The sushi is some of the best we ever tried! Some very unique spins. The price was extremely fair. Check out our video review @TripoutwithSadieandRandThom
I thought I lost a sentimental piece of jewelry in the restaurant. I went back after hours. I am thankful to Hannah, the manager, for taking time to go over surveillance video with me to help resolve the situation. Apart from that, the food was delicious.
No exaggeration…best sushi I’ve ever eaten. The flavor combinations on the sashimi platters and premium platters were next level. The fish was 100% fresh and the garnishes were fresh and made to order.
Sushi is super good top 5 on my Sushi places to eat. The name throws you off but a must try.
My new sushi spot!! The quality/freshness of the fish is amazing, the truffle fries are delicious and my husband kept raving about the burger. Normally sushi and burgers don’t go together but here they made it a perfect match! Definitely recommend
Look, you're not coming here for the atmosphere or service. The service is fine, but nothing over the top. The sushi is incredible. This isn't some decent mall sushi, this is legit, high end cuisine. It is as good as any sushi restaurant I've had in LA. The burger part if the menu is just a great fun twist. Can't recommend enough.
Great fusion and traditional sushi! They cut the right direction and thickness is correct. Rice is freash, correct temperature and very tasty! Service is great!
This is a true valley dining experience, fine sushi served along with burgers and fries. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the chef combo platters. You will receive plates of finely crafted sushi making you feel like you’re in a fine sushi restaurant. The staff is diligent and on task. You’ll never find yourself looking for help.
Always great food, whether it's sandwiches or sushi.
They took care of me like if i was family. Highly recommending this spot for burgers and sushi lovers 👍
One of the places I miss most in the valley. The burgers and sushi are both delicious!
Kings is hands down my favorite sushi restaurant. The quality of the food and friendly service easily earn a 5 star review, and though it can be a bit pricey it is absolutely worth it!
If you want Nobu quality sushi at a fraction of the price, head to Got Sushi. The presentation is artistic, the freshness is superb, the eclectic ingredients is wow! I’ve been spoiled and Got Sushi is my go to establishment for sushi. I recommend calling to secure a reservation. I will warn you that the women’s restroom has an offensive smell that has gotten worse. I hope they figure it out at some point. It’s off-putting.
How did I not know of this place. Burgers or sushi you cannot go wrong with either. The burgers are amazing and then King Special is 🔥. I loved the 🍣 and the flavor of it. I'll be back ...the wait time can be daunting I hear but we got a seat in 5 minutes
Great variety, not the best value. Still, it's especially impressive how good different menu items were, given the broad reach of the menu. No misses so far with burgers fries, chefs choice tasting, a very nice bscr roll and some sashimi salad
Amazing place to go to if you’re with someone or a group that enjoy sushi or don’t. There’s something for everyone without going to a place that offers strictly one type of food! I recommend their Kings Pastrami Burger, try something new!
The Chicken Teriyaki bowl is my absolute favorite ( The crunchy one is delicious as well. If you dine in you'll get a free sushi roll). The burgers are also very delicious and the meat is cooked the way you want it, it can be fully cooked or medium rare if you prefer it that way. It gets busier as the day goes so be aware that if you go towards the afternoon it can be a little of a wait but we'll worth it.
where else can you get a great burger as well as sushi and fries and a milkshake. The sushi is fresh. It's delicate so you can actually taste underlying flavors versus the current trend of dumping tons of sauce to cover the taste of not-so-fresh fish. Never had bad sushi at King's. Love the fries. Love the tempura. Shakes aren't bad either. Really unique eatery in Northridge.
You would expect a restaurant that serves classic American diner food and sushi to have one or the other be mediocre, but this place has some of the best Japanese food around plus crave worthy fries, burgers, and chicken tenders. Ylu might have to wait for your table, but once seated services is pretty quick. We love their high quality sushi and their bowls and combinations are delicious. Also some of the best miso soups around.
Best place for sushi and a burger! Those picky eaters and boogie eater have a spot to eat. So yummy! It's out "go-to" spot!
