Our dinner reservation at June was phenomenal! We had a 6pm reservation on the patio and the weather was perfect for a date night outside. The patio isn’t too crowded (the tables are properly spaced apart from each other in my opinion), the music wasn’t too loud, and they had a nice playlist playing too. Despite sitting outside and farther away from the bar/kitchen, the staff was incredibly attentive to us and made sure we were well taken care of. Our waitress, Penelope, was amazing! She was very knowledgeable of the menu, helped us to understand how ordering our food works since it was our first time, and she gave incredible recommendations for food and drinks. She checked in on us a perfect amount of times - not too much or too little. When it came to closing our check, she showed us the screen on her device and had us make sure everything looked correct before we were charged which I really appreciated considering how they use devices vs printed checks. We ordered the Crudo Tuna, Avocado and Sauces, the Wagyu Beef Tostadas, and the Coconut Cake. All of these items were perfect for sharing and we didn’t feel like we overate after finishing everything between the two of us. The Crudo Tuna was perfectly balanced. We ate it like we would for Nigiri Sushi, all in one bite, and the flavor profile was amazing! Would highly recommend. The Avocado and Sauces was the most filling part. If we had shared it between 3 or 4 people total we probably would’ve had more room to try more items on the menu, which isn’t a bad thing, but I would note the size of it before you order. Each of the sauces it comes with have a different spiciness level and taste. They are all unique and we enjoyed each of them! The Wagyu Beef Tostadas were fantastic. I would compare it to Carpaccio for the texture/consistency. I’m looking forward to trying the other tostada options when we come back again! The Coconut Cake was good. My partner enjoyed it more than I did, but I still think it was good overall! The coconut flakes are massive and I’ll admit that the dish comes across like it’s simply crumbled/sliced pound cake with sauce and toppings added on top. We kinda wish the cake had been a bit more moist, but it was still good overall! We will definitely be trying their other desserts next time to see how they compare. Lastly, the drinks were good overall, but we are going to explore some of the signature cocktails for our next visit vs adding a shot of tequila to the Frescas options. We are curious to try more complex flavors compared to what we ordered. We very much look forward to coming back to June for dinner sometime! Note that with tip and tax included, you will likely spend between $55-$70 per person at a minimum at this location, but the quality of the food and service is worth it in my opinion!
My gf booked this restaurant for my birthday dinner since she knew I wanted something chill and new. This place used to be old graffiti junction. I will first start with the atmosphere and service. Atmosphere: if you know old graffiti junction, the new bar still in the same old spot haha. But everything was completely redone. So you are looking for a chill upbeat experience where you can talk among your friends, enjoy a good time, and that takes you away from Orlando for a little bit, June has a done a good job with the new ambience feelings like you are in the coastal of Europe like in Ibiza. Great music. Hopefully they will bring a live dj for the weekend brunches. Very detailed with the decorative, and they did a great job with the spacing of the tables. This place was packed and there was no table available but yet it felt so open. Anyway I m wondering how the patio will work out during the hot summer nights. 5/5 Service: Our waiter was amazing! You can train on skills but you can’t train on attitude. You can tell he loves his jobs by his demeanors. Also Great job on the restaurant training the waiters staff because I asked some tough questions about certain food and how it was made. He knew the answers and he provided me his recommendations and he said he tried everything. First time I have heard in a while that a waiter has tried everything in the menu. We took his recommendations and more. He was managing between 5-7 tables and still managed to check in on us for drinks and to see how we were doing. The support staff was great too, attentive to clear our tables and making sure our water was refilled. 5/5 Food: So we were there for the dinner and we were focused on trying to the sharing tapa plates. I was surprised how limited food options were but I understand when you are new. Most of these small plates are designed for 1 or 2 people. We will go back to try the bigger sharing plates like the smoked short ribs. So we ordered the crude, all 3 tostadas (waygu beef, lump crab, and tuna), avocado with all the salsas options, fried chicken , and coconut cake. The tostadas: the best one was lump crab cakes - super yummy not salty and well balanced. The wagyu beef was good. Would I order it again? Neh. Also I didn’t care for the tuna tortada. Avocado guacamole with all the salsas options were amazing. Great fresh Salsa options and I definitely did a few combos with them lol the Crudo was pretty good. They did a good job on teaching you how to eat it so you can get the experience. The only thing that I was disappointed was the Fried chicken. My expectation was it would be big chunk fried chicken pieces and there would be a dipping sauce on the side. Instead, they tossed it with the fried Chicken nuggets and it tasted like an orange chicken to me. The charred pineapples were nice added touch. The coconut cake dessert was very sweet for my taste and the cake itself was very dry but I think it was done on purpose so you can dip it with the cream. I did enjoy the lime cream though. I will try the caramel creme next time. Great drinks that they have. The drinks were pretty strong especially the espresso martini made with tequila. So let’s start with the cost. The place is definitely not a $ ; especially for the type of food. It is priced just a bit under Miami prices. So I want to make sure expectations are set correctly especially if you are looking to get full from 1 or 2 dishes, this place is not it. This is a place where you want to bring a date or friends to hang out and share a bunch dishes. And You are paying for the ambience. I will have to lean towards a 4/5. The quality of food is great so it doesn’t deserve a 3. I think there is room for improvement to upgrade menu food choices and quantity. 4/5 This place has a lot potential since it is super unique for DT Orlando and it definitely raises the standards for an awesome ambience among their competitors. I can’t wait to try their brunch menus on weekend. I hope this place works out and always keeps improving.
