Great food, amazing sunset views, friendly staff, nice outdoor seating, vibe is relaxing with the live guitarist playing a variety of music, very good touch! We Absolutely love this place, have been coming here for over 15 years and it's our home away from home, Las Ramblas is our first stop for dinner and our last sunset dinner before going back home. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Make a reservation just to make sure you get in on time.
My wife and I had a 6:30 reservation, and we were seated at 6:25. The hostess and manager provided great customer service, and our waiter Keith was OUTSTANDING! We had the Grilled Scallops, Beef Brochettes, Shrimp Skewer, and Grilled Calamari; with Key Lime pie for dessert. All were delicious, with the most notable being the grilled calamari; it was the best calamari we ever had!! We highly recommend Las Ramblas!!!!
Great location. Play Atmosphere was amazing great views of the ocean. Live guitar music . The food was amazing
We went with friends while visiting Aruba. I had the scallop appetizer and wedge salad for my dinner. It was all delicious and the surface was impeccable. A friendly staff with an upbeat atmosphere.
Dined here during our stay at the La Cabana resort, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect for a sunset dinner. Best escargot I've ever had, better than any I have had in either the US or France. The food was so good I forgot to snap a picture of our entrees, everything was fantastic!
Always our first dinner, food is amazing, people are second to none, outside dining, ambiance for days and the violinist was just incredible.
Amazing outdoor dining with great sunset views. Overlooks the famous Eagle Beach! Amazing dishes cooked to your liking. 5 star table service by Stephanie & Manolo. Land & Sea and Key Lime pie is my go to. Lighted menus are unique.
We enjoyed dining at Las Ramblas so much. Make reservations in advance so you don’t have to wait like we did. We hung out in the bar for atleast 35 mins before we were able to be seated. Beautiful ambience right across from the beach, and they have live music. We ordered and shared the lobster bisque, Caribbean shrimp, skirt steak, seafood paella, and a carrot cake. They were very busy but the service was great and the food was fantastic.
Fantastic place. Food was incredible. The view was great and the server very friendly.
What an amazing atmosphere complete with palm trees and fire. If you’re looking for a romantic dinner, watching the sunset, this is the one! Our 6M baby LOVED the lobster bisque lol. The steak was amazing, the fresh red snapper was perfectly done, and the creme brûlée hit the spot. The guitarist was sooooo fantastic as well!! Coming back for sure. 🔥
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Outdoor dining at its finest. I'm a repeat customer, I never skip going there when on the island. Feb.2019- update. Better than last year! The tamarind glaze on the Chilean Seabass was great! New menu coming on 2/18/19.
Great Dinner! Great Ambiance! Great Service! We had a party of 14 people they accommodated us during Covid 19. They broke us down into three tables. The kids were able to have one extra because he was underage at the table. Although the menu is varied mainly steaks and seafood they had an excellent special. A three-course me al for $30. The choices were filet mignon, seafood paella, or mahi-mahi. The starter was a salad that was delicious or lobster bisque. dessert was creme brulee or chocolate cake. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the kids were able to eat from the kids menu. Even though the food was delicious the big winner is where the restaurant is located. watching the sunset right across from Eagle Beach is a site everyone deserves to see. I am not a drinker however the ones that were drinkers at the table tried the homemade Sangria both with white and red wine and said it was fabulous. The menu was posted out front and you won't miss it because the steps coming up into the restaurant change colors and there is a lit fire tower on either side. The staff was excellent they followed all protocols and were lovely served our dinner in a timely manner I recommend this for all. if you're seeing this and questioning if you need reservations you do, they are not open 7 days a week and they book up quickly. I almost forgot several people had appetizers one had the bruschetta and loved it said it was delicious and fresh. two others have the bacon-wrapped scallops and said they were absolutely wonderful. The one person who did not have the special ordered the lamb chops and said they were cooked to perfection. I hope you enjoy the food we will be going as a family every year!
A wonderful atmosphere. Live acoustic guitar player. The swordfish was amazing. The lobster bisque 🦞 was great.
Last time we were here this restaurant was just tapas. It has moved into an excellent restaurant I mean the steaks were delicious the pork tenderloin was delicious we had escargot and eggplant and bruschetta for appetizers. Everything was cooked to perfection! For dinner we had the Paia and several other dishes and everything was cooked perfectly. The thing is every place is beautiful in Aruba but very few places can you watch the sunset at Eagle Beach and this is literally right across the street. La Cabana Resort is beautiful it's in the lower rise section and this restaurant I think is independently owned because people were walking up from the street also. They have a guitar player playing music and singing and there's a noticeable entry from the street because there's two pillars with fire burning at the top. I would say the way to notice this is go to Eagle Beach and look to the left and you will find it. Must eat here, definitely worth it! Make reservations. Prices are high but worth it. We will be here every time we come to Aruba!
