The lady running the counter was nice, and the building was cozy. I'm a health conscious, long time vegetarian visiting my "bacon and whiskey for breakfast" grandpa in Port A. He was happy they had sesame chicken and beer, so he didn't have to eat my liberal food. If this place were in downtown Austin or Denver it would be horrible and would have went under long ago, relative to other poke places. The rice was mushy, and they didn't have a selection of bases, the tofu was inexplicably little fried pieces, the veggies were lackluster. Nothing fun like pickled onions and such. Starts at 15$ a bowl, and boba tea doesn't include boba. It's an extra 2$. Their alcohol selection was uninspired, but probably smart to have boxed margaritas and light beer available anyway. All that being said, it's probably the most edible thing on the island, and I give it happily 5 stars as I'll be back next time Grandpa insists on eating out. Just don't go in expecting it to be like your favorite poke place back home.
Delicious!! These Poke bowls are basically a deconstructed sushi roll with the toppings of your choosing. There’s plenty of toppings! This is the only place I found salmon on this island. We were quite happy to find this place, although their hours seem to be a bit sporadic in the winter. But it’s definitely worth the chase! Contrary to some reviews I thought the price is appropriate for the bowl. You’d pay the same for 1 sushi roll anywhere else.
We came across port a poke after having been unsuccessful in finding at table at any restaurants without an hour wait. I am so happy that we did, the poke and sushi was delicious!! My kids devoured their miso soups and California rolls, my husband and I shared a large salmon lovers bowl. We did not leave a scrap of food it was all so good. It is a small place and not a lot of seating but luckily it was not too busy as we arrived near closing time. If you are hungry and want good food relatively quickly I recommend this place!
Delicious experience at this little restaurant. I built my own bowl with salmon and scallops, and my partner got one of their signature bowls, matcha tea and sake. We had been on the road all day and it really hit the spot. Will definitely come back!
This place was so delicious! I got a peach boba tea with assorted bobas, miso soup & a salmon sushi roll. All together was around $20, so not bad at all! Good portions. Lady up front was so nice and let us take as long as we wanted to decide. ❤️ We’ve decided we will be back tomorrow as well. 🤙🏼 Forgot to take pics lol
Called in an order for a Philadelphia Roll, a Beach Roll, and a Tuna Lovers Bowl. Superb! Was very pleasantly surprised with the freshness, taste, and presentation. Excellent selections. The Bowl, in particular, had a great pairing of flavors.
When we walked in we were greeted with an unexpected aroma. Then we found out there is an open doorway between the Poke shop and the ice cream shop- then it made sense! The menu is easy to read, ingredients were fresh and the staff answered our questions gracefully. We were pleasantly surprised at the protein options even for non sushi people!
Wonderful food and wonderful service!! This is a delicious place to eat. I’m glad we found it. I had the salmon bowl. He had the tuna bowl and I also had the wild berry boba tea. Mmmm!! 😋 is all I can say!!
Absolutely fantastic poke restaurant in Port Aransas! The variety of fresh, high-quality fish and toppings was impressive. Each bowl is beautifully crafted and bursting with flavor. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring a delightful dining experience. I can't wait to return for more delicious poke bowls. Highly recommend.
The boba teas, sushi and service was amazing! Definitely a place to try! Very limited seating though. There were only 4 chairs along the wall with a little counter top to sit at. But even with the limited seating, the food is delicious 😋
Walked up and ordered. It was an hour + wait at two other restaurants. Is it the best bowl I've ever eaten? No. The best within 100 miles? Most likely. Was it better than waiting an hour to get a seat for seafood? 4 stars for food and great service. 5 stars.
Sushi was great and my daughter and son were very happy. Will definitely go again next time I am there.
My favorite place to come grab a bite when I visit the island. The ingredients are always fresh, the employees are always smiling and ready to serve. My favorite is the build your own bowl with double crabmeat and filled with veggies. We tried the adult Boba and they were fun in the sun. Port A Poke is apart of our vacation memories… old and new!! We will always return, and always tip. Please never leave the island, we love you!
