Food Allergy friendly!! Family is allergic to gluten, diary, garlic and onion. Shift Manager was very friendly and let us see the allergy sheet so we could make decisions. They were incredibly respectful of the allergies and we couldn't be happier. Wish we had a closer one to us in Beaver County PA!

The best place to go when you're in the mood for a hot dog. But, their hamburgers and chicken sandwiches are awesome also. I like the split which allows you to order a half and half order of fries and onion rings! They have dips for your fries now too. You can order a "flight" of dips for $1.50. Don't go in a hurry. Your order is grilled fresh, along with everyone ahead of you. But it's worth the wait!

Great hotdogs, French fries and fountain soda

Had a rare hankering for a hotdog. Ted's would be the place to go.So, I went to Ted's. A look-see of the menu, something else got my attention: sausage with grilled peppers and onions. Had to decide between Polish or Italian. Italian won out. Women worked the grill and front end. Historically I've seen men at the grill. The Italian sausage link was charcoal broil grilled to perfection. Perfect amount of peppers and onions. They drain them first, so it isn't messy. Wanted something more but I'm not really into fast food and fried foods like french fries and onion rings. I asked how the potato salad was and they showed it to me. It looked good. Portion was good too. They said lots of people come in and order the potato salad and come back for it. I was offered salt and pepper--I've got pepper mill and Himalayan salt in the vehicle. Didn't need it. The stuff was perfectly tasty as is. Maybe I should stop there more than once every 3 years. Taste bud and pocketbook friendly.

What can be said? Teds is the best. There's a reason it's a WNY staple that is unsurpassed, that competing businesses that pop up don't last. Teds keeps it simple and hones what they do to perfection that borders on fine art. Even better, there is a strong focus on customer service and a politeness you don't always get at fast service restaurants.

Ted's is always a family loved go-to meal option for us. Grilled and made to order and friendly consistent staff. They have also grown in diversity of their menu items to accommodate more people for their diet options (vegetarian, etc.).

Fresh off the charcoal grill... Their hotdogs and hamburgers are the best! They got all the toppings to go with your order. If you are a local or visiting from out of town and want to try a Buffalo favorite restaurant, check out Ted's. They are considered a fast food restaurant, but Ted's is much better than all the chain fast food restaurants. Always fresh always delicious!

First and foremost, none of the staff turned into a werewolf while my friend and I had our meals. Now, I can't say there are definitely no werewolves working at this location, but I'm confident enough to go back in the future. The hot dogs are wonderful, the fries are always fresh, and I didn't have to worry about werewolves this evening. Overall, a lovely spot.

The hot dogs were charbroiled to our preference of slightly burnt and the fries were home made and crispy flavourful. The environment was clean and roomy.

Friendly Staff, held a great conversation while they cooked my food on the charcoal grill! Food itself was excellent and their homemade hot sauce I'd have again. Shoulda bought some to take home! Price is exceptable with the quality of the meal.

Mmmm Ted's! Always a good experience when we go to Ted's. No complaints. I love that when I ask for extra pickles (a pregnancy necessity lol) that they actually give me a BUNCH of extra pickles! I also love their Teddy bars!! They are so yummy!!

It's been years since I have eaten one of their hotdogs! I am from Florida. I came up there to visit a few times before 2013. It was in January that was my first visit...about 4 feet of snow and I was taken into your place and I thought I was in Heaven...lol. Best hot dogs ever! I suggested y'all open up one in Clearwater on Clearwater Beach. You really should. There isn't a better hot dog than y'alls. And OMGAWD....the chili and the onion rings are delicious too!

Ate at Ted's my first time as a four year old kid. Returned this year (68 years later) to eat the same tasty hot dogs and fries with vinegar! What a great experience!

This place is a must go! The idea and the style of old-fashioned diner is spot on. The food is cooked to your liking, right there in front of you, and is always hot since it is made to order. I had it for the first time and I will make it a must return place for sure! There was not a bad thing about it. Great prices and the onion rings are AMAZING!

It has been 15+ years since I have had a Ted's char broiled hot dog. I live in Dallas,TX now and there are absolutely no locations remotely close to me in Texas. So when I returned home for a visit I made a beeline for Ted's for an all beef hot dog and it was just as awesome as I remembered...the best hot dog experience EVER!!!! 😎💜👩‍🍳

Enjoyed a couple of corn dogs and a well done fry today. I like that they fry the corn dogs...so much better that way. Good efficient and friendly service. I have enjoyed getting their hot dogs fresh off the grill in the past too. If you don't like your dog blackened just mention it when you order as they will typically do them well done. They always do a great job tracking all of the dogs they have on the grill and mine always ends up just right. And if you like milkshakes they do a nice job with these too. Always love the orange cream shake when I decide to have one.

