Help my sisters bridal shower here and they did such an amazing job. So much delicious food and options for guests to choose from, and they were extremely kind and accommodating about diet restrictions. Love harbor house!

Enjoyed a relaxing and very good early lunch at Harbor House in Northport on 3/20/26. The restaurant is very nice and intimate. My wife enjoyed a good glass of Reisling and we both had the fish sandwhichs with included side salad. The portions were large and perfectly cooked. I asked the server (sorry forgot name) if I could have fish grilled which they gladly accommodated. The Server was excellent and very personable.The tartufo for dessert was great more than enough for two. Will definitely be returning.

I am reluctant to write this review only because I am selfish. I don't want this restaurant to become so popular that it becomes impossible to get a reservation. I have eaten here MANY times in the last 2 years. NEVER a bad or mediocre meal. It does not matter, fish or otherwise, always dynamite. Ownership and staff are the bomb! Be sure to pay attention to the daily specials.

Good menu at reasonable prices and location is good as well. After meals walk to the Marina and enjoy the outdoors.

Cozy spot. Northport salad is a nice twist on a cauesar. Filet Mignon was excellent and cooked to order. Lobster roll was delicious and came along with crispy fries. Large portions and solid drinks.

Honestly, I’m picky. I don’t like anything. I found the food here to be really good. Better than most places in NP. I’m underwhelmed by a lot of places. Is it michelin star? No. But it’s a great LI eatery. The staff is great and the vibe is good. The food was better than most and not expensive. Come and enjoy!

After calling multiple restaurants in search of Sangria with no avail. The staff at Harbor House went out of their way to make some delicious homemade sangria from scratch! Beautiful establishment with friendly staff, highly recommend...see you soon!

For the second year in a row, my boyfriend and I had Christmas Eve dinner at Harbor House. The food was delicious as usual. In adittion it's an amazing place and the service was perfect.

A favorite in Northport. Great food; great service. Food is always fresh and pre quality very consistent. Recommend the mussels app and grouper entree.. desserts are great, too. Key lime pie, yum!

Harbor House graciously worked with me to get a reservation for a large party at the last minute when I was running out of options. The food was delicious. They offer a great variety so you’ll be able to find something for everyone. Our waitress (I believe her name was Pam) made everyone feel at home. I would definitely go back!

Harbor House never ceases to delight, with impeccable service, warm & friendly staffers, attentive to every detail. The Doordash experience is equally marvelous, as each dish is prepared to perfection - try the scrumptious ahi tuna or salmon, the divine simplicity of their filet of sole, or treat yourself to the best lobster roll south of Maine - warm, overstuffed & fresh from the sea. Harbor House is on auto-repeat for our family, both dine-in and lazy DoorDash nights at home. Gotta run, doorbell!

Food was fantastic, I had the veal special and was one of the best meals I have ever had. The outdoor seating was such a good atmosphere. Chelsea was a great server, friendly and didn’t make us feel neglected or rushed. My girlfriend is gluten free and they were very knowledgeable.

Kevin the manager and Caroline the server were amazing and the extended their hospitality to my family and friends. During the busy dinner rush they were able squeeze a table in for us. Caroline was attentive and friendly to the whole family. Not only was the service and hospitality reason enough to return but the food was impeccable. Great cuisine that delivered on quality and taste. Fresh fish and oysters, delicious veal and a well paired wine list. I’ll be back for a date with my wife or with the family. I highly recommend it.

This was a first time for me. Katie behind the bar, and Carolyn running the floor were super friendly. This was great all around. Rice balls & avocado shrimp appetizers were excellent. Monkfish entree, was outstanding. What a great spot for a cozy night out! Harbor House is a winner and thanks to Kelly H. for the night out! Go for the seafood. If desserts are your thing forget it. I was impressed with the quality of their fresh seafood. The mussels were small but tasty —sauce delicious. Oysters and clam’s excellent. Crab salad nice although maybe offering extra crab as an extra would be good. Fettuccine with clams tasty

This restaurant, staff and owner was absolutely amazing! If you’re in the area this is your spot! Delicious food! Amazing and CARING service! The owner was super attentive to me from the moment I walked in assuring I was being helped. He was very active in his restaurant making sure everyone was being taken care of. I told the hostess I need an outdoor table and was willing to wait because we have a very active 3 year old boy and have a big bulky stroller. The owner overheard and offered us a table that is in the far back. Kinda separate from the restaurant. We were like “yes absolutely!”. We had to walk down a block to an alley to get through with our stroller which is where he said he’d meet us, which he did. As he’s taking us through to the back way he told us all the history that’s there. What the buildings were used for back in the day for the horses...etc. super cool experience. As we approached our table we walked past the kitchen where he said hello to his kitchen staff who gave us a smile and said hello to us. I mention this because you can see the love he has for not only his restaurant but his staff. At the table we were greeted by our waitress who was amazing as well. The food and drinks were amazing!!! About an hour into our dinner it started raining. We were not under the canopy so we got rained on for a few seconds before about 3 staff members and the owner got us up and moved us to an available table under the awning. I’ve been to hundreds of restaurants and never felt so cared for. With delicious food! My husband and I both left that night saying anytime we visit Northport we will go there every time! I never write reviews, but I had to share! Support small business!

