I've waited a while to try this place and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Honestly if i can try multiple items and be completely happy with everything, it's remarkable. the sausage sampler was great, the morcilla especially was very flavorful and moist. The stuffed chicken was by far my favorite, it was quite balanced and delicious. The churrasco was tender and flavorful, all of the pork was very tender, with crispy skin and all of the sides were good, especially the pastelle. Both desserts were good but I'd strongly recommend the bread pudding. Johan was attending and informative, very good service.
There's not much to say about this place except for...they got it right. From menu selection and flavors to decor and service. Priced accordingly and the fusions are extraordinary! The service was on point and they had knowledgeable and served with pride in their menu. We had fun and ate well. The portions are great too. But the best experience were in fact those mentioned fusions! Give this a try!!
Hands down best Puerto Rican food I’ve ever had 🤤 and I’m usually not the biggest fan of Puerto Rican food. The service was great and we ended up going at 6pm on a Wednesday. We had the place to ourself until 7pm when other people started rolling in. I will DEFINITELY be back for more! Lastly, their house made hot sauce that’s a cream color was filled with flavor and had a nice heat to it but nothing crazy in regards to hotness.
We’ve been to Crocante three times now, and every single visit has been perfect. The food is unreal easily some of the best Spanish/Puerto Rican dishes you’ll find in Orlando. That’s the reason we keep coming back. But the service is what takes it over the top. Our waiter, Johan, has taken care of us twice, and he’s exceptional. Attentive, friendly, and on point without ever hovering. You can tell he actually cares. This place is an absolute five-star spot. Incredible food, amazing service, great energy. Highly recommend!!
We heard about this restaurant from "Somebody Feed Phil" and we were so impressed! We had a great server who had just served Phil and his family a few weeks prior when Phil returned to the restaurant. We ordered the "bistec encebollao" eggrolls for an appetizer, the roti kan kan, and the arroz crocante. Everything was excellent and we're already talking about making a trip back to Orlando to go again!
Well well well !!! After my beloved Achiote closed down I’ve been in a drought for some great Puerto Rican food. My boy sent me a link to this place and I was on my way. It’s very unassuming from the outside but once you open the door ! You’re home !!! Took a min or two but once we were greeted and seated this turned out to be exactly what we were missing ! The flavors were so well balanced, the drinks were on point and the service (especially by Johan) was nothing short of amazing. Shouts out to him for a stellar job waiting on me and my family and his recommendations. I’d normally keep this place to myself but they’re already pretty well known so no need to stifle. We even ran into the manager from Achiote who now works here. Small world indeed but truly happy once I saw her because I knew the food would be banging. We live in Davenport and drove here to try, just know I’d happily take the hour drive again ! My only complaint is that they didn’t have a true pepper sauce on hand (but that’s for me). Hoping to patronize this place for a long time to come !!!
My Puerto Rican Dining Experience🇵🇷 As soon as I opened the door, I was enveloped by the mouthwatering aroma of delicious, crunchy pork that ignited all my senses. It felt like stepping into a warm embrace, and I couldn't help but smile. The decor was beautifully inviting, and everyone around me was radiating joy as I strolled to my table—made me feel like I was on a runway! 😄 We were seated at the charming circular booth in the back, where our server Eileen greeted us with a bright smile. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and she eagerly shared details about the dishes and cocktails. We kicked off our meal with the famous piña colada and coquito shots, which were the perfect start to our culinary adventure. The appetizers were a delightful symphony of flavors and textures, each dish balanced beautifully. It was my mom's first time trying Puerto Rican food, and she was absolutely enchanted! When the main courses arrived, each dish was not only delicious but also thoughtfully executed—served at the perfect temperature, with generous portions, and bursting with flavor. We paired our meal with a delightful bottle of red wine, which complemented the food perfectly. And dessert? Oh, the tembleque was out of this world! It was light and creamy, topped with toasted coconut flakes that added a wonderful crunch. My daughter chose from the kids' menu and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions—nothing greasy or overly salty, just perfectly satisfying. I left feeling full and happy, and I can't wait to return! If you're looking for authentic Puerto Rican food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended! 🌟
Wow! Phil was right. I came because I saw this on “Somebody Feed Phil” and he bragged on the crispy pork. Had to try it. I was so pleased that it was wonderful. The pork was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Served with some fried belly that was great too. I got the beans on the side…more of a soup that could be a meal all by itself. Flavors were complex and savory. Johan served me and he was so helpful, explaining the dishes and helping me decide what to order. Now for cost. Sure it isn’t cheap, but when you get something this good that is made from scratch it is worth it. The love and work that went into my meal was obvious. They deserve what they charge…and isn’t that really what is important. Try it. Support local. Be the reason they cook! ..and thank you Phil
The Best Puertorican Restaurant in Florida, our server Johan was amazing he explained to us all the menu and the concept to perfection and we follow all of his recommendations and i’m Glad with did. The place is very comfy and the food was EXCEPCIONAL. The Porchetta is the star of the place but everything else was amazing!!