Gorgeous ambiance and outstanding food. My partner said it was the best short rib he’s ever had (and we moved here from Texas!) Tim was a fantastic server, and the service overall was impeccable. Can’t wait to come back!
I finally made it here, it was random unplanned stop so I went light on what I ordered! My bartender/Server was Julio. he was a very pleasant gentleman had good conversation and fast service. I ordered 2 drinks and 3 plates. The food and drinks were good the atmosphere was chill and laid back, I was by myself so it was perfect at the bar! I will come back for a full dining experience!
Walked in around 5 on a Friday, no tables available inside but seated outside which was perfect. Service was solid and the food was spectacular. Solid portions to share a few dishes. Fish taco was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Beer and the Frescas were delicious. Parking is always tricky in the area, just pay for the garage if their lot is full, it’s literally $8. Will return with my gluten free friends!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Exceptional Twist on Mexican & Yucatecan Cuisine June Mexican Restaurant is a hidden gem just outside of downtown Orlando that absolutely blew us away. The food is nothing short of spectacular. We had the duck and short ribs, and both were off the charts, rich, bold, and packed with flavor. Every dish reflects the chef’s passion and attention to detail. Even though this place has only been open for about a month, it’s already running like a seasoned operation. Joe and Ashton, our servers, were outstanding friendly, knowledgeable, and completely in sync with the vibe of the restaurant. Despite being a Thursday night, the place was packed and not just because it’s new. People are coming for the food, the drinks, and the full experience. The cocktails were phenomenal and the atmosphere was both vibrant and relaxing. Whether you’re a business traveler or just visiting Orlando, June is worth the stop. You can enjoy a world class meal, grab a cocktail at the bar, or just soak in the great energy. It’s clear this restaurant is built on quality, not hype. Highly recommended this place is the real deal.
A wonderful dinner celebrating my birthday in Thornton Park. The restaurant decor is stunning, the cocktails are smooth, and the food is first-rate contemporary Mexican cuisine. You can’t go wrong with the AVOCADO with herbs and added salsas, charred pineapple and pickles, ESQUITES and CHICKEN AL PASTOR. Shout out to Andrew for his great service.
It’s been a long time since I’ve been genuinely impressed with a new restaurant! June exceeded my expectations. The service was so quick and friendly, the atmosphere both inside and on the patio is incredible! And the food was phenomenal. I still think about the meal that we had and we ate here over a month ago. They also have a cute little speakeasy type bar in the back that we have been meaning to check out!
Great food, drinks, and ambiance here! Came on Friday night during the soft opening when the restaurant wasn't taking reservations yet, and there was no wait for outdoor seating. Thought the summer night would be too hot but they had the ceiling fans going and it was a great vibe outside! The food was fantastic! We had the cornbread and the chicken for two -- the tortillas tasted super fresh, even homemade, and the chicken and its sauces were fantastic! The drinks were also great -- I had the banana and the pepper, which had some of the most unique flavors I've had in a drink. And lastly, the service was great -- staff were friendly and very attentive! It is great to see a place like this open in the area -- downtown has a lot of restaurants that try to double as lounges and party venues at night, and there aren't enough places that just stick to being chill restaurants at night -- so this is a welcome addition to the neighborhood!
Everything we had was delicious! The staff was super friendly & service was quick. I absolutely will be back! Most of the menu is gluten free!
June 📍Orlando New restaurant alert 🚨 Located in Thornton Park (the old graffiti junction) this restaurant specializes in wood fired contemporary Mexican cuisine! Not only was the food amazing, but it contains no seed oils, minimum refined sugar, and is a gluten free focused menu. A lot of the food items were shareable, so make sure you save this for your next girls night or date night out! Not only were the vibes immaculate, there was live music, and the customer service was exceptional. I cannot wait to go back!
Recently came here with my family for June’s soft opening and had an amazing time! EVERY dish was delicious & flavorful. Service as well was beyond excellent! Absolutely love Tim (amazing & refreshing drinks) and Angelina (super helpful & friendly). Would 1000% recommend and I will absolutely be returning soon!
I had the best time while visiting June! The food was incredible and everything was so delicious. I got to try so many different items and they were 10/10. I can’t wait to come back and try other menu items. The fried chicken, avocado platter, and cornbread was my favorite with the frescas hibiscus/strawberry. The staff were friendly and kind and provided recommendations on what we should get.