This was my first time trying this place I always visit Port Aransas with my bestie and Helen was so amazing she had great recommendations from the menu she made great conversation!! I loved getting to know a little bit about her and she did an amazing job serving us! She even gave my bestie a birthday boba drink on the house and made sure we were happy with everything we got this is such a great place with amazing food!! everything was made fresh and I will definitely be coming back every single time I’m in Port Aransas Thank you Helen you’re amazing !!
I love the way they decorated the place and the options that you have to choose from. My first time here and the sushi is very tasty and the Boba tea has many choices with their own special Boba flavors as well. There is also outside seating in this small center with other shops but I will definitely be back to try more
We love to stop by this little hidden gem for a jasmine lychee bubble tea! Super friendly staff, recommend. Make sure you get bubble tea spot right before going on the jetty boat.
Such a cute spot!! The employee who helped us was so sweet and helpful and helped us out on our indecisive order decisions. Definitely our favorite spot we stopped at on our trip!
Update 9/21/25- another year has flown by and we paid Port A Poke another visit and it STILL is amazing! Tiffany and Ashley were both so kind! We came Saturday for a boba and Tiffany explained all the options for boba teas and is sooo extremely sweet. Sunday we stopped by for lunch before we headed out back home and Ashley made 3 BEAUTIFUL AND DELICIOUS poke bowls! This place has never failed us! Thank y'all SO much! We come every year for my daughters birthday, she is 9 this year and it's an amazing treat for her! Helen was so kind and helpful! We had a Great experience for my daughter’s eighth birthday! She had to get a Boba in Port A and this was a perfect spot!
This place is fantastic. I had the Asian beef bowl with extra spicy Mayo, a mango tea with strawberry boba and egg rolls. The service was amazing and the woman working was beyond helpful and kind. My BFF and I tried a new place on our girl’s trip and we’re planning on coming back tomorrow!!
Such a cute place, I wish they had tofu as protein options but you can have it as topping. The fried garlic topping was fabulous. The qty is generous and service is good. Whenever am back will keep eating here.
We tried all of their signature poke bowls (forgot to take photos 🤦🏻♀️) - they were all very good. Finished up with some boba milk teas - very good as well! Would recommend this cute place. Edit: visit again today. I thought the pokes bowls were ok, maybe a bit too much sauce for me. However, overall the ingredients were fresh. Still tasted good.

I’ve never had a poke bowl before and the girl working tonight was so helpful and made me a delicious bowl! My husband tried a few different sushi rolls and enjoyed all of them. We will definitely be back!!
The food was fresh and delicious! What made the experience even better was Tiffany! She walked me through the process and was so helpful and kind. I definitely recommend. Vibes are unmatched! & so is customer service!

Food was good. Service was slow. They forgot to make my son's food. So he watched us eat and shared his kids' food. He never got his order. They did refund him. Only one table in dining room. Ample seating outside. I won't make a trip back across to Port A just for that. We are locals. We ate there because we had a vegetarian in the group. She was happy with her order.
Very good food! I’m new to the island and was craving something different and found this place. I did order a port a lovers bowl and got a tuna bowl instead which was a disappointment since I don’t like raw fish. It was my mistake though for not realizing till I got home that it wasn’t what I asked for. I luckily had chicken in the fridge that I swapped out for the tuna and it is still delish! I’ll be back to try out the sushi very soon
We ordered a thai tea and milk tea as well as 2 regular poke bowls. I am used to the crab topping being a topping, but here it is considered a protein. I would say the one thing I did not like was the crispy onions on top. They had... Coconut shell pieces in them? I felt like I was going to break my teeth. My bowl was delicious though. We spent $50 on those 4 items.
Little sushi, poke, boba tea place. I went for their boba tea. Friendly service. I had their Tahi coffee boba which comes with chocolate boba. I'm not a fan as their boba is a shell with liquid in it, and their tea is very sweet. I prefer a less sweet tea with the chewy boba. While not for me, you may enjoy.
