We absolutely LOVE Burney's. The staff is awesome - super sweet and kind! They have all different kinds of baked goods from cookies, to cupcakes, donuts, eclairs, cakes, you name it! The glazed croissants are a MUST HAVE when you go to Burney's. They are a staple and quite addicting. They make adorable wedding favors or can be presented as dessert at any event. They do custom orders as well. Give them a call or stop by the store and tell them your vision of what you are wanting and I bet they can make it happen! They also have ice cream from Maple View Farms. Go Burney's! :)
Delicious pastry shop that features a variety of tasty treats. The croissants are the reason to come here. They have a variety of glazed and filled croissants that are absolutely perfect. Brownies, cupcakes, and cookies are also available. The polite and warm staff is available to answer any questions you may have. If you see a long line, no worries, it moves fast.
After the suggestion from my manager during one of our team meetings (we talk about food a lot, hahahaha!) he mentioned a recent trip to Burney's. Well it took me a minute to get over here, but it did not disappoint! Croissants for days in all flavors and fillings... the cinnamon roll was magical. I am super excited to try more! Cake will absolutely be next...it almost was this morning 🤣 If you haven't been... go... NOW!!!🤣😁
Yes, there are sweets. They are very tasty. But, the “& more” in the title is what intrigues me. A hard pie with spinach and feta. Croissants of many varieties is the ultimate in pastry nirvana. HARD PIES!!! I didn’t know I needed them until now. I must tell Bobby Liebling. He will love them.
I found this adorable shop today while I was in the area for another appointment! It is very clean and smells wonderful! I was greeted by a gentleman who told me all about the shop and helped me with my order. We even got a sample! We purchases a variety of croissants and a cannoli. Everything we've tried has been delicious so far! We'll definitely be back, and I've already told many friends about it!
I've experienced the taste of Burney's items but never personally went in until yesterday. It's a nice small site. When you walk in, the smell of pure happiness floods your heart. I had no idea the variety of desserts that are available. I was in awe. The sweet crossiants are the best delights. Small or large. They stayed true to the lightness of a crossiant, but they elevated the taste with sweet goodness. Filled or not filled, they are great. My family and I enjoyed a variety box.... glazed, lemon filled, raspberry, creme cheese, and one topped with bacon. WOW!!! The list goes on and on. If they only have plain the display case, they will fill it with what you'd like. That was sweet. The name is BURNEY'S SWEETS & MORE. Yes!!! Yes!!!! Yes!!!! There are a lot of choices. They also have ice. Haven't tried it, but it's available. It is a hidden gem that my family and I have shared with numerous friends, and when family comes to town, it is one of our favorite things to share. See you again and thank you .
Our family did it's annual family reunion last week and Jamie made us two sheet cakes, in addition to croissants. Both were amazing and everyone raved about how moist they were and the icing was delicious. We will definitely order more for next years reunion. I look forward to visiting the store next time i'm in town. Thank you again, Jamie for your excellent work and care.
This is the most interesting and diverse dessert bakery in the triangle that I have been to. Croissants and different types of donuts all with various fillings available. Cakes, cupcakes, and other more dense desserts fill other pastry cases. Did I mention that they have fresh ice cream from a local NC farm? There’s so much variety, and they have a set of stuffed croissants that rotate out every month and a set that rotate out every week. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in the area.
They did an AMAZING job on my son's Pokémon birthday cake! The strawberry cake was delicious and everyone loved it. They were easy to work with and helped me out last minute. I wish I knew the cake decorators name so I could shout her out..she was awesome! I would definitely recommend Burney's for your next cake! Update: The cake decorators name is Quan. She's amazing and easy to work with!👏🏽