Loved this place so much! The atmosphere and music were amazing, I felt so comfortable as soon as I walked in. Everyone working was so kind, especially our server Sabrina she was amazing!!! She was very attentive and gave great recommendations. Words can’t even describe how yummy our food was and I’m definitely looking forward to come back.
Didn’t get a chance to try June but came across the most amazing host team. Yes.. this review is specifically for the host team as they went above and beyond trying to get us sat as walk ins. It’s very rare to come across a host team that’s so kind and wanted to work you in. We will be back next time with a reservation but just wanted to show appreciation.
So happy to have this place in the neighborhood!! Food was tasty, but the drinks and wine list were awesome. The vibe is right - swanky, upbeat atmosphere with lovely attention to detail. Highly recommend for a date night or just fun place to grab food/ drinks!
I’m not easily impressed when it comes to Mexican food. My husband is from Texas and we love Text Max. We’ve traveled to Mexico on numerous occasions and Find. The Tex-Mex and Mexican cuisine in Florida is seriously lacking. This restaurant was superb and I wish we lived closer.
Our waitress Natalia was excellent. She was very attentive, polite and professional. The Manager Joe was extremely nice and filled us in on their food, drinks and dessert!! He was very knowledgeable on how they make their delicious food!
Loved this place!!! Went there for the first time and it was awesome!! The food was so tasty and the bartenders were very talented . Everyone was so friendly! The place was adorable. Not very big, but beautifully decorated! I loved it and I can’t wait to go back!
June is such a beautiful spot in Thornton Park! The dishes seem to be a little small but definitely one of my go to spots for drinks and apps/tapas. Definitely make a reservation!!
Went for my wife's b-day. Andrew served us. From the get, I tell my wife: "I'm getting vibes here!" And wow, were we impressed. Food was incredible, Andrew guided us extremely well, ambiance was outstanding. "Default Date Night" type of place for us now after last night's visit. Truly fantastic. Can't wait to go again!
Ate here last night with a few girlfriends and we loved it! Everything we ordered was incredible: - Crudo is a must have, I would go back just for this and the short rib. - Ceviche was perfect. Loved the kiwi in it! - Cornbread was a great starter and the butter with it was great! - Salsa board with avocado was so fun and perfect for sharing - Short rib was the best I’ve had, also great for sharing! 3 of us split all of the above + cocktails which they said were great! Beyond the food, we had impeccable service from every person we came in contact with! The design choices were so chic, down to the plating. Can’t wait to go back!
Top 5 meal ever. Truly a wonderful experience. Food incredible, service incredible, atmosphere incredible. 100% raving about this as often as possible.
Drove all the way from Ontario Canada for New years and randomly picked this place. We honestly didn’t know what to pick but we had an amazing server (glasses young male said he was from Michigan)who helped us chose food!Wow and wow the food was so amazing. If I could I would give them ten stars. The avocado dip the tuna the corn bread the roast salad the coconut cake!!What an amazing place if we have the chance we will come back! The staff are so fast and attentive always there if you need anything and the decore of the place beautiful.Happy New years!!!
Best restaurant ever❤️❤️❤️❤️ everything that I ate at June’s was delicious, the short ribs OMG melted in your mouth and the seasoning is sooo good, the carrots, the salsas, tortillas, everything awesome. The service is amazing too, everyone is sweet and friendly. Thank you for the excellent food and service guys. Will be back for sure and will tell all my friends and family about it.
This place is amazing. We had the salsa board, tuna and the chicken, which the best we ever had (super moist and full of flavor!) Service was super. Staff was very pleasant and professional. Go check it out. Reservations are recommended.
We visited a month or so after they opened. Great spot and nice decor. We had a couple of appetizers and plan to try others in the future. They were good appz. The cocktails were good but weak. We like a punch in our cocktails. We went to a bar afterwards to get our cocktail fix taken care of. Overall this place is a great addition to our rotation.
Food was incredible! Diverse plates, great music, amazing service. Tim took great care of me and my party.
Our experience was amazing! Our server Angelina made it even more special. Food, Drinks and Vibes 10/10. Can’t wait to come back. (Still thinking about the short ribs)
Awesome atmosphere and great drinks. the lump crab, chicken Al pastor and cornbread were delicious, cucumber salad, can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Beef short rib next time! Cherry on top was the service from start to finish.
If you take nothing else from my review, take this- you absolutely must try the short-rib. It is nothing short of culinary genius. The bar menu is also super unique and the watermelon drink is so refreshing! I would recommend trying the lettuce salad and the masa dumplings. Service was also great, everyone was super friendly, great energy!
