My wife and I stopped at Alhambra casino and afterwards my wife wanted to eat at El Patio. Louis was our fantastic waiter. He explained all the delicious tacos and different items on the menu. My wife wanted the taco salad with chicken added. My wife loved the corn strip and said the chicken was very flavorful. I had with Louis recommendation the Pulpo Fish taco sooo flavorful. Also the ambiance and decor was so well thought out. We will definitely be back next year.

Best atmosphere, service and mexican food I’ve ever had. Big compliments to the designer of the restaurant! A must visit in Aruba!

The best food, service, and appearance of any restaurant I’ve been to in my life. The food was perfectly portioned, seasoned, and presented. Absolutely delicious taco salad and tacos. Plenty of vegetarian options as well. The service was friendly and enthusiastic. We raved about the experience so much that we had the pleasure of meeting the chef. Chef Mike is wonderful and talented. The outdoor seating was perfectly curated and designed for enjoyable intimate gatherings. I went with my friend and we had the best time. I cannot wait to go back!! I am deeply sad we don’t have an El Patio back home. Thank you Chef Mike, Anthony, Andrey, the hostess and other wait staff for an unforgettable night.

First time here and it was great. Finally, boneless wings in Aruba and they are great. They even have a homemade Ranch if you ask for it. The tacos and the corn ribs were excellent. Drinks and food were great. I highly recommend.

We discovered this place while strolling around the area and it was a huge surprise. The food was delicious and authentically mexican which is not always the case in other restaurants that we have tried. We had quesadillas with chicken and they brought us nachos with three different salsas as a starter for free. We also ordered buffalo wings which were boneless, spicy and very good! We can also recommend the mango and blueberry margaritas! All in all it was a great evening with a lovely waitress who took perfect care of us and we really enjoyed our dinner.

El Patio is a beautifully decorated restaurant that provides a welcoming atmosphere, an attentive staff and best of all the freshly prepared food. The drink selections are professionally prepared and a visual delight with robust taste. You won't be disappointed with a visit to El Patio.

What a hidden gem! This place is full of life, delicious food, and beautiful decor. We came in on a Saturday evening in our first visit to Aruba. Claudia, you have a gift from above. Loved celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We loved the live music and the service was outstanding. Bravo!!! Next we visit we will definitely visit ElPatio again! ❤️

Good location and easy to walk to. Went around 5ish pm and was definitely slower time - perfect for quick service as we were offered a table quickly, super friendly staff across the board, and complimentary chips and a few different salsas upon sitting. Service was unreal and super attentive, top tier. Ordered only vegetarian and got Cauliflower Tacos (2) that were stuffed full. Did not feel shorted even with just two tacos. Great flavor as well. Also got the street corn ribs and they were unique on presentation and also very tasty, hitting the street corn taste/flavor quite well. Mocktail menu is slightly limited but doesn't mean they aren't incredible. We got two different mocktails (Berry Biscus and Sweet Chipotle) which I'd highly recommend if going NA. Berry Biscus has a spicy punch to it which is great with the sour rim, and the Sweet Chipotle is basically like a shockingling real like Mescal flavor / cocktail Great first dinner spot on the trip and would recommend if looking for Mexican

Amazing atmosphere and food. The mood was excellent especially the deco and lighting with live music. We tried many dishes and loved all of the . Will be back again.

Great new restaurant near Casa Del Mar resort. There were many interesting mocktails which is appreciated (berry drink with poblano was very tasty) and the margarita with passion fruit was delicious. There were three fun salsas to start plus guacamole which was really good. We ordered 3 plates of tacos for 2 people which was the perfect amount - carnitas, carne asada and Baja fish - all of which had great flavor and sauces. Overall the service was very attentive and the atmosphere in the garden was lovely - we would definitely go back!

As locals living in Aruba, we're always looking for new places to try, and El Patio Restaurant was such a pleasant surprise! The atmosphere is warm and colorful, with beautiful Mexican-style decor that really sets the mood. It honestly felt like a little getaway without leaving the island. The food was delicious, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. We were a group of four and each ordered something different, from tacos to quesadillas, and everyone was really happy with their meal. What we especially liked is that it’s not just a spot for tourists, it’s a great place for locals too, especially if you're in the mood for something a bit different. All in all, El Patio is definitely a place we'll be coming back to. Highly recommended if you enjoy good Mexican food or just want to experience a different vibe for the evening!

Food is great, drinks are really terrific with a great mezcal selection and Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays they have a mariachi band. We actually went twice and Santiago was our waiter both times and he was too notch with the service.

