Red Oven Pizza Bakery offers a decent pizza experience, especially after a long day at Universal parks. The Italian meat pizza is a popular choice, and some customers appreciate the ability to refill their own drinks. However, service can be inconsistent, with some customers experiencing slow service or inattentive staff.
Tip: Red Oven Pizza Bakery is a good option when visiting or leaving Universal parks.
We walked right in, no wait, placed our order was given a number and sat down at one of the outside tables. After a roughly 10 minute wait, we had our four pizzas. There are napkins, plates, silverware, and pepper flakes at a self serve counter. Drinks were large in size. Pizza was great and perfect size for one person.
You are in one of the best Pizza places while in Citywalk. Staff are good, hospitable and take care of you and suggest the pizza 🍕 choices that work for you.
Very good pizza! Delicious. Fresh. Not expensive. Good toppings. One of the best places in all of Universal to eat at.
I love eating pizza here! It’s different from the regular fast food giant pepperoni pizza. They have only few flavors but they are greatly chosen and well made. Service is great and usually fast. We choose a marguerita to eat 2 people. It serves 2 people if you’re not too hungry. Price is completely affordable and the place is clean and has a great seating area. It’s honestly a good option for the end of a busy day with your family at the parks or just walking around city walk, with also the option to order from mobile and just pick it up to go. I definitely recommend.
Great pizza … and the best Caesar Salad I had.. it was huuuuuuuge and delicious 🤤 and only $11.99 I think … you can’t beat that !! I love the place .. great location in City
So we thought that this place was going to be underwhelming but I was pleasantly surprised. This place had great pizza, I even told my friends and family why we didn't try it sooner! I tried the fennel sausage pizza and my wife had the roasted chicken. They were both amazing! Give it a try I know you'll be pleasantly surprised!
These pizzas were amazing! We got the Prosciutto Arugula and the Alla Benno with gluten-free thin crusts. I highly recommend them, especially if you like gourmet food and would wanna try something different than the basic pizza flavors. The service was pretty good and the waitresses very nice and kind. The only thing was that we got there around 2 pm and it was very busy, therefore we had a bigger wait time for our pizzas (35-40 mins wait) than you’d normally have, so I suggest getting there and ordering during a less busy time. Other than that, it was a great experience and would definitely order pizza from there again.🍕🔥💯
Always the nicest staff (thanks AMANDA) and delicious sweet pizza, this place is a lifesaver! My 12 year old always wants to get the pepperoni pizza to go to eat on the ride home (of course I steal a few slices). Just the right size for two hungry people (and we usually have left overs). Plus I love how you can order it in the park app BUT now I learned not to order too early because it gets made within 30 minutes (I'll wait after I get off Hagrids:) The server Amanda was so kind to remake the pizza for us, it was great!
The pizza was absolutely delicious, and the turnaround time was impressively fast, even though the place was packed.
Ate here today during a visit to universal studios and the pizza was actually quite good. Pros: -staff member Dee is a real highlight with a friendly smile and great service - food tastes great and they let you order half half margarita and pepperoni Cons: maybe a tad expensive compared to blaze pizza at Disney springs.
Very good pizza, great fresh ingredients, very nice chew to the crust
The pizza have a good taste and also when your order thru the app the food is in your table really fast, the only suggestion I have is the waitress need to have more interaction with the customer. service, need to be improve cause next to us a family didn’t know about you need to order the food from the app. And the family leave the place cause the waitress never came to the family’s table to explain the process
The pizza was AMAZING, even on a busy night the pizza came out quickly after we ordered it. But seriously some of the best pizza I’ve ever had.
This place has excellent service and good food. Lots of complaints on here about wait times, but this is a busy place and you watch the cooks form the dough and make the pizzas so of course it’s going to take time. It’s excellent!! Employees are friendly and the food is delicious. Try it!! You won’t regret it!