Omg the food is delicious!!!! Loved my cod taco !!!! I think that was the best taco I get had ❤️ mom enjoyed her chicken sandwich too! Lovely service 👍🏽 so happy we found this lovely restaurant ! Thank you
Great new restaurant at the heart of Thornton Park! Upscale but still cool and vibey. Mocktail juices made in-house are DELICIOUS. Everything order was tasty. Biggest highlights were: - Customer Service - Hibiscus Strawberry juice - Banana rum cocktail - Carrots (they will be the best carrots of your life guaranteed)
Dined this evening. Absolutely love this spot for the Eola/Thornton communites. Avocado + the salsas - amazing Chicken al pastor - amazing Great service, great drinks. So excited to come back!
From the moment we walked in, this restaurant delivered an unforgettable experience. Every dish we ordered was impressive and flavorful! This is elevated, modern Mexican cuisine with a bold, innovative twist. The ceviche and crudo was fresh and the perfect bite. The crab tostada had a a delicious butter herb mixed with the crab. The guacamole and salsa board deserves a special mention. Each salsa was deeply complex and perfectly balanced, showcasing a level of craftsmanship that speaks to the chef’s passion and attention to detail. For our main dish we had the grilled fish! This was amazing!! Perfectly grilled and paired with a delicious sauce. They provided tortillas, salsa, and a cabbage slaw to create tacos which made it interactive to eat with everyone at the table. And then there’s the service—attentive without being intrusive, genuinely warm, and clearly proud of the food they’re serving. Our server took the time to explain each dish and offered thoughtful pairing suggestions, which elevated the entire dining experience. Can't wait to come back!
Went here for the first time today and we ordered the fried chicken and fish. Everything was amazing and so flavorful. The service was excellent as well! The general manager came out apologizing for the long wait and gave us an extra appetizer and took one of our meals off of the bill. So sweet of him - we will definitely be coming back. Thank you :)
We absolutely loved this place! Whitney was our waitress and she was excellent! We tried both the wagyu and lump crab tostadas. 10/10. Guac was probably the best I’ve ever had. My husband enjoyed the chicken sandwich and I absolutely loved the short ribs. The cocktails were 10/10. I would recommend the pepper and the passion fruit marg! Our 4 year old son loved the deconstructed fried chicken. We definitely will be back for dinner in the future! Thank you Whitney for such a fantastic experience. Give this lady a raise! <3
Had an incredible meal here over the weekend. Can't praise highly enough how delicious the food was ; the duck, short rib, cabbage, sweet potatoes, corn, corn bread...even lettuce. They somehow manage to make everything feel like a celebration in your mouth. Go impress your friends or treat your loved ones and visit June. If you have no family or friends then go on your own! You won't regret it.
The food service and atmosphere were absolutely amazing! Sure, it might be a bit on the pricey side, but just think about the top-notch quality and the fantastic ambiance that truly make it a ten-star experience. I can't wait to tell everyone about it and I'm thrilled that Thornton Park has such a gem.
Best meal I have had in a restaurant in last two years! From the watermelon margaritas to the duck and chicken Al pastor, to the dessert or appetizers, it was just all delicious. Our waiter was attentive, atmosphere is great! Fantastic place!
Cute and tasty restaurant in Thronton Park. June has a variety of entree items and shareable menu items that are all good. I love the grilled avocado and the fish tacos. The drinks are good, the atmosphere is chic and the staff is polite. Don't miss the Brioche on Sunday!
As a mexican I am proud and I’m so impressed by this place. They highlight true Mexican ingredients like salsa macha, chayote, morita XO, and tepache in a refined, wood-fire, contemporary style. It’s elegant, creative, and still deeply rooted in culture. The mezcal selection is amazing, and huge thanks to Joe, the bar manager, for his great hospitality and knowledge. I recommend the chicken al pastor , corn bread and for drink the banana. Definitely A must-visit!
Went with two friends and loved everything. Our server Angelina was amazing and all the staff were so helpful and friendly. Literally one of my new fav spots. We had the tamale dumplings, roasted carrots, fried chicken and taco. Probably the best taco I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious. Let’s not forget the drinks. The flavors are beautifully crafted and may look small but are mighty. Can’t wait to go back!
We are in the rug room upstairs, attention to detail was evident, forest greeted us from the kitchen made us feel right at home , Tim treated us like old friends and gave excellent recommendations and service. Highly recommend giving this place a try. Duck confit and short ribs and tuna crudo are a must.
Orlando coming up in food scene!! This place is a don’t miss. Pro tip- don’t get the avocado with all the sauces as app. Get other sides then order avocado only with your meal. The menu seems hard to navigate at first but everything is delicious. Grab a couple items on upper part of menu, then do not miss on the wood fired mains!
Might be the best meal I've had this year. I visited with a few friends for my birthday. Admittedly, the menu is a little awkward and I wasn't really sure what to expect. In the end everything was great. I think we split 7 small plates between 4 people and ordered one of the large (for 2) plates and it was plenty of food. The large plates are definitely big enough for more than 2 people. The "short' rib (actually a big rib) was fantastic. I'll definitely be back.
