The chef and restaurant were amazing! We loved every bit of the food; it was a perfect 10 out of 10. My husband especially enjoyed the steak skewers, as they were so tasty. He also tried the matcha margarita and thought it was delicious. We had a wonderful time and are definitely planning to come back for more great food.

Had a wonderful time here for date night with my wife. Rex took great care of us and we will definitely be back. We had multiple great rolls, our favorites being the Hawaiian and Mexican rolls. We also loved the Hawaiian Ahi Tuna Poke appetizer!

Philip was super friendly, really helpful. Fun to talk to. The beef short ribs were so good as was the NY steak. The sushi was next level

Great food, excellent vibes! Olivia our server was knowledgeable about the menu, made great recommendations, and checked on us regularly without being intrusive. It really made the meal more enjoyable. You can tell they care about their guests. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The food was amazing! The restaurant has a close and personal feel. It makes the dining experience feel very intimate. We got a lot of items but our favorites were the Yellowtail hand roll, and the scallop hand roll. Super fresh and delicious!

The food was absolutely delicious with a wonderful variety of options to choose from. The ambiance was calm and relaxing, making it the perfect setting for a cozy meal. This was our first time outside our comfort zone since we wanted to order something different from the sushi we’d normally get! so we decided to ask our waitress Jessica for recommendations.. We had an amazing time! The place has cool vibes and atmosphere. I came with my partner and had the perfect date. AJ was our server, he was always aware of my shellfish allergy. We the yellowtail truffle tiradito (my favorite), tonkotsu ramen (it was our first time trying ramen and we absolutely loved it!), takoyaki, akasaka roll and real lobster roll. We also had the Lychee Martini and the Cucumber-Lime Mojito (both were deliciousssss). Thank you guys we had such a great time here:)

Tapanomi is easily on my most recommended restaurants in Orlando! The was a lovely variety of food and it was all so delicious! I loved the specialty drinks that each had a fun twist to them. I recommend the sushi style tapas, okonomiyaki, and the matcha margarita! I will definitely be returning and bring all my friends!

My friend and I got off work late and were scrambling for a place to eat and stumbled upon this place. Safe to say, It did NOT disappoint. EVERY dish, EVERY drink, was divine. We got hand rolls, ramen, skewers, and small plates and every single time something new came to the table our mouths were on the floor. Olivia and Chef Shin went above and beyond to make our experience the best it could be. The vibes were quiet and peaceful, a true vintage Izakaya. Very accommodating to my allergies.

We had excellent sushi here with almost no wait. We strongly recommend the sushi rolls - Flaming K was an awesome salmon and avocado roll; super volcano is excellent if you like Kani salad on your roll. Fresh fish with generous portions. Our server, Lexi, was timely and courteous.

The restaurant’s ambiance is cozy and inviting. It’s very clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The owner takes his time preparing the food and personally checks in with guests to make sure they’re enjoying their experience. Our server Olivia was great as well and always made sure we had everything we needed! 10/10!

The team was amazing and able to accommodate our group for a wonderful night out! We did have a reservation for 6 people since this is on the smaller side of the restaurant.

Really cute concept for a girls night out or date night!! Service was great and the food came out fast. Food was delicious, especially the skewers, hand rolls, and sushi roll. One star off because the ramen wasn’t a favorite.

Overhyped and a disappointment. Despite having a reservation, we weren't seated in the restaurant, but in the sister restaurant, Akasaka, instead. After being seated, we were told that we could order off both the Akasaka menu and Tapanomi menu. However, our server didn't really know anything about the Tapanomi menu when we asked for clarification on some dishes. We waited about 15min for the hand rolls to come out, and the fish didn't taste fresh at all. The sushi rice wasn't even seasoned properly. Then we waited another 45min for the skewers to come out, only for them to be cold and/or burnt. The eggplant skewer wasn't even cooked through. Then we find out that the server forgot to put in the nigiri we had ordered, but by that point we were so disappointed that we just paid and left. Prices were reasonable for the location, but I haven't been this disappointed in a new restaurant in a long time.