We just finished an GREAT dinner and dessert at this restaurant. We had the coconut shrimp and Margarita shrimp tacos followed by the homemade warm churros with ice cream and both were excellent! Our server Edwin was great and we'll definitely be going back for the food and the great service!

Excellent experience! We honestly just stumbled on this place being so close to our resort, but it looked amazing from passing by and the food and service were excellent. Enjoyed the house margarita (hibiscus), the tacos and a quesadilla - along with a starter of coconut shrimp (perhaps the best I've ever had!). The trio of salsas were great (especially the macha one) as well. Dessert (churros) were also good, but perhaps not the best we've had, but coming with ice cream was a nice touch! Anthony, our waiter, was great too! He even recognized us later when we were walking by to try another place the next day! ;) We will definitely look to come back on a return visit! Perhaps a bit pricey for some, but the beautiful decor, ambiance, location and service were all worth it to us!

A great all around experience, I had the fish tacos and the wife had guacamole and both were great. Tried my first old fashion with tequila!

We were in Aruba from August 1-10 and stayed at palm beach the 1st and 9th and Casa Del Mar the 2nd-9th. I can not remember when we ate while at Casa Del Mar but we‘ll definitely be back. The trio of dips is AMAZING and the tacos and drink we got was also good. My daughter got a cheese quesadilla (she’s 9 and boring) which she enjoyed and we got churros with ice cream for dessert. Our server was super sweet and described the one dip we’ve never had to us numerous times because I kept forgetting because their drinks are strong lol. It was peanut, pumpkin seeds, chili flakes and olive oil I think. Whatever that special dip was it was amazing and very unique because we eat Mexican food ALOT and never had that type of salsa before.

The atmosphere was amazing, with live mariachi setting the perfect mood. The staff, especially Carlos, were welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious, and the margaritas were a great touch. The churros with ice cream were the highlight of the meal—definitely the cherry on top! We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back when we visit Aruba again.

All around 5 star restaurant! We just visited the recently opened El Patio restaurant, and absolutely loved it! Everything: the food, the service, decor, the ambiance, the music was excellent! This is our new favorite restaurant in Aruba. Mexican food with an interesting twist! Excellent guacamole, a flavourful black been dip, tender juicy tacos…We will definitely be back!

Absolute hidden gem in Aruba! Our server, Gabrielle, was sweet, informative, efficient and conscientious. Definitely would recommend this lovely little spot.

We had such a great experience at Tacos & Tequila! The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was fresh and full of flavor. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, and we were even serenaded by a mariachi band, which made the night extra special. The staff was impeccable — friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. And the margaritas? Amazing! A must-visit spot in Aruba if you’re looking for great food, great drinks, and a fun, vibrant vibe. Thank you, Reney😁😁😁

Super cute restaurant. They have happy hour from 5pm-6pm and 10pm - 11pm. Drinks were good. I will have to give the food another chance when I can get there earlier. We got there right before the kitchen closed so food was alright.

K

Beautifully decorated and delicious food! We dined here twice while staying at Bucuti and Tara and absolutely loved it. The chorizo cheese dip, quesabirria tacos, and the churros with ice cream were all amazing. Ignore the negative reviews and give it a shot. The staff is lovely and the chef is open to feedback. They have an amazing happy hour as well.

Stepping into El Patio feels like crossing the border into Mexico—vibrant vibes, warm hospitality, and flavors that dance on your tongue. The fish tacos are out of this world: crispy, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. And don’t even get me started on the homemade salsas—each one is a flavor bomb that elevates every bite. The staff are incredibly welcoming, making the whole experience feel like a fiesta. Highly recommend if you’re craving real-deal Mexican food with heart and soul. And thank you so much to Edwin for his welcoming smile and giving us a tour before we went in!

To quote another Google review, "The food, unfortunately, was very disappointing. The queso was not at all queso. It wasn’t a cheesy dip, rather a coagulated block of cheese that needed to be cut with a knife. The tortilla chips lacked any salt and were stale." Same experience. However, the octopus tacos were fantastic. I liked the fish taco (wife did not). Kid options are limited. Basically plain quesadilla as they do not have rice and beans or anything like that. Solid guacamole. Drinks are weak so I would pass on alcohol. People there however were so kind an attentive. We might go back just for the service, but if the rest did not improve would not.