Cant recommend this place enough. Forest the su chef came over and talked to us about the menu, absolutely amazing. Tim was our server for the evening. Attention to detail is very noticeable and I cant tell you how much I appreciate this place’s atmosphere.Fantastic. Love everything about this place
My group came for soft opening and every single thing was phenomenal. All the drinks tasted so extremely fresh, and the food doesn’t feel like you’re weighed down after eating. And the design is like night and day, they truly made the place so beautiful. Huge congrats to the team for June- this place is going to be a massive success
The food was truly exceptional, and we sampled dishes we might not have otherwise. I had never experienced carrots prepared in that manner before, and they were absolutely delicious. The duck was equally wonderful. Shannon, our server, was exceptionally kind and knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations were spot-on!
We went to dinner before the Benson Boone concert and we were celebrating some birthdays in our friends group. We made a reservation for a Tuesday night and sat on the beautiful patio/deck. Our server was attentive and kind, made awesome suggestions (both food and drink). The food was phenomenal! Next time we’re in the area, we’ll definitely be back! Thank you!
If you haven’t been for lunch yet - do it! Excellent service (our server was so sweet and knowledgeable), plus the food is so fresh and I love that you can trust that they use amazing ingredients. No seed oils! They have such an excellent curated menu and I am amazed every single time I come here. We ordered many new items and loved them all - the short rib and eggs along with the brioche toast (which has farmers cheese + agave) were so yummy. Can’t wait to come back!
Stopped to hang out with some friends and we decided to check this place out. Just a fantastic place to come and have a great meal. Unique flavors with terrific combinations. The food was not only tasty but was eye catching as well. (The cornbread is super cute). Each bite of food makes you want just another bite. The staff was awesome, made you feel welcomed, definitely made you feel like you made the right choice for dinner. Can't wait to come back and try something else on the menu.
New fav! We have a 4 month old baby and they are very accommodating. Penelope is our waitress and she is the best! Food is great as well. We got the cornbread, the crudo, short ribs 10/10,esquites,coconut cake and chocolate cake. Mocktails are great as well and my husband loved the pepper drink. Coming back again. Worth the price.
We had a fantastic date night at June last night. We started with two Frescas — I especially loved mine with passionfruit and lavender. We also shared the avocado, a fresh salad, and two delicious fish tacos. Everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere was charming, and the service was excellent. We had a great time!
You must try this place! I'm a hard one to please with finding good cuisine that I can't make at home and this one did it. Service and food and atmosphere all 10 out of 10. The Waygu Beef legit took me to a different place and my endorphins were at an all time high (and I don't eat raw meat!). The food was spaced out beautifully. My husband and I were so well cared for (10 Year Anniversary). The only recommendation I'd make it to leave us physical space to tip. The server was at our table for us to pay and I wanted to talk to my husband about how much to tip but felt awkward and just did the 20%! I later regretted doing only that and wish I tipped more!
I’m so excited to see that June has officially opened downtown Orlando! This place is a vibe all on its own, it’s something that Orlando needs. I came on the first day, soft opening and let me tell you. I felt as if they’ve been open for over a year. The customer service was a 10 out of 10 the experience of food and flavor was outstanding! Chef Nick came over to our table and introduced himself and asked us about our experience and give us a breakdown on the menu and also told us that the menu would continuously change throughout the seasons. My two favorite items on the menu are Mesa dumplings and Chayote . My two favorite drink options are the watermelon and pepper tequilas.
I very rarely write reviews for any restaurant. We visited here last evening with a group. I have to say that this has the most amazing and delicious food. The carrots are from actual heaven. The service was amazing. Each day it was beautifully put together and unique. The restaurant itself is beautifully built out and has a warm inviting atmosphere.
Finally, Mexican Flavors Done Right. 🥑 A breath of fresh air. This place isn't just another trendy Mexican spot it’s a bold, flavorful celebration of Mexican cuisine that respects your body. From the first bite, you can tell there’s something different here. Jasmine our server was incredible. Didn't feel like a soft opening, service was executed flawlessly. Definitely will be back
Me and my husband came here with our friends because they’ve been here before and they loved it.!!!!!We started with some great appetizers like the lobster tostadas the Wagyu tostadas . These things were recommended by Sabrina!!!!! Speaking of Sabrina , Sabrina gave us an extraordinary great service. She was so polite so knowledgeable of the menu and so patient with us. I would definitely say that she deserves a raise . I will say 11 out of 10 for this restaurant Sabrina made it perfect!!!
June in Orlando was absolutely incredible. From the moment we sat down, the service was outstanding. Julio truly made the experience exceptional — attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming. Jean and Charlie were amazing as well and added so much to the overall experience. The whole team made us feel taken care of from start to finish. The food was just as impressive. Every single dish was packed with flavor — bold, balanced, and so thoughtfully prepared. Nothing was bland or forgettable. Everything we ordered was amazing and full of depth. You could taste the quality and care in every bite. Between the incredible flavors and the top-tier service from Julio, Jean, and Charlie, it was easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Orlando. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!
