Cielito Lindo Mexican Grill

I met my friend and his sister and 87 y/o mother at Cielito Lindo. They were on their way from Monterey to Los Angeles. Cielito Lindo did everything right to feed my guests and make them feel welcomed. The food was plentiful and delicious.

Place came highly recommended by a friend and they were on point! Service was prompt and courteous from start to finish. Fresh (warm) chips and salsa were great. Food was great. Their 3 Amigos Burrito was HUGE and tasted as good as the portions were huge. Also tried their quesadilla, tortilla soup and fajitas… all were EXELLENT!

The protein taco slaps so much harder than it has any right to, and the nachos are excellent! This place is incredible, the food is phenomenal, and I highly recommend it.

Just had dinner with my family and we loved it. I haven't been to Cielito Lindo for quite some time (not sure why I haven't). Forgot how great the food and service is. We will definitely be back sooner the later. Our new family favorite Mexican restaurant!!!

We had the Charro burrito, bean and cheese burrito and the birria tacos. The birria tacos were amazing with melted cheese on the tacos🤤. They changed their hours, open at 8 am on Sundays. Dog friendly patio met our needs.

We often get carne asada nachos, fajitas, and tacos. It’s our go to place in Orcutt.

The food is so good at Cielito Lindo, I sometimes think about applying for a job there, just so they could teach me how to cook their recipes. Then I come to my senses. Mexican and Italian food are my favorites, and Cielito Lindo, is my favorite Mexican Restaurant. Their staff is friendly, the restaurant is always clean. Their servings are also generous. They make their salsa fresh. I hate grocery store salsa. If all you need is salsa, you can buy some from them. During covid, they added outdoor seating. The one good thing that came out of Covid. I highly recommend them.

I had a fine lunch at Cielito Lindo. Even though nearly every table was occupied, the food came out quickly and was good. They had a couple of choices to serve yourself at the salsa bar. The service was good as well.

I am a vegetarian , I ordered in person a side order of Rice & Beans to go and I was charged $12.95 . The same order is $5.99 on their menu. The rice was very lumpy & the beans were watery . They put my order in cups instead of a foam tray . Sorry ! I will not go back ever . I think they are gouging their customers .

Though things have not returned to normal yet, they still strive to serve the public with excellence. Great tasting food(as always). Large group, 11 of us, still served us very well, even though the restaurant was closing in 40 minutes. Reasonably priced too!

We were seated immediately, provided with warm chips and salsa while we decided on our meal. We decided to split a combination plate - Tamale, cheese enchilada, and a chili relleno. Not the fanciest locale, but helpful, friendly service and a super convenient location makes this one of our favorite Mexican restaurants nearby.

This place is pretty good. I've been here before with friends. I do feel bad for Doctorfeelucky's review though. I just wanted to mention they don't tell salsa for you because their is a salsa bar where you serve yourself. And they didn't come pick up your check because you pay at the register. But i cannot defend the meal they made you. Because there's no way i could know that. I usually get the tamales here. Or if i feel like having a meal for later i get a burrito. They are pretty large and incharge.

CielLindo has the potential of being the best Mexican restaurant around. However I don't think they know their potential. I stop going there cause they don't know how to make a deep fried chimichanga. If anyone in Santa Maria knows how to make a deep fried chimichanga I will eat there every week.

The grilled chicken nachos were great, but at the bottom of the plate I found plastic that looks like it came off of a sour cream container.

Food is very tasty, especially the steak tacos and burritos! Service was ok. The young waitress was putting her fingers in her mouth and then touching chips that she was serving people. She had her hands in her mouth multiple times, picking her teeth during our visit and was also refilling drinks and serving plates of food immediately after. Something unsanitary for them to consider.

Iv had 2 different burritos from this restaurant. Carne asada and a wet chimichanga. First time iv seen a Mexican food spot do a chimichanga wet, average. The carne asada burrito - meat was over salted.

Went to this restaurant for the first time today. Overpriced for marginal food. The salsa tasted like a marinara. There was no seasoning on the food. Very bland food. Uninteresting with little to no spiciness. Not a repeat.

Ordered a family pack online and when I arrived I was told it would be a little while. I waited about 5 minutes and it seemed the worker was getting impatient and insisted that I take the bag of food that had been sitting there since before I arrived. When I asked him how fresh the food was he simply said "it's the same thing as what you ordered, take it and go". Well folks it was terrible, cold, and soggy and I shall not return. The cheese in the cheese enchilada wasn't even melted in the slightest. The tacos fell apart due to soggy shells. I like hot fresh food so I'm not happy.

The young girl and the guy with glasses both waitresses were flirting with each other and took them a LONG time to go check up on us And to top it off we were forced to tip or got threatened that if we didn’t tip they were automatically going to charge us the tip that they definitely did not deserve

Very bad service . None alcoholic Margaritas are very bad sirup and sprite not good mix. We ask fir appetizers outdoor and server got us some chips not tasty and i ask after for appetizers acannot order yet. This is first restaurant that i cannot order . We ask to change the none alcoholic margaritas for beer and their awnser it was that we have to paid for their margaritas wich i never decline to pay for it , but a list make sure you change the recepy very bad. The servers dont care at all. I ask for my bill and left better dervice were i come from LA , never been treated like this . They dont care about cusmer service since i work o. The industry . Very very dissapointed

RUDE!!!! We ordered something from the menu and the guy on the phone told us that they don’t have it available so they made a suggestion that is similar to it. We agreed to it. They never put that order in and then argued with us saying that we never agreed to get it and we shouldn’t complain since they never charged us. I told them that we don’t even know since they didn’t give us a receipt for it and the math isn’t adding up. He then was upset saying that I tried ordering something they don’t have and this is my fault. When I told him that it is from their menu that they have online and at their restaurant and no where on there does it say it’s no longer available. He finally said that he will make the food even if it’s our fault but we will be charged. I don’t mind paying for it so I said ok, but he continued to say that this is my fault and not theirs and we shouldn’t expect things for free (I never asked for it to be free). At this point, I just hung up. Wherever the miscommunication was, ok I understand… but he really did not want to help and once he did he was really rude about it.

Very dissatisfied, unfortunately. The salsa taste like canned tomato sauce and I ended up getting sick and barfing when I got home. Also, bathrooms are gross and oddly designed. Overall staff was nice but the food is mediocre, way better options in Santa Maria for quality Mexican food.