Not only does the Harbor House have the freshest and most delicious food, but the ambiance is the best of any restaurant in the village. The owner and bartender are the kindest people I’ve met since coming here. I’ve never enjoyed sitting on any barstool anywhere. When I’m at the Harbor House it’s a must. Great laughs with the finest people and food. Enjoy!

This is truly one of my favorite places to go along with it sister the Bistro. Fantastic woman chef, great martinis menu is always different and everything’s perfect service the owners always in and out checking and making sure everything‘s going. Perfect bartenders really know how to make wonderful drinks and all drinks are expensive today so you really want a good drink for your money and that’s a sure thing here , the owner really knows how to run his business is very family like to his employees. You can tell it’s a great atmosphere everything is pleasing and you always leave with a great experience. I really hope they bring the Englemans theaters prefix menu back. That was a lot of fun great way to try the place and to see how amazing it is and you always keep coming back ! Something on the menu for everybody! I applaud the owner for being hands-on and looking for excellence, not only at the Harbor house, but at his other the bistro as well I’m always bouncing back-and-forth between the two and I always recommend them to everybody first, when they come in to town since I work in the area!

My family loves to go out for seafood and my daughter loves ousters. I went on line and looked up oysters near me and found the Harbor House. Since then my parents have gone there more then me. My dad has specific diets, and he found entrées. Service is great!!!!

Had a great experience at The Harbor House My mom and I had dinner here after the qqq She’s a picky Italian momma, with that said My mom was extremely happy with all our dinner choices! Even down to the bread and condiments that came along with them We got the lobster and clams with fettuccine THERE WAS SO MUCH LOBSTER!!! Great price! Not only that,the staff was wonderful! We are coming back for sure!

Good food, friendly staff. Showed up with parents, and my two kids, 7,8 years old. Let us know the kids menu, but kids asked for steak so they made a smaller steak portion with fries and vegetables kids picked out. Was nice that they were able to be accommodating.

Just back from lunch there, and it was an all around great experience. If you're there for lunch, make sure to ask about the $12 lunch specials, which in our case were both excellent, and even better values. I had the filet mignon over their house salad, and a generous portion of filet on skewers, over a very interesting combinations of greens with a nice balsamic dressing. The fried fish sandwich was also excellent served on a nice ciabatta bun. We look forward to returning!

Every dish is delicious. The filet of lemon sole is second to none, but the most spectacular thing is the chocolate mousse dessert served in a martini glass!

The sauce is not too overpowering and gives the perfect amount of kick. The staff is incredibly friendly as well and always makes you feel welcomed. If you have the choice try to sit in one of the two seats near the front windows. Get to enjoy seeing the beautiful town while enjoying your meal. Favorite resturant in North Port!

Keto friendly salad ! Hefty and fresh salad with a great portion of avocado. Great service and owner was very welcoming ! Lobster ravioli was outstanding as well. Will come back.

This small gem of a restaurant is yet to be discovered by visitors to the village of Northport. Situated a short walk from the Harbor's edge, this restaurant serves beautifully executed food in generous portions. In the photo below I'm holding a menu item described as wild boar pork chop. What I didn't expect was a caveman entree of huge proportions. Lol. I was able to eat some of it but the leftovers fed me 2 more times. The tomato sauce that was on the pasta was better than anything I've had in a long time. Don't miss this place. It's not always open for lunch but it's open for dinner most days and it's worth looking for. I chose to eat indoors on this particular night but there is outdoor seating in an alley adjacent to the restaurant. I took a peek before leaving and it was very well lit with small tables lined up against a brick wall. Great food, don't miss it!Reservations are a must.

It was a rather small portion, but it ended up being the perfect amount. The sauce that came with the tuna was so good and was served on the side. My sister had a couscous salad with beets and dried cranberries with a lemon vinaigrette that she really enjoyed. She even liked the beats, and she hates beats. For her main, she ordered a sausage and broccoli rabe pasta with canelini beans. She didn't really care for the sausage but couldn't really put her finger on why. She just ate around it. We did not partake in the desert because we had a show to catch. I would definitely return. It was a wonderful experience.

About $50 per person, the food was pretty good. My wife and I ordered fish dishes. The fish was cooked perfectly and of fair portions. Sauces were fine. Both dishes also had mashed potatoes that seemed underseasoned. They didn't taste like milk or cream were used in them. Butter was served very cold and hard. Pesto was very salty. Meals arrived, and we had to move the bread service items off to the side, though they took away the bread plates. Near the end of the meal, one of the staff asked my wife if she was done (she still had a half-eaten tuna steak on her plate). She said, "No." The staff quickly took the plate away anyway. We weren't offered the food back to go. Atmosphere is nice dining, but not fine dining.

