Best all you eat crab legs place, $69 per person on Tuesday only. Service was wonderful. Everything was nice and clean. Great selection of other food for those who doesn't eat seafood. The crab legs were a definite highlight - fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. I highly recommend giving it a try.
5 Stars – A True Gem and Great Discovery! I had the pleasure of visiting The Lot At Edgewater for the first time when I met up with some dear friends, and what a great find it turned out to be! From start to finish, everything about our experience hit the mark. The restaurant itself is relatively new and has a beautifully designed interior with an open, airy layout. Sunlight pours in through large windows, creating a bright and cheerful atmosphere that feels both modern and welcoming. It’s clean, thoughtfully arranged, and spacious without losing that cozy charm. Our group of five fit perfectly and comfortably, but you can tell it can suit anything from a brunch date to a bigger celebration. Our server, David VG, was outstanding, clearly living up to those “Very Good” initials! Friendly, attentive, and on top of everything without being intrusive. His service genuinely enhanced the overall experience. Thanks, David! Now, on to the food, which absolutely blew me away. Everything was served hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The portions were very generous; if you walk away hungry, it’s your own fault! The crab bisque deserves its own moment of praise, hands down, the best I’ve ever had. David even shared that it’s so beloved, the restaurant doesn’t even bother offering a second soup. Trust me, they don’t need to. For our entrees, we had a mix of four sandwiches and one breakfast dish, and every single plate was a hit. Generous, flavorful, and satisfying. We wrapped up the meal with a shared order of beignets, which were awesome but an enormous portion, we almost couldn’t finish them… but we dug deep and made it happen! Soft, warm, and dusted in sugar paired with both a chocolate and mixed berry jam, the perfect sweet finale. In summary: If you’re local, this should already be in your rotation. And if you’re within an hour’s drive, make the trip, you won’t regret it. The Lot At Edgewater is a fresh, delicious, and genuinely enjoyable spot that’s definitely worth your time. I will absolutely be back! We did make reservations which I highly recommend, especially if you have a larger party.
Stopped for brunch after a Dr Appt. My husband had the thin and crispy pancakes and they were outstanding. Also had the old fashioned breakfast. Perfectly cooked eggs! Passionfruit Mimosa and house Bloody Mary. Hit the spot after a stressful morning. Can’t wait to go back.
Brunch or dinner is always great here. It’s a little pricey, but the food is delicious and the portions are generous. Crispy pancakes are perfect and plate sized! They reheat well too. The lamb is my favorite for dinner.
Had a great time at The Lot at Edgewater. We rolled in with a group of 12, and everyone was happy with their food, which is saying something. The Cream of Crab Soup was an easy 10/10—rich, creamy, and loaded with crab. Definitely one of the best I’ve had. Everything else we tried was solid, too. The menu has a good mix, and the food came out fresh and well-cooked. No complaints from anyone at the table, which doesn’t happen often with a big group. Overall, it was a great spot with great food. Definitely worth checking out, and I’d go back just for that crab soup.
My dinner was amazing second time visiting in a monthThe meal I had tonight was truly something special, and I savored every single bite. It's actually the second time I've been there this month, which says a lot about how good it is. I'm already thinking about what I'll order next time because the menu is full of delicious options. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a fantastic dining experience. Seriously, the food and atmosphere are just top-notch, I can't get enough of it.
Been here a few times, each visit gave me a different vibe. First visit we were seated in the main area, very noisy and crowded. This most recent visit we were seated in the outdoor area. Better experience. It was cold out but warm & toasty at our table. I ordered the egg white omelet that came with a side salad. I added a hanger steak to my salad. It was an amazing meal. I could see myself eating this 4-5 times a week. Our waitress was attentive to our needs, never an empty glass.
So happy we found this fantastic brunch venue in Oakmont! We enjoyed the food, the vibe and the amazing service we received here! Brunch is served until 3pm on Sundays. We were seated after a small wait. Reservations available from what we heard from some guests arriving. The restaurant was eventful and bustling with guests and patrons. The spot was a big larger than what we expected. We were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed the wings, salad, chicken sandwich, lobster roll and bacon. Servers brought everything out hot and fresh. There was a parking lot available but we were able to find parking on the street. We loved the additional couch seating making this easily a great happy hour spot as well. We will definitely come back.