Really solid quality sushi and for a reasonable price. It’s unassuming from the outside because it’s also a burger joint, however the sushi rivals some of the best mid to mid/high tier sushi. We ordered the chefs choice by jun(shun?), scallops, butter fish, and the yellowtail yuzu roll. Would definitely come back again!
King's Burger Got Sushi is a true gem! The fusion of burgers and sushi here is a stroke of genius. The modern ambiance sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. Burgers are a symphony of flavors, with juicy patties and gourmet toppings. The sushi is fresh, creative, and visually stunning. What sets this place apart is the seamless integration of both cuisines. The "Umami Explosion" burger and different special rolls showcase the chef's mastery. The staff's attentive service and warm demeanor enhance the overall experience. In summary, King's Burger Got Sushi is a five-star delight for food enthusiasts seeking a perfect fusion of flavors. It's a must-visit, offering a culinary experience that goes above and beyond expectations.
I absolutely love this place. Everytime im here I order sushi and a side of fries. Since im not here often, I ordered a Jr Cheeseburger too. I have tried the Albacore Lovers roll - crab+spicy tuna, cucumber, crunchy onion, ponzu, creamy sesame, spicy oil. DELICIOUS! Ive also had the Crunch Eel Blue crab roll- tempura eel, cucumber, avocado, baked blue crab, caper, sweet soy and creamy sesame.
Excellent food, have been there many times, and will keep coming back. Get the ahi poke bowl and the California roll. Highly recommend.
When we got there, it was really really busy. There were people waiting outside and quite a long list inside. But it moved really quickly, we waited about 15 minutes altogether, and then we sat at the bar rather than a table. There are quite a few tables inside as well. The food was absolutely delicious. It’s an open kitchen and I think we counted 10 chefs on the sushi side. I love watching them, and I love the idea of an open kitchen. We ordered five different kinds of rolls, and each one was really really good. The burgers also looked so delicious but I was stuffed after the sushi! We looked at the menu and saw they also did bowls, all kinds of things, And I would definitely go back to try something else. A great little find, and the chefs behind the counter were super friendly.
It lives up to the "Worth It" hype! My partner and I went and got both sushi and burgers + fries. All of it was so good, neither one outdid the other in terms of quality, freshness, taste, and bang for your buck. The truffle parmesan fries were a real standout. We will definitely be back.
One of the best sushi experiences I've ever had quality and price wise. Burgers/sandwiches were also good. The split offering means some mixed messaging and atmosphere but it did the job.
Sushi was amazing and our waitress checked on us often, which was great because I went there with a buddy from work and we ate a lot of sushi😂
Came here due to worth it and the word holds true. I got the kings burger and and some sashimi. The burger was just the right balance of taste and the sushi is extremely fresh. It seems like a weird combo but somehow it works. The service is also awesome. If you live around the area or just in town, definately a place to visit.
Great place for food. All types of burgers and seafood offered there, of course. 👍
Let me tell you about their sushi. It's probably the BEST in the valley! We used to have to go to O2 in Simi Valley to get awesome sushi, but this place is THE BOMB! Their kanpachi is absolutely off the hook; the 3-way sushi is the best. Everything we had was amazing and we couldn't believe we could get such delicious sushi so close by!! Definitely making this our go to sushi spot from now on!
Awesome neighborhood spot. Delicious burgers and sushi. My family and I are big on take out from here.
Food was delicious! What a great idea to have both burgers and sushi in the same place. Top quality sushi!
What a combo. You gotta get sushi and a burger it’s all fantastic. Menu items and flavors show you that they really care about their menu and your experience
You would not think much of this place from the outside. But the sushi is outstanding! We tried a big variety since it was our first time there. Family atmosphere, great service, great food. The family restaurant has a wonderful history.
absolutely amazing food you guys just earned a permanent customer and I will be back!! from the moment I walked in, I was greeted and treated with amazing customer service from the lady at the front and by the rest of the staff including the chefs. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with Parmesan truffle fries, and a spicy tuna crispy rice and a shrimp tempura roll. this burger was honestly amazing and the sushi was beyond my expectations . I cannot wait to come back again thank you guys again for the amazing service!!🫶🏽
Such a unique establishment. Where you can have a hankering for a good burger and good sushi satisfied! The wife wanted burger and fries. I wanted sushi. We had the uni 3 ways for starters. So fresh and good! For the main course, I had their version of Chirashi. I forgot what they called it on the menu but it was called something else. Our server said that's what I was looking for. Their Chirashi bowl came with a side of a stack of nori wrapper. The server said that I could use the nori to wrap the sashimi. Interesting. It did work out well though. Easy free parking lot or street parking available.