Absolutely loved it! Food was authentically delicious! I felt like I was abuelitas house! Johan was our server and he made us feel at home!
Quite delicious bites of Puerto Rican food. Location is beautiful and the staff is friendly and helpful. Food is puertorrican based with slight personal touches. Very tasteful, and surprisingly soft tender meats (even chicharrón). Portions tent to be on the bigger size, be ready to ask for boxes 😁
My first time at Crocante Restaurant and it did not disappoint. Ordered a Guava Margarita and it was delicious better than expected. Then I ordered the chicharrón, tostones, white rice and beans. Everything was so delicious & yummy. My type of comfort food any day of the week. Staff was especially courteous, and helpful with the menu. Atmosphere was great with lively music, clean and spotless all around. Will definitely be coming back with my family next time in Orlando.
Stopped by Crocante and tried their signature porchetta — absolutely delicious! The flavor was rich and perfectly balanced, with that crispy roti kan kan and pancetta adding the perfect crunch and depth. Every bite felt thoughtful and well-prepared. On top of the great food, the service was just as impressive — friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Definitely a spot worth coming back to if you’re looking for something flavorful and satisfying!
My first time coming to the restaurant, I had to wait 20 minutes, although it was Not a problem I was not aware that you had to make a reservation so I figured the food must e worth the wait and boy was I surprised it was amazing . I had the chicken wrapped with bacon and stuffed with plantain was mouthwatering. It was so good. That I came back the next day actually today and I ordered the same thing but two instead of one I wanted My Son to taste the most beautiful food I’ve ever had in a long time. So thank you Chef for making great food. I’ll put a picture of the appetizers I had
We've known about Crocante for a while and we've been intrigued by their signature porchetta, but since it is 70 miles from home it took us a while to take the plunge. We are so glad that we did. It was a perfect date night... Johan T. our server was fantastic, he was friendly, professional, engaging, and attentive at all of the right times. His recommendations were spot on and added to the overall experience. The food was simply fantastic, FANTASTIC! We do not typically eat large meals so we shared everything; the alcapurrias as an appetizer, a side salad, the arroz Crocante and the famed house porchetta. It was a perfect dinner with explosions of flavor that pleased with every bite. The arroz Crocante is filled with interesting textures and more interesting flavors: savory with hints of spice and crunch. The Roti Kan Kan porchetta is a work of art, a perfect sphere of white and dark pork meat in a swirl of spices encased in a shiny, crispy, shattering crackling crust that is bursting with the flavors you desire. It was amazing. And frankly the value was a wonderful surprise. This will be a destination restaurant for us for a long time to come.
We had an excellent experience! The food and drinks were outstanding, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the service was exceptional. Our server, Caroline, was attentive, friendly, and truly made the experience even better. Highly recommend! Amazing place, better than I expected!
We stopped here for a late dinner and it was a big hit for parents and the kids. Wish we could have tried even more. Incredible menu including great drink options. Johan was our server and took great care of us. He made us feel welcome, gave us great recommendations, and never rushed us. If you are in Orlando, Crocante cannot be missed!