Small simple place to get limited sushi or Poke bowls. They also have decent selection of Japanese beer and various Boba drinks. We get ours to go as shop is small and tight, but there is seating outside. While simple, food is good.
This place was really great, though I came in with high expectations. I went twice, first got their Summer Heat bowl. It was fairly good but not very similar to what I was used to in Hawaii (spring lettuce mix, what? and the spicy tuna, well I've never enjoyed diced fish as much as whole pieces). Today I built my own bowl and that was even better. Although still not the same as Hawaii, which is always mixed together so that the sauce coats the fish - I would have preferred that. I got a really huge chunk of salmon for some reason, and had to cut it up, and a few of the pieces of fish had some somewhat tough parts, though maybe that is fairly normal. All in all, very tasty, but just not quite the same experience as Hawaii. Also, the lady who served me today was SO very friendly. Major props for having awesome staff.
Was so grateful for a vegetarian option that was tasty in Port Aransas. The tofu poke bowl was very yummy and my boyfriend enjoyed the smoked salmon. He says it was super flavorful. We went two days in a row. On the first day the girls working were really nice. On the second day that we went, the manager was working and was getting upset at a delivery boy in the front entrance while we were trying to come in. And whilst checking us out she knocked into my boyfriends poke bowl and knocked out some of the toppings. And didn’t really acknowledge it lol Overall good food at a reasonable price.
Very small indoor dining area, but we were happy to eat outside. The outdoor dining is nicely shaded and decorated in a fun Tiki Style. Place your order and watch your food being made a lot like the counter at a Sub Sandwich Shop. There were only 2-women working and they were hustling. They could have used another person to take orders and one to bring orders to the table. They did a great job, but needed some help. Some of us got our food at the counter, some food was brought out 10-minutes later, some food for 2 of us never came out so we went in and got it — by this time 3 of us had finished eating. Egg drop soup was forgotten. We were a family of 5 — 3-Poke Bowls, 2-rolls, and 1-soup with 25% tip $93. The food was good taste-wise, a bit pricy for the quality. I had the Tuna Lovers Poke — fresh, seasoned well, nice portion, but the tuna had big un-chewable fat strings in it. It was in the pieces cut in cubes (the minced up spicy tuna was fine). I had to spit the cube type in a napkin (my apologies for being graphic, but it really was pure gristle) I was only able to eat half of the Tuna in the “Tuna Lovers” Poke. The egg drop soup was cold and didn’t seem right — it was missing the egg with only a few stick like pieces. It’s spring break, but they didn’t seem overly busy. There wasn’t anyone in line before us. Another family walked in as we were walking away with our bowls. It was the sushi that seemed to slow things down. The taste of the sushi was great, but when you go to eat it you realize the roll was super loose. I’m guessing she was new at making rolls. It tasted fine, just falling apart when you try to eat it. I asked if any of the fish for the bowls was local and the woman making the food said they can’t get local fish because it violates a county ordinance…? I thought that was strange in a state that has a rural road system called “Farm to Table” — that, and we are on an Island…. I’m left scratching my head — I’m on an island, but I can’t eat the local fish at this restaurant because it violates a county ordinance— that doesn’t make sense to me…? Anyway — all that being said, I’m giving it 4-stars because the food did taste good, the ambiance was nice, and the staff was working hard. I would try another bowl, maybe something besides tuna. The Summer Heat bowls we ordered were great.
Was just passing through on the way out of town but the Boba teas were great, a Lil disappointed with the pb&j I ordered though. But I'd go back, they had a bigger menu that I just didn't have time or $ to get into. The place smelled great, almost had me stop to eat.
It’s a cute little shop. Limited indoor seating, but there is seating outside. Their poke bowls are delicious, fresh protein (I got the spicy tuna and smoked salmon). Their spicy mayo sauce has a kick, it was good. Their boba isn’t that great. I got a strawberry milk tea, it was alright. The tapioca balls were alittle overcooked and super soft and squishy. The staff were really sweet and friendly.

