We celebrated my daughter’s birthday on our last night and Roy made it extra special. From the exquisite food, live music, beautiful outdoor beachy setting, our super nice server Liliana, and so much more! This is what Aruba dining is all about! I can’t wait to go back!
I came here on a whim for the view and so glad I did! The waitress Liliana was amazing - friendly, efficient, and timely, but not pushy. The atmosphere was great - beautiful outdoor seating and I happened to be there when the live saxophone player was there which I didn't even know about beforehand, apparently he plays every Tuesday and was very enjoyable. I ordered the fried calamari appetizer and would highly suggest it. It came in large rings with a light, not overly fried coating. I also ordered the petite steak filet that came with a side of mashed potatos and veggies, which many places charge separate for. I ordered it medium rare and it came out just right. I will be returning and recommend this place to anyone! I was by myself and didn't have a reservation and they accommodated me perfectly, but I'd make a reservation in advance if it was more than just me next time. Great food, service, and atmosphere
My wife booked a reservation for my 72nd birthday, soon as we walked into place the ambience is eye-catching and there was a live sax player providing very appropriate instrumental dinner music. We had the crabcake appetizer followed by the surf and turf special food was very tasty. The highlight of the dinner was the service, our server, Roger was excellent and very attentive to our needs. He is engaging with great personality. The manager stopped twice to check on our table. Since it was my birthday, my wife requested a special table. They delivered a great table and the icing on the cake was a comped cheesecake with a beautiful candle....highly recommend the water's edge.
We had a wonderful meal at Water’s Edge. The pan sautéed snapper with lemon garlic butter mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables was delicious. The vegetables were cooked just right. There was a lovely live singer in the background to add to the nice atmosphere. We will definitely be returning.
After a horrible experience at Coco Loco that resulted with us having to cancel our order and leave (read that review), we walked nearby to Water's Edge located between the pool facility and the beach in the back of the Casa Linda resort. Incredibly warm, welcoming and friendly staff and service that we truly appreciated by that point, and while the menu basically only consists of kids friendly bar/pub basics, the fried fish sandwich had one of the biggest, fresh pieces of melt-in-your mouth fish I've ever had. Also, a great 2-4-1 happy hour drink special for the drinkers out there. Oh...and let's not forget all the harmless and cute lizards and Iguanas walking around! Recommended for a no frills but extremely tasty beach or poolside meal!
Outstanding meal! Music was soft and appropriate for all patrons. Coconut shrimp, ahi tuna, Caesar salad with grouper were all divine.
Wonderful dining experience. The outdoor seating is perfect, especially in the evenings. Our server Brandy was delightful, 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ service. Food was flavorful and cooked to perfection. Thank you Water’s Edge!
The food, service and atmosphere was great! We all enjoyed our food. It tasted great and the cost was not bad at all. We had hamburgers and wraps. Everyone in our group of 6 were happy with the lunch choices. Iguanas were running around and were very entertaining. A great place to grab some food.
Good restaurant with beautiful and romantic views. Our dinner was very good. Red snapper and escargot were delicious! Great atmosphere. Live singing. People are nice and friendly.
I had neutral hopes for this spot (just hadn't been blown away by food in Aruba yet at this point) and WOW were my expectations way exceeded. I consider myself a big foodie (living in LA, I am lucky to have access to diverse and delicious options!) and I could not stop talking about the dish I had from Water's Edge...the rest of my time in Aruba. I had the special of the night, which was grouper with shrimp and bay scallops on top. It was absolutely delicious. The fish was PERFECTLY cooked. My friend has their spicy seafood pasta. That was also incredible. We wanted to come back another night, but we sadly didn't have the time!
Brandy was our waitress and she was very polite and efficient. Went back another evening for drinks and the variety of drink choices was great. Drinks were very tasty and colorful
Tonight we had the pleasure of having Milena again as our waitress/server and she makes this experience truly beautiful and lasting. There was a violinist tonight, the atmosphere was exceedingly special and Milena made our night perfect, she made sure we had everything we needed, without being overbearing, the food was spectacular. I recommend this place to anyone who visits and hope you have a server here like Milena, or her herself, we were lucky to have her again after our first experience last year. Service was a 10/10. Food 10/10. Atmosphere 10/10.
Great service with bartenders that know what they're doing! There are three happy hours with two for one drinks at 12 to 1, 4 to 6 and after 9 to 10 with a large selection of drinks, not just a small set menu. We also had the ceviche to eat and it was one of the best we've had with fresh grouper and shrimp. Going back rest of the week!