This is literally the best pizza I’ve had. We’ve been in Universal for 3 days and we’ve had it 3 times. The crust is the perfect texture of a little crispy with a good chew to it. The toppings are phenomenal. The staff is great too, I believe our server’s name was Hollyanne and she was excellent. Would highly recommend
Great overall experience. Pizza was delicious. Seating was nice with a view of Citywalk and live music. Service was awesome and multiple servers asked if we needed anything. Drink options are limited to soda and beer, however there are spots nearby for better drinks. I would highly suggest trying them out.
Brick oven pizza was great. The crust was nice and crispy and the flavor of the red sauce was delicious. Great marghareita pizza!
We waited a while for a seat. Its 1st come 1st serve on tables. If a table clears on the other side of the room and some one beats you to it its your loss. Service was fast they took our drinks and food. Look at the menu while you wait for a table to save time. The pizzas where hot right out of the oven.
Great place to stop on your way out from universal studios. The pizzas are about $12-$16, so we shared one which was plenty of food. They have it set up well so that you order your food, take a table number, an employees seats you at a table, and then they bring your pizza. It was nice to have eat somewhere that was quick (and not a sit down restaurant), while also being guaranteed a table to sit at.
Red Oven Pizza Bakery is awesome! The pizza is fresh, flavorful. The atmosphere is nice and convenient right in CityWalk. Definitely worth a stop if you’re craving good pizza! Prices are reasonable.
I am not a fan of technology so I didn't think I would like the ordering system that required you to scan a QR code with your phone. However, I found it worked smoothly. I thought the pizzas were really good. Excellent! I loved the fennel sausage pizza in particular. The service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere was electric as this is located just outside of both universal studios parks - so there were a lot of excited people coming here to eat after visiting the parks. We were able to get a table quickly. There are tables out in the sun and tables in the shade, but no dining inside the building. There's also no bathroom here - you need to go a little further towards the parks to find some public restrooms.
Why is this place only 3.8 stars? It’s the perfect meal to end a long day at the parks and the rating should be much higher. Maybe the wait times aren’t ideal or people had a service issue here and there. But, this is a very convenient option outside of the parks and the food quality is exceptional for the price. The pizza options were excellent, and tasted delicious. We did wait a while for our salads but they were refreshing after all the fried food we’d eaten at the parks earlier in the day.
A mi me encantó. Rica de sabor y buen tamaño.
A pizza place located on the Citywalk in Universal. They are one of the places that were open late, which we were happy about. They have same very different unique pizzas. You are able to order an alcohol beverage here too, like a beer or seltzer. They have a few tables to sit at with heating lamps (it was definitely chilly at night), but we took ours to go. The staff was nice and the food didn't take long at all.
Order on the app if you have an allergy or intolerance. The cashier didn't hear me ask for gluten free. The prosciutto was a little too salty. I am not sure if the lemon drizzle added salt but I would have preferred that on the side probably. There's plenty of pictures of the regular pizza which looks great but I thought I should let people know the gluten free is the standard flat pizza that's just ok
This place has very good pizza. Good service, clean, and good atmosphere. We didn't have any issue with service. The staff was kind and courteous.
Food is great and reasonably priced. Have eaten there more than once. But food prep is SLOW. Mobile ordered ahead most recent visit. Arrived 5 minutes into my 15 minute pickup window. Food was finally ready almost immediately 30 minutes later. I think some of the delay is due to the way universal structures. It’s app for mobile food ordering. It uses precise location services, and if you’re not in close proximity to the food location, it will not trigger in order to prepare the food. However, I’m not certain if that fully explains the delay in service. Most tables were empty. I had a polite conversation with the manager who was very polite. She offered a full refund. Thanks to her, we’ll return.
Pizza was decent. Service was fast when we went. Good for grabbing a quick bite
Always a busy spot, this pizza place is good but not great - after a long day at the park it gets the job done! There is too much crust and the toppings aren’t so flavorful.
Pizza isn’t bad! I liked the pizza I got ! I recommend getting a pie from here. It’s about the same price as many other things in the park but better tasting and worth the money.