Delicious! From the food, drinks, drinks and dessert Crocante made this an amazing experience for our team meeting. You walk into the restaurant and are immediately greeted and welcomed, the restaurant itself has beautiful murals and light music playing in the background. We had a mix of magical dining and the regular menu, every single meal was full of flavor and love. Our waiter Johan was very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend!
Absolutely loved my experience at Crocante! The churrasco was buttery and perfectly cooked, melting with every bite. The tostones were on point , crispy on the outside, soft inside. The arroz con gandules instantly transported me straight to Puerto Rico. Our server Johan was excellent ,friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out fast . You can really taste the love and authenticity in every dish. I’ll definitely keep supporting this spot. It’s a little piece of the island right here in town! 🇵🇷
Johan was great! I am Puerto Rican and have been looking for a place with authentic flavors and finally found it!! The pasteles soup is next level!! They also have vegetarian options!! The tamarind mojito 10/10 definitely coming back with my friends!
10/10! This restaurant ambiance, decoration and food were so delicious. I would come back here again. We had exceptional service by Johan and his team. Will be back
Drove 2 hours after watching Fedd Phil in Netflix and it was totally worth it. George took care of us like family and the food was super excellent. I recommend everyone to visit if they are missing that Latino flavor.
Why did we wait so long to get here? This was our first visit and it will not be our last. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the alcapurrias which are cubes of deliciousNess. Double chicharron mofongo and the pastelon burger.
I couldn't say it was the best, because the whole experience was wonderful, all the food was amazing, from appetizers, dishes, drinks and desserts, it was my first time here, but it surely won't be the last 😍😍 Johan's attention and service!!! WOW! It was excellent, he was very kind and professional, he explained and described all the dishes we asked him about, he gave us recommendations and had a great knowledge of the entire menu, the facilities are super beautiful, everything is nice and super clean! 100/100! 💯😍 Thank you so much!
Incredible food, especially the Roti Kan Kan, the Pancetta Crocante and the steak chimichurri. The guava cheesecake and the tres leches are amazing. Johan took great care of us, will definitely be back.
Amazing food, the service was incredible, Johan was knowledgeable about the menu, his recommendations was just what we were looking for. I’ll come back to try different plates!! Way to go!!!
best Puerto Rico food every, porchetta was too die for, pork chunks fantastic and creme leches was devine as were sides and appetizers. Can't wait to return
Went there right before heading to the airport. Drinks fabulous, service fabulous. The food was excellent excellent except my boyfriend loves hot food and our rice was warm. Ok for me...not quite for him. Otherwise 100/10 . I have already recommended place to my Florida friends. Definitely a place I will return to.
Loud. I do it recommend sitting in the back. That said- the food is amazing. The stuffed chicken was moist. The bacon was perfectly crisp. The fries are well seasoned and the home made hot sauce (not too hot) was delicious. The fried steak empanada with the egg was delicious and huge. Well try the non-breaded next time. The chimichurri on the churrasco steak was cooked perfectly and a new favorite. Highly recommend this place.
We came here for magical dining and had a great time. Our server Johan was so nice and made the entire experience so fun. The food was delicious as were the drinks.
We've enjoyed dinner here several times - the food is always delicious and well presented. The staff is helpful and friendly, and are always happy to try and answer questions. If you like pork, you are going to love it. If you don't like pork, don't worry there are other options too. The restaurant is spacious, and very clean. Seating options include booths, chair/table, and high top tables. Temperature was comfortable, and the lighting is nice.
Food was divine, absolutely stunning and delicious! Presentation, service, atmosphere, it was amazing. The Ceviche Kan Kan was so flavorful, and dont even get me started on the Tripleta wrap!!! For drinks, get the Barrilito Old Fashioned, it hits all the right notes. Also, make sure to save room for dessert... So if you're considering this restaurant, don't think about, just go, you won't regret it!
