Consistent. The food is tasty. When I am in a carb mood, linguini and clams with their signature side bread with a nice slab of butter hits the spot. The large pizzas are attractive and oozing with cheese and flavor. A great restaurant that has raised the bar in Novato.
I went here for lunch the other day it was delicious! I ordered the meatball and sausage sandwich for lunch with a side of fries. The first time, my sandwich came out cold in the middle. I informed the waitress and she promptly took the food back and apologized. A few minutes later, my food came out, hot this time, and it was excellent. The bread was nice and crunchy, the meatball, sausage, and marinara all went so well together. Plus, the melted cheese!! I will be going back and ordering it again. The French fries were super crunchy and hot, 10 out of 10 French fry. The service was excellent despite my sandwich being cold the first time and they even gave me a discount on the price. That is what I call excellent customer service. I will definitely be going back and trying the other items on the menu, this is a place you gotta try.
Stopped in for lunch. I had the best pizza. Delicious crust! The pepperoni was so yummy it was crispy like bacon. Every bite was scrumptious! I had to control myself to save the last piece. I want to have it for breakfast. I splurged and had dessert and coffee. Excellent! The bread pudding was satisfying! Done just right! I want to go back to The Village on Grant Ave again and have their pasta and yes more pizza! But also the Tiramisu. At some point I hope to return and try having Sunday Brunch. Service is excellent! Friendly place, plenty of street parking.
Great atmosphere. We had children with us & ordered the pizza. Delicious, hand tossed & fresh. Quicker than we expected. The small house salad was big enough to share. Highly recommend.
Great flavorful dishes. The crust on their pizza is amazing and I usually don't eat the last part of crust. I devoured my entire Stromboli personal pizza crust and all. The house salad was enough to split for 2. My sister had the pasta of the day and it was a wonderful pasta with creamy pesto sauce and a side of delicious bread. We had a wonderful time. The ambience was very welcoming.
First time to the restaurant. The meatball in marinara was so good and the servings were.plenty.I had enough to take dinner home .The margaritas were tasty The staff was friendly and had great customer service I will definitely be back!
Outstanding service and food! Our sever Tony was so friendly and welcoming! I had the seafood pasta and it was the best I ever had! I also appreciated the kids menu, my son loved his pesto pasta! Love this place!

My pal'et Chapstick Betty just got out of the hospital with a cast on her foot because she didn't pay attention in paratrooper school and landed incorrectly. She calls me and asks if I can bring her a salad from The Village Italian Restaurant. Sure, I tell her...I'll leave Napa right now, go to Navato to pick up a salad from The Village Italian Restaurant, and bring it all the way out to you in West Marin. The salad sure looked great, and Chapstick was her typical self...she gave me 6 dollars for my time. 6 whole dollars! The salad was ☆☆☆☆☆ delicious.
I had the pasta breakfast with spinach, cherry tomatoes, sausage , bacon and a fried egg on top . It was delightful. The puffy pasta bread they serve with the pasta came with melting butter on the inside with fresh herbs sprinkled on top of a freshly made pasta bread . I also ordered a latte with honey which was one of thee best lattes I’ve ever had . My server was friendly, knowledgeable, and a great barista. I will be back to this old school charmer .
We got some pesto chips and garlic bread for an easy dinner for two. Good texture, lots of tasty cheese, proper pizza place ranch, and a decent value for $30 with the seamless pickup experience included. Side note: it was to go but the inside of this restaurant is gorgeous. Huge cathedral ceiling with big, stout wooden beams, simple decor, dark lighting, and the buzz of chatter and low volume old crooner tunes. The vibe was immaculate and so cozy and warm. I can't wait to go eat in person next time we're in town.
Was a guest at a rehearsal dinner here. The food was fantastic and drinks were great. My only complaint was that there were about 30 people in our rehearsal party and we only had one waitress who was also serving other tables on the other side of the restaurant. Several people never received any additional service aside from their initial drink orders. IMO the server should’ve been dedicated to our group or have an additional server. Can’t stress this enough though. The venue is beautiful and the food was fantastic. I’d definitely come back.