Great guy working behind the counter! Slow service, he really needed more help. Didn't have sushi rolls, which is what my granddaughters wanted, only bowls. The Boba teas were excellent. Summer isn't quite over, Summer in Texas is from April to November 😂, so be a bit more prepared when I come in September, October, and November 😁 The bowls were delicious but too much rice! I will be back😉
One of the better Asian eateries in Port Aransas. Parking can be tricky since it’s often packed—you may need to park farther away or use street parking. There are a few outdoor tables, but in the summer it can get very hot, and inside seating is limited to about three chairs. The space is small, so it can feel crowded, especially when busy. The servers were nice, and the poke bowls were decent, though they seemed to be running low on some items during our visit. Only two staff members were working, and most of their rolls were sold out at the time. Drinks were good, but a bit oddly priced—they ring them up by individual ingredients instead of as a complete drink (like boba + club soda separately, even if they only used part of the can). Overall, despite the quirks, we’d recommend it and would come back if we’re in the area again. A bit expensive though.

We only got drinks. 3 out of 4 lacked any flavor. Not the best boba place, but the staff was fairly friendly and the drinks were cold.
Tried the boba. It was refreshing and perfect for a hot beach day.
I'm only giving 3 stars because my husband got food poisoning from the smoked salmon. It was the very last bits so we think it might have been sitting out for a while. I would definitely try again just maybe go with a cooked protein. The Boba teas were GREAT!

Good service, small space but cute. This is my first time trying but not coming back. I ordered sushi bow, miso soup and milk tea. The sushi rice is old. My salmon is not even fresh so i have to throw them away. While other sushi bowl restaurants give free miso soup. I paid 3 bucks for this and only have 3 pieces of seaweed plus salty broth. Drinking milk tea but I can't even taste the tea. Not suggest milk tea. But they do have alot of drinks. The service is the only reason I didn't give 1 star.
this place is really bad, if i could give it zero stars i would. i had to wait an hour for a freaking sloppy tuna roll and it wasn’t even enough food to fill up a small child. the lady at the counter also said i was fat and refused to serve me a strawberry milk tea cuz she said i need to lose weight. she also ran over my dog in the parking lot and insulted my religion.
Rude staff rushed my family the whole time we were placing an order acted like getting off the clock was more important. Honestly have never experienced this type of service and I work as a server/ bartender so I always tip well and am very patient and understanding. Very rude rushing customers to order.
My 3 year old grandson wanted to play their claw machine so we tried twice. And twice he grabbed a toy only to have the claw mysteriously open up and lose the toy. It was obvious to all three of the adults there that the game is rigged. Warning! Don't play the game.
Our first time here and won’t go back. The girl working couldn’t give any advice on the menu because she’s never had anything on the menu. We ordered two spicy tuna rolls, a salmon poke bowl to share, and had one beer. I would have been fine with paying almost $50 if it would have been good. The poke bowl was mostly rice with maybe 2oz of salmon, the sauce was the only good thing about the bowl. I was in shock when the spicy tuna rolls came out on the lid of a to go container. The tuna was mush and the roll was so thick in rice and was rolled very sloppy. It was the worst Sushi I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for good sushi or poke.
We were treated like we were being a bother. Burned our food. Flavorless. My daughter asked for a drink and she said that's in the other shop. So after paying, she walked out of the store and went to the other shop. My daughter herd the other guest that was in the shop she was just in while she was in the other shop. She herd the client asking for the same drink. The same staff person comes from the back and makes the person the drink and takes it to her. She then made my daughter the drink which tasted awful. We won't be going back.

We got there Friday at 7, they immediately ignored us. When we got helped the lady told us they’ve closed the sushi 2 hours early and they were closing up already. Place was super cute on the outside, service was disappointing.
Save your money! Horrible customer service and the poke bowl was awful. Definitely didn’t ask for a side of attitude. Felt like you were inconveniencing them just by walking in. Worst one we’ve ever had, which says a lot because we always like to visit new shops. Forget about asking for a sushi roll if you’re craving one… they were “out.” Don’t plan on ever going back.
