The Birdie at Tierra del Sol

Dined with family for Valentine's Day 2025. The food was great, especially the Quinoa Salad. The evening breeze was invigorating, the prices reasonable, especially considering the setting and being surrounded by many other happy people.

The view, the landscape, the delicious entrees at the restaurant and for weddings. What's not to love. All my bridal couples love and rave over this location. Emilio the manager of F&B is awesome and they always deliver 5 star service. As a planner (Bella Aruba), I am proud of this location for my bridal couples in every way.

It was an excellent dinner! We were offered three types of a catch of the day. And the food was very delicious. The staff is really pleasant. I strongly recommend you visit this restaurant!

This restaurant offers amazing vistas and top-notch service. The place was elegant, and the food was arranged beautifully. Everything tasted great, too, but the flan impressed us the most! I think we'll be coming back for desert and drinks earlier in the day, too, to enjoy the panorama.

Lovely peaceful dinner with an incredible view, away from the strip. Service was excellent, and food very good. I would suggest they consider table cloths for a more sophisticated ambiance - that would be the missing piece for this hidden gem.

Beautiful scenery while dining in air conditioning or outdoors. Large screen TVs available for sport events. Staff are always welcoming and accommodating. Food is wonderful. Specials daily. Great view of golf course and ocean

Soak in the panoramic views and leave satiated witha plethora of delicious menu items. Everything we have had here is delicious and the service is second to none. Great for lunch and dinner!

This was one of my favourite restaurants in Aruba, until they changed the menu and they removed almost everything that was popular. Not a good strategy to flip 180 degrees on your menu without feedback. I will leave 5 stars in the hope of management bringing back what we love: caribbean dish, carbonara, burger… I’m only the first of a long list of reviews like this.. 6 at the table atm and we are all thinking the same!

It was my first time in Aruba, and based on reading it has the best views on the Island, I suggested Tierra del Sol to my friend who visited Aruba multiple times but had never dined there. We were not disappointed. Magnificent atmosphere with refined elegance. Food was delicious and service outstanding. I look forward to my next visit!

Decent food, great view and nice service

Love their Sunday brunch. For me the fact that you order as many plates as you want and there is no hassle of standing up and getting in line to get my food is priceless. The place is very pretty, the view is great, the service is wonderful and the endless mimosas are awesome. Love it!!!!

Recently we opted to organize our daughter's First Holy Communion at The Restaurant at Tierra del Sol. It turned out to be a great decision. Emilio and his staff were accomodating to our every need and very attentive to details and our guests. The menu was sophisticated and our guests raved about the food. The wonderful decoration gave the event a magical Christmas ambience. Thanks to them we were able to enjoy every minute of this important event and focused on hosting our guests. I thouroughly recommend The Restaurant and give them well deserved 5 stars.

The Restaurant is located at the Main Building Tierra Del Sol . Dinner was superb! Dinner was a 3 Course Meal. We were greeted with a basket of sliced Baguette with butter. Entrée: Mushroom Soup (one of the best I ever had). Main Course: Beef Skirt Steak (Speechless mouthwatering). Dessert: Ice cream The view is very relaxing, the atmosphere is great, the waiters are very polite and attentive. Highly recommended.

Food was amazing here, servers were very attentive, everyone was rather kind. I didn't want to ding the review since it's probably a higher up decision, but the outdoor seating after sunset is kind of terrible. We were seated outside, by our choice, and got to experience a beautiful view as the sun began to set. However as soon as it got dark the lights on the table and above it began to draw a ton of knats and other small insects. They started landing in our appetizers and we requested to move inside. They were able to move us rather quickly inside after they got our waiter so no complaints there. Just wish they had some preventative measures in place to handle this issue as the atmosphere is truly beautiful outside even after dark. It is very possible to do, so I hope they resolve this issue as I've been to plenty of outdoor restaurants on the island that didn't have this issue. Once again, great food, service and views, just need to address the evening bug issues.

This was our favorite restaurant on the island. Food, service and atmosphere was the best. Ask for Laura she’s a was a sweetheart. The chef deserves 5 stars! Thank you for a great evening!

This is a must during your visit to Aruba! Beautiful setting, delicious food and pleasant service. We stayed in the community and went here a couple of times for sunset dinners. You cannot beat this view without paying a price for it. It’s exceptional view of the lighthouse, the coastline and a full sunset make for a perfectly relaxing and romantic dinner. The food (the Caribbean seafood, catch of the day and the truffle pasta) were all delicious, subtly yet perfectly flavored. I’m not sure why more people don’t visit this restaurant, it’s a hidden gem and we would highly recommend.