First time visiting this Thornton Park gem in Orlando. We loved the look and feel of this restaurant. And the food was fantastic. Wood fired contemporary Mexican. And they had nice gluten free options for my lunch date. Try the lobster tostadas for sure. The short ribs are also delicious but on the rich side. I recommend sharing those. Next trip we will try the tempura fish tacos and the fun drink menu.
This place was simply amazing. The food, the drinks, the service, the decor and ambiance all fantastic! We ordered the corn bread with agave butter, Chayote, Hanger Steak, Tempora Fish Taco, Desert: Coconut Cake and Chocolate Cremosa. I ordered two drinks the Gin Pineapple and the Vodka Blackberry cocktails and they were both delicious. Would highly recommend this place.
First time dining at June today. Absolutely fantastic in every way. I guess I would describe it as a delightful blend of Mexican/Asian fusion. The atmosphere is gorgeous and inviting. Our server Andrew was great! Very attentive and had us laughing with his Dad jokes! The food is nothing short of spectacular. Extremely flavorful. we had the Waygu Tostadas, the frittata, the short rib and eggs, fish taco and fried chicken. All dishes ( except the short rib and eggs) were small plate style and perfect for sharing. A great way to sample a variety of dishes. The cocktails were AMAZING. (My fave is the Blackberry) Super fresh ingredients and very well balanced. Special shout out to Austin the GM. He made sure we were well taken care of! He’s an absolute gem! I honestly can’t remember the last time I’ve had such a fabulous dining experience! It’s rare for a restaurant to hit all the mark! June hit the all! Service, atmosphere and food are all top notch. We can’t wait to go back for dinner and to check out the Rug Room! And… the desserts…. OMG…. HEAVENLY! Definitely my favorite restaurant in Orlando right now. FIVE STARS!!
It was a great experience overall. We ended up sitting at the bar and our bartender was very engaging and attentive. The food itself was different, but was good. We thoroughly enjoyed the crab tostadas. Drinks were good but a little pricey. These short rib ribs were delicious but a little fatty. We would definitely recommend this place. It’s got a great location in Thornton Park. We will definitely go back with friends and family.
A pleasant place in downtown Orlando Excellent Latin fusion cuisine with excellent service. Despite being very crowded, the service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. The portions were small, tapas-style, except for the entrees which were a good size. Cocktails are recommended. The Wagyu tostadas and short ribs were extraordinary.
Overall it was a very pleasant experience. The service was great from everyone we talked to. From the bartender upstairs, door guys, server, food runners, etc. The food was great. No complaints there, though the cocktails were pretty plain and uninspired. Don't think I'd order cocktails here again, though their little upstairs bar is super nice. We got the avocado and salsa app, however the tostados came presented in a bowl of dehydrated beans that are clearly reused. A cute way to display them, but very unhygienic.
Yesterday, we tried this restaurant for the first time, and guess what—the food was absolutely delicious! The menu is a blend of Mexican and Yucatán cuisine, which made it feel unique and exciting. We were warmly greeted by our server, who recommended two drinks: a watermelon tequila cocktail and a hibiscus-strawberry drink. Both were refreshing and nicely balanced. For appetizers, we ordered bread served with avocado and herbs—simple but packed with flavor. For the main course, since I don’t eat beef, we went with the chicken al pastor. It was tender, perfectly seasoned, and just as satisfying as we hoped. For dessert, we chose the coconut cake, and it was outstanding—moist, rich, and full of flavor. Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ambience: 6/10
My recent visit for the soft opening was, overall, quite positive in many aspects. The food was delicious, and the service was truly exceptional. I was particularly impressed by the bar offerings, which were phenomenal. The restaurant's atmosphere was also notably unique, contributing to a memorable experience. However, I do feel it's important to mention a significant concern for those with respiratory sensitivities. There was a considerable amount of smoke and incense being burned throughout the restaurant. This was so pervasive that the scent lingered strongly in our hair and clothes even after we left. While I was very eager to explore more of the intriguing food and drink options, the intensity of the smoke unfortunately makes a return visit unfeasible for me due to my sensitivities.
Flavors were incredible! Vibe was great and service was perfect. A little disappointed on the portion size though ☹️
This is a great spot. The decor is amazing and very inviting. The entire staff is friendly and attentive. Parking might be a hassle during peak hours. Great menu. It’s tapas. I had the Pineapple and the two shots of tequila. Very good. I also had the fried chicken and the brioche toast. If there was any issue it was the flies at the bar. Even with that, I would still recommend.
