Opinions de Giavannis Pizza & Pasta Orcutt
Giavannis Pizza in Orcutt has quickly become one of my favorite Sunshine Poker League spots. They play poker on Monday and Wednesday nights, and the vibe is exactly what our league is about — friendly people, zero ego, and plenty of laughs. Everyone there makes you feel welcome right away. And the garlic bread? Unreal. You might come for the cards, but you’ll stay for that and the pizza. If you’re in Orcutt and want good food, good company, and a fun, relaxed poker night, Giovanni’s is the place to be on Mondays and Wednesdays.
They offer a really nice lunch special that is affordable. Even though I am not able to eat much it is still worth it. Lunch buffet of pizza, pastas, garlic French bread and a drink for just $12.00 And the food is good!
My wife and I had a very nice experience at Giavanni's Pizza. We both had a small salad and then the lunch buffet. The buffet comes with a drink and they usually have two pizzas and there are each made half and half so there are a lot of different toppings. They also have pasta with Alfredo sauce and pasta with marinara. They also set out French bread and everything has a really good flavor. Bonus that they serve the Coca-Cola products so we each had diet Coke. The staff was polite and friendly and kept our tables cleared off and took really good care of us.

Food was so good it was a surprise. They were busy with several large groups. However. There were several booths and small group tables available. Our food came out quickly and I liked that it was brought to the table as it came out of the oven. While we did not get our food at the same time, it was brought out hot and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere is more like a casual, community pizza place and less like a restaurant. Again, food was excellent. Best meatball sandwich we've had in a long time.
Delicious pizza, calzone and boneless wings. Reasonable prices!
The new owner is very nice. We went during a $15 buffet that also had a free comedy show later that night and they were EXTREMELY BUSY but the owner was kind enough to throw in a couple cheese pizzas for the buffet line when we requested even though she was absolutely slammed busy.
Great pizza! Especially the fact that it was all you can eat, and they had a comedy show. Briefly met one of the owners who was super kind as well. Was my first time and I'll be back.

Gio’s has been my favorite since I was a kid. 5 star. The only problem I’ve had for awhile is that the pasta at the buffet is always lukewarm/semi-cold when they bring it out. It doesn’t matter what time I show up. Just an FYI if the owner reads this.

I have been going to this place since the 90’s, and it’s always been great. Recently, I went with my sister and all of our kids, and it was better than ever! The service was great, the pizza was fantastic, and the owner even came out to greet us. My only suggestion would be to add little itty bitty corn dogs to the appetizer menu. 😉
The food was great, but the atmosphere gives Chuckee Cheese vibes. I was in a childlike environment, good for kids. A lot of them were running around.
Not bad, ordered pizza for the fam and thought it was pretty good plus the kids were happy so no complains here. :)
It's a good busy pizza shop with a decent cauliflower crust pizza.
This place has great pizza and has fresh salad. You are able to reserve an are for large groups. We had a group of about 30. Everyone had plenty to eat and drink. They have video games area to keep children occupied and big screens to watch games.

Went in to buy a pie & wings. Atmosphere was quiet, full of white folks. Service was slow to react to our presence but the food made up for it, as it was very good & tasty.
So, I had been here before a long time ago, I remember they had a designated time for all you can eat pizza. But I was not impressed. Anyway, like I said, that was a long time ago. So recently, I heard a few people say this was the best pizza they ever had. Which was a surprise to me because of the past experience I had. But then I thought, well, maybe their all you can eat pizza isn't as good as their regular pizza. So my hubby and I decided to go to this place and figure it out once and for all. We ordered the chicken Alfredo a la Carte and a medium 3 topping pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and spicy ham. The wait wasn't too bad. The Alfredo came out first with garlic bread. We asked for ranch dressing, and apparently, it cost money. Which we didn't mind paying. It just would have been nice to know while we were ordering, so we didn't have to go up to the register again. Alfredo was ok. Then our pizza came out. But they didn't give us any plates, and we didn't feel like having to go up to the register again, so we just shared the basket that they gave us for the garlic bread as a make shift plate. The pizza was just ok, too. It was definitely better than the all you can eat pizza that I had years ago. But, if I had to come back here again, maybe I would try a sandwich or something else.
We ordered a couple of calzones. Bread, cheese, "pepperoni" and marinara sauce. It was good. Unfortunately, there was simply too little filling (cheese and pepperoni. I counted one piece of pepperoni in the calzone for which I paid 1.50) to declare this good. I basically paid for bread and sauce. So disappointing.

I ordered ravioli and waited and waited. Found out my meal was sitting on the warmer without being notified. Ended up with lukewarm ravioli, a sauce like paste and bread that was hard as bricks. Not up to their normal excellent
It’s impossible to ever get a hold of anyone for a pick up or delivery if you do get lucky the pizza is great!

This was my first time to the all you can eat buffet at 11:30am. There were around 15 people. The buffet only had a couple of medium pizza’s, pasta was not hot. The wait between for new pizzas was long. Not impressed at all with the service. Very disappointed.
I had a very disappointing experience. The service was extremely poor, and the person who answered the phone was rude. She made me repeat my entire order, only to hang up on me. This is unacceptable and very frustrating as a customer.
Have been eating here 40 years. Ordered Sunday. Food was horrible. Ordered Extra large pepperoni and Chicken Parmigiana around 5. The pizza was nasty. They changed pizza sauce. Was bland and nasty instead of the zesty herb sauce. Barely any cheese. I worked in restaurant 20 years. Mozzarella cheese was cheap mozzarella that doesn't melt white. Crust had no flavor or salt. Pizza was really bad. Chicken Parmigiana was dry and no marinara. My family rarely have leftovers from Giavannis. Tonight kids didn't eat half food. Was garbage. Definitely not worth 50 dollars. Consistency is number 1 in food business. As a 40 year customer who supported your business. I'm pissed very disappointed and probably won't order here again
Pizza is was ok. My gift card wasn’t working I checked the balance before it still has credit, but still couldn’t redeem it. Probably a last time for me.
Went at 6:30 pm on Friday. The place was half full, yet there were tables that hadn't been bussed, so seating was limited. Waited an hour and 45 minutes for a bowl of spaghetti and two sandwiches. They were out of iced tea, parmesan cheese and had no clean forks. We went to the counter to ask for some to eat our meal, and the forks they gave us had not been washed. We eventually asked for the meal to go. By the time we left, half the tables were stacked with dirty dishes and pizza boxes from folks who had left 45 mins ago. In the end, the food was marginal at best. We'll never go back. Clearly there are some major staffing and management problems there.
