Food is great. Have ordered there twice now. All my friends thoroughly enjoyed their food as well. Portions for what we ordered were pretty large for the price point which in general was reasonable/cheap. Do yourselves a favor and ignore the low reviews from people who seemingly have no idea what they're talking about.

wow! This is authentic! The closest thing you can get to homemade Mexican food. The food is super fresh and just like homemade. You can tell they use fresh ingredients every day. Unbelievable flavor in every bite. We love it and we go there twice a week. Take out only that’s why I gave atmosphere four stars. But wow, you can’t beat it for East Coast, Mexican food. YUMMY!!!!!!

Authentic Mexican takeout! The food here is fantastic. The tortillas are homemade, and the food is the real deal. Everything we’ve tried here has a homemade vibe, and the ingredients are high quality. The service is fantastic, and has a true mom-and-pop feel. I’m so happy to have such a high quality authentic Mexican restaurant in Oakland.

We couldn’t be a bigger fan of this place and the employees. This is exactly what Oakland needed! As a long time customer of Wilkes and big time authentic Mexican food fans, have been waiting for this to open for the longest time. I think we might have been one of the first customers LOL The food is fresh and tasty. The workers and owners are incredible. BEST part is the helpings are HUGE and the prices are so fair.

Lupita’s is amazing. I have had the Miguel’s bowl, enchiladas, and fajitas - never disappointed. Finding great mexican cuisine in Oakland is no longer a problem. This is not tex-mex or American fast food. It is authentic, fresh, from scratch Mexican food. You can tell by the tortillas that this food is made with passion. The staff is friendly and makes effort to remember the names of their regulars. Great hours and convenient.

tried this place a few times but stopped since there weren't too many vegetarian options. since then, they've added a few more items. cauliflower tacos are delicious. this is AUTHENTIC mexican food. puts all "mexican" chains to shame. i hope these guys stay open for a long time

Gave 3 stars because ingredients were very fresh..Just didn't taste great..blah..I was clear I wanter lettuce and tomatoes sour cream, salsa and lots a cheese..This is more of authentic mexican..Dry..no melted cheddar mix cheese. Worth a try but nothing like taco bell menu..Totally differnt in everyway..I'm confused 😕

Rude and overpriced, speaking of prices- they have none. Except the rice and beans- $3.99 right? Nope, for 4oz sides of rice and beans with my tacos I was charged $7.90 additional. Not even sure how that happened, but the cashier insisted that I was wrong and that they do indeed charge nearly $1/oz of rice(or beans). That’s insane, and incorrect according to the menu. When I asked about menu prices, they said they didn’t have them yet. That makes no sense, they have a tv as a menu board. Just put the prices on the menu? I prefer to give my business to local places, but this is just ridiculous. Pictures of the menu included for reference.

Over price 1 16oz bottle of water $5.50 and the recipe showes 20oz and 2 tacos $16.47 really the food is great but the pice is overpriced