Service was quick, no line whatsoever. Service was professional and friendly. I had a Barbecue Chicken sandwich, a hotdog and fries, my wife had a Jumbo Cheeseburger. Everything was fresh cooked perfectly and delicious! All in all I would say I would say we were very happy with our experience at this Teds location today!

they made the food fast, took care of the line faster and the food is good too! I go all the time for lunch and its right around the corner so it works out good. the location is easy to get to and there is lots of parking not to mention the handicap parking and ramps are right at the front of the building. Would definitely recommend to anyone. they are also great for a family lunch.

Great place for excellent hot dogs. Love when they have coupons, saves around $3 on two hot dogs. They cook the hot dogs the way you want them, even toasting the roll. Fries are a portion that can be shared. Workers were efficient and friendly. Satisfies the hunger for a good hot dog.

Great food. Quick service. Kids love the burgers. Also clean inside. Would like to shoot out the young men in there. Saw an elderly woman drop a drink. Started walking over to help her and a young man came from the back helped her with it and helped her out the door. Then cleaned up. Great to see. Parents and team at Ted's should be proud of him. Ted's is by FAR the best place in the area to get a hot dog. They take a lowly, common food item and raise it to become a true culinary experience! Every topping imaginable, and their sides are great, too. Family-friendly atmosphere.

Fantastic hot dogs, we had a great time. Asked for extra charred dogs & they were perfectly browned. Chili sauce was good too. The onion rings were lightly battered and not too greasy. I would highly recommend this iconic Buffalo stop.

Obsessed with the original dine-in experience. Amazingly good food. Hot dogs cooked perfection right in front of you. I was super sad about their fish fry being just frozen out of a bag. But they were good nonetheless.. You must get the loganberry.

A local delicacy featuring char-grilled hotdogs and fantastic shoestring French fries. Tons of topping from traditional to not so traditional. I recommend the sauerkraut and mustard, or barbeque sauce and caramelized onions. The restaurant is not fancy but it is always delicious.

Being Able to sit outside in the bright spring sunshine was a wonderful thing. Guarded from the heat by their patio was wonderful.! My burger was a single just the way I like it done as much as I like, and my daughter got a burger and added bacon and onion rings to it. Both of the burgers were just singles, but very excellent taste and outstanding toppings actually.. The fries were bacon cheddar and just the right amount of bacon and cheese where some places just throw on way too much. This was exactly the amount that was needed and the french fries were crispy but not overly so again being something that was perfect for us!

Great service and great food! Have not been here since my dad took me 20 years ago! Took my friend on the way back to Toronto and we both loved it. The service is quick and friendly. I recommend getting the all beef with onion rings. The place is also incredibly clean and well taken care of.

Best onion rings I've ever had. Everything is cooked in front of you and their toppings allow some pretty unique sandwiches/burgers/dogs. Perfect for strange cravings. They have good shakes too.

The best hot dogs, burgers and hand made old fashioned milkshakes anywhere! True bbq cooking over real hardwood lump charcoal. Does not get any better. Everything cooked to order. No heat lamp or warmer tray foods here. No wimpy luke warm fries. Ted's is the best.

Ted's is one of the best places for dog & burgers. Done to order over hardwood charcoal! Toppings are phenomenal especially the hot sauce which is relish style. The sausage & glorious are Sahlen's smokehouse style which is the best snappy dog you will ever have. Fries are fresh cut & very good. Im hungry just writing this! Go get some! Im a fan of a footlong dog & burger together, but then again, im husky!

Good selection of hot dogs, burgers and shakes at decent prices. Burgers, chicken sandwiches and small and large hot dogs, you pick the toppings and fixings and they apply them. Thin cut, shoestring style fries. Service is pretty fast. Definitely on the greasier side, even as this type of food is concerned; but if that's what you're looking for, then Ted's is definitely a great choice.

I love the old school hot dog stand feel. It is really neat that they have the large grill and cook right in front of you. The staff is friendly. In the summer you can eat on the patio if you choose. I am a vegatarian and they have veggie dogs. My 4yo son is a very picky eater and he absolutely loves the skinless dogs

Love the charcoal grilled hot dogs etc. Picked up take out and server helped carry things to car for me. The staff is always good about asking if they need to change their gloves before handling my GF bun. I would give it a five for this visit if they accepted Discover.

It is a good place that will bring back childhood memories. The food is good, a bit pricey for hot dogs and the like but you are paying for the experience (and the effort it takes to cook on charcoal). If you are not from the Buffalo area, it is worth a try

I love hot dogs, but Ted's prices are really high. Their food is good, but their prices have sky rocketed. Also, you used to get the sauerkraut free on your dog, not any more.

