The happy hour is great, don’t miss out on the bites! Service is excellent and fun. Highly recommend!
This place is very cool and fun. Perfect place for a first date! Service is really wonderful and everyone is so nice. Wine selection is comprehensive. It's not too crowded but still lively. This is exactly what the financial district needed

A cute quaint wine bar. The staff was friendly and very attentive. A few glasses of their Chardonnay and the Hummus and pita bread which was delicious. I loved the vibe and would return.
Came solo, sat at the bar without a wait. It's definitely a better spot to go with a group and share some dishes! Food was great (confit fennel was a delicious surprise) and wines were fun and different. It's a bit loud inside but in a fun lively way, not a bad-acoustics way. Would recommend!
Stopped into this wine bar in New York and had an absolutely wonderful time. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was exceptional, and the food was truly top-quality. A perfect spot for a memorable evening!
Fantastic wine selection and friendly staff. 😊 The glass entrance door, however, decided to make a dramatic exit and broke as I left — I ended up testing the emergency room. Highly recommend the wine; do not recommend the door's stunt work 😬
Great ambiance and great food and wine selection for a date. We had the bone marrow and the baked Brie and they were incredible! The toasts with the bone marrow were buttery and perfectly toasted
We had a brilliant time at Zizi Fidi. We first went in for a drink and perhaps a small plate. After the first two glasses and plates (ceviche and the roasted cauliflower ) we were so enthused we had a flight of wines and several more plates. Allie (sadly not sure about the spelling) was an extraordinary waitress (though the term undervalues her skills): she was attentive, accommodating, and expert. And made our evening memorable with her recommendations and care. Thank you!

I love this place! Glorious wines, generous pours, delicious food, good vibes, amazing happy hour deals. All around a treat and a gem in FiDi.

Solid spot to grab a glass or bottle of wine and light bites. There’s another location in midtown but finally tried this one. Shared a bottle of wine after choosing between the Or Haganuz and Apla. We enjoyed the Cabernet Sauvignon more than the Xinomavro blend. Also ordered the Grilled Halloumi (basically just grilled cheese but the basil pesto added a nice touch to it) and the Jerusalem Bagel (a mix between a pretzel and bagel with a side of olive oil) to share. We sat in the back which was way quieter than the front, but the front was more lively and intimate. The staff was very helpful in choosing which wine to pick and always checked on us. We did miss the happy hour since it ended at 6pm but was still enjoyable otherwise. Recommend as a place to grab a glass of wine or as a date spot.
The bartender was very pleasant and welcoming. It was impressive how she managed the entire bar and table service on her own. The ambience is very nice. The food menu is enticing, however, the cod skewer was incredibly over salted. While I tried to force myself, I couldn’t finish the small portion. The salmon skewer and burrata were tasty. My friends enjoyed the crazy baba but it had some ingredient that I am allergic to, so I can’t comment. Sancerre was very nice, but I prefer red and they were not as potable, neither was the rose I sampled. I would come back for a light snack and Sancerre. It’s a great spot to catch up with friends.
Great spot for good unique wines and food. We had a rose and white wine that were great. We also had a few of the appetizers which were really good as well. I would recommend stopping in if you are in the area. They have some outside seating and Service was great. Good food from the tiny kitchen!

This could have been such a pleasant experience but the service took away from it completely. We had a reservation for 4 pm and when we arrived, were told there was an event later that evening so we would need to be out by 5:15. We told the waitstaff that wouldn’t be an issue, and placed our order. They brought the food and drinks out pretty quickly, but then completely ignored us. We tried to get their attention to order extra pita, but it took 10 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us. We placed the order and then were waiting a while for the pita to come out. At 4:55 (after waiting to get their attention again), we called another waitress over and asked about the status of the pita and if we’d have time for another round. She told us “hm I’m not sure because you have to be out around 5:05 for the event” Overall, just disappointing to see this lack of attention to a reservation, and the automatic gratuity applied for a large group when we barely got any service. If you need ample time for setup, the reservation should have been declined.

Beautiful place but the service wasn’t very good. Sat at the bar and wasn’t really checked in on even though other bar seated guests were. I’d have had another glass of wine but no one looked my way. I only got the sea bass crudo. I’m giving it two stars because I could barely taste the fish, it was drowned in a cream sauce and wasn’t worth the $22. My sparkling red was really delicious though.
They are vague and call themselves “Mediterranean” but this is an Israel bar / restaurant. This has become a common tactic recently. I’ve lived in this neighborhood for years and was excited to try this “Mediterranean” bar.. but majority of their wine selection is from France, Spain and Italy which you can find in every other bar here. We tried a few dishes but they were disappointing and lacked their original flavors. I wouldn’t recommend or go back

I wish I could review the John Street Zizi's food and atmosphere, but the staff didn't honor our reservation for eight at their table in the back, so we never had the opportunity to try either. Imagine yourself showing up for a reserved table with seven work colleagues, and being told by the manager that the establishment had sold the space for another event--without any warning whatsoever. They put us in a terrible position--and it was completely unnecessary. I get it: Zizi's was able to sell the space, where we only had a reservation. It was a Monday night, and maybe they took our reservation because they'd assumed they wouldn't sell the back room. But the manager didn't apologize until I started getting steamed. She offered us a small hi-top table (good only for standing) by the front door that wouldn't fit half our party. And she kept telling me that I should have come in advance to talk with them. Well, I did the week prior. Zizi's, everyone makes mistakes. But you should have at least contacted me in advance; I was on your reservation list. What absolutely terrible hospitality.