Here’s a polished review you can use: ⸻ Got Sushi – A Hidden Gem Worth Discovering Tucked away in an unassuming location, Got Sushi is an absolute treasure. It might be easy to miss from the outside, but once you step in, you’re greeted with fresh flavors, warm service, and some of the best sushi you’ll ever taste. Every bite is incredibly fresh and flavorful – you can truly tell the quality of the ingredients and the care put into every roll. Whether you’re a sushi lover or just discovering it, this place will impress you. From classic favorites to creative specials, everything on the menu is worth trying. It’s one of those hidden spots you want to keep secret but can’t help sharing with everyone you know. Delicious, consistent, and surprisingly affordable for the quality – Got Sushi is hands down one of the best sushi experiences I’ve ever had. A must-visit for anyone who loves sushi or just good food.
Ummmmmm!! So when my friend suggested we go to a place that serves burgers AND sushi I was like okay LA is really weird because how CAN that be good? Turns out it's absolutely bomb!!! We had a fantastic low brow + high brow meal. I got omakase and a hot dog and both items were fresh and perfectly prepared and delicious. Def don't sleep on this place. It's a weird concept but it works.
Basically, there are two restaurants in one. Great fresh tasting sushi and burgers. This visit was sit down sushi. Says they open at 11am, but that is for burgers. Table servers and sushi bar don't start till 11:30. I had the crunch eel blue crab roll. Tasty, but a lot of things are going on in that roll. Tried the Korean spicy pork bowl. Awesome flavor, and it is spicy, nice. Also comes with four pieces of cut roll sushi for a buck. Choice of California roll or spicy tuna. We started out with truffle parmesan fries for an appetizer since sushi was made to order. Pretty good. The next visit will be burgers. Probably try the King's special cheese burger with pastrami. Took me a while to check it out. Have heard many times that it was good. It's definitely worth a visit.
Really great place that is actually much more spacious than it looks when driving by. Really well laid out interior with plenty of outdoor seating and bar seating as well. Decided to try the two things they have right in the name, a burger and some sushi. The burger was really well cooked and all the toppings were fresh and well balanced. Fries were really quite good, if you are looking for a place to grab just fries, these are good enough for just that! Sushi was really yummy and their rice is really well cooked with just enough stickiness and give. Will definitely come back and try out more of the nigiri and the bowls which looked quite appetizing. Overall a really nice place to grab a quick bite or for a casual dinner. Staff was incredibly friendly and they have Orion! Price is pretty standard for LA sushi prices but definitely worth it for the quality and service. Update 11/30/22 I have now become a regular here and would say that if you are looking for food in the Northridge area you cannot go wrong by choosing King's. I have been making my way through the menu and have not found a single thing that I have not absolutely enjoyed. You can tell that they really care about the food they make and their customers. If you are on the fence take the leap because this place is worth it!
My friends and I stopped by Kings Burger today and we had a great experience. It looks like the upgraded the inside because the booths are gone and they also have outside seating now. The last time I got food from here during the covid lockdown, I didn't have a good experience since they forgot something on my food. But now it looks like they changed a lot. The service was great and the food was amazing. I got the Spicy Teriyaki Chicken Bowl and it was just like I remembered it. They weren't busy when I got there but within 30 minutes, they started to get pack. They don't check covid vaccination status here anymore but wearing mask is highly encouraged.