Amazing experience!! Beautiful sunset view right on the beach with live music. Best shrimp linguine ever! Steak & ceviche were both perfect, and everything was plated beautifully. Our waitress was amazing as well & gifted us a bottle of champagne for my husband’s birthday 🥂 I suggest reservations as it was full.
Melinda. She needs to be your server. She is very attentive, kind, compassionate and great service overall. With recommended good drinks and food items and you not having to ask before she actually brings you what you need. We participated in their wonderful happy hour special with appetizers, dinner, and dessert. And another day for their lunch. Beautiful views and live music. Relaxing atmosphere!
Water's Edge was the first dinner in Aruba and we selected here to go to celebrate the first night of our honeymoon. We choose one of the tables in the sand and it was truly awesome taking off our flip-flops and digging our feet in the sand as we had happy hour priced drinks and appetizers to start. The drinks were delicious and less than 6 bucks each. The Cesar salad was very crisp and fresh and the escargot was awesome. We both loved the Ahi Tuna and Island Apricot glazed chicken. We thought the coconut flan was the best ever (including nice custom warm caramel message to us written in the dessert). Our server Shaira was so friendly and attentive. She was always nearby without hovering. She checked back several times during each course and made the first night of our honeymoon extremely special. At the end, the Owner, Roy personally came out to congratulate us and gave us a bottle of champagne to take home with us. Truly a memorable first night of great food watching the sunset. The live saxophone serenade was great too.
Water's Edge Restaurant & Bar is a wonderful restaurant located at the Costa Linda Beach Resort, on Eagle Beach in Aruba. You can choose from outdoor or indoor seating. For a Sunday morning breakfast, we sat outside under a palapa and enjoyed a delicious meal. The atmosphere is everything you’d expect when sitting beachside. Nice breeze, warm sun, and several iguanas roaming around. I can’t think of a more perfect way to start the day! Besides the beautiful setting, the restaurant staff is the best on the island. Will definitely come back on our next trip!
The food was great, we got both the steak and the fish and both were excellent. A 6:30 reservation was also perfect for the sunset view, you get to see the sky changes color every minute along the way. All in all really nothing to complain about.
We had a great experience here on February 14. Our servers were amazing and the food delicious! I had the mahi-mahi and my husband spicy seafood pasta (not sure the exact name). The location is great to catch the sunset, perfect ending to our evening with a walk along the beach. We will be come back. Loved this place!
Loved our dinner at Water's Edge. Ana, Dania and Kimberly were very friendly. Red snapper, tuna, everything was delicious.
We had a lovely dinner on our first night in Aruba. We have been to Aruba 4 times and wanted to so somewhere different. This restaurant is inside the Costa Linda hotel and we are so happy we found it. Food was amazing! The four of us had four different fish meals and they were all terrific. Choose any and you will be happy. You have to arrive before 6 if you want to see the sunset off the beach area. Beautiful night #1. Thank you!!!!
So happy we decided to try this restaurant! From the great (and speedy!) communication with Roy the owner while initially making and having to modify our reservations, to the wonderful and attentive service from Nicole our waitress, to the delicious meal, we could not be happier! The menu has a great selection, from apps, to entrees, cocktails to dessert! Highly recommend for a night out or a family dinner. It was delicious, portions were generous, and the staff really goes above and beyond to make it feel special for you. We will certainly be returning!
Took a stroll down the beach and stopped in for lunch, turned out to be a great lunch spot. Service was good and the food was on point. Have to add this to my visit spots when in Aruba. Will come by again try them for dinner or perhaps breakfast.
Food quality is the best we have had in Aruba. So good, we went back a second night for dinner. Starting with appetizers, the escargot is fantastic. We also tried the garlic tarragon shrimp. Excellent! The entree we shared was Spicy Caribbean seafood pasta. Soooooo good. Lots of scallops and a good number of jumbo shrimp. See picture. Nice spicy red sauce but not too hot. Came back again two years later (August 2022) and still fantastic. The grouper with mango salsa was the best meal my wife had on our entire Aruba vacation. Best caesar salad on Aruba too! Glad we came back to Waters Edge again!
Soooooo damn good order the snapper! Water’s Edge Restaurant in Aruba is an absolute gem if you’re looking for a laid-back, fun spot right by the beach. The vibe here is all about good times, with stunning ocean views, refreshing drinks, and super tasty food that hits the spot every time. Whether you’re coming for lunch, dinner, or just to grab a drink while soaking in the sunset, Water’s Edge has it all. The menu offers a variety of delicious dishes, from fresh seafood to juicy burgers, all with that Caribbean flair. The drinks are equally amazing—whether you’re in the mood for a tropical cocktail or a chilled beer, they’ve got you covered. It’s the perfect place to relax with friends, enjoy a date night, or even just treat yourself to a great meal in paradise. The atmosphere is fun, casual, and welcoming, making you feel like you’re on vacation the moment you step in. If you’re in Aruba, Water’s Edge is definitely a must-visit!
