Great little neighborhood Mexican food. My family has been enjoying this families food since its inception many many years ago. Consistently good food.

Wonderful burrito place, our favorite here is the carnitas super burrito which always has a great balance of flavors. Their red and green sauces that they bundle on the side are delicious as well - red can be a bit on the spicy side, green is much more mellow. Highly recommended! Pro-tip: If you are planning on ordering take out, phone ahead. It only takes about 10 minutes for them to make up your order so you can save time waiting around.

I go here often as it is near my work. Very good taqueria, love the food. Super laid back/casual spot. Nothing fancy. I like the al pastor and their red salsa is very unique and delicious. Very affordable, honestly they should probably raise their prices because I think the area would support higher prices and the quality of food would also warrant it.

My go-to Mexican food in the area. The pollo asado macho burrito is delicious and an amazing value. The chips are great and the hot sauces are probably my favorite in the entire Bay Area.

Great place to get tacos when time is of concern. These guys get delicious tacos done fast, and there is a wide variety of options to choose from. Could improve indoor dining though.

Their burritos are very flavourful and a family favourite. The dine-in atmosphere is 2-star but it could be improved relatively easily.

The food was pretty bland overall but it's as good as or better than most Mexican restaurants in Marin. That's not really a compliment, I just literally can't find good Mexican cuisine in Marin.

Food is yummy, service is consistantly terrible. When they ran my credit card and there was no option for tips, I almost didn't leave one...and that is coming from a former server...

Tried Sonora Taqueria in San Rafael and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype given the high reviews. I had the burrito, which was overly salty and lacked real flavor. The service was underwhelming—slow and not very attentive. My friend felt very unwell afterwards. Overall, not a place I’d return to.

EAT THERE. Do not go home to just find out your order is incorrect. Food is awesome but the oldest son doesn’t seem to listen when I order… often. It’s 8/10 times incorrect. Very disappointing when you’re looking forward to something specific. Other employees are professional and attentive.

First time ordering from this establishment and after found out that half the order was incorrect. We called to advise he said half our order was incorrect and the employee on the phone blamed us for not checking and did nothing to try to resolve the problem & wanted us to pay again for the correct food. Guess this place is doing so well it can lose business over a $20 error and blame the customer. Lastly when we placed the order we asked if they wanted a name and they said no need to. Great way to end the week. NEVER GOING TO SONORA TAQUERIA AGAIN!!

I had to ask for the complimentary chips and salsa after my food arrived. I like to munch while I wait for my meal. I was never asked if I wanted anything to drink. I was going to have a couple of beers. I didn't order beer. Nothing. Restaurants make most of their profits on beverages. Duh! I'll be trying other restaurants in the area from now on. Small portions, mediocre food and lousy service.