My friends have been telling me about this place for awhile now. So we decided to try it yesterday. I wasn't expecting much but I was pleased with the food that I tried from here. We ordered the King's Roll, Blue Crab Roll topped with Salmon and Tuna, Lemon Roll, Vegetable Tempura, Seaweed Salad & Parmesan Truffle Fries. The place decent and food tastes delicious. Next time I would like to try their burgers. They have a lot of selections to choose from...burgers, sandwiches, breakfast items, sushi, rolls, poke and bowls they have it.
We get sushi to-go from here all of the time, and usually it's quite good! The menu is huge and seafood is high quality. However I need to mention that my daughter's staple avocado rolls are often not up to par and not good last night. Either avos are brown/stringy or they are cut in large chunks (like last night) - again, not always but often. Also need to shout out to chef/owner Jun, whose sometimes surly and lukewarm at best personality was on full display when I picked up my order. Jun, it looks bad and makes you and your restaurant look bad when you argue with your staff in front of the customers! I even mentioned it was "a bad look" directly to Jun and he chuckled and kept on arguing in English and Korean. Finally, just need to say that the time and accuracy of orders has improved over the past year or so, and I attribute this to the very helpful and obviously well trained cashiers and their communication with the sushi chefs. Thank you!
Thought this was some novelty place since it had both sushi, Asian bowls and burgers but I have to say the burger was solid. I got the Hawaiian and added avocado to go along with the pineapple slice and teriyaki sauce. It was super delicious along with some fries and an orange soda. Really brought me back to my younger years when I didn't worry about my diabetes or cholesterol but it was worth it.
Wanted to love the place. Usually go to the habit for a quick bite after classes. Today, got a regular cheeseburger here instead to see how it was. It was very tasty, like a burger you could make yourself on a backyard grill. I could tell everything was freshly made. I just didn't like the atmosphere and how the restaurant is run. Not exactly a 50/50 hybrid but two separate restaurants. Definitely a sushi place first and a burger spot second with a 70/30 split. No condiments like ketchup on the tables or anywhere else and I had to awkwardly ask where to sit even though it was my first time because the counters are for sushi only. Not that the burger needed any condiments but still. It's just kind of a weird vibe considering the dominant burger branding from the outside. Might come back if I want something higher quality than fast food and cheaper than the Arbor Grill, but the unwelcoming atmosphere makes me think twice. At least at CSUN I'm outside with the sunshine and can get some homework done simultaneously. Maybe I'll return for the sushi if I have nothing else going on one day.
Great tasting burger! 7oz patty on thin brioche buns, lettuce, tomato, onions and 1000 island 👍🏼. Fries were thin with nice crunch. Cost $15. Parking lot in back took about 15 min to get food. Update: Came back again to try the “Kings Special Burger”. Which is a Pastrami Cheeseburger. Thought the burger would be huge and stuffed with pastrami. Instead it was just the right amount and pastrami added some subtle saltiness and crunch. Liked it better than the bacon cheeseburger. Cost about $14.
- spider roll is REALLY large and hard to eat in one bite - the sushi (from what I ordered) in general just meh - the tuna cut roll... Was really confusing not in the good way - overall honestly not bad but it's kinda expensive for what it is especially since there's another sushi place for the same price but better execution a block or two away -- if I go back again will try to burgers instead because I heard that's the more popular option
I've gone here before back in college years ago. Coming back was refreshing. The food was delicious having burgers and sushi is so delicious. The place is pretty cute. We sat in their like indoor patio and it doesn't even feel like you're in Northridge. The service was kind of slow that's really the only bad thing but other than that I would definitely come back !
I guess by now everyone knows not to let the name of this restaurant fool themselves. It has legit sushi offerings that hold themselves on there own. Let me start by suggesting the 3 way Albacore, Kanpachi and Uni, 3 servings of fish with each a little different Topping. Very defly prepared, Haf the crispy rice and Spicy tuna and some standard fare Phily Roll and Crunch roll. Service was brisk and attentive. The prices are reasonable in comparison. It has a dive atmosphere but nothing depressing. Parking on the side and the adjascent side streets.