I can not say enough good things about this restaurant. It was our first visit, so we didn't know what to expect. The food was spectacular. I knew the moment my plate arrived that there was a trained chef in the kitchen. The service was perfect... friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Guillermo is a great server! Thank you for a wonderful experience, Guillermo, we will be back. You are very good at what you do. The manager checked on us twice and showed how much they care about your experience. 10 stars 🌟 🤩
When I say not one thing disappointed, I mean it. The porchetta was tender and flavorful, and had this perfect crispy skin. And the pastele and tostones on the side were both cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Also had the shrimp mofongo with garlic sauce. The mofongo was the perfect texture and the shrimp was succulent. We also had the “Bistec Encebolla” Eggrolls ( Steak, crispy onions, salsa verde). They were recommended by the waitress and a pleasant surprise! And our waitress, Carolay, was so friendly and had great recommendations. I told her I'd be back on my next Orlando trip. The atmosphere is modern and tasteful; the restaurant very clean and inviting. Loved everything about my experience here. Thankful for Somebody Feed Phil's recommendation. Worth every calorie!
Came the first time for magical dining month and it was a tremendous experience. The pancetta was insanely good. Our server Johan was amazing and gave us great recommendations. I can’t wait to make this a regular spot
Beautiful puertorican restaurant that offers a variety of flavors for most people. The food is deliciously well seasoned and their array of specialty drinks is impressive. Once one visit crocante, it will become a recurring culinary experience. Their catering services are fairly prized and of equal quality of sit down meals. We recently hosted a home party and used their catering services. Our guests were most impressed with their starship plate of “arroz crocante” with pernil and a side of “pasteles” topped with flan and their house sangria.
I recently ate at Crocante Restaurant after first learning about it on Somebody Feed Phil, and I’m really glad I finally got to try it. I ordered the shrimp mofongo with creamy garlic sauce, and it was excellent — very flavorful and well prepared. Our waiter, Johan was friendly, helpful, and accommodating, which made the experience even better. Overall, the food and service were both great, and everything felt high quality. I would definitely return and would recommend giving it a try.
Johan our waiter was amazing!!! We went to celebrate my father’s bday. We had the Empanada, Shrimp and the Carne Guisada. Everything was tasty like puertorican food done right!! Definitely coming back!!!
Me my husband, daughter and son in law went to Crocante Restaurant to celebrate our 36-yr anniversary! I had stuffed chicken breast arroz condules. My husband and daughter had churrasco chimichurri mofongo and son-in-law had the porchetta. Dessert was cinnamon raisin bread pudding and tres leches coquito. The food and desserts were extremely good! Our waiter Johann was very attentive and explained any questions we had about the menu. He was very nice, and we enjoyed our conversation with him. We highly recommend this restaurant.
I was recommended this place by family and Crocantes did not disappoint. The atmosphere was great and the food was beyond excellent. The alcapurrias were cooked to perfection and had a great meat to dough ratio. We also had the double chicharrón mofongo and the bori-cuban sandwhich. The meat was very tender and well seasoned. The mofongo was not dry and the sandwhich had the right amount of sauce so as not to leave you with a big mess or soggy bread. Can't wait to go back and try some other dishes. Also a shout out to our waiter Jorge who was very welcoming and attentive. Highly recommend.
Absolutely amazing experience at Crocante Restaurant! From the moment we sat down, the service was outstanding. Our server Johan was truly wonderful….so attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. Every recommendation he made was spot on, and you could tell he genuinely cared about us having a great dining experience… The food was incredible across the board….fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Everything Johan suggested turned out to be fantastic, and we loved trying his recommendations. You can really taste the quality and love put into each dish….Great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere, and the live music was the cherry on top. We’ll definitely be back and will be asking for Johan again……Highly recommend! Hidden GEM!!
