Talkin' Tacos SoDo

I am visiting Florida and I saw this place on instragram, so I of course had to try before I fly back. To say the least, my husband and I were not disappointed. Ryan was super nice and welcoming. We got our food fast and I couldn’t stop my food dance while I ate. I got the takis birria tacos and my husband got the carne asada tacos.

The food was clean and fresh — surprisingly okay overall. It tasted more like commercial-grade rather than authentic, but it was still enjoyable. The only downside was the broth; it looked old and as if it might’ve been reused. Aside from that, everything else was fresh and well-prepared. BirraTacos and my husband had the Quesa Rito. Both very cheesy and hardy.

Angelica went above and beyond to service us she was so sweet so kind we really appreciate it. The food was delirious! We will definitely be back.

If there is something my Wife and I have tried in Orlando a lot in so many places...that is Tacos! from food trucks to fusion tacos to Mexican restaurants and so. We decided to give Talking Tacos a try, and they didn't disappoint at all! The place decor is very fun! The service was super nice from the moment we were greeted. The food didn't take very long, and it was fresh, hot and very well presented! We got the Shrimp Bang bang tacos, the Carne Asada (some bites were a bit hard...but tasted very good!) The Birria Ramen was soooo good! and the Corn "esquite" was very good as well! We are definitely adding this place to our favorite list!

The food here is hot and fresh and tastes so good! We came here after a long day at Universal and the food really hit the spot. Julia was kinda and helpful. Definitely check them out for unique dishes, highly recommend the birria quesadilla.

Great value, choose 3 items for $16! I tried the Caribbean Birria and the Bang Bang Shrimp. The bang bang wasn't exactly traditional, but still really tasty. The spice sauces are solid, and they give you a side of their cooking broth, which was a nice touch. Loved the food overall. Only downside, the music was a bit too loud. You order on a screen and they deliver to your table.

WOW! 5 stars across the table! Amazing Service from Riley and Emily as well as the vibe; INCREDIBLE! We are not from the area but venture out this way every so often, I am 10000% coming back for the amazing street corn and delicious quesabirras. It may be small but Talkin Taco is MIGHTY!!!

This was such a fun place! It was decorated so well and the food was so flavorful. I got their birria tacos and those did not disappoint. Their horchata was a bit too sweet for me, but their chips and queso was hands down some of the best I've had! You've got to come visit!!

From the food to the service not one bad thing to say about this restaurant. The taco trio is one of the best dishes they have. The taco portion sizes are very large for the price and cannot recommend the churros and horchata enough. Would spend the money to just eat dessert there. The service was outstanding very polite and kind.

We were visiting Orlando and were craving birria tacos. We Googled taco spots and decided upon Talking Tacos because of the reviews and recommendations from local Floridians. We’re glad we did! I give Talking Tacos 5 stars across the board: Talking Tacos SoDo is an amazing Birria Taco restaurant. The ingredients are fresh and the taste is amazing, and the service is top notch. Riley and Ryan are friendly, customer service oriented, and helpful with recommendations based on our tastes. I especially recommend the birria tacos of course, the fresh guacamole and pico de gallo, street corn in a cup, and chicken quesabirria. However, one can’t go wrong with whatever you order. The entire menu is fantastic!

Small space with limited seating, but we were able to get a table. Ordering on a tablet was easy. Staff wasn’t very welcoming, but the interior made up for it. Food was fresh, came out quickly, and was absolutely delicious. Definitely worth every penny, our new favorite spot and better than any Mexican food chain, in my opinion.

First time trying Birria Tacos and Birria Mac & Cheese — and wow, absolutely incredible! 🔥 Both dishes were bursting with flavor, easily a 10/10. Everything here is 100% halal. 🙌 Once you’re done with your mains, don’t skip the churros — quite possibly the best I’ve ever had 👀. All in all, this spot is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Amazing staff! Super attentive with everyone. Had issues with my mother’s tacos because she has stomach issues; Riley was very concerned and fixed the issue right away by giving her chicken tacos based on her allergies. Always asking if everything is okay! Haven’t had this type of customer service in a while. Honestly best place for bomb tacos, atmosphere, and vibes! They have a self ordering kiosk, you place your order, pay and wait for your order. The food doesn't come out all at once, they serve it as it comes out. I will say they're generous with the meat and the presentation is great but the food definitely lacks seasoning and flavor in my opinion. I was also not a fan of the steak texture. We had birria bowl, birria tacos, steak tacos and churros. The place is nicely decorated with neon paint that seems to glow under the black lights. The place was clean and staff was nice. Overall I was disappointed we didn't end up liking the food especially for the $ we spent.

National taco Tuesday is on Tuesday. I won’t be able to do that since I work so I made it for today and I got the brewery of mac & cheese. There’s too much beef very oily lots of mac & cheese as a vegetarian it grossed me out a little bit. I just wanted to try some mac & cheese overall it was really good. They’re strawberry blue lemonade. Drink is also OK. It taste like Gatorade so not the best. Their service is a self check-in computer if you don’t directly talk to anybody, which is nice. It’s very crowded very fast and very loud very fast

I was door dashed food while vacationing in Orlando. The food was phenomenal, and then we got to the dessert…… A piece of what I assume is red plastic was found in the churro dip sauce. My entire family ate the food, And once we found out what was in it, everyone felt ill. DoorDash only gave me a refund for one of the churros I bought. I don’t know if DoorDash lets the owners of the actual restaurant know these issues, I personally didn’t reach out to them myself. I don’t think anything, but a full refund on the entire meal is acceptable.

We are regulars who come every other night to talking tacos for over a year and last night was probably the worst service I have ever experienced my entire life. If you’re overwhelmed with orders and can’t keep up- close online orders, pickup orders, and do your god damn best. Instead they left it open and I was one of the misfortunate people who placed an order expecting it to be ready at the time it stated it would be. We got there 1am expecting it to be finished as it was due to be ready at 12:50am and the parking lot was full, place packed to the brim, and the workers doing more talking then cooking. Not a single worker seemed to have any customer service experience as they seemed to ignore every customer in the place. Any orders they did finish was placed on the counter without confirming it or making any eye contact with guests. It took another customer who had been waiting for an hour at the time to walk up to the pickup area and start calling names for orders. People were standing on tables just trying to see if their order was ready it was truly so unorganized. A scene was made after a worker started an argument with a customer, the worker over escalated the whole situation and the police was called. Around 3 cop cars outside while my boyfriend remained inside. After people were running out my boyfriend managed to speak to the manager where he asked to cancel his order and receive a refund. The manager apologized for the situation; but stated since he was so busy and the place was packed he couldn’t provide a refund as we had made our pickup order online and he couldn’t get to a computer. He promised to remember our order number and refund us as soon as he had control of the situation, and prompted us to leave, by this time it was 2am. Come the morning, and still no refund. Around 1pm today we went back to the restaurant and spoke to a worker about a refund about last night’s situation. We never got our food and our time was wasted. He apologized but said all he could do was take down my name, number, and order number and message the manager, he stated as soon as he texted him it would get done. I asked if there was a number I can take to contact them as the one on google was disconnected, and one of the over hearing workers over the counter, a woman, shook her head no. Again we were left to leave with no solution. It is now 6pm and I still haven’t received a refund or a call or any communication. So now I am left to search the internet for a corporate number to complain. We have been loyal customers for almost 2 years, despite the good food and all other good times, after that service, it makes me never want to come back. Do with that what you must.