It was a jam-packed dinner time, but the waiter did a great job of taking the order as fast as he could. We had to wait for 15-20 mins to get the order pickup. We ordered a chicken pizza, and it tasted good but was lacking sauce. So it felt dry. There are definitely better options than this in the CityWalk area. I would not be coming back again to eat here. Instead would try other restaurants in the area
Pizza was excellent. Hot and made to order. I pretty much ate the entire thing by myself (margarita pie). Considering all the high prices around this area, this place isn't that bad on prices. This pie cost 15$ and could easily share it. I wish it was like Blaze pizza, in the sense where you pick and build your pie. Still very good pizza reasonably priced.
Red Oven Pizza Bakery serves a wide array of pies to suits virtually every palette. We ordered the Margarita pizza and while the crust was cooked to perfection, I wasn’t particularly a fan of the tomato chunks and was expecting a more traditional sauce. Never the less, the menu items were reasonably priced and the pizza achieved a high quality.
7 out of 10. Pizza has gone down a little in taste. It is better than most. Good taste and crispy. The arugula and Italian ham was nice. Nice and laid back. It is like a salad on a pizza with Italiandressing. It is weird and works good. (( Bring plastic straws. They have those horrible paper straws. My straw dies in 5 minutes. ))
This is located inside of Universal Orlando's Citywalk, so you either have to pay for parking in the garages or visit after 6pm for free parking. I grabbed a to go pizza on the way out of the theme parks. I love the ability to customize my pizza in order to accommodate for allergies. The crust is thick and toppings just right. While there are a few vegetarian options, I did not see any vegan options on the menu. All seating is outdoors, but under a covered top. Pizzas are one size, fit for about two people, and run about $14-$16.
Loved the pizza, it was fresh and delicious! Sadly service was not so great. It was a busy night after park closure and we were not provided any plates or napkins to eat our pizza. Service was limited to just being given our pizza and soda. I have had better experience before though. I was even offered a glass of water in the past while the server made sure I knew how to work the app. I guess it was because of how busy they were that quality of service lowered so much. Other than that, it was a nice diner.
We ordered on the mobile app and the food didn’t take too long once we sat and put our table info in. The table wasn’t clean when we got there but once we brought it up to a staff member they were quick and happy to help. It definitely felt like they were understaffed and doing their best! The food was good, not the best pizza I had ever had, but it was still tasty! The dough was sweet and soft (I usually tend to like a more crisp pizza) and the toppings were delicious and fresh. Definitely try the pesto pizza while you’re there. The prices are reasonable too for the size of the pizza.
This is located inside Universal City Walk. Can’t miss the big red oven sign upfront. Close to Starbucks on main drag as you come into the area from the parking lot. Seating was more than adequate, you order from the counter then they give you a table number stand that you bring to your table and they bring your order table side. Service was quick and friendly and order came pretty quickly too, we came during peak lunch time and we got it in less than 20 minutes. The lunch crowd on a weekend was average. There was 3 or 4 in queue to place an order. We ordered the Italian pizza and it was disappointing. I have to admit that i am not big on pizzas to begin with and this one in particular would not have converted me. My hubby who is, agreed with me though. I would skip this place and find another dining option inside City Walk or wait till you go for cheaper / better options. The crust had a decent chew but the toppings and cheese was bland and flavor less. Cost was typical for any dining inside Universal City Walk, over priced for what you get. The medium pizza we shared and drinks total came up to about $35. Drink refills is free, keep your receipt, you need to show it at the counter for the refill. They have plates and cutleries and red pepper flakes and parmesan cheese accessible. Menu was bare bones so if you want more than pizza, definitely skip this place. There are plenty more to choose from.
I got the cheese pizza. It was pretty mediocre. Texture was amazing, but the flavor was actually pretty bland. It really needed some parmesan and crushed red pepper flakes, but there wasn't enough to go around; not every table had the shaker bottles. Pricing was good. Service was really good. Seating is all outside.