From the moment I walked in, I know it was going to be on memorial experience and I'd like to say it didn't disappoint. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service was great and the food was beyond excellent. Started off with some Piña Colada with Baileys, for appetizers queso frito con guayaba (fried cheese with guava) some chicharrón(fried pork rinds) with a crunchy skin and the rest once in your mouth was as soft as butter truly unbelievable. Main course was the Roti Kan Kan spectacular and the stuffed chicken breast with plantain wrapped in bacon both came with delicious creamy garlic sauce. This is definitely the place to go if you want a romantic atmosphere or want to impress or just to chill and have a decent dinner and a couple of drinks. Overall you will not be disappointed, this will be my new favorite place to go, definitely worth every penny. This is the first time in 20 years that I give 5 star across the board. Keep up the good work Crocante Restaurant..
Crocante is a authentic puertorrican food with a different flair . We have been three times and have tried different plates. Our favorite appetizers are the alcapurrias topped with pork and chimichurri sauce and the chicken longaniza. One evening I tried ‘sopa de pastel’ , it was delicious. The mofongo is very good also. They serve good quality meats and fish. The food is tasty and well seasoned but not overpowering. So you can taste all the flavors. Service is great. In our last visit, Johan was our server and he did excellent. The restaurant has a comfortable setting and has a full bar. Keep the good work !
Super good casual restaurant with Puerto Rican Caribbean fusion. The classic food like rice, beans, tostones were great. The Porchetta was amazing just the right mix of tender meat with a spectacular crunchy cuero or crackling for those of you wondering. The service for our party of 7 Johan was so knowledgeable about the dishes and was super patient with us as we made decisions and guided us to what each person was looking for. A bit pricey for casual dining but the food or service did not disappoint. Definitely will return.
A good experience for puertorican dish. The meals are executed at high level with good ingredients. You will experience meals at it beat authentic flavor. Its a great place to have your meal.
Good Puerto Rican food. A bit overpriced for but you pay for quality. We tried the blood sausage among other items and it was amazing! Go give it try for yourself! I am definitely going back for several orders of the house made blood sausage
The food was amazing, I really enjoyed everything!! The beef stew, the steak with onions, arroz con habichuelas, and the fried sweet plantain were delicious. The desserts were nice too, the tres leches cake, coconut sorbet, and the flan. The one I liked the most was the tres leches! The only reason I’m giving 4 stars and not 5 is that the wait time for the food was so long, we waited 35 minutes for the food to arrive, but for the rest it was good.
The place is big, and nicely decorated. We were greeted right away. The food is good, small portions price is a little on the high side.
The atmosphere is nice and the service was great, as we met friends for a late lunch to beat the dinner crowd over the weekend. It was out first visit. The restaurant is in a strip mall with ample parking. The food however was just average. Especially for the price. It wasn't bad it just didn't make my husband or I say "wow, this is great!" My husband is Cuban and this is Puerto Rican cuisine so while they are different we are certainly familiar with Spanish food in different variations. In fact, I happen to love Spanish food. I will say the restaurant was very clean which is always important to me if you've read any of my other reviews. We would go back but only if our friends suggested it again because this wasn't their first time and they seem to enjoy it.
I saw this place on TikTok and was really excited to try it, so we drove over an hour to visit. There were two of us. We started with the chicharrón, which was actually quite good. I asked our server for recommendations, and he suggested the porchetta; one of their most popular dishes and the roast chicken. We ordered both to share, along with a side of arroz grandules and sweet plantains. While the chicken was well seasoned, we were extremely disappointed with the porchetta. It lacked flavor and was very chewy. After one bite, we didn’t want to continue eating it. What truly made this a disappointing experience was the service. Even though the restaurant wasn’t busy, we felt neglected by our waiter. When we explained that we simply didn’t care for the porchetta, he appeared offended and repeatedly tried to convince us that it was their most popular dish and that “everyone likes it.” He kept insisting that we take it home, despite us clearly stating multiple times that we didn’t want it. There was no table touch or effort to address our concerns, and the dish was not removed from the bill. Instead, the waiter seemed more focused on pushing us to take home a dish we didn’t enjoy, which ultimately made the experience feel uncomfortable and frustrating.