I've been in Aruba for several months, staying at Divi Golf, and heard great things about this place. I recommended it to others, but one couple said their experience was terrible—so I decided to try it myself. My first visit was great—delicious food and good service. I’ve since returned three more times. The chips and red salsa are my favorite combo in Aruba (I always ask for extra red salsa). Unfortunately, the service is inconsistent. Some visits were excellent, but others were frustrating—on multiple visits I have had to remind the waiter 15–20 minutes later that I was still waiting on another Coke Zero while sitting at the bar, even when it wasn’t busy. That’s why I’m giving it 3 stars: great food, but hit-or-miss service. Updated Review – August 2025 A few months back, I left a 3-star review for El Patio Tacos & Tequila. My feedback at the time was simple the food was consistently great (especially the chips and red salsa, still my favorite combo in Aruba), but the service could be hit-or-miss. The restaurant responded professionally, acknowledged the issue, and said they would work on it. Fast forward to my visit a few nights ago, and I can honestly say I saw a real improvement. For the first time, someone other than our waiter stopped by our table to check in and make sure everything was good. Our waiter was attentive, got my order correct without delay, and kept an eye on our needs throughout the evening. The atmosphere was pleasant, we had a good breeze outside, and overall it was a much smoother experience than some of my earlier visits. I’ve never had an issue with the kitchen the food has always been a strong point but this time, the service matched it. I’ll be back in October and I’m hopeful I can report two great service experiences in a row. If they keep up this level of attentiveness, El Patio could move from “great food, inconsistent service” to a full-on favorite.

K
Kyanne Brooks

The first two people we encountered we’re rude they didn’t take the time to say good evening or acknowledged us at all the young gentleman who served us was great he gave us good service throughout the evening was really kind. The Coconut shrimp was amazing!!! The quesabirria was alright it had a weird taste to it but other than that the other food we ordered were pretty tasty. No sauces were served with the barbacoa tacos which personally i would have liked to received. But overall ambiance was fantastic which made up for the hiccups.

R

The atmosphere and service here are great for an outdoor drink near eagle beach. The food, unfortunately, was very disappointing. The queso was not at all queso. It wasn’t a cheesy dip, rather a coagulated block of cheese that needed to be cut with a knife. The tortilla chips lacked any salt and were stale and all 3 tacos we got were entirely flavorless. The drinks we ordered were also sweeter than expected, but I’m sure a margarita would be fine.

I was so excited to try this. We went on a Saturday at around 8:15 no reservation. We were seated within 5 minutes They have a tequila menu, which I ordered from. 15 minutes later, the waiter told me they didn’t have it. Ok I had a different very nice tequila. We ordered our food, which was delicious, but served another 20 minutes later, with no napkins or cutlery. We did ask but never came. Thank goodness you eat tacos with your hands!! Although the staff was nice the service wasn’t good. We hoped maybe they had a busy night and were overwhelmed so we tried again. This time we sat at the bar. The service was worse and the staff was not attentive or friendly. I really hope they get it together because the setting is lovely and the food is good.

Food was good. Mains came out before apps so luckily we were able to cancel the apps. It took a long time to get one cocktail. Ambiance is fabulous, but service is lackluster. The waiter would come and take our order, and instead of putting the order in, would walk to every table and take theirs before putting anything in — so naturally there would be back up with the flow.

R
Renae Greger

The food was disappointing. The chips and salsa were good because they use homemade chips. So I ordered the nachos thinking they’d be the same chips, nope not the same chips just regular cheap tortilla chips which made the nachos not worth it. The pulpo taco tasted fishy. Usually grilled octopus does not have a fishy taste. The shredded beef on my husband’s taco salad was bland. No one ever refilled our water. The atmosphere and decor was very nice and server was nice but they seemed understaffed because she was having to run all over the place. The food is just not up to par for us with so many great restaurants in Aruba.

T
Tarah Denardo

El Patio in Aruba is stunningly decorated and gives off the perfect Mexican vibe. It instantly reminded me of being back in Tulum. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to the atmosphere. Portions are on the smaller side, for example, the dips for the complimentary chips come in tiny ramekins, and tacos are served two per order, costing about $8–10 per taco depending on the type. While the meat was flavorful, the tacos were pretty plain, which the waiter did prepare us for that ahead of time, just tortilla and protein, with no toppings, salsa, or crema offered on the side. For the price, they weren’t very filling, and we found ourselves having to each order a second round. The drink menu looks great, but the cocktails we tried were overly sweet, even after asking for the more balanced options. The waiter offered to squeeze more lime in it to balance the sweetness, but I Insisted that it be remade without agave this time around. My father’s Bloody Mary, which was on the menu, caused some confusion - our waiter wasn’t sure if the bar could make it, and the bartenders seemed unsure as well. On a brighter note, the live mariachi band added a fun and festive touch to the experience. Overall, El Patio is a truly beautiful spot with an incredible ambiance that transports you to Mexico. With a few improvements to portion sizes, flavor balance, and consistency in service, it could easily become one of the most memorable dining experiences in Aruba.