As this was our first visit, we ordered from all over the menu. Care is taken for every dish, even something as simple as grilled olives was done perfectly. The oysters Rockefeller, crab cake and filet were all done very well. But the star of the show was the bowl of beignets, absolute bursts of delight with each bite. Do not skip dessert here! After dinner we went upstairs to the cigar lounge and ordered some great cocktails and smokes. The limited humidor is well-stocked with enough popular brands that anyone can find the right stick. And Josh behind the bar was excellent, as busy as he was there was never a wait for his attention. We will be back again soon.
Thick crab soup BEST in Pittsburgh Five stars for service. Kelley. Ordered the pork chop (double thick bone in) seared on plate of mash potatoes with some fried and seasoned brussels sprouts with a cherry Demi glaze. Nice combo I would never make that for myself but eating it out at The Lot please fantastic. Cheers to staff I met out and we’re so enthusiastic about their food and atmosphere great place to wind down a weekend they’re open till 10 PM on Sundays.
I recently went for a birthday party. The service was patient and quick with our large party. My food was delicious. My potatoes were cooked perfectly. My omelet was missing an ingredient, but it didn't matter. It was still good!!! I'm looking forward to going back to their Cigar Bar.
Brunch on a Saturday morning. Fantastic. The food is well prepared, different and so good. I had the Nutella French Toast and will definitely get it again. My daughter and I shared the crispy fried potatoes. Fantastic. The ambiance is great. Both indoor and outdoor seating and many cozy areas to relax in and have a Mimosa or a coffee. The only negative was that the coffee wasn’t very hot and nothing was provided to stir in your sugar or cream. We ended up using a fork! We are going to come again and check out the lunch or dinner offerings soon.
From the door the staff was kind, friendly, and accommodating. Brunch service was fast and the food was delicious. We ordered the Black Cherry Bellini and the Guava Bellini and both were tasty. Highly recommend.
Visited here the day before Mother’s Day, knowing it was going to be crazy pack. Even though their seating was primarily reserved ahead of time, bar seating was up for grabs. First come first serve. We had a party of 2, got here around 6:30ish and was able to immediately grab a seat at the bar. Not all bar seating is comfortable, however their seating was fairly comfortable and relaxed. We had enough room for our drinks, food and the stools were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly, lively and a pleasure to meet. I can’t exactly remember the bar tender name but he was great. Now on to the good stuff. The food and service was delicious. We didn’t have to wait long for the food to come out at all. As a cocktail I highly recommend the Coconut Breeze, delish! Food wise, the Salmon with polenta was superb. I also had Brussels sprouts on the side which was also a hit. We also got the the Steam pot which also very good. This is my second time visiting The Lot, I highly recommend. Food and service never disappoints!!!
This was my first time there and everything was delicious! The cauliflower appetizer didn’t sound appealing on the menu….however, it is so good! Definitely give that a try! The restaurant is also very clean and open. It was a busy night, but we never felt crammed or uncomfortable. I’d definitely go back!
Sunday breakfast was in the agenda and folks in the area recommended The Lot. Seating was limited but they got us seated outside right away. Very nice outdoor seating that was comfortable with each sitting area with its own fire table. It was a smidge chilly out but the fires were perfect. Service was quick and professional. Hannah did a great job of helping answer questions and making selections. The drinks and food were well prepared, delicious, and plated well. Great place.. I would come back again.
Oakmont’s upscale dining restaurant. They have a variety of steaks to choose from, seafood, lamb chops, salmon and other entrees. They have several salads and small plates, and also do brunch. There is a cigar bar upstairs. Tuesday is all you can eat crab legs.
Really nice atmosphere, fast and great service. Everything we ordered was delicious.
Fantastic atmosphere, great breakfast choices and delicious food. Outstanding service. Michelle, the waitress was very friendly and professional! Make sure you visit. Family friendly! One of The Best Dining Experiences in Oakmont. 💕
Spent this morning having a leisurely breakfast with family. Beautiful spot on the covered outside dining area with gorgeous comfy tables & chairs with lounge areas that offer gas pits for cozy times. The menu was scrupulous with a variety of traditional options as well as healthy options. Service was just ok. Attentive but lacking to include the typical "is there anything else you may need?" No spoons for coffee? I wasn't asked if I wanted one. Something I just expected of an upscale restaurant. The wait staff were plenty and friendly. Would come back to eat delicious food!
