My first time eating at Salt grass! The food was the best in Odessa by far. The service was amazing. Heather was very attentive, professional and very knowledgeable about the menu and how the food was prepared fresh. The only thing that was abnormal is that they didn't have a hostess when you walk in the door. Everything else was spot on. I highly recommend eating on the weekend for the prime rib. 👌

Went here with my family for Christmas Eve dinner and had a wonderful experience! I definitely recommend the cocktail called El Jefé, first of all. Thank you to the workers who did their best while being shortstaffed! I think this was some of the tastiest food I've ever eaten- and the steak was the best I've ever had. Would definitely come here again!!

I HAVE to brag on my experience with Abigail tonight, I was so tired, long day at work and I went with my friend up there for dinner. I know Sundays are exhausting to work and we got there a little late but she was genuinely so sweet, never made us feel rushed or feel like an inconvenience for altering our food alittle with add ons and such. She has the best attitude, and was so good helping us navigate the menu, recommended drinks and even hooked us up with the rewards program!! (Highly recommend) Chris the manager was awesome he came by to check on us and explain the rewards program to us to make sure we signed up properly and overall it was so nice to have a good experience, shout out to back of house and the heart of the restaurant the food was amazing!! Thank you guys! Can’t wait to come back! Ask for Abigail!

If I could give 1000 stars I would. This past Sunday Dec 21st we had our Company Christmas dinner here from the moment we walked in we were greeted so kindly. Then the managers and wait staff led us to the private room and introduced themselves to the ENTIRE staff working this evening THANK YOU!!! Everyone was so kind, professional, and accommodating to each and every one of our asks!!! We all had an amazing time. We all visit Saltgrass personally but now I’m positive we will continue with our company Christmas dinner here too! Thank you Saltgrass Odessa y’all were amazing!! God Bless Nayra

No one was up front, figured they were seating someone. They returned, and sat me. For about 10mins I sat looking the menu over, looking around, patient and tired. Worked a 15hr day and was looking for a hearty, go to meal: country fried steak and mashed potatoes...finally someone came to me. Young man was hard to hear, not that the place was packed or loud, he mumbled. Glass of water with lemon, and the meal, and I added the mac&cheese. Offered bread, I said sure. This is my first visit. That was a pleasant surprise. He brought the water (no lemon), bread, and my salad. To which he said my waitress would be by. Young lady was kind, and saw to it that I got the lemons, checked on my meal, and topped of the water as needed. Meal was good. Potatoes had a nice smooth, creamy taste. Mac&cheese tasted great. Steak was tenderized and the fried batter was light and seasoned. Gravy over the steak and potatoes was consistent and smooth. Will return during my trip.

Alice and Malini made our experience at Saltgrass unforgettable! Even though the bar and restaurant were absolutely packed, they provided service that was both warm and incredibly efficient. Alice was attentive and kind throughout, and Malini was an outstanding bartender—friendly, professional, and quick despite the rush. The food was delicious, but honestly, the service was the real game changer. They both made us feel welcome and well taken care of, turning a busy evening into a truly enjoyable one. I highly recommend their service when you come to Saltgrass—you’ll be in excellent hands!

We’ve been to this location 2 times for date night. We each ordered something different each time and both times it was outstanding! We were so hungry the first time we forgot to take pics but remembered the second time!! Misha was our server the first visit and she was just a blessing to have. Very respectful and talked to us like she had known us forever. Our server the second time was Elena and she was the sweetest most full of joy girl! Both of them exceeded all expectations and it says a lot about the company and their standards because our area is usually infected with bad service and people who don’t care about their customers or their job. My hats off to them!

The food was amazing! I ordered the Urban Cowboy, cooked perfectly medium well! The mash potato’s tasted like something home cooked which is perfection! We also order the Steak Queso and that it self started the amazing experience we had here. To any Tequila drinkers I recommend the Grilled Pineapple it’s a must have as well! But let me tell you about the service! We had the best server who was kind and very attentive! My father taught her a little bit of Spanish and she gave us an amazing experience. We were very much taken care of at this restaurant by her. Next time we go again we are asking for her again because we left very much expressed! Give Schaeffer a raise or employee of the month she goes by Kay as well. Please make sure she’s knows how great she did with this review that’s for her! Fantastic restaurant. The food was fantastic. I sat out on the patio with only one other couple and I was worried they would forget we were out there. The waiter did a great job and keeping up with the people outside. Very clean And comfortable. Great location too. Always coming back here.

Solid steak and great appetizers. We had a party of 12. I made reservations the day before but had to call to modify the number in our party. I called about 30mins before our arrival time. Terrible I know…but it was a last minute adjustment. They were so accommodating! He assured me it was no big deal and that they were already ready for us. He said we could even come earlier if we wanted to. The service was quick and attentive. There was a few times we had to remind her of a request, but with such a large table it was to be expected. Our orders were taken and barely any wait time between courses. The food was hot and cooked to order. Our sever was very pleasant and she made sure our kids were taken care of. We appreciated her patience as we asked her to repeat herself multiple times since it was pretty loud. Overall, it was an enjoyable lunch for a reasonable price.

Food would have been amazing except my husband and brother in law ordered the chicken fried steak and it had a pickle taste to it, I think they may fry it in the same grease they fry the pickles. It ruined it for them. If you order the chicken fry make sure you check how it will be cooked. We also had an extremely long wait to order and then receive our food. All easy fixes hopefully they will improve

Can’t go wrong with Saltgrass…usually. There were hardly any people here, due to the recent cold spell. So I stopped, and was seated. I wasn’t really hungry, but didn’t want to eat too later on that day so I ordered their sampler appetizer and a mango tea. It had range rattlers, half a rack of ribs, and brisket queso. Four smaller than usual rattlers. Brisket surprise queso, “surprise! Barely any brisket”. And a reheated more than once rack of ribs. Not my best experience. But that’s only happened once. So I might give it another chance. Oh! And that sampler was the small sized one on the menu…$30

Just like the other two major steaks houses, saltgrass is nothing special. Steaks are okay, sides are meh. I do wish they had a breakfast dinner. Cuz, it's never i bad idea for steak n eggs!! Just saying the the 3 staff members I engaged with were all nice especially whom I assume was the main hostess very nice and very engaging even if they were busy Waitress was nice as well. She did seem a bit spread thin. But, she wasn't showing it easily.

The food is great! The atmosphere is nice! 👍 But the service was terrible. Our waiter kept on bringing us the wrong drinks we asked for, she was talking WAY too fast for us to even know what she said. I feel like they should be clear when they speak and if they have our order ticket they should be able to look at it and see what correct drinks we ordered. She was training an employee who was observing what she was doing, but that was not a problem. She took FOREVER to bring the ticket to us when we were done dining. Bad service just from this one waiter.

BE CAREFUL !!! On 11/12/25 my friend and I placed an Uber Eats order for a couple burgers and cheesecake . The burgers were amazing ! I have no complaints regarding those. The Cheesecake for whatever reason had a metal piece that I just happen to bite into when I was chewing. I’m lucky I noticed it . I made a report the same day to one of the managers and have yet to hear a response. I say just to be cautious cause you never know what surprises you’re gonna get .