Stopped by Las Ramblas to say hello to my friends Alondra and Shariin and was all of a sudden finding myself seated at a table and was told I was going to eat a late dinner. I closed the place down. Had lots of fun too! The menus are printed on translucent paper and placed on a hinged iPad like device. (You can see the lights coming out of the bottom corners on each side.) The restaurant overlooks the beach and the ocean. It has ornate gas lamp posts at the entrance. I had the bacon wrapped scallops for an appetizer and the catch of the day for the entré. The entré was red snapper with mashed potatoes, vegetable medley, with a delicious chimichurri sauce. The BEST part was the service by both Alondra and Shariin. Here's also a great sunset shot from the steps overlooking the beach!
January 1, 2022 We had reservations for our celebrating my husband’s birthday at Las Ramblas however because some staff were away sick the Las Ramblas was closed and the regular grill restaurant was used. That definitely was the only change and we will come back at a later time to enjoy its magnificent view. The Mahi Mahi and Shrimp for the birthday boy and the 5 oz streak tenderloin for myself were both by far the best we have tasted. The dessert surprise with a fireworks display completed a memorable evening! Thanks to Manager Lino and and staff, especially the chef for a memorable evening.
Very romantic atmosphere. The food was delicious. I had the steak and my husband had the catch of the day.
2018: had another enjoyable dining experience. The charcoal grill really adds some flavor. 2017: The charcoal grill adds a great char and flavor to all the grilled items especially the steaks. The menus are backlit so the are very easy to read as it gets dark out. The strolling saxophone player really added to the relaxing ambiance.
Beautiful view and great food!! Steak and lobster were wonderful. Lobster bisque was some of best I’ve had & scallops were perfect. Live music added the perfect touch
What a great dinner, thank you Willy the food was great, the atmosphere, the weather what more could you ask for.the light up menus were just great loved that idea. Definitely a go back.
I'll start by saying, I'll be going back. I loved the food. Bread kicked off the meal and it was delicious, especially the pretzel bread. Next the bruschetta was full of tomatoes and delightful. It didn't appear like much, but the flavor was definitely there. Next, I had the beef and shrimp hot appetizers - wow! The beef was marinated well and tender. Small plates, so I would suggest one per person. Only two skewers of beef (total 4 slices of beef, two per skewer) and three skewers of shrimp (total 3 shrimp). The shrimp was delightful and served with chimichurri. Finally wrapped up with their creme brulee and carrot cake. The carrot cake is made in Aruba and was so moist and tasty. It was a large slice so shareable. Creme brulee was fine, probably won't order again. Lastly, a great place to watch the sunset!
Thanks for a such memorable night at the Ramblas!!!!! The places has an excelent view and the food was amazing. There was a live music. The captain which I dont remember the name was able set a table with nice view and engage with us during the night. Jonathan, the server was on top of the game making everything posible for us. He was flexible and able to do accomodations to our orders needs. Thanks you so much for an amazin night!!!. We will really recommend this site to our friends.
Do not miss this ocean view, intimate, romantic setting with great food and live guitar music...lamb chops were OUTSTANDING and homemade desserts lovely!
Food and drinks was on point. Our server was very professional, friendly and helpful.
Excellent waiter, delicious food, nice music, and the perfect sunset.
Excellent evening service, good food, great ambiance. Seated at sundown with the ocean breezes, cocktails and dinner with the new moon above made for a romantic outdoor dining experience. Guitarist in residence served melodic favorites with a flamenco flair.
We returned to Los Ramblas to celebrate an early anniversary dinner after our first visit 6 years ago and it was just as good as we remember! We had bacon wrapped scallops, red snapper and pan fried grouper. They even surprised us with a piece of chocolate cake with Happy Anniversary written on the plate. It was wonderful! We will definitely keep up the tradition next time we come to Aruba!
We had a celebration dinner at this restaurant and it was amazing. Food is really good, the service is remarkable. Manolo was so kind and funny. We all tried different dishes so I can assure all food is great.
Dinner on Eagle Beach, Aruba. We had a 6:30 PM dinner and the outdoor location at the edge of Eagle Beach is divine. Our host was Keith and he did an amazing job. Fast, attentive, and his personality put us at ease. Recommended the three course dinner and he was not wrong. Helluva deal for outstanding food. I had the lobster bisque and seafood Paella and it wasn't lacking for fresh seafood. So good! My wife had steak and it was perfect. They cook over a wood fire so the flavors are great. We noticed the manager on duty also worked at the restaurant next door during the day. Have to give him a shout out. He does a very good job keeping both places running smoothly, and efficiently. Like any of the good restaurants here, definitely call, stop by or use open table for a reservation. Although busy, the tables are nicely spaced providing a comfortable atmosphere for dining.