Always a great experience here. Food is to die for! Classy and a fabulous menu! The drinks are just as good as the food! Any time someone suggests brunch I suggest The Lot!
Best meal and service that I’ve had in a long time. This was my first time trying coq au vin, and it was so simple yet so flavorful. The cocktails were really good too. We also spent some time in the cigar room, another first for me. It was cozy. I don’t smoke cigars, but they smelled great.
The Lot is one of the best steak houses I have ever been too. Everything I have ever had here is superb. I love that The Lot has coffee cocktails. My go to drink I always order when I am here is the Millionaire's Coffee. It is decadent, as the name suggests, yet completely worth it. And it accompanies a savory dinner nicely. On my most recent trip to The Lot I tried their Lenten special. The Friday Fish Sandwhich. Wow! This was good. The brioche bun was light and airy. The cod was clean, fresh and cooked well. The slaw was tangy. The portion was huge. This meal was worth every cent. I've never had a bad experience here. The Lot is a bit of a hidden gem.
I always have a great experience at The LOT at Edgewater. Tonight, I went with friends for dinner, and everyone had great food as always. The service was phenomenal. Paul was great!
The atmosphere here was wonderful. The food was delicious. I had a chicken parm that was super scrumptious. My cousin had the steak and it looked amazing and she enjoyed it a lot. I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a good time and a fresh place with great food. Parking was also ample and we were seated immediately even at dinner time.
Came here during a work trip, following a recommendation from a friend. Simply amazing! I came on a Wednesday for their oyster and wine special. I had oysters, salmon, and a glass of wine; everything was seriously perfect! Danny was excellent and made sure my night went smoothly. He took great care of me and made sure I was having a good time. I sat outside and felt safe; staff wore masks and gloves. I liked it so much I came back for lunch! Ordered cream of crab soup, a small house salad, and an unsweetened iced tea. So good!! Danny is the best!! I’ll be back!
My first time at The Lot and it didn’t not disappoint. I came for dinner to catch up with a friend. The service was amazing and the head bartender made sure we weren’t short of anything. We started with mocktails, which were beyond tasty. We shared the Burrata Toast and WOW! This was to die for. The cheese and bread were so fresh. For my main course I got a classic, the Lot Burger. A homemade bun and custom grind beef made the perfect meal. I can’t forget the tasty parmesan fries. I will return in the near future because I was very impressed for my first time.
I am always excited to come here! Every plate is delicious! The staff is friendly and the food comes fast and warm!
The AYCE crab legs are amazing! My friends both had steaks and were very pleased. The potatoes are beyond words!! The pork belly appetizer is also worth trying. I can't wait to go there in the summer, they have a huge patio space.
The lot at Edgewater is a solid and convenient option in Pittsburgh. It’s easy to access and well-located, making it a great choice whether you’re visiting the area or parking for work or an event nearby. The space is generally clean and well-maintained, with clear layout and reasonable room to park without feeling cramped. One of the biggest advantages is the location—close to major roads and nearby destinations, which saves time and hassle. The area feels safe, and overall it’s a reliable place to park when you need something straightforward and stress-free. Their food is amazing and is really worth your money. There pancakes are ginormous, there waffles are cooked perfectly, and it has great options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I’d definitely recommend the Edgewater lot to anyone looking for a convenient and dependable parking option in Pittsburgh.
Literally blown away by my experience here. My husband and I came on Christmas Eve as an end of year treat and were taken care off 100%. Kevin who visited our table to refill and collect our plates had us absolutely cracking up. Great humans and great food at this place, also huge shoutout to Tyler our serve who answered all of our questions + guided us to the best oysters. We will be back!
Food was very GOOD! Our server Tylar was so nice and checked on us often! The entire team did a fabulous job get us our meals. Give the Lot a try you'll be glad you did!