Love Burney’s! A hidden gem for sure, had them cater some desserts for my wedding and they were a huge hit! Love going in now to get the glazed and filled croissants!
Always a good experience at Burney's! The coffee was just right, the pastries were plentiful and the service was great! Shout-out to Jordan for their patience and enthusiastic customer service. This place has become my favorite bakery in the city!
Finally got to visit today for the first time after trying their desserts a few times at work. We got a variety of items (muffin, croissants, brownie, lemon bar) and they were all incredible. Everything was delicious, fresh and good looking. Prices were very good too.
We bought a mix of treats here and they were all awesome. I’m a big lemon pastry guy and they had a few options and all of them were great. The kids got these cake push-up pop things that were the highlight of there night and were for sure cool. Definitely will be back!!! Sorry for coming before y’all close but service was stellar!!!!
The only place we get our desserts and pastries. I have never had anything that wasn't delicious. Its so worth it!
I am so glad I was recommended to Burney’s. I have no complaints! The cooks are what makes this place and the waitresses do not miss a beat. The menu is simple but that’s all you need. Everything on our plates came out hot and ready to eat. The waitress was very sweet and had quick service. I think she even had a big party so sis was making hr money with the most pleasant attitude. She juggled her customers really well. They need a tip jar just for the cooks! Trust me incentives to the hard working people in the kitchen can be very rewarding and they deserve it. Even if people dont want to yell their gratitude like me to the kitchen they at-least need to tip the kitchen!
I love donuts and pastries as much as the next guy but Barney’s takes it to another level. They not only have donuts but the star of the show is the various croissants. They have more flavors of croissants than I have cousins….and I have a lot of cousins. I’d need 6 dozen just to feed them all. Beyond the donuts and croissants they have every shape of dough covered or filled with every type of fruit or confectionery you can think of. We’re going to have to come back every weekend for a month just to get through everything and we haven’t even talked about all the cakes, pies or the ice cream. For,sure a must stop shop
Picked up some sweet snacks before hiking for my YouTube channel "Beyond the Pavement". I was looking for donuts but ended up buying these crazy, delicious croissant looking things. I was very satisfied with what I got. They also have coffee and ice cream which is always a plus. Friendly staff. Clean establishment. I'll be back
Beautiful look. So many desserts and variations that you just have to buy something and when I say something I mean multiple things. The macaroons are flavorful especially their mango passion fruit. The s'mores hot coco cake tasted straight off of the campfire. The triple chocolate mousse cake had an awesome balance of creamy and chocolate. The doughnuts were fluffy and wonderful, not too much dough to filling. This was delightful and you should definitely try this place.
This is an example of quality baking and outstanding flavor. 1. Red velvet was okay. 5 2. Chocolate chunk cookie was semi-sweet and soft. 7 3. Peanut butter chocolate mini cake was delicious! 10 4. The croissant was the most moist and I should have gotten more than one. 10
We randomly stopped here after attending a festival, boy were we glad we did. We had ice cream, donuts and pastries. They were alll so delicious and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. We had kids (eye roll ) who were indecisive and we appreciated the staff member’s willingness to accommodate us. As previously stated, everything tasted amazing and high quality, as if baked at home. I highly recommend this place, we will definitely return next time we’re in Raleigh.
Very clean inside. Service was excellent. Don’t get me started on the croissants 🥐. It’s better than s&x! Soo fresh and omg I have never had such a good croissant in years. And I’m from NY. I was the director that came in today talking about my movie to the staff after overhearing their conversation. Thank you
Delicious assortment of donuts, croissants and treats. We especially loved the cinnamon twist and the chocolate filled croissant.

