Came for my birthday dinner with my partner. This is a very romantic, and beautiful dining room. Had a cozy seat by the fire, it feels like you are dining in a castle. The staff is absolutely amazing from the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave. The tasting menu with wine pairing was absolutely perfect. Each bite more delicious than the last, perfectly paired with the wines. We closed out the evening with a cocktail in the Cellar Bar. The cocktails are works of art, and exceptionally crafted. Definitely left feeling satiated and cared for. It was such a special experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a special night out. Abby & Andrea were so pleasant and knowledgeable, their hospitality made everything shine even brighter. Thank you to everyone at Edna’s for a wonderful birthday celebration!

We recently dined at a high end restaurant that delivered an overall enjoyable experience, though it came with a hefty price tag. The ambiance and service were top notch. The staff was incredibly attentive and made sure everything felt smooth from start to finish. We decided to try a signature drink with each course, which added a fun twist to the evening. We had an Old Fashioned, a hibiscus margarita, a kiwi inspired cocktail, and an espresso with dessert. The drinks were good and well made, but none of them were truly memorable on their own. The standout of the night was the ahi tuna crudo course. It was absolutely delicious, especially paired with the melon. The balance of flavors was spot on and it was easily the most memorable dish. Dessert was also very good and left us with a sweet final impression. While the food was solid and some moments were excellent, the total—around five hundred dollars for two people—felt a bit much for a dinner that left us still wanting a bit more in terms of portion or wow factor. If you are in the mood to explore and splurge, this spot is worth a visit. If you do not have the money to spare, you are definitely missing out, but maybe not on something life changing.

An absolutely outstanding fine dining experience near Yosemite! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and professional without ever feeling rushed. Every detail from the beautifully plated dishes to the thoughtfully curated wine list was exceptional. The flavors were balanced, creative, and clearly made with the highest quality ingredients. What stood out most was how seamless the entire evening felt. The staff anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, and each course arrived perfectly timed. It’s rare to find this level of service and culinary excellence in such a stunning setting. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just want a memorable meal after a day in Yosemite, this restaurant is a must. Truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time

Great family dinning experience at the Chateau du Sureau. Accommodated the menu for vegetarians and provided amazing service in the cellar. Great atmosphere and pleasant time while visiting Yosemite!

This is probably one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had— I would say, once in a lifetime (though I really hope not!). We splurged for a special occasion and I’ll never regret it. Every detail was special. The menu even had our names printed on it when we arrived. Really cute and classy, and the wine selection was tops.

This was probably our top dining experience ever! The room transports you to a romantic, charming European setting. We sat next to a beautiful fireplace, and the mantle was adorned with holiday boughs and candles. Wow! We splurged on the caviar and perfectly prepared warm bellinis. So worth it. The chefs muse bouche was creative, delicious and astonishing, plated on a ponderosa pine bark, that had been coated with resin. What a delightful reminder, that we are surrounded by magnificent trees. Each course had a wine pairing, and everything was described in extraordinary detail, which added to the deliciousness of each bite. I can’t tell you my favorite dish, because they were all amazing. Be sure to share with your dining partners. I also have to admit, we went to the happy hour in the bar the night before. The bar menu is completely different and we were also delighted with the delicious sea bass croquets and olive oil poached halibut. I also have to mention that the bartender was a true cocktail artisan and it was so fun to see him make our smoked bourbon drinks and the Grinch macha infused vodka. We live in San Diego and would easily drive the 7 hours just to experience this lovely restaurant again! Thank you chef and staff!

What a truly magical experience! The service and ambience is outstanding. Most importantly, the food was excellent! Usually, at most fine dining restaurants, we enjoy some items and others would be alright - hit and miss. We enjoyed every single starter, entrée and dessert. Beautiful experience and we will be back. Thank you!

Let me start by saying that this is the most beautiful restaurant I've ever seen. When I made reservations, I told them about food allergies that 2 of my party members have. They adjusted our meal, without having to be asked. Every single bite was nothing short of spectacular! I ordered the "Gold Rush" mocktail. It was delicious! There were bonus courses brought to us. So yummy! Now let me tell you, I have never had service that even came close to this. Our water glasses were never empty. Everyone who came to the table was attentive and helpful. 3 5-course tasting menus 1 3-course tasting menu 2 gold rush mocktails 2 bottles of wine 2 cups of coffee ~ $900 I've never spent so much on a meal, but it was ABSOLUTELY worth it!