Food was good, although the cold seafood appetizer was not top notch. Clams were sandy and oysters were fishy. Where they really need improvement is the wait staff. Entire group were young kids who spent more time on their personal phones then attending to our table. Every refill was us waving them down, begging. The food also took an inordinate amount of time. I would not try them again.

My fiancé and I went for an early dinner about a week ago. Overall experience was good, but we were a little disappointed with some aspects of the food. Ordered the shrimp appetizer, fettuccine with clams and lobster, and the seared tuna. The appetizer came with only three shrimp (for $17), which I think is wildly overpriced - although the beurre blanc was one of the tastiest things we had all night. The seared tuna was tasty and was the better of the two entrees, but the snow peas sort of felt like an afterthought and were an underwhelming accompaniment to the dish. The pasta was great, aside from the lobster. I didn’t ask where the lobster is sourced, but it was very dry, not-so-fresh, and in my opinion cheapened the dish. I would’ve paid more money for that dish if it omitted the lobster and had more clams (which were very tasty). Overall, a so-so experience.

Food was just ok was really hoping for the high prices I’d be getting some excellent food was not very impressed. The chocolate mousse desert though was excellent . Food was not good enough that I’d go back .

Cancelled my DoorDash order 20 mins after placing the order and after the restaurant closed. Don’t accept orders on apps if you cant fulfill them.

Third time dining at Harbor House. One-star experience last night, and the two other times three-stars…so that’s two-star overall. Food is good, and vibe is good too, generally…although it can get a bit loud. Last night we sat down at 8:30pm, and didn’t linger, and ended up being the last party in the restaurant. And the staff let us know, not so subtly, it was time to go – e.g. the waitress left our table after her second request to take our plates (we were still eating) by saying, “I’m just going to go to sleep.” And no offer for coffee or dessert. Message received – “here’s your check, see ya.”

Waitress and staff were excellent. However, I go to restaurants for food. I will not be going back to this place. Clam chowder…bland. Seafood risotto…meh. Seafood penne bowl…HORRIBLE. The plate was full of sand. The mussels and clams were either not washed or not set in water to purge out any of the sand. Great waitress though.

Baked oysters were excellent, wedge salad very good. Unfortunately the fettuccine with lobster & clams was mediocre. Lobster was over cooked and the dish was bland compared to what I expected. Rolls were less than stellar for a restaurant of this caliber.

Ordered a basic cocktail and it wasn’t even close to what I ordered and was charged a lot for it. Ordered the Tuna black and blue and it was over cooked. I was really dissatisfied and i don’t think i will be going back

It has so gone down hill!! There is a bartender who is not even eligible to serve.! Food and services is an epic failure! It will be closing soon. Thank god!

Wanted to love this place but unfortunately, I would not return.when we walked in it smelled delicious and the menu reads beautifully. We ordered the fried calamari appetizer that was delicious and the oil was fresh but it was definitely frozen from a bag,and the dipping sauce was so hot in temperature that it was obviously microwaved . The hamburger was pretty good but very very greasy . The risotto,shrimp, scallop, calamari dish was smothered in bland red tomato sauce and looked like a bowl of spaghettio’s but with no flavor and no sight of risotto no matter how hard I tried to find it. It too was microwave HOT that it burned my mouth .The beer was good ! The wait staff was good too. The waitress was kind enough to not charge us for the “spaghettio’s “. I left hungry . It could really be a great place if they had a chef. Maybe we ordered the wrong things? Maybe the chef was on vacation?

Not sure what happened here. Used to be one of our go to places in Northport. Went yesterday, Sunday early evening. What a disappointment - - warm beer - Daughter had a house salad (14.00). Took 25 minutes, wilted greens, barely anything on the plate and drowned in salad dressing - ordered a salmon and a burger (MR), Burger came out first after 40 minutes, I split it so my wife could eat and 8 minutes later after everyone was done salmon came out - we refused it - Burger (20.00) came out - no lettuce, no tomato, no onion and no pickles, just a burger - sitting at the bar, no one paying attention to how long it took - always frustrated that the amount of times we have eaten there, never recognized when we come back, not the same experience at other places Crossing this one off the list.

I took my son to dinner here this evening, and the both of us wanted filet mignon tidbits. They were not filet mignon tidbits. They were glorified sirloin, steak, smothered in some kind of Italian dressing. I was never so disappointed in all of my days. I will never go back there again. That was my first and last time. Filet mignon is filet mignon and sirloin is sirloin. They called it filet mignon it was not filet mignon. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Have been here several times with my family, and the food has always been absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the last time we visited we ordered the rice balls as an appetizer, and the three members of my family who shared the rice balls all got food poisoning shortly after. Disappointed, as the food is great, but we will not be returning.