I visited this Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown, and the location was both convenient and welcoming. My group of four arrived without a reservation, but we were seated quickly and without any wait. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. I ordered the Creamy Pesto Alfredo, garlic breadsticks, and a Juicy Breeze cocktail. While the cranberry flavor in the Juicy Breeze was a bit too strong for my liking, I absolutely loved the made-to-order Creamy Pesto Alfredo and the soft, fluffy garlic breadsticks. For dessert, I tried the tiramisu, which had a robust coffee flavor that didn't quite suit my taste, but it may appeal to others. Overall, a pleasant experience with great service and tasty dishes!
I took the family to lunch here on a Sunday and it was nice but the staff was clearly overwhelmed. There were 2 waitstaff employees on duty that day and things took a while. There was a big miscommunication on our drink order but the waiter was cool about it and took care of it for us. The food is/was really good but a little quirky. I ordered a panini but received a large salad on bread. From what I understand this is how their family or province does it. It was different but still tasty. Now that I know a little more about this place I'll ask more questions when I go back. I'll definitely go back.
Lovely local restaurant serving the classic Italian dishes. Large selection of pasta and pizza as well as meats and seafood. I was craving fettuccine Alfredo and the huge portion was delicious and creamy. Family friendly place for an upscale dinner. Seems to have a strong local following which makes it feel comfortable even when dining alone. Nice to have in the neighborhood.
Having lunch in this restaurant that used to be a church was a great idea for Good Friday. My lunch was standard good, service was terrific and the ambience was beautiful. I just think the prices are a little bit above the overall quality of this place.
Used to go to the spot when it was cacti many years ago. Went on a Saturday night and it was lively but not crowded. My wife had the chicken piccata and I had the seafood pasta. Both meals came with a small loaf of bread which they bake on site, and which was delicious. Overall this place delivers large portions, good food, good service. Decent selection of beers on tap and a good selection of wines, too. There's a full bar, too. A comfortable spot for a solid meal.

This place was cute. I met up with a friend who lived in the area and had never been. Nothing about this place really stood out though. The staff was friendly and the food was good. It is family friendly but I can't see this place being good for large groups. Overall it was a "safe" option. I probably wouldn't come back by choice but I wouldn't be opposed if someone else wanted to go. It wasn't bad but it wasn't the best Italian I've had. Portion sizes were reasonable. Their homemade bread was really good too.

There is a very odd smell which acosts the senses when entering this restaurant through the front door. It smelled like my grandmother's garage when one of her deep freezers stopped working. So, I decided to stay away from anything with meat just in case. The soup and salad lunch was okay. Very overpriced for what you get. Maybe it would have tasted better if that awful smell wasn't lingering. I mistakenly thought the garlic bread was the one that everyone raves about in the reviews. It wasn't. I had to pay an extra $4 for that roll. It was excellent and almost made the awful smell worth it but it was very over priced for what you get.
We ordered a pizza. It was okay, nothing special. The shrimp appetizer was adequate. Maybe other dishes are more inspired. Nice atmosphere though and friendly staff.

Subpar dish, salmon was great. Advertised as “seasonal vegetables” broccoli, mushrooms, chopped garlic. Not very flavorful, not exciting. 22$. Honestly very strange. The pesto noodles are from my friend’s dish and they were bland as all hell. He was also given “seasonal vegetables “ don’t think I will eat the main dishes here again. I may give their pizza a try. The “pasta bread” which I presume to be pizza dough was very tasty.
This restaurant left me confused, as I felt that it should have been in an airport. $15 for the cheapest 8” personal pizza? $8.95 for a house salad? The crust was amazing - but there were too many toppings (I can still taste the garlic as I type this from home), too much cheese (on both pizza and salad), and overall, the quality was…airport.