The price for the size of the burger doesn't match. Cooked on an open flame cast iron right in front of you, but it was too quick and lacked a grilled, woody, or even charcoal flavor you would expect in this environment. But, better than a fast food chain.

Best Ted’s in WNY food wise, the chicken here at the NT location is always moist yet cooked thoroughly. Ted’s on Sheridan and the Blvd have stringy, dry chicken. Prices are too high and service can be a little slow at times but it’s worth it for the food quality. Only Ted’s I’ll eat at.

Very expensive. Extra ingredients (cheese) prices out of site. People around me had bills of 45 to 50 dollars for hot dogs etc. Prices way high.I know costs are high but this is more fast food not restaurant dinners.

23 dollars for a shake, chicken sandwich, and a fry.... every thing was good. But really 23 bucks for 3 items? Everything I come here I notice the price rising and I don't come back for a while as I tend to avoid it unless I have to. But 6 dollars a hot dog, is just crazy.

Been going to Ted's in WNY all my life... The food quality is starting to slip badly. Becoming more of a fast food joint then a hot dog stand things are getting cheap & bland.

Teds is a WNY tradition but the pricing is ridiculous. While the quality’s what I’d expect, they really seem to gouge... Two foot longs and a small pop was knocking on $12.00... it’s a hotdog and pop from a fountain. It’s good but not that good.

It's an expensive hotdog that's been cooked for you. Not really any atmosphere at all. The food is typically good, it's just gotten really expensive.

I may be biased a little because I've been spoiled with all beef Chicago dogs most my life but red hots just aren't good. And I feel like the hot dogs are a little undercooked here. I do however LOVE the idea of the "split". It is a side order that is half onion rings and half fries.

Love going to Ted’s and until tonight never had a problem. The cook a woman who seemed to be running the show failed me as a customer. Placed our order of 2 hot dogs and a large fry . Boy did we wait . She took care of an employee and at least 4 other people before she cooked our dogs. I complained to a nice young guy on the line and he finally pulled our dogs off the grill. Thank you young man. The lady had an attitude when I asked where my food was. Please take care of the people in order . Not your favorites . That’s not good customer service . Rethinking my next visit .

I feel bad giving this place only a 3-star as it has a lovely charm along with food that my teenage kids really loved. I'm sure they would have given it a 5-star. As a Canadian from Toronto, I heard about Ted's Hot Dogs and was truly looking forward to giving this place a try. I ordered Polish sausage dogs with onion rings and fries for myself and the kids. The onion rings were great, but the sausage dog was meh, nothing special although my kids loved it. For those of you who have been to Toronto, you may know that the city is famous for its street hot dogs served by many street vendors and hot dog stands. As a fan of Toronto's street hot dogs, I was hoping Ted's Hot Dogs would be just as good if not better. Unfortunately this is not the case. The Toronto hot dogs are way, way better, in fact out of ball park better compared to Ted's. Not only are they bigger and tastier, but there are also far more choices of condiments. In fact, Ted's management needs to make a trip to Toronto to learn how hot dogs are truly made.

I don't go to Ted's very often but can imagine this location is similar to other locations. My son and I visited on a sat afternoon and the line was so long many people walked in and turned around to walk right back out. Not the cleanest of restaurants but I asnt5really expecting it to be sparkling. The food was pretty good for a fast food joint. Although it was very busy there was plenty of room to sit.

Food was basic but decent. A little overpriced for what you get. I ordered a bratwurst (6.99) and a side of cheese fries (6.08). Fries were thin shoestring type fries which were crispy but lacked much flavor. Bratwurst was average. Staff was friendly..

A classic hot dog and hamburger grill. The history is awesome, but the prices are steep for the restaurant atmosphere. I hope places like this can stick around because they are fun to go to! The Ted's signature sauce is awesome!

Gotta say portions have gone down. Prices have gone up French frys are small compared to what they use to be even burgers. I still think the food is good but not enough bang for the buck.

With the 90 cent Hotdog special you think they would've been more prepared by having a grill outside grilling hotdogs and grilling ahead not to order. Also need to limit people to the number they can buy to help keep the line flowing almost 2hrs waiting. Poor operating management.

Used to be good. Look, we all get COVID and it's impacts but if you have someone taking orders at the door with a tablet and you are starting milkshakes and still making fries when people get to the register (a 10+ minute trip mind you) that isn't COVID, it's a complete lack of competance.