We were staying at La Cabana, and on our last night we were just looking for a convenient place for dinner. Hence Las Ramblas It was a pleasant surprise. The food was very good, just shy of superb. The portions generous, and much more reasonably priced than we expected. The wine menu is limited, but we had a nice Chardonnay. The setting absolutely beautiful and the music a joy. With the right frame of mind, it’s rather romantic without being obvious. Overall, this is a hidden gem. And I hope it stays that way so next year we can get a reservation (it’s a relatively small outdoor restaurant). The only negative, and it’s really minor, they don’t have a large staff - so if u are looking for a really quick dinner - go elsewhere. But if u want great music, a beautiful setting, very good food and a staff that really does want u to have a nice dinner experience- this is the place to go.
If it rains you are out of luck as this is outdoor fine dining only, no indoor seating. It's very romantic, the food is fantastic and service is excellent. We had the wedge salad with blue cheese and bacon bits -- fantastic meld of flavors; also grilled Calamari which I like to try at every restaurant as an appetizer and it was delicious. We had the Strip steak with peppercorn sauce and the Chilean sea bass, both cooked perfectly. Loved everything about this experience.
Started off with the escargot, done in traditional French style without melted cheese. Very rich and flavourful. good meal selection the grill. We were intrigued by several of the grilled fish dinner options but went with the NY sirloin strip steak. Cooked perfectly to our tastes, and the dipping sauces were excellent. We couldn't decide what to choose and they gave us all three. My girlfriend enjoyed the mushroom sauce the best. I preferred the peppercorn sauce. Chimicuri sauce was very good also. Fresh grilled veggies filled us and we didn't have another side. Limited whiskey options, I prefer a nice rye Manhattan before a steak dinner. Wine list was short but good choices at reasonable prices. We will probably go back later in the week to try the fish.
Amazing service, the waiters are so great. Cocktails are very tasty too! Vibe is nice with a good view to watch the sun set. Live music is a nice touch as well. All in all glad we came here for our first meal in Aruba. They also brought out a big ol slice of chocolate cake and the musician played happy birthday for my dad’s birthday!!
Excellent service, Danny was friendly & attentive and is great for sunset views. The food overall is good, the highlight for us was the grilled calamari. The mains, Caribbean Shrimp & Grouper were very good. A nice slice of carrot cake and chocolate cake at the end we're both moist and tasty. The only disappointment was the rice, which seemed to have a aftertaste. (No pix of the mains unfortunately)
Bacon wrapped scallops were a little Over cooked. Lobster 🦞 bisque was very good lots of lobster in the dish. Main courses consisted of catch of the day, which was Maui Maui. Nice portion and was cooked to perfection, au gratin potatoes were ice cold. Had the potential to be good if they would have been hot. Sea bass was also very good and flaky. Flank steak was a little under cooked but had awesome flavor and tender.
Great place...view of the beach and sunset is amazing. We had the avocado and shrimp appetizer. Then we had the skirt steak and short ribs for entree. Both were very good. Keith and Ernesto were great servers. Only minus was the swarm of flies (literally like 20-30 on our table)...not the restaurant's fault, but kinda ruined the experience. Oh yeah, the guitar player was incredible.
I have eaten here many times and always had a great meal. I always enjoy the guitar music in the background. However, this evening was violin and not nearly as good. I hope the guitarist returns.
Food was not as good as last year but the service and atmosphere cannot be beat on the island. This is better than than the Passions at the beach.
Nestled by the tranquil waves of the beach, this idyllic dining spot boasts an inviting open-air ambiance that instantly transports patrons to a state of relaxation and bliss. While the cuisine may be described as simply "alright," the real magic lies in the overall experience. Impeccable service adds a touch of elegance to every moment, enhancing the enjoyment of the serene surroundings and creating an atmosphere of pure delight. As the sun sets and the gentle breeze carries the melody of live music, this venue truly shines as the perfect setting for an enchanting dinner, offering a memorable culinary journey amidst the beauty of nature.
Nice place to have dinner near the beach. Food was good. Service was excellent. There are flies if you go just before sunset…but they disappear the moment the sun goes down.
Love the ambiance, it's right across from the beach, live guitar player who was really great. Food was great, no complaints, I got the filet and hustbad got the catch of the day which was swordfish, both really good. Overall, enjoyed our dinner. Chef stopped by our table to check on us and to chat.