Pizza was pretty good but service is horrible. Ordered our pizza togo and was told it would take 15-20 minutes. Wrong, it took an hour, just left the park, it was hot, humid and we we just wanted to get our pizza to go home. At an hour wait, went to the front to speak with someone, looked like 2 managers walk by and not one acknowledged me, workers were standing around laughing in the back, workers were leaving with their own pizzas. There was a crowd around the pickup window so several people had been waiting for a while. Had to go inside to ask a cashier since no one would stop to help, finally saw an employee approach the front with a pizza, he asked one person of it was there's, they said no and he put it on the side, never yelled out the name or made any attempt to find the person picking up. That's when I realized my order was sitting on the counter, cold, no one called out my name and when I had previously asked, was told it wasny ready if they hadn't called out my name. Horrible experience!
For a restaurant “specializing” in pizza only this was a disappointing visit for us. Their pizzas aren’t anything great or have anything special tasting about them. Quite bland and their service is next to nothing. I guess it’s because they’re in a very high traffic area that’s why their service and food is mediocre but knowing that they should be focusing on their weak points.
Servicable pizza. Two people can share one, usually. Beer! Quick meal in chaotic CityWalk. Lots of seating.
Barely deserving a 3 star option, Red Oven has gone WAY down hill. The pizzas used to be flavorful and well made and now it’s luck - they could be great or sloppily made with no flavor. When they are good, they are still really good - but the consistency has gone way down hill since they opened. Service at this location has always been a bit rough - you are lucky to get a grunt of acknowledgement when you order. Seating is outside and the pizza will be delivered to you... if they don’t forget about you. They abandoned the system which tells them who is sitting where, so now they just search around for the numbers. Like I said... barely 3 star. Only deserves it when you get the good pizza which reminds you of when they opened.
Our pizza was really good. But the cashier has issues with hearing and understanding. We repeated our order 5 times as slowly as possible and he struggled. Not sure if the atmosphere is too loud for him but we were hungry and ready to eat! Good food lack of customer service
Came to the park at Universal for Halloween horror nights & decided to get a quick bite & over all it was a great place! The pizza was really good but the service could be better. I felt it was hard to just order especially if you've never been & don't really know how the flow works, usually in that case you have workers to help you but this wasn't the case. I spent $30 that was for a personal pizza (6 slices) pepperoni & jalapeños& a Side ceasar salad with no meat. I felt the price was expensive for the portion of the food we got. It honestly would feed one person from what I saw, but it worked out for my partner & I. It was really good tho! Just know that when you get there you can order straight from the universal studios app or you can go up to the counter to order. They will bring the food once you pay & if you need anything else you have to go back to the counter& ask for it. Then they will bring it for you. It was outside seating only!! So sometimes that can be rough depending on the heat of the weather. Otherwise pizza was great!
The pizza wasn’t fresh; it tasted like it had been sitting a while. It was a clean restaurant tho.
First time here and the seating and ordering were quite confusing. When we arrived, the host told us to seat ourselves if we see a free table or we can go order for to-go. She didn’t really instruct us with much details so we shuffled our way through the crowded restaurant to find an empty table. It took us a few mins of waiting around to get a table and we sat ourselves down. We sat there for a few moments wondering if a server was going to approach our table but they just walk pass tending to others. It took us a bit of looking around to see a sign at the front that says to order on the app and enter table number for food to be brought out. I wish the host had informed us beforehand. What if we weren’t observant enough? We would’ve just sat there for who knows how long. Anyways, we ordered two pizzas + appetizer: the spinaci pizza, margherita pizza, and caprese salad. Everything was tasty and came out in a timely manner. No complaints there besides the servicing part.
Wood fired pizza is a well-known science, so you should expect at least a baseline of taste and service, but unfortunately, Red Oven misses the mark. The pizzas took an unreasonably long time to arrive (over 30 minutes) and were very dry, with dusty flour and not enough sauce. The toppings are sparse and one was even missing a key ingredient (the pineapple on a ham and pineapple pizza.) I was really hungry, so I ate without complaint, but I would not come here again.