Very good airy doughnuts and deserts. Sorry no pics. I bought 2 dozen assorted doughnuts and my clients love them. Also got a couple of cinnamon rolls… good for the bread part, but no nuts or raisins.
What a great operation! I had a very large order for a breakfast event of over 800 people. Mini glazed Croissants were the answer! I ordered online and Jordan called me . She was so very helpful and she made a difference! She also delivered them to me! I will use this location over and over! Thank you !
I have traveled throughout Europe and indulged in pastries from some of the finest bakeries in Germany, Austria, and Paris, France. I can say—with complete confidence—that this pastry shop belongs in that same elite category. From the moment I walked in, the aroma of butter, sugar, and fresh dough transported me right back to the cafés lining the streets of Salzburg and the boulangeries tucked into the corners of Paris. The pastries here are made with a level of craftsmanship and attention to detail that is increasingly rare.

I got a carmel apple from this location and to be honest it was melted and the plastic was extremely hard to get off. When i was eating there were shards of plastic that were in my caramel!! The sweet was good but if i had to get somone to help me it is outrageous. It cost 6$ whoch wasnt a lot but not good for the experience i had
First time coming here, overall 4.5/5 stars. I got the feta/spinach hand pie, lemon and peppermint glazed croissant, lemon bar, and Italian rainbow cookie, along with a latte. The lemon bar and spinach/feta pie were pretty good, but could’ve been better. The hand pie would’ve been much better warm, but it had a good flavor to it. The lemon bar was a little too sweet for my liking (which is a personal preference) and it needed more actual lemon flavor. The Italian cookie and the croissants were delicious though. They’re known for their glazed croissants which is basically a donut but even better! They’re soft on the inside, flaky on the outside. Peppermint one tasted just like those powdery mints you get, it was so good! The ladies there were very friendly, I got a free sample, they recommended things to me. And best of all, it’s affordable!! Omg everything else is so expensive around here, but not this place! I would definitely come back! And I plan on it, to try the other things they have.

Had the pecan pie brownie, lemon bar, and peach pie with crumble top... all so delish! 😋😋😋 Service could be better (girl seemed annoyed me and 2-3 other customers came in around same time). But sweets were wonderful!

Burney’s Sweets and More has a solid reputation for its desserts, cakes, donuts, ice cream, and, most notably, its glazed croissants. We made a special trip across town, excited to try them, but the experience left us with mixed impressions. The biggest frustration? The coffee setup. They don’t offer real sugar—only sugar substitutes. Thinking it might just be missing from the counter, we asked, only to be told they simply don’t have it. For a place that puts so much effort into their sweets, this seemed like an odd and disappointing omission. As for the glazed croissants, they’re not actually croissants in the traditional sense. Instead of flaky, layered pastry, they’re made from donut batter shaped like croissants. It’s a creative and visually appealing twist, but not what we expected. If you’re imagining a traditional French-style croissant with a glaze, you won’t find it here. The service was polite but not particularly warm. The woman who helped us was friendly in the way that’s more about Southern politeness than genuine hospitality—obligatory rather than welcoming. Burney’s certainly has its appeal, but if you’re going out of your way for a specific experience, it’s worth knowing what to expect.