Fresh catch was Barracuda or Snapper, we had one of each and also had the cream of broccoli soup. Delicious! The setting is fantastic and the staff are fun, friendly and professional. Easy to see why everyone loves when then come here

The food was amazing! We did the Christmas eve special menu & only made it through the appetizers because we were so full! Ceviche, beef tartar, crab cakes, corn & crab chowder, and chicken curry waldorf; not one complaint. Chef's kiss! We did taste the catch of the day, barracuda, & it was delicious as well. We had to box it & the last 2 main courses for later.

The food was excellent but for some reason it took a very long time to get our meals. We finished our wine while waiting. Our waiter tried to say just a bit longer…

Old Menu was amazing....Please bring back signature dishes such as "Carbonara ,Caribbean Sea food pasta and the burger". All the best ones are gone. :*(. Service is always great.

Pizza was delish, filet mignon had no sauce, its just a salad and a few potato wedges and they didnt even bring a steak knife. Service was slow and we had to keep calling over the server for things. The view is really nice tho

The food was OK. The steak was a bit overcooked. The fish was OK but I think that the sauce didn't go well with the fish. The flan was just perfect, not too sweet. The mango sorbet was delicious. The waiters were very polite and attentive.

Food was okay, made for an easy first meal when we arrived at our rental. Pizza kind of tasted like a frozen premade pie or dough. Staff were very friendly and welcoming though. Scenery and atmosphere was nice. Would go in a pinch but not for an Aruba memory.

I opted for a vegetarian option and a lot of the vegetables even though they were cooked tasted as though they were spoiled, the other person had the same meal, and they said the same thing, however, it is a wonderful place to go have drinks and appetizers as you overlook the gorgeous ocean. The view is phenomenal. I give five stars for the view.

Used to be one of our favourite restaurants. Went last night, took a long time to get service. Ordered 3 vodka martinis, the vodka was watered down! Sent them back, got a good bottle of red asked for a decanter the server had no idea what we were talking about. One app was good the other 2 just average. Ordered the Ahi Tuna, it was not Ahi Tuna and the manager admitted it. Will not go again.

We have been coming to this restaurant for a very long time. They just recently changed the menu, which includes a lot of different additives, preservatives and sauces on top of their dishes. In my opinion incompatible some times. For example they put anchovy butter on top of beef skirt. Good quality meat and fish does not need to be excessively covered with sweet and sour sauces and questionable preservatives. It does nothing, but creates an undesirable circus in your mouth and puts unnecessary pressure on your stomach. In our case the result was by far worse. We have had a food poisoning during our last visit to this establishment in April 2017. I contacted the restaurant manager Mr. Estrada. He apologized for the incident and stated that he would look into it.

We sat down, but it took quite a while for anyone to attend to us. Both the waitress and the manager were on their phones by the bar, and we had to call for their attention. The manager did absolutely nothing, and the waitress went to the terrace to serve others, still leaving us unattended. When we finally got service, she later apologized and gave some sort of excuse. 12:15 p.m. is lunchtime — if you’re open for lunch, you should have enough staff to serve customers. If not, don’t open. Also, as a manager, step up and help when short-staffed instead of pretending to be busy on your phone and disappearing.

No Service whatsoever. Do not even bother coming here. Not worth it. The staff is ruining your restaurant. Wake up!

Disappointed. We decided to have a Christmas brunch on our last day in Aruba at the restaurant, after enjoying a dinner there the night before. The property is stunning, and the view is magnificent. However, our return experience was a complete disaster. First, we were told that only a 12-course brunch was available. One member of our party, who is vegetarian, asked if it would be possible to simply have a salad. She was refused and had to sit hungry throughout the meal. To make matters worse, there was an hour-long wait between each tapas course. I understand that there’s a more relaxed pace in the Caribbean, but was the meal supposed to last until sunset? I complained to the manager, who was able to speed things up slightly. We never got the full desert selection , could not stand waiting another hour for the rest of it. The management needs to train their staff better and figure out how to serve clients efficiently, especially if they are aiming to provide an upscale experience. I had hoped this would become my new favorite dining spot, but I won’t be returning.

We were the first to arrive at 5pm. We were left unattended for about 10 mins after being seated. We noticed as other patrons arrived, they were given more attention, being served before us and checked up on way more frequently. We had to cancel our dessert because after ordering it still hadn’t arrived after 15 mins (the restaurant was about 40% full in my opinion). The worst part was our waiter was asking tables beside us for desert after we ordered and they received theirs. The views are amazing and the food is average. The service is unacceptable and part of me feels they give priority to certain types of people. Will never be back! Don’t visit this place!

Zero customer service. Change the lady at the front please, she has no manners and no customer service sense. What a terrible experience.