Live music playing in the background, what a vibe! I had such a good time. This restaurant is nestled behind the hotel on the main drag, but it’s always good to make reservations. As I got there, I was greeted by friendly hostesses. The waitress was amazing, offered me the bread and brought me my drink quickly. The appetizer was something with shrimp, so tasty. Dinner was amazing too, salmon with mashed and asparagus. Sooo good. Can’t wait to go again! Next time, I will make reservations for 6pm because by the time I got there, the sun had gone down and I didn’t get to see the sunset. I have to plan better
Just finished our dinner at Water's Edge. Amazing ambiance. Live music makes the experience that much better. I highly recommend the book in the reservation 30 minutes before sunset. If you get there early enough you can be seated with your feet in the sand with a great view of the sunset. The ahi tuna and mahi mahi were prepared and plated perfectly. I also highly recommend our waitress Gabriela. Please ask for her. She has a great personality. Also, the owner Roy went out of his way to make sure we were accommodated throughout the meal. He's a stand-up guy, and a Jersey boy like myself. Five Stars.
We decided to give this place a try and was very happy we did. Food and Service was spot on. Escargot, Seafood Diablo, and Grilled Grouper are what we selected and the portions of the food was very good. A must try.A+A+A+
Beautiful views, friendly staff, and delicious food. Highly recommend the ahi tuna. We absolutely will come back! Update 2022: The food and service were phenomenal yet again! Hands down the best meal and best service we had on the island. Tried the grouper this time and it was cooked to perfection!
Great food and atmosphere but needs a Manager to see that people are treated better as customers. Slow service and not seated for dinner with several open tables. Was told reservations were needed and watched others turned away with plenty of tables open. Not a good business model turning away money.
We had Chicken taco, fish sandwich, strawberry chicken salad, and chicken sandwich. Everyone was happy with their food, our server was great. I would give 6 stars for the service. It is right by the beach.
Please do not sell this place short. The food is fantastic, and the staff is exceptional. Fergie, Janelle, Javier, Germy, and Elijah are exceptional. They always make you feel right at home, and their hospitality skills are AMAZING. This will forever be our Home Away from Home
This is our little breakfast spot we frequent most mornings when we’re on holiday in Aruba. We sit at the bar and always receive wonderful service from Marceleta. The prices are fair and the breakfast food is consistently delicious and quick!
Would definitely go back. Food was good although I've had better lobster bisque. Something about the flavor was not to my liking, like a spice that I don't care for. Also ordered the ceviche and it was okay, it was served on a bed of lettuce so first time I ever had a dry ceviche. Also, we were there for nearly 2.5 hours but I think that's just how Aruba does dinner. Place was absolutely beautiful.
We are owners at Costa Linda and we love Water's Edge. We had the distinct pleasure of speaking with Roy (owner) while we waited for our meal and you can truly sense how much he cares about his patrons and his restaurant. My husband had the filet mignon which was very flavorful and very tender. The mashed potatoes and vegetables were also delicious. I had sauvignon blanc, a caesar salad, and the shrimp cocktail for my main meal. All were delicious. Brandy was our waitress and she was adorable. Kudos to the kitchen, wait staff, hostess and Roy.
Very nice ceviche, very delicious, the rest was O.K. Our waitress was very polite but sometimes your have to wave and call her to get her attention. Beautiful location.
Food was excellent, service was great (quick, friendly). The atmosphere wasn't the best fit for me, as it was quite loud due to the bar area/kids play areas. Highly recommend the frozen margarita and the shrimp scampi!
Food was decent for lunch. It appears they have changed their menu, sad to hear they no longer serve fish and chips! Mostly just sandwiches/burgers and salads. On par for resort food, hit a spot while lounging by the pool playing bingo ($5 for 3 cards). Service was a little slow but it was pretty busy. Wouldn’t go out of my way but decent if you’re in the area.
We decided to eat here for our first evening out on the island. Everyone was very nice but unfortunately the food was just okay. My husband and older daughter enjoyed theirs but my younger daughter and I didn’t like ours at all (fish & chips and chicken tenders and fries). The breading was the problem; just wasn’t appetizing (to us) and we’re usually easy to please. I ended up eating half of my husband’s steak and it was delicious! There was live music which we really enjoyed and two for one drink specials! Overall not a bad experience.
It took a while to get seated to our table. We waited at the bar. Our server was great. Our food was good. The seafood was tasty and fresh. Not over cook. This place is inside the costa linda resort.