Delicious cocktails, great menu selections for everyone. Friendly servers who don't hover but are there when you need them. Relaxed atmosphere and family friendly
We recently moved to Penn Hills and have made quick work of checking out every bar and restaurant in a 2 mile radius of our little MCM house, so tonight was for The Lot. Excellent experience — the food was really good and the portions sizeable (we took a doggy bag to go that will serve for tomorrow night’s meal in). This place is one of those upscale casual spots, where you’ll see patrons range from ladies in full makeup and tracksuits to someone like me, who overdresses for the grocery store. Fortunately, no one made me feel weird about my vintage fur. ;) Our server was efficient, friendly, but not overly ebullient, which is fine if you’re giving good service and doing what you need to do. I felt a weird urge to win her approval though, which I chalk up to the fact that I’m a people- pleasing elder millennial. But I digress. My partner’s steak was cooked to perfection, our shared apps flavorful and well plated without being fussy, and the drinks were good, though I must admit I found Hubby’s smoked whiskey cocktail a bit on the sweet side. I blame the suburban crowd and their insatiable hunger for glucose. :)) I am not someone who you could pay to give a shit about sports, but if you are, you’re in luck — big screens showing tennis, basketball, and ice hockey just on the random Tuesday night we were here. And a tv-free back patio if you don’t want that, either. Overall, absolutely lovely place to go. Nice atmosphere, easy to park, very easy to make a reservation online, efficient service, great staff. There’s a cigar bar we have yet to check out, so we’ll be doing that next time we come in. I’ll probably skip the fur on that visit.
Good spot. Quality dishes. Big fan of the small plates atmosphere and staff were good.
A most enjoyable dinner! The atmosphere under the awning is magical. The food was delicious and the Chef's presentations were each a visual experience. Service was fast, friendly, informative, and attentive. (Service from the bar was a little slower than anticipated but not a spoiler.) Special orders - I asked if Chef would prepare my calamari without breading and it was perfect! Visiting from Clearwater and will definitely come back again when in Pittsburgh.
Great summer vibe, patio was a really chill place to be! Food was stellar and service was solid. Chicken parm was a solid portion and well worth the $! Will definitely go there again if I can and check out the cigar bar too, liked like a nice quiet place to grab a cigar on top of solid meal and drink!
It's OK. On a Thursday afternoon for lunch I waited for my friend to arrive. The entire time waiting by the hostess stand I just heard constant complaining and mocking of customer who called by the hostesses. Maybe they thought I couldn't hear, or maybe they just didn't care, either way grow up and don't gossip about customers at work, in front of customers. The crab cake Benedict was good but nothing to write home about for $22 with no sides. Overall a little on the pricey side for a casual environment and not that big of portions. Server was nice but distracted with too many tables.
Sept 2024: Nice restaurant a little pricey but the food was good. Got the BYO omelet with toast.. came out to about $19. May 2025: Came back here for brunch and got the thin pancakes and belini, would recommend both! the roasted potatoes are great too! Great portions.
Overall the food is pretty good, but definitely over priced. The best deal is the all you can eat crab legs on Tuesdays. They’ve raised the price to $69, but the crab legs are always fresh and delicious, and it truly is all you can eat. Brunch is also quite good and much more affordable.
What’s for lunch? (Saturday~ March 7, 2020) Pickled fried chicken & House pickled veggies!! To drink: Berry screwdrivers!!! 🍽🥰 Meal specs: The sandwich was made with 2 pieces of pickle-brined chicken, creamy jalapeño coleslaw caper aioli and brioche!! It was crispy & good!! I liked the coleslaw with it!! It was a nice combo!! More sauce would of been nice!! Yum!! The house pickled veggies were NOT good to me @ all!! It was cold! Yuck! I immediately knew I didn’t like it as soon as I took a bite!! They could work on their side options!!! 🙅🏽♀️ Drink specs: As always... very good!! It has enough alcohol & it’s sweet!! 🍹 Bon appétit!!!🍴👍🏼
The Lot is one of several restaurants owned by the same person. All of them offer a unique dining experience. The Lot is the high end restaurant but the prices are not as high as I expected. I had the Lot Burger. This thing is huge and tasted amazing. It comes with crispy fries. For the pair it was $22 dollars without a drink. There is a cigar shop above it with a bar and a main bar in the restaurant. If you are price conscious then breakfast or lunch is good. Breakfast goes till 3pm. Highly recommend this and any of the Oakmont restaurants.
It's me again. First, let's get this out of the way.....The food is very good. The waitstaff is excellent. The main reason for any high review! The charge for credit card use is 1.5% to 3.5%. Why do you charge your patrons 4%? Why are the restrooms cold (in winter)? Why is the main dining room cold? (in winter)? And my MAIN BEEF is, why can't you spring for some long sleeved thermal shirts in Navy Blue with your logo on it for your servers. You keep buying up restaurants. I can guarantee you, the long sleeved T's are a lot cheaper!