I recently visited June, an elevated Mexican restaurant in Orlando, and while the presentation and atmosphere were beautiful, the food didn’t quite live up to the hype or the price point. We started with the guacamole, which looked stunning but didn’t quite hit the mark for me. It was served with olive oil in the center, an unusual touch that I didn’t love, and at $14–15, plus an $8 upcharge for additional sauces like mole and tomatillo, it felt a little excessive. The flavors just weren’t bold or memorable enough to justify a $23 appetizer. The cornbread was a pleasant surprise, warm, comforting, and paired with a light cream spread that I really enjoyed. My Wagyu tostada was also quite good flavorful and rich, though a bit on the salty side. I’d give it a solid 9/10. The creamy corn was tasty as well, but not particularly standout. For my main, I ordered the short rib ($68). The portion was generous, which I appreciated, but the meat was a bit too fatty and tender for my taste. The accompanying sauce had a muted sweetness that didn’t add much depth — if the sauce had been more flavorful this dish could’ve been incredible. Now, the drinks were definitely the stars of the night. The pineapple gin cocktail was absolutely delicious, refreshing and well-balanced and the watermelon margarita is something I’d honestly come back for on its own. If anything, I’d return to June just for the drinks and the ambiance.
Not worth the price. The atmosphere was aesthetic but it was so loud, I could not even hear the party I was with. Everything was overpriced , $275 for a bottle of casamigos blanco that you can get at Costco for $50. $22 for avacado smash that you can get way better at a mexican restaurant for $8. I love corn normally but their esquites smelled/tasted like farm food. Everything was just ok and wouldve preferred to spend my money elsewhere
Grafitti Junction was a MUCH better place for the community. June is an over priced spot that is not a regular spot for locals. All small plates so it is suggested you pre-eat unless you want to spend $100 to feel full. I've read the TMG group ios in legal troubles now.
I recently dined at June, a new upscale restaurant, and while the atmosphere was beautiful and vibrant, the experience was a bit mixed. The restaurant itself has great vibes — stylish, lively, and still bustling even at our late 8:45 PM reservation. It was on the noisy side, but not in a bad way, more like an energetic crowd. Unfortunately, the menu left us disappointed. Out of the five entrées available, the hanger steak was already sold out when we sat down, and by the time we ordered, the short rib was also gone. Four of us had been looking forward to it, so that was frustrating. We settled on the chicken, which was tender and had a nice texture, but the flavor didn’t stand out. I found myself still craving a hearty burger afterward. The avocado and salsa platter was decent, though heavy on cilantro — which isn’t for everyone. The chips, however, were the highlight of the meal: crisp, fresh, and genuinely delicious. Still, they didn’t quite justify the price tag. Drinks were another sore spot. We were upcharged $5 just to swap tequila for vodka, which meant cocktails came out to $20 each — a bit steep for what we received. Service was fine but on the slower side, which added to the overall sense that the evening didn’t quite match the upscale expectations. Overall, June shines in atmosphere and presentation, but between limited entrée availability, uneven flavors, and pricey drinks, I left underwhelmed. It has potential, but for now, it feels more like a spot for small plates and drinks than a satisfying dinner.
I made it very clear to our waiter: NO CILANTRO!!!!! Our guacamole came buried in cilantro so I sent it back. The kitchen scooped the cilantro off the top and sent us back a half order of guacamole. I should have sent that back too. Our hanger steak was tasty but was supposed to be for 2 people. I could have easily eaten this small steak myself. The quality was OK with areas of tough sinew we could not chew. We left hungry and disappointed never to return.
Stay for the vibes, the food is overhyped. The seating is crammed and for a tapas style restaurant, it was hard to get multiple people and plates together. The food is trying hard to be eclectic but leaves you wanting more. The peanut mixture is repetitive in many dishes and the flavors were really lacking. Presentation was there but overall a miss
I’ve been wanting to check out June after seeing it on TikTok and reading some great reviews. We went for Sunday brunch and our server, Sabrina, was fantastic. She was attentive, friendly, and really made the experience enjoyable. The restaurant itself is also beautiful. The Sunday brunch menu is fairly small. We started with the avocado appetizer, which is essentially a basic guacamole served with tostadas and six different salsas. That was excellent and a great way to start the meal. The grilled salad was just okay. We ordered three chicken sandwiches that had a lot of interesting flavors, but unfortunately the chicken was extremely dry. It really needed more mayo or some kind of dressing to balance it out. My husband ordered the crab tostadas. The order came with two, but they were very small for the price point. My son ordered the toast, which was great. The rock shrimp was a bit overpowered by the sauce. The chicken appetizer (similar to orange chicken) was a big hit with the kids. Dessert was definitely a highlight—every dessert we ordered was excellent. Overall, some dishes were great while others missed the mark. Our bill came to about $250 for two adults and three kids with no alcohol, which felt a bit high given the mixed results with the food.