We had a early dinner around 530pm, just in time for happy hour. Of course it was a bit noisy around the bar, but tolerable. For dinner we ordered Red Snapper and Mahi-Mahi which were very good. Our only complaint is with the mashed potatoes as they seemed to be instant, out of a box. While it shouldnt be a focus if they served fresh mashed w/lumps and a hint of garlic or other flavor the entire meal would have been top notch. For dessert we split a Coconut Flan and a coffee, both excellent. Overall a good experience.
Romantic spot where you can sit on their upper deck and have your feet in the sand, with live music playing. It’s hard to see the sunset from the outdoor seating. All the food options are well portioned and priced.
Food was great and service was very attentive. The drinks flowed during happy hour and it was a fun environment. The only downside is many flies show up once your food is at the table. It is an outdoor restaurant so there is not too much control over that unfortunately but it was annoying. Some of the best food I’ve had so far here though.
First I went to the bar and restaurant and I had meal and a drink which was good. I had Piña colada which was very nice and quesadilla. Then I went to the beach and after I saw that they have a small bar on the beach under the same name Water's edge and I wanted to have cocktail. It was a shift when girl named Mona Lisa was working and other 2 girls. I was told the drink cost $16 which surprise me but she said there is a whiskey inside so it's expensive so I was like- okay what to do, I came to enjoy. Then I paid with $20 bill and I got $1 back. I told them they gave me wrong change but then suddenly they said oh no there is a service charge of $2.40. I said the drink is very expensive and I should have been told that there is a extra charge ( I was not offered menu to see it written, but anyway they could have told me). I mean, I paid $24 for a drink and the meal now I'm paying 18.40 just for one drink! And instead of giving me $1.60 back she gave me only $1 back not even mentionong this 60 cents. She was giggling and I said it's not funny at all but she didn't react. Drink was made extremely strong so I asked for another one they did make it but it was weak in alcohol this time. After very nice experience in the restaurant above I had unpleasant experience in the bar below. All I ask is those girls to be a little bit more professional. Nowadays when everybody's milking you money, it's just not nice. But the giggling was so unprofessional and unnecessary For the bar and restaurant above I give all the good marks but if I can give to only this mall bar on the beach I give 0/5.
We had a reservation at 5:45 but got there earlier the hostess said she could seat us early and gave us a tiny table on a corner meanwhile the whole restaurant was almost empty except the bar area. When I asked for a different table it took a while to get seated. We finally got a table inside and it was quiet until a large group of diners came who didn't have regard for anybody else but their group. The room got loud, so take note if you want to have a quiet dinner this is definitely not the best seat in the house for that. Food was just ok so nothing to rave about. Overall experience was not what I expected after seeing so many positive reviews.
Food was excellent, we went there for drinks special 2 for 1, however we were charged a full drink when I sent it back, it was a watered downmargarita. I asked for another in its place. I was charged full priced for both when I only had one. The waiter did not want to adjust the bill. Gratuity was automatically added to the bill. The waitor did not deserve 15%, he was hard to find and was difficult to talk to. There was another nonlocal family waiting for a table and were bypassed by another local family. They are money orientated. We left before the sunset.
Unfriendly, annoyed staff. Served us black, burnt toast and were then annoyed that we pointed that out and had asked for new toast. They warned us it would take the kitchen very long to make new toast. Then got us new toast just 5 minutes after that. Weird. When we arrived, I asked them to please get crumbs of chair then got that chair replaced with another chair full of crumbs. Would not recommend, and I do not have high standards...
Service was OK at best. Do not expect fast drinks if you are dining. Appetizers were great. Steak was absolutely TERRIBLE and was sent back, but seafood and pasta was amazing. Great atmosphere. Live music was great.
The place is beautiful but the drinks and the food are terrible. My party of 7 was very dissatisfied. $400 dollars wasted. Ordered a steak medium well and it was hard and more rare . The red snapper fillet is over cooked with no seasoning. The mash potatoes are from a nursing home and cold. The fried calamari was a disaster. The Italian margarita Italy should be offended. The espresso martini water down. The best part was the bread and butter before the meal time. But the ceviche was on point very well .
Worst restaurant I've ever been to in Aruba. Although the staff is friendly, kind and helpful, it's not enough to get over the poor quality of food. The crab cakes were tasteless, red snapper was dry and poorly prepared and my wife's steak was undercooked, fatty and not what you would expect from a well established restaurant. Our favorite part of this restaurant besides leaving, was the freshly baked bread, baked potato and mashed potatoes. Perhaps we arrived on a bad night? Two thumbs up for the staff, two thumbs down for the food quality and atmosphere.