I've been here 3x. Twice for take out and once for done in. Each time the wait has improved, but there really isn't enough space to wait safely apart from others unless you give your number and wait in your car. Best things on the menu are the poke bowls. Burgers are okay, admittedly I had mine to go. Sushi is tasty but wasn't been rolled well when we dined in so it fell apart. Staff is great, I told them about a food allergy and they accommodated my needs very well. I will keep trying King's out and try the different things on the menu. I'm not ready to give up!
Hamburgers were really good, French fries can live without (presentation not great thrown directly on paper on metal tray). Nothing special. Sushi was OK, might give that another try eventually.
Awesome spot to grab a bowl, sushi or burger w/fries. Tried several items and never been disappointed. They lots areas to dine inside or out so you can usually find a spot to sit. Update: I came here again recently and was really disappointed. Waited over an hour for a take out order. Order was super simple too since it was just a bowl and 4pc sushi. IDK what happened to this place but unless you want to wait over an hour I don't recommend it
Absolutely delicious sushi here. The Hawaiian steak bowl is my ultimate favorite, and can cure a hangover instantly. However, the waiter with the chin mole was weird, and harassed my friend while we were eating. It also gets loud inside.
It a weird place. I walked in wanting a burger and I ordered my food which was a bit pricey I thought for what I got. The food was pretty good a in d the woman behind the counter was very nice. But if you only order a burger and you don't get it to go then you sit at one of their tables. It's kind of awkward with everyone else getting served sushi and sitting there with your burger and fries. But once you get past that I guess it's good.
Wanted burgers and sushi. I order my burger and get told that I need to sit to order sushi. I do that, never got helped. Burger was real good, however I didn’t feel welcomed at all. Might be because I don’t like the usual clientele? Who knows. Don’t see myself coming back to find out.
Burgers taste great, and sushi is good. They have a wide range of options that are unique and the quality of fish is high. There are options for everyone in your party to find something they are sure to enjoy. Only issue is that the wait staff is not that good. Couldn't get my water refilled the whole meal, eventually had to go fill myself. They kept messing up my burger, ordered it with no cheese and after 3 tries they finally managed to read the ticket. It seems they hire mostly college students which is fine, but they need to train the staff properly.
Avoid visiting on Friday or Sunday nights if you can. The restaurant struggles when it’s extremely busy—orders are more likely to be incorrect, seating and food wait times are long, and the overall experience suffers. On less crowded days, though, it’s a much better experience and the food is worth it. During my most recent visit, I signed up on the iPad waitlist and was listed as #1. However, a couple marked as #2 was seated before us. I’m hoping there was a mix-up and they actually arrived earlier, because I really do enjoy eating here. Unfortunately, this left a bit of a bad impression.
Good burger, strange establishment I heard good things about King’s around the area, so I came in to give it a try The burger was actually very good. It was quite juicy and the ingredients were extremely fresh. The bun was soft and toasty. The chicken sandwich was good too, and came with mayo and tomato. However, the dining area was odd. As someone who had ordered a burger, I wasn’t entirely sure we could even use it, since everyone there only had sushi. It felt kinda unwelcoming tbh, like we weren’t supposed to be there. Overall, it was a bit of a weird experience. I’d come back but def for pickup 😼
So, you got this big menu right? You think like “yeah burgers and sushi, what could go wrong” well sit down my friend, cause I’ll tell ya why it ain’t the bees knees. I can’t possibly imagine the difficulty in maintaining health code standards with such a small restaurant and enormous menu. In other words, it’s probably not very sanitary. Service would be performed better by toddlers who are just learning to speak. The atmosphere is similar to going to a concert you really don’t like. The fish sandwich was well, let me ask ya. Have you ever had a fish stick sandwich? Cause that’s what you’ll get. Oh and they burnt my eel. No that’s a not an innuendo. Thanks for coming to my review. Follow for more.