Was so excited to try this place, the place is stunning it’s cozy rustic chic but still more so upscale. I was on a date catching up with a friend and he has dietary issues so I was trying to figure out what we could share on the menu. We ordered a bottle of wine and a few tapas, the waiter was cold and nonchalant right off the bat which already made me uncomfortable. After 30 mins of our arrival she had suggested the bar for a more casual experience which I was very off put by as we were sitting at a table and the restaurant wasn’t busy. Copious tables were open, I had wanted to order a few more tapas, dessert and we were ready for another bottle of wine. I felt so uncomfortable so I had asked my date to leave and have food else where. Very disappointed as I was really excited to try this place, regardless the tapas we had were good as well as the wine selection.
The drinks and servers were nice but the food was very overpriced and not very good. I tried almost every one of their options excluding mains and nothing blew me away. The $15 dollar smear of guacamole was super salty and we had to send it back. The $10 singular small fish taco was fine but a little fishy and not very flavorful for the price and size. The fried chicken was okay but came out room temp and the mushroom gnocchi was a little bland and had a strange texture. The atmosphere and drinks are what you should really go for but I don’t think I will ever eat here again when jinya and other options are literally across the street.
The decor was beautiful and intentional. The food was subpar. Definitely overrated. Ordered the Fried Chicken... which was basically sweet and sour chicken from a Chinese takeout. Jellied Tuna on a tostada? (eek). The fish taco was average at best and the Tamale "Dumplings" was actually inedible. They need a culinary focus on the small plates. Menu lacks balance and depth. I never provide bad reviews- but this menu was a disaster. Big disappointment. Would not recommend eating there.
finding parking was a nightmare. went for lunch and the menu was very limited. ordered the fish tacos, fried chicken, and avocado dip. fried chicken and avocado dip were extremely underwhelming with tiny portion sizes. i could definitely get better elsewhere at a cheaper price. fish tacos tasted so fishy and lacked flavor. overall this place is good for a photo op because of the cute interior and that’s it.
June has a really cute Tulum aesthetic and a nice vibe, but unfortunately the food just didn’t deliver. The presentation was nice, but the flavors were bland and overall not enjoyable. It feels more like a place you’d go for the atmosphere rather than a good meal. The space itself is super cute and has a great vibe, but the food really lacked flavor. Everything looked nice when it came out, but the taste just didn’t match the presentation. Disappointing overall, especially for the price. We ordered the esquite as an appetizer, it was alright but the puree in it threw it off I wouldn't get it again. We also ordered the avocado, it was decent we liked the salsa verde that came with it and the sesame seed mix. The chicken al pastor for two was a generous portion but very dry and no flavor. The service was decent, the waiter told my friend a salsa she requested wouldn't taste good with her dish so he actually didn't bring it. I also ordered a salad but he forgot to put it in, thankfully I realized that a little after we got our food but to be sure I pulled him over and told him I wanted to cancel it and he said it went over his head to put it in because we ordered so much food.. Mind you we ordered two appetizers to start for people and the Chicken Al Pastor and it was shared with three of us. If I came back it would be to enjoy drinks on their patio but it won't be for the food.
The food was good but the service ruined the entire experience. With such prices the server should go above and beyond to make the customers dining experience exceptional. I have dined in many restaurants in the Orlando area and this was by far the poorest experience I’ve had in a good few years. We were spoken to with disrespect and made to feel uncomfortable. While I respected the manager trying to ease our frustration by offering free desert, it still didn’t ease the situation as our server was in a terrible mood. Unfortunately none of us will be returning and we hope management can train their employees to treat customers with respect rather hold unsavory attitudes towards customers. In addition, we have dined at other establishments in this group including primrose, the acre and more and have never had an issue with foreign id’s. Be consistent throughout all establishments so it’s clearer to the customer. Overall I thought this was a poor experience and I hope servers can put aside their personal issues and treat everyone with common decency and respect. We will not be returning.
I had heard June was supposed to be a good restaurant in Thornton park. Since we were close my wife, daughter and I stopped in on Saturday at 2 pm. The restaurant less than half full, but I had to go look for a waitress after almost 10 minutes. Don’t bring young children, they don’t have booster seats and the host made it clear kids are not welcome. I ordered the chicken, it came overdone, the chicken was dry and the bread was burnt. My wife ordered the Short rib and eggs. The ribs were great. All in all it was very disappointing every time we needed something I had to go looking for my waitress and the food was a mix of poor to very good. I don’t recommend June, there are too many great restaurants around it
I was really excited for this one. So bummed that the experience was not good. Our server was great. We were sat outside in the farthest table from the restaurant so that felt off. But we went with it. We ordered cocktails, My husband ordered the Pineapple and I ordered the Pepper. His drink came out with ice and a decor, mine came out plain no ice. I was a bit confused so I asked for a cup of ice, added my drink, it was not good. Couldn’t taste the flavors mentioned. Thai basil and lime? Nope. So we ordered the corn and sweet potato’s. The corn was over salted and the potatoes were just plain. My husband was starving and ate the corn so i couldn’t get a picture 😂. I ended it here. Not going to waste my money or time. Bummer. Our server was very sweet!