I had a difficult time deciding what I wanted to rate my experience with Burney’s Sweets & More. I ordered 15 lemon bars and 15 vegan peanut blondies. The lemon bars were for my boyfriend’s birthday and I ordered the vegan peanut butter Blondies for myself. For the two desserts this is how I would read them individually: Vegan peanut butter blondies: 2 stars Lemon bars: 5 stars My boyfriend loved the lemon bars that I purchased for his birthday. He said that they were delicious and tasted exactly like he wanted them to. However, we were both disappointed by the vegan peanut butter blondies. The Blondies were not the consistency of your typical Blondie or brownie, They were more of the consistency of a protein bar with a glob of peanut butter on top of it. For the price I paid for the vegan peanut butter blondies, which was $60, I expected a lot more than what I received. It was not worth $60; for something I could’ve baked myself if I had the time. It did not reach my expectations nor was it what I was hoping for it to be, based on the name (or having had blondies before going dairy-free). Additionally, I bit into something extremely hard while chewing on the peanut butter Blondie. When taking a closer look it definitely looked like the pit of some sort of fruit, which is extremely dangerous. I was lucky that I did not hurt myself while eating it or chip a tooth. My boyfriend also bit into one and found a giant pit. Of course this bakery does not cater to non-dairy or vegan treats, but I did expect something similar to what I thought I was purchasing, which was not a Blondie at all. I would recommend this place for people that are looking for a lemon bars or something dairy friendly. The staff was accommodating and friendly, in additional to attending to my needs despite the delay in my order.
First off, the bakery items themselves are great. I have no issues with them. It's the cafe orders that's the problem. I've been a barista for about seven years, and so I got excited when I heard about a café/dessert parlor nearby. I have tried the coffee and food here three times. I usually order the same thing: a large oat latte with some sort of syrup. It's simple, so I was surprised when the first few times I ordered, the latte was essentially tasteless. I realized paying for the syrup is not efficient because I don't think it's possible to truly get a flavored latte here unless you ask for extra pumps, and even then, the order might still be wrong unless you want to hover around the café ensuring the syrup is being added or the right milk is beind used. The baristas usually take orders by mouth and I'm not sure if that has something to do with why it's always been wrong, but that could be something. Both times, I tasted the latte and decided to just add sugar. As a barista, I don't personally make it a point to have anyone remake a drink but I will ask for a refund if I'm not in a rush. I want to emphasize that both times, I did not care to refund or have the drink remade because while the syrup was lacking, everything else about the latte was fine. I just added sugar and chalked it to the game, as I didn't care that much. But today, I decided to go while I had more time and specifically asked the barista to pump the syrup into a separate cup. She asked me how many pumps, I asked for four. I figured that would solve the issue, I could add it myself. But when I got home, I noticed that this time, the latte wasn't a latte. 😭 The milk, when steamed, should take on a creamier texture and there should be froth from the steam wand. I opened my cup, and y'all. This is literally either an Americano or coffee. I'm not going to lie, I was in shock. I had issues before but they were never this blatant. I poured the latte into a separate cup just to see if I was crazy and it's like I was watching dishwater filter into the cup, I legitimately had to consider going back and asking what that was just because when I went to check the syrup, there was a DRIBBLE. I honestly had to wonder if they have beef with me. Because why is it that every time I go there, the bakery items are on point and I'm going to make the grand assumption that it has little to do with the front of house, and everything to do with the pastry chefs. But the baristas? Man. Oat milk, even if it's an alternative milk, should never look this color or thin if it's been steamed with espresso. Both times I got a latte with alternative milk before, it was properly steamed at the very least. So I know this is just a consistent issue, café drinks either have something missing or something wrong. Or maybe the espresso machine pumped out more water than milk, I really don't know. If you order coffee here, specifically espresso drinks not just regular brewed coffee, make sure to triple check your drink and get it corrected because this is as absolutely not a well-done latte by any means. I took a video of it being poured and it was so runny and thin, as an experienced barista that isn't even picky and WILL drink most things as long as the basics are there, I legitimately feel like there needs to be more training on café drinks. I spat it out so fast that it wasn't even funny. I don't even leave negative reviews usually, but wow. Tip + coffee + alt milk + flavor prices. Baristas have it rough, but if I was patient, pleasant, and paid for an order, it should come out right. You tell me if that looks watery or like steamed milk to you.

Genuinely could not be more average. You can find the same quality and taste from probably any grocery store in town. The fruit fillings tasted like generic pie filling out of a can. I can’t imagine I would ever come back
I'm really disappointed with my recent experiences at this bakery. It's a shame because the cakes, donuts, and croissants taste good. Yesterday, I ordered 4 donuts and was given 4 croissants instead, which I didn't realize until I got home. More concerningly, this is the second time I've found hair in my food; this time it was in a slice of cake (photo attached). It makes me question the kitchen's hygiene practices, particularly whether hairnets are consistently used. While I love the taste of the baked goods, these issues have seriously impacted my view of this shop. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and implements stricter quality control measures.

Unfortunately, the sweets were dry and stale. The brownie was especially disappointing and not welcoming at all. In addition, the restroom was not very clean, which took away from the overall experience. I was expecting much better quality and cleanliness.