Disappointed Longtime Fan – Not the Same Anymore I used to absolutely love the Margherita pizza here and would rave about it As a local in Central Florida, I’ve recommended this spot countless times to friends and visitors alike, especially those heading to the theme parks or CityWalk. Unfortunately, my visit today—June 19, 2025—was a huge disappointment. After months, I finally came back for what used to be my favorite pizza, only to find that the quality has gone downhill. The flavors, the freshness of the tomato sauce, the overall experience—it just wasn’t the same. I did get confirmation from an employee they changed the ingredients. 🥺😢 the sauce has been changed definitely. It truly saddens me to say I can no longer recommend this place. What was once a must-visit gem has lost its magic. Such a shame. As for the overall experience, it’s definitely changed. Now you have to do everything yourself—grab your own plates, silverware, and condiments. I understand that a lot of places are cutting back on staff and shifting more responsibility to the customer/consumer, just like self-checkout at stores etc.. I get it. But still, a little communication would go a long way. When the pizza was brought to our table, the server just dropped it off and walked away. A simple heads-up like, “Plates, silverware, Parmesan, and pepper flakes are over there,” would’ve been appreciated. It felt a bit impersonal compared to how attentive the service used to be.
Upon arrival, there were no clean tables. We had to clear one ourselves. After ordering our pizzas we waited for approximately 50 minutes to receive our food. The pizzas were not all the same temperature. It appears as if some were cooked while others were forgotten. The ones forgotten were then made and the ones already cooked had to sit and wait and get cold, as opposed to making them all fresh, which would seem like the proper thing to do. My wife mentioned the long wait to the person who brought the pizzas, they did not seem interested. Needless to say, we were not pleased with the experience.
We were looking for quick service to grab food and take back to our hotel. When we asked about wait time, we were told a pizza would take about 10–15 minutes. Instead, we waited nearly 50 minutes for a single pizza. As we watched several customers who ordered after us receive their food, I asked for an update. The employee checked with the pizza maker, and it became clear there was an issue. We were then told the pizza had been burned and needed to be remade. Unfortunately, there was little apology or explanation, and pizzas for later orders continued to come out while we waited. We eventually received our pizza after almost 50 minutes, which was disappointing given the initial estimate and lack of communication
Worst experience ordering a pizza! If you are ready to wait 25-40 min for 1 box of 6 slides you more than welcome! Employees are careless here.
The pizza had no sauce that I could see .No taste .Would definitely not go back.
We got served a pizza with a bite out of it, after waiting an extra 20 minutes because the first one was dropped. They took no ownership and said staff wouldnt have bitten it. Clearly a retuned pizza from another customer that may have realized it wasn’t theirs. Disgusting.
Absolutely flavorless. No salt or garlic in the sauce. Even toppings and sauces lacked flavor. Better off eating in the park for pizza.
Ordered 2 pizzas. Both were completely burned and one of the pizzas wasn't even what we ordered. "Cupped pepperoni" was not, it was standard large regular pepperoni. No idea what the mushroom pizza tastes like because we were given chicken pesto. What they taste like isn't relevant because they were quite burned.
Very confusing and disorganized!! We went to order our food and they told us we could sit down anywhere for the service, great. We sit down and all of the sudden this really rude guy named Jessie asked us what we were doing and kicked us out of our seats saying they were reserved and needed to go to the BACK on the line AGAIN. He was so unprofessional! Then we waited at the reserved seats line and when we got our reserved table the same Jessie guy told us to go clean our own table, which was so gross! Then no one came to take our order for like 45 minutes. Finally we went up to this really nice guy named Jeremiah who helped us and we appreciated his help, but Jessie and the system of the restaurant is a complete disaster and we’re NEVER coming back!!
I waited 30 minutes for a mobile order that was never received. I ordered one cheese pizza. I watched everyone around me get there pizzas that arrived after me. No one was even available to talk to. Terrible customer service.