I do not recommend. We got the crunch teriyaki chicken bowl and the kings burger. For the burger, everything was good other than the fact the patty tasted like it was from a freezer. Fries were mediocre at best, bland and we had to add a lot of seasoning. The spicy tuna roll we got along with the bowl was good. The teriyaki chicken bowl was extremely bland. The chicken itself had absolutely no flavor or seasoning. The only taste I got from it was teriyaki. If you add pineapple it is literally just pineapple rings from a can at the grocery store. Nothing special about this place unfortunately
Man I was so stoked to go to my favorite burger place. I was ordering and while paying the nice cashier. The cook is facing me blows his nose and handles his gloves and goes back to cooking. I told the young lady what just had happened and she said. That shouldn’t have happened and she told the cook to wash his hands. I sat waiting for a few seconds and just asked to cancel my order. I just couldn’t get my food from that place if that’s what going on there. This really bummed me out cause I love this place.
We ordered a poke bowl and burger at the same time, the burger came out in under 5 minutes and the bowl never came out ! we then asked for the tab and the bowl was on the tab and we told the waiter that we were charged for the bowl that never arrived. We told them to cancel the order but in under 3 min they came out with the bowl we ordered after we informed them to cancel. Not sure how we feel after.
I will never ever go to this place again. After I ate my meal, I went to the restroom to wash my hands, and there was one of the cooks with his black nitrile food prep gloves on at the urinal. As I was washing my hands, he finished and walked out out of the restroom without washing his hands or even removing his gloves and went straight back to work in the food prep area. I almost threw up in my mouth. When I told the manager, it seems like she really didn't care. So again, I will never go back to this place. That is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen at any restaurant.
Service was horrible. Had me and the kiddos waiting over 30mins, nobody came by. Meanwhile, 2 guys got seated at the table on the other side of the glass 15 mins after us, and they had their order taken immediately. Never going back.
This used to be our go to spot when I was at CSUN, food is still great but the wait time is ridiculous and the service is just a bad. Today we waited 40min just to get sat and another 25 minutes to order. After we ordered WE had to go and remind them about the food which they forgot about. And we didn’t get as much as a sorry. The food was already cold to the touch the zucchini fries were the only hot thing on the table. Good food but deplorable service.
I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for months and have never had an issue—until now. Unfortunately, I had a very serious and distressing experience that I feel obligated to share. I informed the staff of my mushroom allergy, which is life-threatening and requires me to carry an EpiPen at all times. Despite clearly stating this, mushrooms were still put in my food. I took a bite before noticing, and immediately began experiencing a reaction. Thankfully, I recognized the symptoms early and was able to take medication in time to avoid the worst. But I did have a reaction and have been dealing with the aftermath since. What made this situation even worse was the complete lack of accountability or empathy from the management. When I called to inform them, the manager showed no compassion, no apology, and no real concern for my health. Her only response was, “We’ll be more careful next time.” No offer of a refund. No request for my information. No follow-up. That kind of response to a potentially fatal mistake is completely unacceptable. This wasn’t just a small oversight—it was a dangerous failure to take a serious allergy seriously. Allergies are not a preference. They can be deadly, and this experience has left me shaken and extremely disappointed in a place I used to trust. I sincerely hope this restaurant takes immediate steps to improve its allergy protocols and staff training. A simple apology and the right response could have gone a long way. Until then, I will not be returning—and I urge anyone with food allergies to be extremely cautious
This is our usual go to place but service has been lacking lately and today tops it of we decided for burgers of course for the holiday we walk in and there are people eating there and they tell us “sorry we are closed for the holiday” understandable if there were a sign or any sort of forewarning but no. What pissed me off is that there were people still ordering and eating at the bar. Sorry Kings but you have lost yet another customer.
HORRIBLE! My 1st time. I came in and asked the customers there, how was the food? They gave good compliments, so I ordered the breakfast burrito with all bacon because I saw them making one. I got home and took a bite...MOSTLY POTATOES! Small bits of bacon, and the eggs are scorched! $9.00 for this, just pissed me off! The other burritos I saw them make had large STRIPS of bacon! Why did mine have BITS that literally add up to about 1 slice of bacon!
Im writing this review here in front of the cashier lady. I waited 1 hour and asked why my order is taking too long. They suddenly says they will begin now... this is the 2nd time this happened. I used to come to this place since 2016. I will no longer be going here.