We went to "The Cellar" at the Elderberry House, which is more like a bar. Very up-classed, extremely talented bartender, very limited food dishes. This is literally a cellar, there is a bar, and wine cellar and a couple tables. The Cellar is open to the public, so don't let the $950 nightly room rates scare you away. Prices on food and drinks are comparable to other eat-in restaurants in the area. Wednesday is happy-hour-day where they have a large selection of very good drinks for only $10. The Cellar seats at most 20 people, so it's more for small parties, or couples. The hamburger is extremely good, the top 10 in my life.

Beautiful Fine Dining Experience. Perfect for a special occasion or romantic date night. Ambiance is enchanting with soft glow of chandelier, elegant dinning rooms, and beautiful patio seating. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. You could choose from either a 3 course $70 or 4 course menu $90. Each course had a selection of dishes you could choose from: soup or salad, appitizer, entree and dessert. Each course was taken out one by one and you had time to enjoy each course. They had a way of combining different flavor to make a dish that was familiar, but different. At the end of our meal we were gifted a bottle of Coquelicot wine which I thought was so nice of them. Service: was top notch professional and informative. They described each course as they came out. They check on us regularly and even took pictures for us. Perfect place to spend our Anniversary.

The food was delicious. The cocktails were incredible (the Peach Bellini and the Manhattan). But the star of the show were the wait staff. Very personable, and pleasant to be around. They made the evening a success. Thank you for making our special birthday evening a night to remember!

Quick Summary Fantastic service from start to finish with excellent food and cocktails. Fantastic spot if you're craving a "fine dining" experience at Oakhurst Food- 5 stars They come with a tasting menu and give you the option for a 3 or 4 course menu. We ordered the 4 course menu to try everything out. Broccoli soup- this was fantastic. Probably the best dish of the night. Perfectly balanced and really liked the touch of chili oil to round out the dish Caviar- this was good. Lower end caviar always is! Great value here Ribeye- this was cooked perfectly. I just thought the reduction was a tad bit sweet, which is why I liked the elk better Elk- this was fantastic. Liked it more than the ribeye, especially because of the sweet potato puree Namelaka- dessert was fantastic. Very balanced and not too sweet. Enjoyed every bite Spiced carrot torte- same as above. I liked both desserts and would suggest just to get the dessert that sounds more appetizing to you Drinks- 5 stars Irish maid- really enjoyed this cocktail. Extremely refreshing, especially after a long hike in Yosemite Elderberry sour- their version of the gin sour. Very delicious, balanced, and light Service- 5 stars Service was excellent from start to finish. Everything you would expect from a fine dining restaurant from the service to the ambiance Bottom Line Excellent food and cocktails at the Elderberry House. The service is what pushes this place to the top. Great spot to visit if you're in the fine dining mood

We are taking Thanksgiving to a new level - a fine dining level. Our 6 courses were fantastic. I cannot find a better word. I also found a new tea to drink, Paris. Each course was very tasty. Our favorite - the scallops with sweet potato puree. All my life, this is the best thing I've ever had. If you have the means and the time, this is it. Thank you to those that cooked, prepared, served, and cleaned up after us. We appreciate your efforts. Atmosphere was peaceful, even with the room filling up with light conversations. Access, well, we were early, only one vehicle in the lot, So I called them. They were on the verge of opening. I do suggest those with mobility issues be dropped off at the entrance atop the hill, otherwise there are steps to get up there.

Stumbled upon this fairytale French chateau while searching for dining spots on a Yosemite trip, and I’m so glad I did! The staff were polite and the service was excellent. The food was good, and the whole place has such a charming, elegant vibe. I just wish I had more daylight to explore the estate, it looks absolutely stunning. Definitely a memorable spot worth visiting!

I have patronized Erna's for the past 30 years and have enjoyed every dining experience. Just exceptional. Sure its pricey but the experience is worth every penny....or should I say every 100 dollar bill. A word of caution though. Was there a few days back for drinks and apps in the bar. Ordered the soup which was absolutely exquisite. All 1.5 cups of it. My date and I felt slighted. The size of the bowl was disproportionate to the serving. By a lot. Too much. Please keep this in mind. No one likes to leave the table hungry. And pay the prices to boot.

Always a great place to visit! We celebrated both our 5-year and now our 10-year anniversaries here, and the food and experience have always been amazing. This time, however, the menu was much more limited—likely due to cutbacks—which was a bit disappointing. We were hoping for a tasting menu with add-ons, but all of those options were gone. Still, the food and service were excellent, and we’d happily return for our 15-year celebration—just knowing now that the menu might be more limited.