Very nice place but... It was COLD where we were sitting. The server tried to rectify this so she wasn't inattentive, but the temp kept fluctuating. The food wasn't bad! Until I bit down on a piece of plastic in my pancakes 😣 (this and the omelet were taken off the check) but was a bit disconcerting. Overall not bad. Maybe I'll give it another try for dinner
Good outdoor seating, better for breakfast. nice tv’s(if that’s important. Not) hi any pancakes thinner and nicely crispy edges. Jams and berries too. Healthy options! Oatmeal. Coffee is so so. Surprised they don’t buy local coffee (mechanic, La Prima espresso, others) or local maple syrup??
Food was good but the service was terrible. Took forever to get our drinks. The waitress barely ever stopped to check on us. After she left the check she left for the night and no one seemed to take over her table. We had to find someone to take our check. For the prices I would have expected much better service.
Disappointed. Chicken Parm pounded beyond thin and overcooked, half was inedible on top of overcooked mushy pasta...waitress noticed at the end of meal that it didn't look good...Apologized for not coming over sooner and offering a replacement. She did take $8 off the bill without being asked. Steak cooked perfect but salty, overpriced with a la cart sides (trying to be Napa Prime in a more casual setting). Service was friendly but slow. Nice atmosphere, outside dining, and upstairs cigar bar. Perhaps I just had a bad night, but won't be back to see if that's true.
Came here Saturday 9/20 for dinner (this is NOT our first time coming here, the first few times were great! so this is a disappointment!) - we arrived at 4pm & there was barely anybody else there. Party of 2, date night! The first thing we were told by our hostess is that we "needed to leave by 5:30pm to make room for reservations" - which would've been fine, had our appetizers/soup not arrived until almost 4:45pm. $50+tax for 12 SMALL raw oysters is asanine ... got our mains at 5:15pm. Steak was burnt on the outside & the crispy pork belly was soggy. We spent $200 on this meal & won't be coming back ... For this price, we could've went somewhere downtown & had a much better experience ...
Horrible experience. Not a kid friendly place at all. We reached early and they gave us a corner table directly under the hot sun with countless tables empty. We had an infant in our arms and they said to stand there while they will ask someone to lower the blinds which still would allow the heat and sun to come, specially on the infant. There was not any area of shade on that table that would have allowed coverage for him. We asked about several other tables empty next to us and in shade and the girl rudely said ‘they are reserved’. You can see the photos I’ve watched just HOW many were empty. We kept standing by the table and waiting for next couple minutes for someone to lower the blinds with my infant in my arms and no one came. We asked the other girl for any other table only to have her come back and say ALL are reserved. I told her we would just leave then and she went ‘Okay!’ No customer courtesy, no offering for anything else. I went back to the main desk and looked at the reserved tables on the tablet with the girl there, and inquired another girl there. She told me it’s an online system and the specific tables aren’t reserved but according to the number of people. So no consideration was offered to us to seat us on a table with shade despite the restaurant being empty. The tables were reserved for next half hour so no accommodation was offered. Their logic was to let us be in the sun and heat while other tables stayed empty in cool shade for next hour or so. And there were couches or so that were also empty that I saw on the reservation tab at the front desk but like I said the girls didn’t even bother to make any suggestions or accommodations. Extremely rude staff, rude service. If you are a family with kids, think twice before going here. We had to drive another several minutes to get our toddler breakfast so if you’re willing to get your morning started rotten, with rude ignorant bunch of staff, no consideration despite having kids with you AND also pacify your little ones then sure. This is the place. NEVER going or recommending anyone.
I was told this place was pretty good. The person I went with, has gone several times and always raves about it. Unfortunately, unless it was a single bad night, their food is trash. The cooks absolutely ruined a $55 cut of meat, The crab stuffed lobster tail tasted like soap inside overcooked lobster. And if it counts for anything after all that when the manager came over, it was clear he was high as a kite. after the entrée being garbage and ruining a dinner date for two people, they still had the nerve to charge $75 for a glass of wine, brussels sprouts and a few oysters. Perhaps I’m wrong and that’s fair if I am, but as the manager, you would think you just wiped the bill and and charge that one to the game. But no $75 for brussels sprouts oysters, a glass of Coke and a glass of wine. Completely outrageous. I’ve had better foods out of the worst McDonald’s I’ve been to. Waste of money.