It took 35 MINUTES to receive my subpar $14 plain cheese pizza. To top it off, the pizza was burnt and tasted like one of those home ec class pizzas that middle schoolers make. You’re better off making a lunchables pizza at home than this trash. Learn from my mistake and don’t waste your time and money here. Also, the pizza is super tiny for the price. Similar to pizza huts personal pan pizza size.
Pizza was not particularly good but not terrible. But it wasn't busy. The cashier told us there were no tables so we "had" to to go order. There were maybe 1/3 tables filled. 35 minutes later - again not busy- I complained to waitress. She took receipt and put it up on their rack. 10 minutes later they put it in oven. Watched them pull it out and slide it to side. 5 minutes later I asked and the waitress and she pulled it down and boxed it up uncut. Roughly 55 minutes for totally unremarkable pizza. Only two guys actually working. But three staff were trying to turn on a heater. One lady paced back and forth and another ONLY waited to cut pizzas - which rarely came. Seriously, if there is one reason to go to this place it's to watch how unbelievably inefficient the kitchen work flow is. No apology. Just "here you go".
Took 45 minutes to get 1 plain pie. Mobile not working everyone there looking like they didn't care. Then when it was made it was put under heating lamps . Nobody called our our name to get it. Its a wonder how they keep the lights on
The food looked really nice, but it was lacking in flavor. I got the pepperoni pizza. There was 1 piece of pepperoni per slice (6 slice pizza). That seems extremely skimpy and embarrassing, even though each was a large piece of pepperoni. It was sadder because the pepperoni was the only thing adding flavor to the pizza. The cheese was okay, but the dough was bland. The cashier was very pleasant and very helpful when ordering. The manager checked on us and brought us plates we had missed at the self serve station. The person who delivered the pizzas was also very pleasant.
Not sure what happened to this place. Pizza was very good when it first opened. Fast forward to today and you get a pizza with virtually no sauce, what appears to be lower quality cheese that is burnt, and nobody bringing the pizza to your table. Really sad.
I do not recommend Red Oven. Terrible service. I ordered a Margherita pizza and they brought me a different flavor. I asked to exchange it and the server was rude, grabbed a ready-made mozzarella pizza, put the cheese on it, and handed it to me as if it were a Margherita. Bad pizza, terrible service, one of the worst experiences I've ever had.
Still waiting on food for 20 minutes now. Was not informed there was a system to wait for a table. Attempted to get a table and then someone with the restaurant informed me others were waiting for a table ahead of us. Poor, poor communication on the part of every person that works at this restaurant. Hoping the pizza looks better than it does in the reviews posted here previously. Update. After 45 minutes finally received our food. Still had to get our own plates, napkins and silverware. Pizza was pretty good. Definitely not coming back.
Terrible service it’s basically sit and figure it out. Got sat down after waiting more than ten minutes in line just to sit another fifteen minutes to have to look for someone to help place an order and get attitude from a server “I believe” or employee named AMANDA who my mom kindly asked for help and got ignored. After walking up to ask for help she gives attitude and says well “IF IT”S BUSY YOU HAVE TO WAIT” rolled eyes, shook head and walked off. Another employee helped us named Steven and was then able to place the order. Only excuse they give you is we’re pretty busy amd that’s no excuse to treat customers that way I’m sure it’s always busy and in Reality it’s not even 50% capacity. Review doesn’t deserve not even the one star. 30 minutes later after complaint still waiting and after telling Steven we been waiting about an hour he argues saying it hasn’t been so when we know what time we got here and sat down but I understand they want to be right and customer wrong. Still sitting here waiting and thought we will never get plates or cutlery while everyone else who sat down after us got better service. Will definitely not recommend this place to anyone and should have looked at the bad reviews to know what to expect.Customers behind us came in 45 minutes after and placed order after and recieved order before us. Ridiculous.
The pizza was a fair price and tasted pretty good until I noticed a roach in the pizza box! And then when we moved the pizza we spotted three more! We ordered right before closing after Halloween Horror Nights so we had no chance of them remaking it.