I went to celebrate my birthday by myself and I loved the atmosphere the bartender was amazing! I loved that he made especial cocktails that i have never tried before, but I was really disappointed with the food. It tasted great, but I did find a hair in my food. The bartender felt really bad and he took it off my tab. I forgot his name, but he was amazing. Im really thankful for the way he treated me. Made me feel comfortable.

The service and atmosphere here are excellent, top notch even, but the food is just okay. For the high price I expect the food to be perfect and it wasn't. The meal was served in a pre fix style instead of al la carte and I got the 3 course meal which came with 3 extras as well. It was $110. The sorrel sauce in the amuse bouche was horrendously salty. I love salt and don't shy away from it, but this was just inedible. This was like someone made a mistake measuring the salt and tripled the recipe. I couldn't even finish 1/3rd of it. The following salad was nice, the pea puree was almost too salty as well but not nearly as extreme and instead it balanced the bitter herbs well. The hamachi crudo was excellent, zero complaints, no notes. The house made bread was nothing notable but it was good. The Ribeye was fantastically tender and cooked perfectly to the temp I requested. The steak was paired with morel mushroom and ramps, both of which were disappointing. I've had morels countless times and really love their unique flavor, these tasted like they were fried in steak grease. There was zero mushroom flavor (let alone morel flavor), only meat flavor. Similarly ramps are fantastic the way they are, instead these were pickled which really destroyed their delightful garlicky onion taste. Also there was only 1 small ramp and only 3 tiny morels. I can get steak anywhere, give me more ramps and morels! After the main course was a strawberry curd dessert, essentially a lemon bar but with strawberry and rhubarb with a sesame crust. It was simple and I mean that in a good way. The curd was refreshing after the heavy steak and it's texture was divine. Five star dessert. The last extra treats were pear and blueberry pâtes de fruit, basically house made gummies. They were a nice thought though neither tasted much like their respective fruit and the pear pâte was much more bitter than I ever would have expected for a fruit dessert. It was kind of metallic. Having never had a pâte de fruit I'll just assume that's how it's supposed to be, I guess. Could be better. I can't help but imagine a welch's fruit snack with a touch of angostura bitters would be better. I suspect this place is capable of better though I won't be back. All the little extras from the chef seemed like experiments that weren't quite polished yet, though they nailed most of the main portions of the meal.

We arrived early and had a drink at the bar, pricey but really good drinks and excellent service. We had a large party of 8 so we were put in a room in the back. Unfortunately I was right next to the fireplace which you think would be nice, but no it smelled so awful. They obviously need to clean their septic, and i thinks its absolutely horrible that can serve food under such circumstances. It made the food difficult to enjoy, and I really didn't want to say anything because the rest of our party was from out of state and so excited to eat there. Only my side of the table could smell it, but the restroom not surprisingly was behind the fireplace, also smelled so bad I had to hold my breath. As for the food and wine pairings, they were good but I did find the ribeye too lean and lacking in flavor. It wasn't worth the price, but it was different. Service was good, I enjoyed the announcement of the wine pairings and food. I probably won't go back.

I had only heard great things about the restaurant and have always wanted to go. I hate to leave a one star review, but am doing so mainly because of the exorbitant cost. It was over $325 for dinner for two with only water and one coffee to drink. I think there is still potential for you to have a great dining experience, but ours didn’t match the price. We drove up in the dark for anniversary dinner, and the restaurant was not easy to identify from the highway or upon arrival. I think signage would be helpful about where the restaurant is exactly and where to park. Then when we got inside, the dining room was just slightly too cool to really be comfortable! The fabric on the pillows, chairs, and banquette appeared dingy. Our menu was customized with our names on it, which was a nice touch, however, there was only a beef or pork choice although I had requested a pescatarian friendly diet. They did accommodate us on that, though. The first item served was an oyster with an icy fruit topping. Next was a cold sashimi style dish with a fruit and spicy chili sauce base and pieces of excellent rosemary focaccia with herb butter. The main course was pan-fried salmon served with a small amount of sautéed spinach, two slices of grilled onion, and a tomato soup tasting base. Lastly the dessert was served. While the flavor was delicious, it was nearly impossible to eat with the small spoon it was served with. Chilled and covered with a thick layer of chocolate, I had to actually pound on it to break it open. While I really appreciate the amount of inventiveness, know-how, and skill it took to create these dishes, the mostly cold dishes in a cooler dining room failed to provide a comforting feeling. The pairings seemed nearly one-dimensional being seafood heavy and with a noticeable lack of vegetable, starch, and/or grain. The location and dining room are certainly unique and the staff were really great.