First dinner on the island! The atmosphere and ambience of Las Ramblas is enchanting! Open air dining with candles and torches - Aruban trade winds keeping the warm air cool and a live steel guitar musician carrying melodies across the restaurant. Truly a romantic and relaxing setting. Our server was very thorough and checked us many times throughout our dining experience. Brought us water and warm bread and butter after getting settled. The light up menus were great to make sure we could see! My husband and I both ordered an appetizer. He got the Lobster Mango salad. It was very good! Lobster cooked well! A light a refreshing appetizer. I got the Lobster bisque and it was not great. Tasted like it was out of a can. Not homemade. So I was crossing my fingers that the Chilean Sea Bass was going to be good🤞🏻 And it was! Perfectly cooked. Not over done and just the right amount of crispiness on the edges. First bite I did my happy food dance in my seat! 🤣💃 My husband got the catch of the day which ended up being the red snapper. He enjoyed it - didn’t blow him out of the water but he like it. So win for him in the appetizer but mediocre for the entree. And the opposite for me. However- even with the ups and downs of the food, the overall experience was wonderful! We absolutely enjoyed the whole dinner experience. We were not rushed or hurried along at all. Very relaxing and absolutely beautiful! We will be back again!!
Great view, food and service was really good. Only complaint i had was the flies showed up when my seafood platter did. It was actually rediculous and took away from a really nice meal. Once the shells etc were gone the flies left. Guess that’s the challenge of eating out doors.
Service was slow and our waiter acted like he hated his job. I’m not sure if he was having a bad day or what but he wasn’t friendly at all. Food was really good they don’t open until 6pm and you have to make a reservation. They had live music and the view was amazing. I’d probably go back because the food was good and the carrot cake was incredible but do better with the service please!
Beautiful view and nice ambiance. Food was flavorful but cold. Music was phenomenal. We had a pitcher of sangria and it tasted like fruit punch. I asked for more liquor and still tasted the same so in my opinion their sangria sucked. If you are looking for beautiful ocean views and need a quick bite to eat I recommend it but there’s better restaurants on this eagle beach strip.
Location very nice, music was very pleasant but the service very slow. Food okay. My "paela" was tasty but cold. If you want to enjoy, request from the beginning that they will pay attention to bring your meal hot.
Service was very good, the food was not. We ordered the NY strip steak which was listed at being a 12 oz portion When the steak arrived it was not 12 oz., even raw. It was not very thick, over cooked and was very tough. So tough it was difficult to cut. Additionally there was more fat and grisle than meat. Very disappointing
So far the worst experience I've had in Aruba. First, they could not find the reservation even though we had booked in advance. We ordered off the restaurant week menu and one extra escargot dish. First dish was grilled scallop wrapped with bacon. The scallop wasn't charred at all. So it is still a bit chewy and was overwhelmed by the bacon. The red sauce and the vegetables that came with the dish didn't work with the scallop at all, felt like the salad was throw on the plate as an after-thought. The escargot was swimming in white wine and butter with no trace of herbs there. It's almost as if someone accidentally spilt water onto the dish. Then main dish, the fried snapper was a total disaster. The fish was very oily, falling apart into pieces as if someone had butchered it. The other main dish was the paella. It was the worst paella in my life. First off, the rice was overcooked. It was too soft. Then, it came with imitation crab. I have never seen anyone put that in paella before. And it was the worst imitation crab in my life. The shellfish was not cleaned properly either. It still had some leftover gunky bit. At that point, we informed the waiter and the manager came and apologized profusely. He did not charge us for the dish. A few good thing though, the place is very nice. It is just next to the beach and the pool. There is also a very nice live music here. I think the ambiance is the only selling point here.
Extremely Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Hype I had a very unpleasant experience at Las Ramblas and would not recommend it to anyone visiting Aruba. The food was mediocre at best—certainly not worth the high prices—and the service was shockingly poor. Our server was rude from the start, giving attitude to everyone at our table for no apparent reason. When I simply asked if the sides were included with the meal (a reasonable question), he responded with sarcasm and annoyance, saying things like, “Come on, you’re in Aruba at the best restaurant—spend some money!” His behavior throughout the meal remained unprofessional and disrespectful, even going so far as to speak about us to other employees within earshot. Whenever we tried to ask for anything, he would ignore us entirely. To make matters worse, we were seated outdoors—normally not an issue—but the area was swarming with large flies. Not a few here and there, but so many that we had to cover our food with towels. All of us are from the Caribbean and accustomed to eating outside, but this was excessive and unhygienic. For a restaurant that claims to be one of the best in Aruba, the conditions were unacceptable. Even while we were clearly struggling to enjoy our meal and trying to get our server’s attention for help, he continued to ignore us. In the end, we left without finishing our food, paid the bill, and walked away extremely disappointed. This was by far one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had while traveling. Between the poor service, unsanitary environment, and dismissive attitude, Las Ramblas completely failed to deliver on its reputation.
This used to be one of our favorite regular spots on Aruba. Not any more. We arrived this trip to find the excellent price fixed menu they used to offer no longer available. I ordered the short ribs which used to be like butter, now fatty and tough with a teaspoon full of gravy. And to add insult injury, where they used to include mashed potatoes with the short ribs, they now offer a few dead vegetables. They want an additional $8.00 for a small cup of mashed potatoes. Las Ramblas, you had a good thing going and blew it. We will not return.