J
Jessica Renaud

Overall a good choice for restaurants BUT be aware that nuts are not listed in any menu item, however, many tacos are served with a peanut based sauce called MACHA. The menu does not list this sauce as included with the item - you are only told that a sauce of some variety is included. To be fair this is a good restaurant but their info and practice for those with food allergies needs improvement.

Erin Frost

This was one of the worst restaurants I’ve been to in Aruba service wise. We came around 8:30. Ordered, didn’t get our appetizers until 9:30, mind you the tables around us that arrived afterwards, already got their apps. Around 10, the table next to us were already done with their entrees and had their check, and we still hadn’t gotten our entrees. We ended up leaving the restaurant without getting our entrees and asked for the check because it was ridiculous.

I spent one week in Aruba and this is the only place that really stood out to me. Worst (not just mediocre) food and horrible service from a male waiter. We received shrimp and barbacoa tacos with absolutely no toppings. No cilantro, no salsa, no lettuce, no tomatoes, nothing. Just a taco shell and unseasoned beef and shrimp. I am not a Mexican but I’ve been to México many times and tried Mexican food in other countries. This is the worst “Mexican” restaurant. Two medium size tacos with only two ingredients (if you count tortilla) for almost $20 is unheard of. Mexican food is very rich in flavor and ingredients. It’s juicy, flavorful and tasty, not dry, unseasoned and bland. This place, their cook and owners obviously don’t know what Mexican food is. I’ve been to 20+ different restaurants in Aruba (read my other reviews) this week and I will give them 5 stars but this place only gets 1 star for their design/ambiance. Food and service doesn’t deserve any stars. Our waiter was very cold and when we asked for a check, he accidentally disappeared for almost 10 minutes so we had to ask a different waiter to call him and bring us a check. He did but a wrong one! See the picture. This was a nail in a coffin on top of asking for a tip after this horrific experience. Do better if you want people to return to your place and recommend to others.

E
Eric Kaser

Octopus was boiled and wasn’t grilled. Sent back it was not good. Got carne asada. Meat was good but not much else to the taco to make it anything good. Margaritas were watery. Corn and Guacamole were good. Overpriced for what you received

N
Nicole Maddox

This was our first trip to Aruba. The atmosphere for this restaurant was nice however I can’t say the same for the food. Our sever was polite however our food was never put in for order. We were asked if we wanted the check and had to remind the waiter we never received our food. I ordered the fish tacos which were not good. They had no seasoning and were very dry. My husband ordered the steak tacos same thing no seasoning and the taco was filled with Arugula. The best part of our meal was the corn appetizer.

B
Bill King

Went here with some friends, ordered drinks, appetizers and food. Appetizer never arrived, only half of our tables food arrived. After three apologies and our friends completing their meal, we told them to just forget it. I asked for my wife’s glass of wine to be comped because of the non delivery of food. Was told the manager would need to approve. Excuse me but the manager should have personally visited the table and offered to comp everything. Would have liked to have tasted the food, but after an hour and 45 minutes, I have got to go. Such a shame, poor service and the manager could of at least shown his face because of the inconvience!

S
Steve Baldwin

Do not go here unless you like being treated like garbage. We did not have a reservation so we went to the bar and were treated like garbage by the manager yelling at us tha the bar is for people who have a reservation before their table i ready. I never felt so belittled in my life the way he spoke to all of us. We spend a lot of time here and will spread the word how we were treated.

M
Melissa D'Aniello

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE ANY KIND OF FOOD ALLERGIES. They do not take it seriously. Despite telling the waiter, and carefully reading the menu before ordering , I was violently ill. Spoke to the manager, and he stated everything is written on the menu. It is NOT. There is no indication of which foods contain butter or grated cheese which is hidden in some dishes and visible in others. Manager took 2 appetizers off the bill. What a joke

C
Christian Arellano

As a Mexican from Mexico, do not come here. The atmosphere and vibe is nice, but this is not authentic Mexican food. Extremely overpriced and they don’t specifically let you know that every meal is actually only 2 tacos for $20, no sides. $20 for 2 tacos that aren’t even authentic? Pass. If they were GOOD tacos, I’d understand the pricing, but these simply is not worth it. Seafood was also undercooked.

E
Emily G.

I thought it would be good. The patio was gorgeous. But man, this place was a scam. I’ve never had such overpriced crappy tacos. Their tacos were just meat. No pico or anything. No rice or beans. No lettuce. Just two meat-only tacos for a crazy price. We left disappointed and hungry. I should have known it would be bad. The faces of the other customers were just as disappointed. The waiter seemed embarrassed to be delivering these meals. Avoid!