Food quality and value have gone down as prices have gone up. Eat at 2 different Teds 3 times in the last 2 months and have gotten stale rolls twice. Skip the polish sausage - over priced and not good.

Not the same Ted's that I grew up with. Seems like the overall standards may have dropped from what I remember. If you've never been to Ted's, it is a staple in WNY for their chargrilled hot dogs and hamburgers. Known for the unique flavor of being cooked on a cast iron grill over real charcoal briquettes. You place your order for hot dogs, burgers, French fries, onion rings, and such at the grill. Once your meats are cooked, you tell them what you want to drink and which toppings and fixings you want on the hot dogs and hamburgers. They also have soft drinks and shakes. I went here for dinner, and there were about 6 people in front of me in line. Usually, the line moves fast as they are quick to take orders and get everything cooked and moving along. Not this visit. They were shuffling employees around as employees were asking to go to the bathroom and go on break. The line moved very slowly, and I ended up waiting over 30 minutes in line with only 6 people in line ahead of me. I ordered two hot dogs and a hamburger. They had my burger cooked very quickly, but they then let it sit for a while before it was my turn to tell them what toppings I wanted on it. My burger was cold and dry by the time it was topped and handed to me. Hot dogs had the wrong toppings on them, but the French fries were good. As suspected, the burger was dry and cold. All in all, it was not a good experience and a complete reversal from how I remember Ted's being when I grew up going here regularly. I usually don't visit the North Tonawanda Ted's, so maybe this location has always been mediocre at best. Nothing positively memorable about this location.

Expensive. $5 for hamburger/hotdog $5 for fries and 4 for a regular drink. Almost $20 for something anyone can cook on a grill at any given time. Food quality is not the same as before. Food quality has gone down but the prices continue to go up. Stay home, cook on your grill. You’ll have better food and save some money .

It was ok........🤷🏽‍♂️ I expected more. Great intent with the charcoal grilled dogs. Great topping options. Flavor was mediocre at best. Fries and onion rings were the highlight of my visit. I've been. I probably won't go again.

It was adequate, I miss the old Ted's when you could get a hamburger on a roll know it's a production. The quality is Has decrease while the prices increase. I stopped there only because it was there, but if there was another choice nearby I would have gotten their.

8/27/2020 I left two tips on two small to-go orders & they still messed it up. 🙄 My side of Bacon Cheese Fries came with bacon, cheese & no fries. ☹️ I guess that's my fault for not checking the bags before I got back to the hotel.

I went to the store in north Tonawanda and as soon as I got up to order the girl gave me a hard time about my mask which is a child's because that's all I had with me at the moment. So clearly it didn't fit properly. I advised her I was fully vaccinated and showed her my card. She said so and said I needed to cover my face completely. I got the vaccine because I have lung issues which the mask hampers my breathing. Thank you Ted's for making a big production out of nothing.

My kids and I usually love Ted's, but today every employee was rude and the cashier even said, "Jesus Christ" under his breath because someone asked for something after they had walked away. Everyone in line was uncomfortable. I've never had this type of experience here, but I really regret coming here today.

Sadly this place is not what it once was. Charging me extra for pepper and onions on an Italian sausage was line for me. I have ordered it for many years and it always came with. Now they want to nickel and dime customers for clearly worse quality food. The chicken sandwich we were served was a joke, multiple pieces of chicken that just fell apart. Had to go get a knife and fork to eat a sandwich. This used to be a place I ate at once a week. I had to change my positive review because now I don't believe in recommending it to anyone.

Everyone that knows me - knows I love this place but this location has me really questioning my life. Been to this location around 200 times over 10 years. I ordered a hot dog and fries, and asked for the hot dog to be on a little bit longer- because I like them burnt… the grill cook left right away for a break, and by the time I got to the register, paid for my food… there was no food. So they were cashing people behind me, while he threw on another hot dog for me… 2 minutes later it was “done”. If you ever bite into a cold uncooked hotdog, you know it’s enough to ruin your night. They changed the fries a few years ago, and now they taste like garbage so they couldn’t even save the day. This isn’t an isolated incident, this is the end of a long string food poisoning, bad service and overall annoyance. What was once on my mt Rushmore of fast food, is now on my do not go list. I do not hastily give out bad reviews, but it was such a bad experience it pushed me over the edge. I have such cherished memories of this place, but for me- I may be retiring.

I got takeout for once instead of going in to eat. Food was ready on time but my hot dog was dry and missing half of the condiments I ordered. The couple condiments they did put on ended up mostly in the bag. My burger was also missing 3 of the ingredients I ordered and tasted old even though I got it home within 20 minutes of ordering it. Worst food from Ted’s I’ve ever had.
